BOM search where-use (Tcode CS15 ) in different plants

Hi
Can i use Tcode CS15 to search the bom usage in different plant ?

What if we restrict our users to view All plants but one. Therefore in authorization object C_STUE_WRK we have a list of all plants except the one they should not see. When CS15 is run and the selection option for plant is filled in as "*", the user will get an authorization error. Is there a way around this other than changing SAP code? Thanks.

By using bapi : Bapi_material_Savedata u can achieve it..
u have to pass only these values to extend material from one plant to another plant.
Example Requirement : Material 100-101 is available only in plant 1000, So lets Copy material 100-101 to a plant 1200.
Note : Pass values in block letters only
In headdata structure :
1.headdata-material           " matnr : '100-101'
2.headdata-ind_sector       " mbrsh : 'M'

CS15 - where used in specific BOMs?

cs15 can become ridiculously large.
instead of returning parts that have been reused for years in so many BOMs...what is a good way to restrict a where used list to only return BOMs in a specific material?
part XYZ is used in 300 BOMs, but only want to see the main BOM 12345 and any BOMs under it where this part is used.

Do you mean to say the report should show only the main assembly(say For Eg the FERT material )
alone?
In CS15 after executing the report,click on change layout for adding the field for Level,then you click on
filter and select at which level you need the report.
Otheriwse you have to go for a Z report and you can use this Functional
module,CSEP_MAT_BOM_SELECT_WHERE_USED or CS_WHERE_USED_MAT and you in the
output you can identify the specific one's using material type or passing these values to MARA table.
Check and revert back.

BOM Where used list

Hi All,
Is there any report of BOM which will suffice the requirement like if am putting any level of component like where used list the system will display the highest level of material.
e.g
'A' having component X , Y AND Z
'X' having compnent P Q and R
P having component L, M and N.
if am putting component to search what is the highest level of assembly material, for my requirement i required it should give display of materail 'A'.
I had gone through where used list report CS15 but which is giving only header of the selected component and my requirement it give top material of the assembly.
Plz suggest its urgent.

Hi,
Probably it is not possible to have this in Standard SAP.
You need to consider Custom report for this.
In your case you wanted the diplay of Header Material.
Say, your BOM is having 10 level structure and you wanted to have the 8/9th Level Material as input in your report and you wanted the Header Material (Lowest Level) as output.
You need to conider the Low Level Code of the Input Material.
One more thing is this same component may be part of some other Materials as well.
Hope this helps in decision making and some sort of Logic to build the regport..

Using BOM scrap in T-Code CS15

When exploding a BOM via CS11 or CS12, it is possible to use the Scrap indicator stating that when the component quantity is calculated, scrap is taken into account.
How is it possible to have similar functionality when using Where-used list u2013 CS15, taking scrap also into account, since no Scrap indicator apparently exists there?

For the materials in the where used list, input into SE11 into MARC table,
it should be able to provide the scrap quantity

Else you can make a custom report for the client in SQVI, by summing

Hi,
The significance of Where used list is that, one can know about an item, where all it being used.
For eg.. If an item 'A' is used in assemblies X,Y,Z(BOM). If you use CS15 and enter item A and Qty., the result shows that, item A is required in X,Y,Z BOMs.
One need not remember about, where the item being used. Just you can use this transaction and know

BOM where-used list with Phantom item ( Special procurement ) - ALV grid

Hi Gurus,
I have a request with tcode CS15 when we use alv-grid.
We have a component with phantom item indicator because we use the special procurement type 50.
When we run the transaction we don't use the variable list but we use the alv-grid.
I change the layout but we haven't the field "Special procurement" or "Phantom item" in the column set

you could build a query (t-code SQ01) and make visible any relevant fields.
before run SQ02 and create an info-set based on a standard logical databse CMC.
you even do not need an abaper. just try yourself. play in DEV system

Where used for RFC calls to different system

Hi,
I want to change the interface of a function module which exists in our XI system.
The function is called from R/3 in different places and hence will need to be changed in each location.
Is there an easy way of determining all the different calling points?
The only way I can see would be to run a text search utility against the code.

You cannot user SE37 and whereused list for this. due RFC available in XI and you need to check for R/3 for whereused points
Try to run the program RS_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN and in the search string put your function module name and execute
( if it is a custom function module search. in the search pattern use all custom package names)

How to fetch the Reqd. Quan & Result Quan for a Z-report w.r.t. tcode CS15

I have a requirement to develop a Z-report depending on the o/p of the tcode CS15.
The result should be same as that of the CS15 with the a few additions:
(1)Providing option to accept multiple Materilal Numbers
(2)Filtering out the selection criteria on the fileds MRP Controller, Profit Center and etc.,
my queries are:
(1)In the Standard report, I was getting the fields Required Quantity and Result Quantity in the output. Whereas for me
    I was using a fm 'CS_WHERE_USED_MAT' to fetch the BOM items but whereas in the return parameter (STPOV) does not
   contain these fields(Result Quan and Reqd. Quan).
(2)I have to show the Material Type in the output. But when I fetch the records from the above FM, I was getting the Component
    details but not the Materials. - the user wants the Material Type to be shown for each record.
Kindly provide me inputs on the above queries.

In case of quantities you will not get it directly . filrtering the material type is really easy comparing the result with MARA-MTART.

Where-Used List for Assemblies

Can you tell me hw to see the Where-Used List for assemblies.I m using CS15 T-Code for the same,but the problem is that i can see only for one assembly not for multiple assemblies.what is t-code for multiple.

If I understand the question correctly, you want to search for multi-level assembiles (materials) with a BOM which is linked to and equipment or functional location e.g.
Floc
-> BOM
--> Assembly 1
---> Assembly A
---> Assembly B
> Assembly B1
If so, then I don't theing there is a standard report to search for equip/floc by sub-assemblies

WHY CAN I NOT EDIT THE DEFAULT SEARCH ENGINE USED BY THE ADDRESS BAR (NOT THE SEARCH BAR NEXT TO IT) FROM BING TO GOOGLE?

I am asking this question again, because upon checking the forum for a solution I was shocked and appalled by the severe lack of grammar, punctuation and spelling I encountered while reading answers to this question. Obviously several people where to busy to actually read the question being asked and simply answered with instructions on how to change the default search engine for the search bar. SO, here I am asking the same question, why? because it still has not been answered and I myself still CANNOT find this setting anywhere. I use multiple browsers for different tasks, Chrome is KICKING the .... out of you guys Mozilla, why did you ever let your self get taken in by Micro-crack (Microsoft), if I recall correctly the inception of this program was partly motivated by the need for an alternative to the idiosyncrasies and vulnerability of Microsoft Internet Explore. This really feels like a HUGE step backwards, I would love to see a return to the days when Mozilla Firefox was and inspiration to developers and techs everywhere. And please will someone just answer the right question this time. Trust me when I say it will be obvious who does and does not read this in it's entirety.

I am trying to restore an Appset (which I took backup)using TCODE:UJBR. But evry time it throws me an error: Error Occured while creating Application RATE via admin API.
