BOLD 9900 not registered on the wireless network

I purchased my bold 9900 from a classified site and I wipe the device.. I got a blackberry plan from a network provided and I was confirmed to have subscribed to their internet service but I could not get online, I have tried registring on the host routing table but still its empty. I can still see the BES there, I can't log in my mail and I can't access the internet. Please how to I deactivate my device from the BES so that my new BIS can function?

  • I got the message "Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network" from blackberry?

So I got my curve 9360 about 3 months ago and last night I got a message from blackberry saying "Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network". I don't have a data plan but after I got this message I was able to go on the internet without wifi.. I thought it was extremely weird and I was scared my carrier, Rogers, will charge me so I turned my data off. I asked my dad today and he said I could use it and we won't pay if they charge me.. I'm still really worried that I'll get a ridicous bill at the end of the month. So why did I randomly get data and will it charge me? What should I do?

I've heard through the Rogers support forums that Rogers is offering a free data trial to its users.  I haven't seen anything official yet, but I've heard that on atleast two occasions so far.
For that reason, I would go ahead and enjoy your free data while it lasts.  If you're really worried about it, call Rogers to confirm it.  Just remember, you never signed a data plan agreement with them so they can't charge you for it.
    I hope that helps you.

  • HP Officejet 8600 Cannot install software because printer is not detected on the wireless network

    Hello,
recently I faced an issue with my new HP Officejet N911a: when trying to install software & drivers, I get an error "printer is not found on the network". Here is my setup and what I tried already:
    - printer is connected to home wireless network (there is solid blue light on the printer etc). It has an IP address 192.168.x.x
    - Windows 7 (64-bit) Lenovo laptop is connected to the same wireless network
    - I don't have any MAC filtering
    - I broadcast my SSID and have WPA-PSK
    - I have default Windows 7 firewall
I was installing the latest drivers from HP website, but when it comes to installation, software never "sees" my printer on the network. I'm able to ping it and access from Windows explorer (by typing printer's IP address \\192.168.x.x).
I can install the printer via "Add printer", and wireless printing works fine, but in this case I'm unable to scan (error message is "Scanner communication cannot be established"). So I assume, that for scanning, I definitely need HP software.
If I connect the printer via USB to my laptop, software installs and I can scan without any issue. However, I would like printer to work wirelessly...
    Does anybody have any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
I don't have a similar printer to check but for few models the default scan to computer is Disabled, please don't ask me why. And we, users, have to enable this by:
Double click printer icon on desktop,
      Click Manage Scan to Computer,
      Click Enable
You may want to tick the last square too.
New software update may remove this option, please use HP Scan from All Programs > HP > HP [your printer] > HP Scan
    Hope this helps.

  • Hp photosmart not connecting to the wireless network

    Hi,
I see that there are many questions on this theme that I have read.
i am still confused and have tried many of the solutions as I am unable to connect my printer to a wireless network and therefore not connect it with my mac running the latest os.
I am not the most tech savvy but can folllow instructions easily.
I have printed the network configuration page and it shows the network of the printer is offline. how do i get it to connect?
I have tried the push button method.
the printer is connected to a windows 7 computer that isnt wireless could this be the problem.
please help me i have been at this for 3 hours so far.
    thank u

    Hello @Ali1234,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I understand you are trying to connect your HP Photosmart C4780 to your Mac running the Yosemite 10.10 Operating system. I notice you have the PS C4780 connected to a Windows 7 computer, what you would need to do is connect using the USB to Wireless option. Let's put the Mac on hold for a minute and get on the Windows computer, follow the steps below:
The HP software automatically gathers network settings by temporarily connecting a USB cable from the printer to a computer that is connected to the new network. Follow these steps to reconnect the printer to the network.
Click the Windows icon (), click All Programs, click HP, and then click the folder for your HP printer.
Click USB to Wireless, and then follow the on-screen instructions. Do not connect the printer to the computer with the USB cable until prompted. At the end of the process you are prompted to remove the USB cable.
Restart any other computers on the network that use the wireless printer.
    - Source
Once you have the PS C4780 connected to your wireless network, let's go ahead and work with the Mac. Because you are using the Yosemite 10.10 Operating system you must install the printer using the Apple Updates. Please click on the link below, this document explains how to install the print driver on a Mac for a USB or a network connection. The OS X v10.10 Yosemite driver for your printer is available through Apple Software Update (ASU). Additionally, you can perform basic print jobs using AirPrint without installing a driver.

Be sure to check out the FAQs at the bottom of the document as some of the features may be limited or there are workarounds.
    I hope this helps!

  • Why will my PC not connect to the Wireless network?

I recently upgraded to the airport extreme and my PC which has a wireless card will detect the network but when i click "connect" i get an error stating "windows is unable to connect to the selected network. the network may no longer be in range. please refresh the list of available networks, and try to connect again." I have not changed any settings and it worked with my old Linksys wireless and on my Apple laptop it worked as soon as i put the password in. Someone has a secure network that will prompt me for the password so i know it is not my PC or the airport, seems they will not talk to each other.
please if u have had this problem give me step by step help, i have read many topics and have not been able to get it to work at all.
    thanks

Try resetting you network settings on your iPad.  Go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network settings and see if that clears it.

  • HP 3050 will not stay on the wireless network for more than a few minutes at a time.

My HP DeskJet 3050 J610 is constantly dropping the wireless connection. It won't stay on for more than a few minutes. If I power cycle, it comes right back on, but drops again after a few minutes. It will print fine from a USB. When it drops off, pings time out even though the device shows "ready" in Windows 7, Windows XP and OSX. I've done everything HP suggests - static IP, upgraded firmware, diagnostic tools, etc. I am out of options.
I can hit print right now, printer shows as ready, then I will get a print error. If I go over and power cycle the printer, my document will print - most of the time. It will remain on the network for a few minutes, then stop working. As soon as I power cycle it, I get a few more minutes before it drops. It has always done this from day one.

I don't have another wireless network close by that I could test it on. I'm a little isolated. i might be able to work out a time when I could take it by a friend's house, but he's over an hour away.
I have a Win 7 laptop, a Win XP desktop and an old Mac Powerbook as well as an iPod Touch and iPad 3 that use my wireless network without any problems - besides the fact that hardly any of my devices will talk to the other... But that's an OS issue. They all see the network, and the printer after I cycle the power on it.
My wireless router is a Netgear WNR2000. I remember monkeying with the channels when I frist got this printer a few months ago, but I don't remember what all I did. Since I did a firmware update on the router, the channel is now set to Auto. If there's a channel you think I should try, let me know what it is. The printer shows up on the list of devices in the router, but that may be because I have its address reserved for the static IP. Interestingly, the router sees the printer, even though my devices cannot. I did a ping just now while checking that, and got this - which is unusual. Normally they all time out.

Is there a possibility that the printer is going into a standby state and having trouble waking when traffic hits? I don't know if that's possible, just seems like it looking at this.

Did the iOS device connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router

What encryption are you using on the router?
If WEP you have to set the router to use the first key and you have to enter the first key as the password on the iPod. See:

  • I have an ipad first generation.  I am trying to connect to a linksys router and it is not finding the wireless network.  what do i need to do?

I have an ipad first generation.  I am trying to connect to a linksys router and the ipad is not finding the wireless network.  What do I need to do?  Thanks for your help.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

I have over 250G backed up and I really don't want to reset everything and start again.
Not sure what you mean here.
A reset will not affect any of the data on the Time Capsule hard drive.  You would have to perform a completely separate and very deliberate Erase Disk operation for that to occur.
I'm not recommending that you perform a default reset, but it is an option if there is really nothing else to try.
I don't know if what you are seeing is a Mavericks issue or not, since I refuse to use any new software until at least the first major update with fixes comes along.
Another user may be able to offer more input on Mavericks.

I had the same problem.  I did the reset networks on my iPhone & it did not work.  My husband read somewhere that changing the channel on the router to manual & selecting the highest available channel number might help.  I did that & it solved the problem.  I have not had the problem since.

Used to be able to use wireless network anywhere in house, but now can only use in my office. Will not connect to iphones, ipad, itouch, or notebook. Worked fine last week, but over weekend just started having issues.

It is very possible that you may have some form of Wi-Fi interference that has appeared recently that is preventing your Time Capsule (TC) from providing a clean RF signal.
I suggest you perform a simple site survey, using utilities like iStumbler, or AirRadar to determine potential areas of interference, and then, try to either eliminate or significantly reduce them where possible. Look for other Wi-Fis that may be operating nearby. Note those with the strongest signals and which channels they are operating on ... then change the channel used by the TC to be at least 3-5 channels away.
