BO Ent XI 3.1 SP3 is compatible with WIN 32 bit OS or WIN 64 bit OS

Hi,
I am in a process of upgrading the Business Objects(BO) Enterprise XI R2-SP2 to BO Ent XI 3.1-SP3.
BO Ent XI R2 is running on Windows Server 2003 -32 bit with 16 GB RAM.
I wish to know whether there is any Operating System upgrade is recommended for BO Ent XI 3.1 considering performance and server load handling.
Can a upgrade to 64bit OS similar to Windows 7 improve the RAM utilisation and boost the performance.
Your suggestions are welcome.
Regards,
Neonevin

  • Is Adobe Story CS6 Compatible with Win 8?

I am about to install Windows 8 Pro and it says that Adobe Story has a "paid" update to win 8.  Is this so?  I have Adobe Master Collection CS6 and Adobe Story is included.  It does state that my "collection" is good.  I am confused about this for sure.
It also says that Adobe Media Player is  not compatible with Win 8.  Will this effect my Master Collection CS6 functionality?
    Thanks in advance.

One of the differences between the Creative Cloud and the Master Collection is that application updates are included. I am unsure about the status of the version of Story included in MSCS6 and the latest one available. Which came with your MSCS6?

  • How do i know if my itunes is compatible with windows 64 bit?

How do i know if my itunes is compatible with windows 64 bit?

Did you download the 64-bit installer?
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT) as you start iTunes, then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

  • Sound Card not compatible with WIN 7

I have a Dell 8200 Dimension Desktop (vintage 2002)?that I?ve just upgraded from XP Pro to Win 7. My Turtle Beach sound card no longer works since it is not compatible with Win 7. When I tried to install a non-Dell sound card, I found that the two sockets were not compatible with the Dell cables. I was told that I must have a Dell card since the plugs were proprietory Dell. I was given a Dell part number (38FRH) which supposedly was the card that would work as a replacement, i.e., be compatible with Windows 7. Dell no longer stocks this card since they stop supporting their computers after they are 5 years old.
Can?anyone help me solve my problem?

Which Dell cables? To the speakers? If so, time to change the speakers then.
Also try online such as eBay. Google for "Dell 38FRH". Ignore the Windows 7 drivers links. First few I found were fakes/scams. Scroll down. On the first page there were a couple of sites that carried it.
I would rather change the sound card [get something "modern"] and speakers than continue to use proprietary stuff.
Using Win 7 on an 8 year old system? Yeeesh.

  • P6210f compatible with Win 8?

I have a pavillion p6210f which I purchased in 2010.  I ran the compatibility of it through Microsoft for Win 8.  It said fine.  I purchased the upgrade and got the message from HP essentially saying I was doing it at my own risk.  I stopped and sent it back to Microsoft for a refund.  I do not have a touch screen at this time, but I still wonder if I could have put 8 on.   Is this just a general warning or is Microsoft saying compatible when it isn't?  Is it worth having 8 without a new monitor as well?
    Thanks.
    CarolJoy

    Hello CarolFreed,
If the unit passed the upgrade compatibility from Microsoft the it should be compatible.
The message you received from HP is a message that generally displays when you do the upgrade. It is compatible with your computer even though you don't  have touchscreen.
It is not necessary to have touch screen to use the features in Windows 8.
One suggestion i would make before doing an upgrade is making sure you have recovery discs for your computer that will return it to Windows 7. This is in case you need to revert back to Windows 7 for any reason.
Here is a link showing you how to create the discs if you already haven't.
Let me know if you have other questions.

  • Is Satellite U400-10T compatible with Win XP

    Hello ,

It' seems that on the Toshiba site, some drivers are present but it's all the drivers needed?
    A+
    Jean Marc

Of course its compatible why shouldnt it be???
The Satellite U400-10T seems to belong to the PSU40E series.
This series is listed on the Toshiba European driver page and ALL XP drivers are available
So you ask if all drivers are needed???
Well, of course you dont need to install everything from the page, but if you want to use all notebook features then all drivers and tools would be necessary!!!
Never fear ;) you will be able to install the XP on this notebook and it should run trouble free too ;)

  • MS 6163 bx master not compatible with Win XP

    Hi !
Yesterday i changed the HDD, installed the windows xp sp2... and here we go again with the old problems since the windows xp come out.
My pc often greeze, lock Up and i have to reset it. In the event viewer there is an error under the system that said:
AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal IO port address (0xnnnn), which lies in the 0xXXXX - 0xYYYY protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.
The motherboard is acpi complaint, but the problem is that the Bios is not compatible with windows xp. It is very sad thet the manufacturer did not make changes to the biso so the people with retired motherboards can still use it without problems.
There is a way to fix this, but it will still freeze in time to time, but not so often. The problem about acpi will be corrected, if you change to non - acpi complaint system and then install NT/APM legacy support to shut down windows properly.
I noticed that doing that, the system is not working so fast then when was acpi complaint. also some strange little noises come out from the motherboard expecialy when i move the usb mouse. I dont know what to say, but its sad. I still have this pc althought its so old. If only the bios can be comaptible....
If you computer's BIOS tries to write to a port in ACPI Machine Language (AML), you will receive similar errors. Windows NT-based computers, including Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, do NOT allow these operations as they can cause instability.
To resolve this problem, contact your manufacturer about a BIOS upgrade.
I so on the internet on a photo of the motherboard that there is a jumper J1 that can lock write to bios ? anyone know what is it ?
In the manual there is no explanation or mentioned J1 jumper....
Please make the bios stable for me

    Hi !
Without overclock ? yes I also tryed this. It is the same problem. When windows xp come out it brings with it this problem of Bios.
For now I am running windows without acpi support as I said. This will correct the error... but I will se in next weeks how it will work. I have the new HDD now. On the old one i got some bad clusters and mybe this caused freezing althought i disabled acpi. With acpi enabled my pc would freeze every 10 minutes...  To eliminate the freeze related to acpi error, the only solution is to disable acpi support, since there is no BIOS available ti fix this problem.
Sure.. it is possible that also my ram will cause pc to freeze in time to time. I noticed that where there is 4 slots for sdram, there is also a RED lightning led. I check the manual , but there is no explanation of this led. I dont know why it is red and not green. I dont even know what colour should be. This led is located next to the ram slot.
The noises that i mentioned...are comming from the PSU.... It is a new one. The precedent one was the same one and also new and i return it to change it for another of the same manufacturer (same model also). heh also this one turn out that it cause strange noises. mybe is not so silent as they said.

  • ITunes 10 not compatible with Win XP SP3?

My wife's Dell is running Win XP (32 bit) with SP3, has most of the recent Microsoft security updates, MS Office 2007, and the 2011 version of McAfee. It is rather "plain vanilla" in its configuration, so I don't expect any conflicts with the Win version of iTunes.
With iTunes 9.2.1.5, her computer & iTunes work fine. I thought I'd try the suggested upgrade to iTunes 10.4.1. It downloaded and installed OK. However, upon the next reboot of the computer, ended up at the black screen and could only restart in safe mode. Repeated restarts, only could get to safe mode though.
I restored her computer from a disk image, and it ran fine until I tried to upgrade to iTunes 10.4.1 again ... same thing, can only boot to safe mode. I repeated this process a couple more times with different versions of her system's disk images, all run iTunes 9.2.1.5 OK, but crash with an iTunes 10.4.1 install. I also tried this with and without running Norton Win Dr. & Disk Dr. (not running Norton antivirus, rather McAfee) to clean up the registry and system files, but same results.
Is iTunes 10.x.x only for Vista or Win OS 7? Is there some known Microsoft update or setting that conflicts with iTunes 10.x.x? Does iTunes 10.x.x not play nice with McAfee or any of its security features? Is there some level of Windows security settings that could cause this?
I'm OK with iTunes 9.2.1.5 for now, but don't want the next Apple device that requires a newer iTunes version to break her computer. We wish to stay at Win XP SP3 as both our work computers use XP and our same current level of program revisions, so we don't want new issues (plus time & cost) going to Win 7 just for the sake of iTunes 10.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.
PS: I personally use a MacPro at home, but that is not a current option for my wife (just saying this in advance for those who's fix will be to "get a Mac" :-)

Why not update your OS to 10.6?

  • SP3 Not Compatible with BI7

Stay Tuned.  Xcelsius 2008 SP3 will throw an error when attempting to connect to BW 7.  The error states that the minimum version is 7.02, which is not generally available yet.
We have a case open with the product group in regard to this error.

    Hi Erdem,
We are on SAP BI 701 Level 5..but unable to embed the BW Query into the Data manger window.
Dont get any error, but can see any query elements getting pulled upon selecting a Query in the Datamanager screen.

I do believe that 8.0.5 from Oracle has been removed from support by

You may also want to try the Oracle thin driver, which is available in

  • Is Labview 6i compatible with win 2000 server sp4?

Talk about an old release! smercurio is right, LabVIEW never officially supported the Windows server variants. Not sure about 2000 but for Windows Server 2003 this was certainly for a reason as although you could install and run LabVIEW on there (no I don't think version 6i would install there) I know for sure you could run in some obscure behaviour sometimes.
Windows Server being a specific platform used in IT departements who usually would rather jump from a plane without parachute than letting someone else install an application on their systems, it makes not much sense for NI to spend much energy in trying to make LabVIEW work flawlessly on it.
