Is there any error code when user access their mailbox on OWA. Please confirm if there is no results returned in EMS when you run Get-OWAVirtualDirectory cmdlet. Also check whether there is any Event Logs related to OWA in Exchange.
In IIS manager, make sure the OWA virtual directory is listed in the Default Web Site. In EMC, we can navigate to Server Configuration > Client Access, select server and turn to Outlook Web App tab. Then we can click Reset Virtual Directory in the right
Actions pane to reset OWA virtual directory.
Additionally, please restart IIS service by running iisreset /noforce from a Command Prompt window.

AccAD 2.1 on SLES 10 SP3: Installation issue with compat-libstdc++
Hi everybody,
if someone likes to try the installation of AccAD 2.1 on SLES 10 SP3 (i386 or x86_64), be aware of the following:
After installing the OS with the delivered autoinst.xml, not all libraries needed by AccAD are installed.
If you try to install the AccAD Engine, you will get a message that the following package is missing:
compat-libstdc++
If you ignore this message, after the installation of AccAD it will not work. Especially MaxDB needs this package. You can see this in the installation protokoll that some MaxDB installation steps fail.
Since SLES 10 SP3 this package "compat-libstdc++" is moved to the software packge
libstdc+33 / libstdc+33-32bit
For example on the original SLES 10 SP3 installation DVD, these are the packages
libstdc+33-3.3.3-7.8.1 / libstdc+33-32bit-3.3.3-7.8.1
Install these packages before the installation of AccAD an then install AccAD. Now you can ignore the message of the missing rpm-package "compat-libstdc++".
Regards, Rossi
Edited by: Stephan Roßmanith on Feb 18, 2010 9:49 AMHi Stephan,
Thank you very much for your notes.
This issue has already been fixed in AccAD 2.2.

Hey Guys,
Urgent question here: I was trying to install SP3 for Exchange 2010. Unfortunately it failed on the install (all pre-requisites checked and passed). The problem: Windows Installer couldn't find a the exchangeserver.msi file. This happened immediately
after setup stopped the services.
I tried re-downloading the service pack and reinstalling, I got the same error. Anytime I selected the file using browse it failed and re-prompted me.
Error:
"click ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "exchangeserver.msi" in the box below"
So here is what I did:
1) I reset all the services to automatic (the same way as before)
2) Rebooted the server
3) All Service started
4) DAG replication is working
I am going to work on figuring out how to fix the issue, however will this be a problem? will there be any data corruption? am I safe to let the server sit until I can open a ticket (if needed) ?
Thanks,
Robert
RobertHi,
Thank you for your question.
In order to resolve it, we could click the Browse button in the dialog box, locate the ExchangeServer.msi file, and then click OK
to continue the installation. The ExchangeServer.msi file is located on the Exchange Server 2010 installation media。
There are a referred link for us:

Hi,
We have a problem when we are trying to install SQL SP3 on SQL 2005 cluster.
The problem is described bellow:
We installed a new Windows 2008 R2 x64 failover cluster with two nodes.
As a next step we installed SQL 2005 Enterprise edition x64 on this failover cluster. We have finished the installation without problems. After SQL installation we are trying to install SQL SP3 . We have logged on using a domain administrator account and
we start the installation of SP3 with that user. In authentication mode screen the test gives a success status using either domain administrator-windows authentication or sa-sql authentication. On remote user account screen, when we give the domain
administrator account we get the message "the account information could not be verified. Press ok to return to authentication mode screen to determine the reason for failure".
We have tried to give the SQL services startup user on remote user account screen but the error is the same.
the domain administrator account exists on security logins of SQL with sysadmin rights.
Can someone help?
Thanks.Hi StelioMavro,
According to your error message, when you install SQL Server 2005 SP3 in your failover cluster, we need to verify if there was other instance that had been removed and the installation did not pass the login check. I recommend you use windows authentication
instead of SQL Server authentication when applying SP3. And the windows account used to run the SP3 setup program must have administrator privileges on the computer where SP3 will be installed.
For more information about how to install SQL Server 2005 SP3 in failover cluster, you can review the following article.

A few red flags before Windows XP SP3 Installation
Hi,
I am pretty much ready to install Windows XP SP3 onto my Mac Book Pro with Leopard (OS X 10.5.8), or at least I thought I was. A couple issues I've ran into before installation are the following; I've read that the installation of Boot Camp 2.1 (I have 2.0) is required before installing Windows XP Service Pack 3, however the Boot Camp update (BCUpdateXP.exe) is an exe file which I currently cannot open on Mac OS X. I found another topic mentioning to install the BC update after installing Windows, but this is contradicting. Is there a way to install this update file either through a dmg (which I could not find) or some sort of exe reader/expander?
Another issue is the 'Macintosh Drivers CD', or lack thereof. I know the official Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide states to use either the Mac OS X Leopard disc or the Mac OS X Install Disc 1 for the driver installation, but in other tutorials it states you can have the option to create a 'Macintosh Drivers CD' or DVD within the initial Boot Camp stages (I have a hunch this was only for the beta version(s)). I don't have the Mac OS X Install Disc 1 on me, so I was wondering if there is any other way to make the drivers cd in order to install the proper Boot Camp drivers for Windows.
The last resort is somehow obtaining the Mac OS X Install Disc 1 and Windows XP SP2 (funny how it says in the Setup Guide that Service Pack 2 is required for installation, and later on it says the same thing 'or later.')
Any comments or suggestions will be helpful.
Thanks in advance.
BrendanBasically, SP2 is the MINIMUM any Boot Camp version will install. It has to be on the Installer disk as part of XP. You can't add SP2 later. Upgrading from SP2 to SP3 isn't supported by BootCamp 2.0 so you need to update to 2.1 or later.
If you already have Window XP-SP2 already installed on the HD then all you have to do is just update Boot Camp while booted into Windows. Control Panel/Scheduled Tasks/AppleSoftwareUpdates and it should update everything for you. If not then download 2.1 and install it on the Windows side.
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL830
"""Note: This download contains complete copies of Boot Camp Windows XP Drivers (version 2.1). If you have Boot Camp drivers already installed, it will update them. If you do not have any Boot Camp drivers installed, it will install version 2.1 drivers _onto your already installed Windows OS_."""
Boot Camp is actually a Windows program, it installs all the Apple hardware drivers for Windows to use. -

As you have found, the error is caused by that .msp installer files correlating to all the Update Rollups are not present in the c:\windows\installer folder.
Based on my research, there is no Microsoft article about the hotfix of KB2492690 (SP1 Update Rollup 3). Because our Exchange Team pulled the download due to issues with integration with Blackberry.
For more information, you can refer to the following article:

HossFly, Exchange AdministratorAs per the below log entries it seems that it is trying to install SP3 UR6 directly and failing saying its not applicable. If you are trying to install just SP3 then it shouldn't try installing UR6 at the same time so that seems strange to me...

Weblogic 8.1 SP3 installer crash on win2k server
- I have downloaded weblo_server813_win32.exe
- MD5 is 20937c4648f3dfee4f774abedfb3c84b
- I double clik on it
- A progression bar appears and display this "preparing installer"
- The progress bar goes up to 100% closes but then nothing is displayed, the process weblo_server813 is still in task manager, it seems that it has launched a javaw that doesn't do anything
Is there any way to debug what's going wrong with this installer ?
PS : I have turned off anti virus services.
On some other w2k box it works, on some other it doesn't8.1SP3 is certified with Win2K server SP3 and higher. You mentioned it works on some boxes but not others. Is there any difference in the Win2K Service Pack?

Automtically deploying webapps during SP3 installation
Hi,
we are currently on BOXI r3 Sp2 and planning to move to SP3. We have the standard tomcat 5.5 supplied as part of the original BOE installation but we do have some customisations for SSO.
Duirng the installation of SP3 I'm a bit confused as to whether I should be automtaically reploying web apps or choosing the option to manully re-deply. Could someone please explain under what circumstances each should be used?
If I choose to automatically redploy web apps will my chang es to the deployment descriptor (web.xml) be retained. A SAP consultant we had on site said these should be re-packaged into the war file during the automatic re-deployment.
I seem to be gettting conflicting advice on this and am getting confused. And there was me thinking applying a SP would be a simple procedure.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Paul.Hi Tim,
thanks for the advice.
I've checked the files under boinstall\boe12\warfiles\webapps\... and these have not had the changes applied to them.
So I'm planning to do the following steps:
1. Install SP3 and choose to manually deploy web apps.
2. Unpack each war file under boeinstall\boe12\java\applications. My understanding is that this is where sp3 will put the new war files. Are they also copied to boinstall\boe12\warfiles\webapps\... ?
3. Make changes to web.xml.
4. Repackage the war file to include the amended web.xml
5. Undeploy the currently deployed boe apps using wdeploy.
6. Redeploy all apps.
6. Restart tomcat...
Does that look correct?

No WLan after XP SP3 installation on Portege M100
I have a used Protege M100, on which I recently carried out a clean install of Windows XP Pro (SP3).
Unfortunately, as a novice, I didn't back up my drivers.
I have been on the Toshiba site and have downloaded everything for this model (M100 Protege Centrino), I printed off the 'contents and installation order for windows XP' and loaded all the drivers as best i could in the order suggested.
However, some items were not available to download, or I could not understand the references.
I downloaded and installed the Atheros client utility and the Cisco aironet Client utility, as well as Configfree, but could find nothing to match the description 'wireless network driver'.
Perhaps as a result of this, or not? the above client utilities and ConfigFree (connection doctor) as well as some other diagnostic software downloads tell me that i have no Wireless Lan hardware installed... but I know that it was there and I never took it out !
Can someone tell me what else I can do?Hi George
I believe you have simply not installed the right WLan driver.
The Portg M100 was equipped definitely with a internal minPCI WLan card and you should see it in the device manager under network adapter. It should appear either as a unknown device (if no driver was installed) or as a Intel/Atheros/Toshiba/Cisco Wlan card.
Fact is that there are different Portg M100 models with different internal minPCI WLan cards and I think you used non compatible driver.
Please check the single WLan drivers released on the Toshiba driver page and check if one would enable your internal WLan card.
Furthermore you could use the Toshiba WLan portal to get the newest drivers for Atheros/Intel cards.

Exchange 2010 SP3 Installation hangs Language Pack Hell
Ok, Exchange 2010 SP2 running in Hyper V on a 2012 server, and using the Server 2008 R2 as the OS, is hanging on the SP3 language pack for hours. I tried rebooting the server because I am not a vampire and will continue to waste precious
years of my life in this upgrade process as I age.
I am currently running the SP3 install again, and hope to advise, but any word on why this would hang?
Again, guest OS is server 2008 R2 running in Hyper V on Server 2012 (how I roll), and has 8 GB of Ram and using Forefront for exchange. On Sat, 16 Feb 2013 19:35:35 +0000, wosully wrote:

Try "run as administrator" to start the update.
