BOM Consumption problem.

HI !
Pls help me on below issue. We are using SAP AFS System.
Make to Stock scenario, problem with BOM.
BOM Created with Two different type of raw materials, one material consumption showing correctly and another material consumption showing error.
fiished mateial required qty is 500.
1st raw material Stock requirment showing 200 mtrs. ( 2mtrs required for 1 pc of final product)
2nd raw mateial Stock requirment showing 490 pc's. (1 pcs required for 1 pc of final product). as per BOM it should give 500 pcs's.

OK, i will give some more information on issue.
final product required qty is 500 pc's Shirts.
BOM - 1 pc shirt = 2 mtrs Fabric + 1 pc Sticker + 1 Pc label + 1 pc silk lablel + 10 pc's Buttons.
for 500 pc's shirts, required materials are as below as per BOM.
1. 100 mtrs Fabric,.
2. 500 pcs Labels.
3. 500 pcs silk lables.
4. 5000 pcs Buttons.
But System showing only below quantities.
1. 100 mtrs Fabric.
2. 400 pcs Labels.
3. 400 pcs silk lables.
4. 4000 pcs Buttons.
what could be the reason where its going wrong. item one is fabric material, for this system giving correct qty. item 2,3,4 is trim material system giving wrong qty for this materials only.

BOM consumption workcentrewise in REM scenario

Dear Gurus,
Can system be configured like based on stage of the Product-workcentre wise BOM consumption can be made?
As of now we have final back flushing at the final reporting point.
This requirement had been raised as we practice MES & data is requested for the pull of BOM at concurrent workcentre (stage wise) to track in MES.
Data flow will be between SAP & MES software for Management Information System (MIS).

Hello Vignesh,
In REM All the components will be by default will be Backflushed -Consumption
The confirmation Process it itself is called Backflushing (MFBF).
I don't think in stranded SAP REM you can do the operation wise component consumption.
In repetitive manufacturing all BOM component get backflushh in Discrete you can backflsuh the perticular component. In discrete manufacturing, you have option of defining "backflush" for a particular BOM component.
But in REM all component get backflsuh when you do the order confirmation.

N660 TF 2GD5 - PerfCap/GPU load/Power consumption problem

at first, sorry for my english, I will try to do my best.
I have problem with my GPU when I play Battlefield 4. Problem occours with newest Nvidia drivers, also with beta and older drivers.
Problem is that I have huge FPS drops periodically, coming maybe every 5 minutes for 15-20 seconds, for example in BF4 it means FPS drops from 50fps to 15fps, really annoying.
It does not matter at scene complexity, it´s the same in huge battles as when I am alone looking up to the sky.
I was searching why is this happening and GPU-Z helped me to indentify PrefCap, and immediately GPU load + Power consumption going down from 100% to 40-50%
I have a screenshot, but can´t findout how connect attachment (external links are not allowed).
Could somebody explain me what is the problem and why is this happening? I am thinking about to sell my MSI graphics card and buy another one because of this, I don´t want any throtling problems because of compatibility or whatever
Is there any way how to turn it off or disable? Register, something.

I undervoltaged my CPU by -0.1V, lovered Frequency to 3600MHz and problem is gone.
So, time for new PSU

BOM Explosion problem

Hi,
I have multilevel BOM (almost 10 levels with around 1500 materials), in which many materials repeat at different levels.
I am facing problem in one of the material during MRP, This material is used at 10 different levels. Altogether to produce a FG it requires in 36 numbers. In different levels quantity of it required is different. Say 8,1,4,2 etc but total qty is 36.
When MRP is run the requirement generated for this material is same at all levels i.e 36(total qty) / 10 (BOM levels) = 3.6
But actually system must generate requirements as per BOM quantity. Not sure what is wrong.

Below is the little knowledge i have which want to share with all the august people around.Hope it would be helpful enough for you to get the results.
A BOM is not exploded in the following situations:
- No BOM is effective:
-- On the explosion date and in the given area of validity
For the given effectivity parameters
- The BOM has a deletion indicator.
- The BOM is a multiple BOM, and has no alternative that matches the lot size for your required quantity.
- No BOM matches the selection criteria of the BOM application you selected.
- This is possible in the following situations, for example:
-- The application does not take all BOM usages into account.
For example, the application only takes BOMs that are relevant to production into account, so a BOM that is relevant to sales and distribution is not exploded.
-- The application selects a specific alternative on the explosion date you require. The material master record supports alternative determination by Explosion date.
If the specified alternative is not valid on the explosion date, the BOM is not exploded.
-- The application takes production versions in the material master record into account, but no production version has a BOM that is valid on the explosion date you require. The material master record supports alternative determination by Production version.
The system only explodes the BOM defined for the production version that matches the alternative and/or usage entered on the explosion date required.
-- The application only takes BOMs with certain status indicators into account.
For example, the application for MRP only explodes BOMs that have at least the status Explosion for MRP.
Further checks:
- Do the proper Scheduling in Routing (Backward/forward). In md61 give the requirement in next month.check your in-house production, planned delivery time in md02 give MRP Control parameter Rexplode BOM and Routing.
- Check BOM explosion data in MRP4 view of material master view ( Individual/Coll data).

BOM setup problem

Hello Guru,
for material 10076168, BOM alternative 5 is setup from 2008.11.13 in production version, but if you check it in the production orders, system still uses alternative 1. Where and what could be the problem?

Dear Ryan,
if u have created new alternative to the BOM also u need to create new Prod. version in C223. then while creating the order CO01/CR01, u need to select by clicking on Production version push button on top left of the corner.
If order is already created go to order change CO02/COR2, click on Master Data tab. here in the production version column click on icon(red, yellow and green) in front of the version then it we will display all available versions for the material u select whicj one u want. here version will appear if u create it in C223 only.

Bom qty problem

Dear sir
base qty for bom is 1 for finieshed and semi product, when prodcuion order is for 100 qty semiifinished product also come 100 qty but in production order for sfg shown only qty 1 . i checked all baseqty and materials thoughly. what s the problem?

Kindly check for Semifinsh Material is there any stock available in system through T-Code MD04 ,which will fulfill the 99 qty.
Or you can check the confirmation status of that Production order as well.Means is it confirmed by other person Or any manually changes has been carried out for production order qty.

HOWTO Workaround Power Consumption Problem w/ Garm...

Preface
After suffering from low standby battery life for quire a while (less than 24h on E51) I have figured out that the problem comes from a background service installed by Garmin Mobile XT. I have made a few measurements w/ Nokia Energy Profiler and the difference between having Garmin installed or not is 3 fold. That is 0.05W average standby power consumption w/o Garmin installed and 0.16W average standby power consumption w/ Garmin installed, everything else the same.
The Problem
Garmin Mobile XT installs a small service w/ unknown to me purpose which sucks the extra .10W of power even w/o Garmin started. There is an option to Enable/Disable this service in Garmin Mobile XT's configuration menu which is Disabled by default. The problem is that even that the default setting is Disabled, the service still runs once Garmin is installed.
The Workaround
Until Garmin fixes this bug you can disable the background service by following these steps:
0. Install Garmin Mobile XT on your handset if you haven't done so.
1. Start Garmin Mobile XT.
2. Select "Tools" from the three buttons on the right.
3. Select "Settings".
4. Select "System".
5. Scroll down and set "Launch background service" to "Enabled".
6. Exit Garmin Mobile XT.
7. Repeat steps 1 - 5 but this time set "Launch background service" to "Disabled".
8. Reboot your handset.
Done
Result
Now the background service will be *truly* disabled and your standby battery life should return to normal.

Thanks for your suggestions, but i was finally able to figure it out myself. linux-lts was unfortunately no option for me, as i want to use bumblebee. But the direction, this pointed me to was good. It seems one of the kernel updates broke my bumblebee package, so the power management didnt work and the card was constantly powered on. This was nothing new, but my powertop completely messed it up, by adding this additional power consumption to eth0. Funny enough, this power consumption even disappeared, when i unloaded eth0. After deleting powertops saved results and recalibrating it, it now shows up all components power usage correctly.
Thus i mark this thread as SOLVED.

CPU Consumption Problem?

Hello all,
I have a 13-inch mb aluminum with snow leopard 10.6 and had a question with a problem that I've been having recently. After doing some searching, I couldn't find anyone with the same problem.
So basically, what happens is that my computer will be working perfectly fine and the cpu will be idling at 1-3% capacity, which is what it's supposed to do when you're only checking websites/doing word processing ect. Then all of the sudden, my CPU % usage jumps to 50-60% capacity and my laptop starts getting really hot (I have smcfancontrol and it says it's 78C degrees and the fan's speed is 7000rpm). I then proceed to the activity monitor to see what program(s) are sucking the CPU power, but to no avail. All of the processes that are showing aren't taking any more than 4-5% CPU power combined. What gives? This has happened to me twice already in the past 4 days, so I feel that it'll happen again.
The quick fix is restarting my computer... But I was wondering if there's a more serious problem? Has anybody else experienced this? If so, how did you fix it? I appreciate all of your feedback. Thank you in advance!

Thank you for your help all! I do have a brother 2170w and did notice the other day that it wasn't working (the wireless part) and had to print elsewhere. So I guess snow leopard is to blame? It all makes sense now, because yeah, I did try to print something after upgrading to snow leopard to no avail.

I did download and install the new drivers, so hopefully it'll work. I wasn't however, able to find the previous drivers while doing a search in finder (I tried brother, br, and other variations). I just downloaded the new ones and installed it... Think it'll be a problem? Computer's working fine now.

Info record multiple BOM version - problem

We are facing one issue with info record.
In our business scenario, we have two sub-contractor BOM with same FG
Component , But while create purchase order system pickup 1st BOM ,
We have facility to update version in info record i.e. one, we have also maintain source list
We need both BOM in same vendors.
How to maintain two versions in info record & it is explore in sub-contracting purchase order
plz guide us.

Hi,
This is not possible in std.
You can develop an enhancement to display a pop-up of diff. BOM versions while you click on Explode BOM in PO and select the required version.
We had similar reqt and this is how we did.

Alternative BOM creation problem in CS01

Hi.
I have created a BOM with CS01 with list of components. Now i want to create an alternative BOM for the same FG.
When I am trying to create alternative BOM using CS01, I added the components, system is showing me in the header as Alternative BOM 2. But when i try to save this BOM system is giving me the error as "Alternative BOM cannot be created for this material".
Can you please help me how to create alternative BOM for this FG.

Dear Padma,
If my understanding is correct,if the check box for multiple BOM inactive is set in OS27 means,you will not be allowed to even
enter into the BOM item maintenance screen.
It seems the system is allowing you to enter the second alternative BOM,but at the time of save the system is blocking from
doing so.check what's the message and check whether by means of exit this check has been incorporated in the system.
Check and revert back.

Developing in Firefox / memory consumption problems

We have 2 Apex developers in our company, I develop using Firefox but my colleague uses IE7.
The memory used by Firefox on my PC (running on Windows) is much greater than my colleague's when in Apex (approx 50Mb on IE7, approx 250Mb on my PC running Firefox).
I also use Firefox for my browsing whist using Apex and I noticed that the memory usage increases every time I look at a new website. However it never seems to release the memory used and carries on using memory until the PC grinds to a halt.
Does anyone else have performance problems in Firefox - I have begrudgingly switched back to IE and it seems much faster?

I've had a lot of problems with cache memory in FireFox since it went to version 3 middle of last year. A lot of that seemed to be because of the number of posts I was making on this forum - FF3 didn't seem to clear out the cache for each of the messages, and using nothing but this forum and my OTN workspace, I managed to get up to 650mb fairly frequently. On top of that, I think that FireBug may have issues with not clearing stuff out - I did disable this for a while and only used it whenever I really needed it, but, of course, that became a bit of a pain!. I recall that there are some about:config settings that helped, but no longer have a note of what these were (but they were found via google).
Right now, I'm tending to use IE7 more than FF3 for things but do use FF3 whenever I can as the addins are way too useful to do without.

MB1A Consumption problem

Dear Sathya,
If you want to re consume of the raw materials for the same process order, Then you need to cancel the confirmation and then issue again. At the time of cancelling the Confirmations the material documents also will be cancelled. If you want to issue more than what you have issued then use MB1A after giving the Movement type and plant press enter there give the Process order no and post the materials whatever you want to post.
At the time cancellation of confirmation or material document the stock will come to same position where you have made the consumption.

I have 5 VSF for the material with strategy 40, e.g.
2007/03/01 l00 pcs   not consumed
2007/04/01 l00 pcs   not consumed
2007/05/01 l00 pcs   --> consumed form here
2007/06/01 l00 pcs
2007/07/01 l00 pcs
and the consumption mode was set as Backward/Foreward 100/20, but sometimes the system consume the VSF in recent days firstinstead the VSF
in the past. Is there anything wrong?

BOM exploding problem

Hi All,
When I am trying to process a sales order with one material witch is a BOM material It could not explode the BOM. I am getting the error as Structure explosion for item 000020 is not possible.
I checked the item category group for the material i.e ERLA and other materials also.while creating the BOM selected usage 5,itc L.Please let me know if I am missing some thing.

Now please check the header material item category settings (TAQ), there structure scope field should be A or B.
Please check the item category for the line items in the sales order.
For header items:
OR + ERLA = TAQ
For sub items:
OR + NORM + TAQ = TAE
if it is there it must work, IF it is not so, please make an assignment in VOV4 like above.
Also check u have created BOM with application 5 (SD).
I am sure u will get it. Any further queries, please post.
