BOM updation in REM

This is related to REM scenario.I have run MRP based on certain demand.Now some of my BOM components get changed.How can i update these new BOM to my existing planned order.
Whether i need to delete the planned order for updating the new BOM. Please clarify.

Dear Dev,
In standard SAP it is not possible.
In case if you are using ECM - Change numbers for BOM creation/change then we can trigger a message.But in order to trigger
a report has to be developed,but in my understanding it is good to take only costing run for a period and the made BOM
changes will get reflected in the next costing run for the next period.
Incase if in the same period a new cost estimate has to be carried out means first CKR1 has to be executed.
Check and revert back.

BOM change updation in REM

Hi!
I've a query on one case in Repetitive Manufacturing.
After MRP run, processing is already started & have made GRs for partial qty. in 1st week of the month.
Now if engg. changes the BOM, whether confirmation will be done as per amended BOM without amending the planned order.
In short whether system considers latest BOM for confirmation if you have used production version.
Pls reply urgently.

Hello Rupalee,
MRP always explode the most recent BOM during MRP but you need to run the MRP with plannig mode 3 (delete and recreate the planned orders)...if you are runnig the MRP second time for the same part (with old requirements)...with this planning mode 3 you will get the new planned orders with changed BOM.
Incase of production order...suppose your BOM has chnaged after release then you have the option to reread the PP master data and then release again. If you dont want to do this then just define in the custmizing in the "explosion control of Bill of materials: to explode the BOM at "order finish date"... Your BOM will exploded again at the finish date of the order automatically and you can confirm the order with chnaged parts.

BOM Update using a function module - 'CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN'

Hi,
I have problem in updating the item status for a BOM using a function module - 'CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN'.
My goal is reset the Checkbox for 'Indicator: item relevant to production'. When i pass the value ' '[Space] to the structure field 'T_STPO-REL_PROD' it doen't work.
Do let me know if you come across such problem & what needs to passed as input to reste the checkbox in the BOM.

PLM wants to manipulate the Indicators u2013 u201CBulk Materialu201D & u201CCost Relevancyu201D in BOM.
Note: The 2 indicators [u201CBulk Materialu201D & u201CCost Relevancyu201D] are interlinked with each other for a business functionlity given by SAP. So, if we try to set both indicators we get the below SAP standard error.

Function module for BOM Update all line items at a time

Hi,
Please enlightenn us, which FM is do the update for BOM item datas. ( current FM is updated line item one item then come out and log in again updating another line item , thus cause more error are facing.)
we want a FM to update one time all the line time and come out from the screen.

As suggested above use CEWB or if you want to manage it via a Z program then use:
CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN
or
CSAP_MAT_BOM_OPEN
CSAP_BOM_ITEM_MAINTAIN (Use these 3 in sequence, refer to the help file on the FM)
CSAP_MAT_BOM_CLOSE

BOM updation in production order

Then i changed the BOM line items & again i have created one more production order but new BOm items are not updaetd in the new production order

Kiran,
I would suggest you to check the Valid from Date of specific component you are taking about, probably you would have added with effectivity date 10.01.2008. Now when order is exploded it is looking for valid components as on 03.01.2008, this may be the problem.
A simple suggestion here is that you execute Read PP Master data for this order in the change mode(CO02), from the menu bar Functions--->Read PP Master Data. You would get a Pop-up screen Read PP Master data.. here in the screen "Cont." button. One more screen pops up, here in the BOM explosion date you give it as 10.01.2008. Hope you will get the new component also in your production order now.

CS01 CS02 BOM Update

In CS01, CS02 transactions, i need to update de field STPO-DSPST. I tried to use BADI BOM_UPDATE, CEWB_BOM_UPDATE, exit PCSD0xxx and BTE CACS0000 but in all of them i didn´t get to modify the valeu of this field.
Can anyone help me?

Please read the below help for Explosion type .
If the Explosion type is Phantom assembly off
You use the Phantom assembly off indicator, to determine how an assembly with the Phantom assembly special procurement key is exploded.
If the header material of an assembly has the special procurement key for a phantom assembly in its material master record, the standard SAP System:
Transfers dependent requirements for the superior assembly directly to the components of the phantom assembly
Generates planned orders or purchase requisitions for the components of the phantom assembly
If you set this indicator, dependent requirements are also generated for materials that have the Phantom assembly indicator.
So when you are using the badi or function check your material master record which a link to explosion type.

BOM Update product price

In production Bill of Materials... tu update the product price you need to click on the yellow arow at the right bottom of the form... this is done one by one
Is there another way to update product price for several products at the same time instead of the yellow arrow?

My question is about the price calculated when you click on the yellow arrow.
Wen you upload product trees via DTW the field remains empty and the sales gross margin is 100%
this is wrong because the cost price of the product tree is not 0 but equal to the sum of components
According to my knowledge the yellow arrow can only be activated manually and when you have more than 100 product trees it is very long
So this is my question ONLY about the yellow arrow field nothing else which copy the sum of components that you also see at the bottom of the product tree lines table

BOM update BDC

Hi all,
I want to populate a field for each component of the BOM using CS02. For example I have two components for a particular BOM.
I am selecting each component and going into the details of each component.Here I want to populate the field.
After populating this field, I am selecting the second component and repeating the process.
I want to write a BDC program for this.Can anyone tell me how to use the concept of table controls in this case with an example.
Here I don't have two separate files i.e., one for header and the other for items.

IDOC Failed for BOM Update

The error message is "Processing of Change Number xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Cancelled" Message Number CC569.
We cannot see more error details in application log.
Please provide some clues on how to avoid this error

Could you please check the authorization roles of your RFC USER ? If user can't change or create change numbers in your system the error could be issued.

BADI in tcode CS02 for BoM updation ..pls very urgent

I need the name of badi which is called after every change in bills of material for material.
i,e In the TCODE CS02, after changing the quantity and given save, i need to send mail to concerned users intimating them about the change.
I tried using the badi... BOM_UPDATE with the method...Change_at_save, but this method is called before the data is saved into database.

Just update BOM usage qty via ECN

Hi, All,
I face a trouble on BOM update via ECN. for example,
in product trial run phase, I created a BOM and set component qty as 1ea, and scarp as 50%. meanwhile, I also know that, after 3 month, (for example: in 1st July) the scarp will be update into 3% because the product will going to mass production, so, I also created a ECN, and just set scarp as 10% at that time.
However, some time later (maybe 2 weeks), customer ask us to change the component qty as 2ea. so, I create a ECN to update the BOM.
in 1st July, the bom was changed and set the component qty as 1ea, scarp as 50% due to my pervious the ECN. I hope the component did not be changed.
Hi, everyone please tell me, can I just set a ECN just update scarp instead of whole BOM item?

Dear Henry,
You can create a separate Change number or use the same change number to make any BOM changes,it may be a quantity
change or else scrap % change etc.
In my understanding it does not mean we have to use the change number only to change the component or it's quantity.

Update using dataTableModel

Hi,
I am trying to update an Oracle table using dataTableModel. The table does not have any foreign keys. I can correctly display the table. I display it by pages, 10 rows per page. I display four read-only columns of the PK and two Varchar2 updatable columns. The "Update Database" button has the text I grabbed from the "Java Studio Creator Field Guide":

Actual cost are not updating in prodcutcost collectors ( KKF6N) - Variances

Hi SAP's
We are facing the problem with the Variance calculation for product cost collectors.
The issue is When we are calulating the Variances for prodcut cost collectors the actual costs are not ( For few materials of BOM) updating.
Because of these the variances are showing high.....If I settele this variances to COPA, my copa report is will be going wrong.....
Please help me to comeout of this problem.

Please add the budget profile at Plant maintenance order level no need to add any substitution rule
budget should also be control at order level
