BOM link in Notification

Is it possible to bring BOM explosion icon in Notification. BOM explosion icon is currently available in defect recording after assembly tab. How can we bring same BOM icon while creating notification through QM01 or QM02.
Please let me know, if anyone know, how to add BOM icon in Notification screen

Check if your workflow attribute to which you are assigning value is of type URL or not. If not the it would only get displayed as text and not as a Hyperlink.

Link between notification number and meter reading order in ISU

what is the link between notification number and meter reading order in ISU. i have written a program to close all open notifications but now i want the program to close only notifications with closed meter reading orders but i cant find the link between meter reading order and notification

Dear Faisal,
Reference notification number is used to create new notification as copy model.
When you specify a notification number in reference filed while creating new notification, the system copies all the header data (including long text and partner information), items, tasks, and activities (including long texts) into the new notification.
Typically this feature is useful when you have observed the same defects for same material with same causes and actions to be taken. The purpose is only to save your data entry time.

Linking PM Notification to different SAP Objects from different SAP Components

Hi All,
I have a requirement to link notification to three follow on actions namely:
1.     Work order creation (IW31?)
2.     PPM to create project
3.     Change request to review document (CC31?)
These activities are actions required from Root Cause Analysis. RCA is being done by an external system. An interface is to be used to create a notification in SAP PM. The notification is to be configured with an Action Box containing these three activities as follow on actions.
Is this possible to achieve? And if so, what FM can be used for each of the three SAP Objects?
Will there be a link between the three created objects and the Notification?
Will it be possible to update the Notification with the statuses of any one of these three objects automatically?
Your response would be very much appreciated.

Not sure this helps, but we managed to link a notification to multiple objects using a development in Services for Object.
You were then able to see these links as follows:

I used function module BINARY_RELATION_CREATE_COMMIT with the following:
OBJ_ROLEA-OBJKEY = full notification number
OBJ_ROLEA-OBJTYPE = BUS2038 (for notification)
OBJ_ROLEB-OBJKEY = full plan number
OBJ_ROLEB-OBJTYPE = BUS1020 (for maintenance plan)

IS it possible to provide URL link in Notification Mail and logon to SAP

Hi firends,
when the user gets a notification mail to his outlook,
he opens that notification mail in outlook.
Is it possible to provide a URL Link ? in that notification mail.
When the user clicks on that URL LINK, then is it possible to open the SAP Initial Screen,
where user can provide his User name and Password. and logs on to the SAP.
If these things are possible.
Please guide me step by step.

Wrong link in notification mail

Hi,
The link provided in our approval notification mails are wrong. For example:
https://xxx.yyy:8007/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart/BBP_CTR_DISP/!?client=013&sap-client=013&language=EN&sap-language=EN&~DisconnectOnClose=1&CONTRACT_GUID=45702019323A0102000000000A0C0181&OBJECT_ID=4000000302
As you can see the "bbpstart" is in excess and should be removed. Actually when we manually remove this part from the URL and retry to connect we are able to see the actual page.
What might be the reason for this problem?

I have no idea why this error is there, but you can rectify it in the report RSWUWFMLEC SRM 4.0 or RBBP_NOTIFICATION_OFFAPP SRM 5.0.
change the variant of this report or create a new variant and then schedule it.
Try to give the desired URL in DEF_URL1.

Trying to open a link in notification, but getting error

Hi,
We have developed a custom page using JDeveloper. The same is registered as JSP Function in apps and is also imported in database. This page works fine.
We have developed a custom workflow. A notification is being sent to employees providing a link of above OA Page. ( Eg: Please click here )
When we click on 'Please Click here' , we get an error as given below
You are trying to access a page that is no longer active.
- The referring page may have come from a previous session. Please select Home to proceed.
Please suggest how to resolve this? thanx

Reason this is happening is that the page is not a bookmarkable page, that is the page is not self secured.
As the notification can be sent to a mail id, and then you try to launch the page, the page has not gone through the AOL security, and hence would not open.
what you need to do is make you page self secured, to do this .
you need to
1.Set the Security Mode property of your page to Self secured.
2.Implement the validateParameters() method in your page controller to validate the URL.
3.Then follow the instructions in the Page Security chapter of devguide.
Somehow I cannot find out the first two steps mentioned in the devguide, but this is what it is.

if i give vendor code as input i should get all BOMs of that vendor as Output...
wt is the table name to link between vendor and BOMs...

How can we give URL link in Notification Mail (In Outlook)

Hi Firends,
when the User opens his outlook inbox and finds the Notification Mail.
At end of the matter, Is it possible to give the URL link.
when the user clicks on that URL link then the SAP LOGON initial screen must be opened.
where he can provide his UserName and Password.
Please guide me, step by step if it is possible.

Removing "Notification Detail Link" in notification mails

Hello.
Is it possible removing the attachment "Notification Detail Link.html" attached in the outgoing notification EMails?
In the case, I have to do the set directly in the Workflow design, or is it a configuration in the Mailer Agent?
Any help is appreciated.

Hi,
In workflow version 2.6.3, this is available by simple changing the notification preference to be "HTML mail"
"MAILHTM2". If you want it as an attachments, the preference is "HTML mail with attachments"

Unable to Link a Notification to an Order

Hi Experts,
I am trying to create an order linked to a notification and can able to do it too.
But when i go to IW32 (Order Details ) i cannot see the Notification assigned to Order at header level..
When i go to IW33(Order Details) i cannot see the notification, instead notification field is found to be blank.
Although i can see the notification linked in Object tab, but for reporting purpose i want the notification on header level.
I am using BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN for order creation. Passing all the values from SAP-MII. (integration with ECC)
Appreciate any help on this.

Hi
It seems that you are creating both notification and order as part of your enhancement. Because, if you make the settings for automatic creation of the notification, which will use the standard functionality, when you save the work order, notification will be created automatically and attached to the work order header.
The setting is called "Define Notification and Order Integration"
You must link the order with the notification type and select "Maintain Indicator for Notification Data on Order Header" box.

BOM explosion in notification

The material BOM is not exploding at notification. How to see the BOM for the material got complaint. Its showing the Functional Location and Equipment but not showing the BOM. I have created the material BOM for PM usage .

To further clarify your query - The damage code is coming on the item level like we can chose the components from the BOM as assembly ,so is it mean we can only specify damage with respect to item only Damage code, object part & cause codes mentioned in the notification are with respect to the reference objects i.e. it may be Functional location/equipment or assembly as you may require some times. So its not wit respect to item (material) only & when you tell assembly it always with respect to some equipment or functional location. As you asked last times that for a particular equipment only material no of a part varies so i suggested to enter material code in the assembly along with equipment.
Further - you shall prepare object part, damge code & cause code for same type of equipment such as say for all conveyors you have one set of object parts ( belt, idlers, head end & tail end pulleys, pull chords etc), say for For Induced draft fans- the object parts are - impeller, guide vane, casing, end cover etc. when you prepare object part/damage codes accoding to certain criteria once, you can use it in transactions for all fans/ conveyors defined as equipments or functional locations.

I am looking beyond work order. I know this is standard from PM Notification screen. However, any possible linkage with other objects like Change Request, Project etc.

Is there a way to link the notification center with an Outlook calendar?

I just want to make it so that my Outlook calendar events pop up on my notification center. Is there a way to do that?

You can poke around yourself, but right off I do not see how this is possible in customizing the plist.
Finder>Go>Go to folder>
/System/Library/CoreServices/Notification Center.app
You can right click to open> Show Package Content.
