BOM in CRM

Hi  guys,
I'd like to create in CRM something like BOM in R3 - main material and it's components. Could you please tell me what CRM functionality to use. I don't see any BOM transactions. May be it's possible to use relationships in these cases?
There is no R3 in our system, only CRM 5.0.
Thank you in advance.
Sunny.

Hi Sunny,
in CRM there is no concept of BOM as in R/3 since BOMs are plant specific
and there is no concept of plants in CRM.
however you can implement a maximum of one level of explosion by using the relationships. The Main product must have relationship with the parts which it contains.I don't know the exact relation.. may be it is 'Components' , this you can find out yourself.
the main product must have item category group ERLA or LUMF.
depending on further item category customization you can carry on pricing and availability check either at the components level or at the Main Product level.
Please award points if it is useful .

Ashok

  • BOM IN CRM Only for Service  Contract

    Hello
We want have a BOM explosion working in CRM for service contracts
    Here are the details :
We have replicated the materials from ECC to CRM. We are not maintaining any BOMu2019s in ECC.
The idea is that we maintain the BOM Structure in CRM only, as we donu2019t want to have the Items as a billable item in a position, only for information purposes (or later on for metering)
We have maintained the product category for the header product in CRM so we are able to maintain depended components
(Relationship type SCDEC  S Dependent Components (DC) )
Not we are able to assign dependent component to the header material
    Item category groups:
We understand that the standard item category groups that should be used are ERLA for the header product and LUMF for the Item product.
In order to support the same functionality for the given item category group , maintained at the product level in ECC we copied the same setting for the item category group from the standard to
    our settings.
    Standart
Tx type     Item Cat Group          item category     structure scope
TA             ERLA                TAQ           A single level Explosion of Structured Product
TA         LUMF                TAP                   A single level Explosion of Structured Product
So we have copied TAQ to ZTAQ and TAP to ZTAP.
ZS01 is a copy of SC (service contract)
Tx type     Item Cat Group          item category     structure scope
ZS01     ZLEI                       ZTAQ          A single level Explosion of Structured Product
ZS01     LEIS                       ZTAP          A single level Explosion of Structured Product
But when we use a header product in the service contract, we cannot see the BOM is exploding.
We have also created some products in CRM with exactly the same Item Category groups as the standard and when we create a standard order (TA) in CRM, the BOM is NOT exploding.
    Questions:
Is it possible to have the BOM setup only in CRM, like we try to do it?
Is it possible to use our own item category groups in CRM more is the functionality only working with ERLA and LUMF?
Is it possible to use the BOM Explosion in Service contracts as well ?
What steps are we missing to get the BOM explosion in CRM ?
    Thank you for your help

Thanks Nablan, I could do that for multiple header coming in file. But I have a question for you on BAdI ALM_ME_006_GOODSMVT. I have implemented this BAdI , and this BAdI is called by a function Module ALM_MEREP_006_CREATE. When I test this FM giving the Material , Orderid and Movement type entries, this BAdI is triggered when giving a breakpoint. I've given this code for changing the movement type to 961. Cause the stanadrd scenario does not maintain Movement type 961 in Mobile Asset Management. The Movement type 961 for unplanned Materials comes to SAP and changes to 261 as maiantained by TCOKO table. To bypass this & retain the movement type 961 in SAP I'm using this BAdI. Currently this is what I'm doing and am stuck in the method interface how do I call the method.
    method IF_EX_ALM_ME_006_GOODSMVT~CREATE .
    break-point.
    *DATA : i_ce_goodsmovement TYPE REFERENCE
              ALM_ME_CUSTOMER_ENHANCEMENT.
    DATA : lr_badi_goods_movement TYPE REF TO if_ex_alm_me_006_goodsmvt.
    DATA : ls_user_data TYPE ALM_ME_USER_DATA-USERID.
    *DATA : goods_movement TYPE ALM_ME_MATERIAL_MOVEMENT.
    CALL METHOD lr_badi_goods_movement->create
      EXPORTING
           ce_goodsmovement = ce_goodsmovement
      IMPORTING
           user_data        = ls_user_data
           custom_user_data = ls_ce_user_data
           goods_movement   = goods_movement
      changing
           return           = return[].
    CALL FUNCTION 'ALM_ME_COMMIT_OR_ROLLBACK'
           TABLES
                return = return.
    endmethod.
Please help me to get the data in this method. How do I call this.

  • Sales BOM in CRM

    Hello experts,
We would like to have sales BOM (single level) in CRM internet sales. What are the limitations in CRM if we use a sales BOM.
When we create a order with reference to an existing sales order in ERP, how does the system behave?
Also when we refer the existing order can we make one of the component quantity as 0 and save to create another order in ERP?
    Thanks,
    Suhail Shaik

    Hi
Question -  We would like to have sales BOM (single level) in CRM internet sales. What are the limitations in CRM if we use a sales BOM.?
1.Single plant BOM download are supported.
2.Ideally you should put a filter to restrict the download to a single plant.
3.We don't recognize the plant data in CRM therefore having BOM data from more than one plant in CRM does not make sense.
4.If no filter is set, the plant for the first BOM that gets downloaded is set as the default plant. For example, lets assume that the BOM for plant 1000 was downloaded first, this has become your default plant.
5.All the consecutive boms will not be downloaded if their respective plants does not match the default plant.
Question -  When we create a order with reference to an existing sales order in ERP, how does the system behave?
    >> In case of BoM, system allows you to create order as a standars and all the material, pricing data is get copied.
    Hope this will help.

  • BOM Explosion in Shopping Basket for CRM B2C 6.0

    Hi Gurus,
Can we have a BOM explosion in shopping basket . As per few links I explored BOM Concept is possible only in ECC and we can implement it is CRM based by some additional configurations .  (BOM in CRM) .
We have configured component for products and XCM setting for BOM is also in place . But BOM explosion is happening only at Order confirmation level .
Can anybody give some insights to get BOM explosion in Shopping Basket of CRM B2C 6.0 .
    Thanks and Regards,
    Tony Isaac

    Hi Rahul,
    Thanks for the reply.
I could find the UI component setting : ui.fields.order.bomExplosion = Visible and I have already done this . Due to this I am able to see BOM explosion on Checkout Page / Order Confirmation Page .
But  still I am not able to find ui.fields.order.subitemDetailview = Visible.
Is that available only in R/3 version ?
My problem is BOM explosion is not visible in Shopping basket .
    Regards,
    Tony Isaac.

  • External product configurator within a CRM-ERP LORD2 scenario?

Is it possible to use an external product configurator within a CRM-ERP LORD2 scenario?
My customer has a running webshop with an own configuration UI (java based) which is connected through badis with the ECC.
And now we implemented in SAP CRM the ERP Quotation.
Instead of rebuilding the varionatfunctions ord attributes seting the customer thinks about to intgrate the existing "konfigurator" of his web shop.
Is there anyone who knows the interface
Basic Functions -> Product Configuration -> Settings for External Configurators.
    more detailed.
Where can I find an Interface declaration?
Is the planned approached in general a valid way (from your point of view).
    thanks,
    Dirk

    Hi Stuart,
You have to notice that in order to user R/3 BOM in CRM,
you have to download object BOM (tcode R3AC1).
But downloading object BOM into CRM only possible if
your R/3 is Retail scenario (unfortunetly mine is not).
Next thing I am going to test is, create Knowledge Base
in R/3 (choosing the type = BOM). after that in CRM
download using standard configurable object SCE.
If this successfull, we can see the configurable in
    the Material Master CRM.
I am going to try this in couple days, please try it
first and let me know the result.
Hope this give you some information.
    Cheers,
    Gun.

  • Sales BOM Extractor

Is anyone aware of a SAP standard extractor that will pull Sales BOM data?

    Hi john,
    Check
    Extractors 0CO_PC_PCP_01 and 0CO_PC_PCP_03
    deliver BOM information for sales-orders.
    also check this thread

  • Downloading Sales BOM

    Hello SAP GURU,
Currently I'm trying to download the Sales BOMs from R/3 to CRM however I'm facing a lot of difficulties.  I'm able to download the materials, however I'm not able to download the BOM (product relationship) itself.
The first thing I download the material and its components.  Then I used R3AC1 to filter the business object for the BOM.  I used Mara - MATNR -XXX and MAST - STLAN - 5.  Then I used tcode R3AS and I used BOM object to download for the initial load and I got a green light with blocked 1(I download only one BOM just to test).  However when I went to CRMD_ORDER to test to the sales bom in CRM, it doesn't blow and I'm not getting the components TAE just TAQ.  It blowed in R/3 with componets.  When I go to COMMPR01 to look for the material, there is no components attached to the material's relationship.
Can anyone please tell me how I can download the Sales BOM relationship from R/3 to CRM?
Thanks alot, points will be rewarded.

    Hi Linda,
You are absolutely right. From CRM 5.0 onwards you can download the ECC sales BOMs into CRM as standard. I have downloaded successfully with the following procedure.
First download the plants as BPs into CRM. Then download all materials that constitute BOM. Finally download the BOM. Put a filter on BOM only for one material along with BOM usage (MARA > MATNR and MAST > STLAN). If successful then download all BOMs. We need to set filers up for DNL_PLANT object, for plant (WERKS). If we dont do that then SAP just finds the plant for the first BOM it finds, and then makes that as a default plant. This means that if there other materials in different plants, that wont be downloaded...
Please let me know, if still the problem occurs and I am more than happy to assidt you.

  • BOM Explosion in CRM5.0

    Hi,
I would like to know, can we explode BOM in CRM 5.0. Otherwise how can I tackle my situation of getting the latest product details by providing the latest KB version, KB Name & also if required Build no.
My current requirement is while going a head with follow up document of a service contract I have to check the KB version of the configurable product in the existing order with the latest KB version in product master  & if the version is different I have to check whether the version change is due to description change or a major price change. So for achieving this I think I have to explode BOM in CRM at this point by providing the latest KB version & Name. Now please let me know how can I achieve this.
Your all inputs will be valuable suggestion to me.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Dileepkumar

    Hi,
It seems like several things were mixed in the post. I cannot give you a full solution here, but some hints:
    - the information which KB (name/version at least) was originally used, is <b>stored</b> with the item in the one order document. You do <b>not</b> need to execute configuration to retrieve this information.
    - in case there is a new version, it will not be an easy task to figure out <i>what </i>has changed
    a) in case the old build has been overwritten (bad practice in productive environment), the old KB status is lost
    b) for comparing the content two KBs, there is no out-of-the-box solution
You can apply the configuration result to the new KB and look for loading messages in the configurator. Again, tricky issue
    - prices (condition records) are <b>not </b> part of the KB anyway.

  • Error CONFIGURATION_PROCESSING (message A V1 854)

    Hi,
I'm currently testing the variant configuration process in CRM 2007.
    1. I created configurable products with BOM in CRM.
    2. Entered these configurable products in a CRM sales order.
The sales order is not replicated into ERP, due to the configuration processing error.
The product is (without configuration/class) replicated into ERP. In the online help portal I found that it is not possible to replicate the configuration from CRM into ERP.
I only need the sales order, ordered product with bom in the ERP system, I do not need the configuration logic.
How can I make sure that my order is replicated?
    Thanks and regards,
    Nanda

  • Creating a Sales BOM in SAP CRM 7.0

    Hi All,
How to create a Sales BOM in SAP CRM 7.0 system?  What is the transaction code for it ? I want to define a high level Package material in the BOM and 3-4 low level items in this BOM. What are the steps to achieve this ? We do not have ECC system connected to CRM and we are using CRM 7.0 as stand-alone system.
    Thanks in advance.
    --R D

    Hi R D,
Please could you let me know how you achieved this. I am trying to do the same thing. But when I assign products in the component relationship, it does not explode when I use it in a contract. Please let me know if the solution you used.

  • BOM Explosion in CRM & ECC

Does anyone know of a way to control Sales BOM explosion at the item category level in the middleware?  We have boms created in our ECC system for both standard and configurable materials.  For our standard materials I need the sales BOMs to explode on the CRM order (for ISA shopping basket purposes) and to prevent a duplicate explosion in the ECC backend I have parameter NOSTRUCTURE set to X in SMOFPARSFA.
CRM does not support using configurable products as the header or component of sales boms so for these materials I do want the bom explosion to happen in ECC as the order flows from CRM to ECC.
I've tried adding order types and item categories to the parameter names for NOSTRUCTURE but it didn't work.  OSS confirmed my findings that it would not work.

    Hi,
I did work on single level BOM explosion in a couple of projects. As per SAP note 549341 - FAQ: BOMs in the sales order, it is very much possible to explode multi-level BOMs.
Check this note and item category BOM explosion options.

  • CRM contract - BOM refer to Sales Order

I have a contract created in crm for a material MATSub1 for a Customer CUST1
As per my configurrations, whenever i try to create a sales order for MATsub1 for CUST1, then its contract (Created earlier) is popped up and is linked with sales order.
Now, Lets assume that there's Sales Bom created in system with Main Material as MATHEAD1 and its subitems as MATSUB1  MATSUB2.
Thus, whenever a sales order for MATHEAD1 is created the bom is exploded as per expectation.
Now the scenario requirement is that if a contract exists for any subitem material e.g. MATSUB1, and a sales order is created for main material i.e. MATHEAD1 the bom should explode and bold contract for any subitem should be popped up (if exists earlier).bold
hope my query is clear. any info in this regard will be highly appreciated.
    thanks.
    Robert.

You wil not be able to access one Form's values from another form but within the same form it would be possible.
Most fields or columns on the form are accessable using the
    $[$Item.Column.Type] syntax
For your requirement, since the field is at the form level and not in the grid rows, the column part of the syntax would be 0.
The Form (139) does not get used in a formatted search.
    SELECT $[$-29.0.Number]
the above will give you the DocTotal that you see at the very end of the form
    SELECT $[$-22.0.Number]
wil give you the Total Before discount value
The - (minus sign) has been used because you are trying to assign this to a User Field which is not actuallypart of the main form but the one on the side.  If you are assigning the formatted search to a field on the main form you will not need the minus sign

  • Please help....BOM structure in CRM without plant

We have the BOM structures downloaded into the CRM system from the R/3 system, but have an issue with the plant data.
When we enter the product into the sales order, it explodes, but brings in all components, not just the ones related to a specific plant.   the issue is that because plant doesn't exist in the CRM system, it cannot determine only the componet parts for that plant in crm.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and can help?
    Thanks,
