BOM Workflow with two levels of approval

Hi All,
I am working on BOM workflow. my requirement is, when ever a BOM has changed before updating the database it should be approved by 2 approvers. The changes should be updated to the database whenever the final approver approves the changes.
I found the BO type BUS1080 but I dont find any related events here.
Is this requirement is feasibel or not?
If so can anybody please help me how to complete it?

Actually what I need is to build a workflow which will be triggered whenever a Sales Order is created by some user.First the workflow will check if the sales order value is greater than Rs.10,000 or not.If yes it will go for the first level of approval to authority1 if not it simply complete the workflow.If authority1 approve the workflow it will go to authority2 for second level of approval.If authority1 reject that it will go back to the sales order creater to change it or he simply complete the workflow.If he choose change then it will again go for the first level of approval to authority1.If authority1 approve the sales order then it will go to the authority2 for second level of approval.If authority 2 approves it the sales order will be finally approved else it will return back to the creater to change or withdraw.

OIM 11g r2: SOA workflows for two level approval.

HI Experts,
I am using SOA workflows in OIM 11g r2. The requirement is to have a two level approval for a role (which provisions Oracle DBUM connector at present) : first for Manager and second for the Role owner.
I have created and deployed the composite with name AddAccessApproval but need to find how to use this for two level approval.
There is option for serial approval but how to pass it to Role owner.
Any help in this regard is appreciated.

Two levels of approval

Hello all,
I have a client that needs 2 levels of approval for travel expenses (request for travel- TRIP and travel expenses- specification of travel expenses- PR05). In order to do that we need to expand table in travel request and PTRV_HEAD (TRIP) seems like a good table because it is included in structure PTP02 (for travel expenses PR05). We need to expand table in order to get a drop down menu od approvers (level 1 and lever 2). Do you have have experience with expanding another table?
They are on version 4.7.
Do you have any other suggestions or ideas?

Hello,
I am not sure about the drop down list of the approvers however if you want that approval request to be send to two approvers as soon as user submit the trip, it can be achievable by workflow.
There is another case where trip should be approved by first approver and then it should go to second approver for further approval, this scenario is also achievable by doing changes in workflow.

Your question is not complete.
There are two types of bom explosion. from child to parent and parent to child.
You have to pass one material at a time. Please search in sdn for the fm's. This question ihas been widely discussed here.

Workflow with two machines

Just wondering how people out there manage working from two machines. I have an MBA that I take on the road and use when I'm sick of my office and want a change of scenery. And, I work on an iMac at my home office.
I'm new to Aperture, and am wondering how people work between a laptop and desktop. How do you sync up files? My MBA hard drive is obviously small, so I'd like to just just keep some core photos on it or maybe even just my most recent photos to work with along with a few older albums.
Any suggestions or techniques for workflow and syncing between machines?

Although various user workarounds exist, the issue of synching your laptop Library with your desktop Library has not (yet) been addressed by Apple. IMO Apple's failure (still) to address this key issue is a travesty; Apple's single-user Filemaker has had that capability since the 1980's.
I suggest going to "Provide Aperture Feedback" under the Aperture menu and requesting that Apple provide single-user synch capabilities for two Libraries (such as the laptop/desktop setups that you and I both have). Note that it is important to specify single-user, two-Libraries, because multi-user scenarios are entirely different solutions that - unlike single user solutions - are usually very complex and expensive.
Laptop drives are now available with up to 500 GB capacity, so you may want to consider upgrading the size of your internal laptop drive and using the removed stock drive for backup in an external case. In addition to added speed, the extra internal drive space can allow temporary internal storage of Referenced Masters while in the field if that is desired; or for help with whatever workaround Library-synch methodology is chosen.
Some workarounds include
• Exporting total projects that include Masters from your laptop Aperture for usage on your desktop Aperture.
• Keeping a single Aperture Library on a large external hard drive, and moving the external hard drive among computers. Obviously not ideal for portability, and substantial slowdown usually occurs because in most cases connection is by some method much slower than SATA. New Macbooks with their limitation to only USB are the worst.
I ask that Aperture users with two Macs go to "Provide Aperture Feedback" under the Aperture menu and advise Apple of our need for single-user synch of two Libraries.

Urgent : Workflow with two steps

Hi All,
i am doin a workflow in which i am using a activity step first to display the PO/SO and then a user decision step for either approving or rejecting it.
bt once the activity step (work item in SAP inbox) is executed, the workflow is terminated.
the user decision step is not executed.
can anyone assist how can i make both step work synchronously?

it is difficult to understand the issue. I request you to just do Business Business Object binding from Wflow to task in the decsion step. By doing that you will get the link of the PO/SO and you can use the decision also.
By the way are the present task in sequential fashion. I dont think so. It appears they are in a fork of 2 parallel branch and 1 necessary branch wich should not be the case change it 2 necessary branch

Creating a pivot table view with two levels of headers

Hi,
I have a requirement in which i need to have a common heading for two or more columns.
For Example, I have two columns like total number of loans and Total loan amount. As per my requirement, i need to give a common header 'Total loan' as the main header and amount and Count as two subheaders under the main heading in the pivot table.
In table view, i would be able to make it using the display column and table header property. But, i need to get the same in pivot table as we have to use pivot table view instead of table view.
Please Help me on this issue.

create one column in criteria and change it's fx to case when 1=0 then Products."Prod Name" else 'Tota Loanl' end
Now go to pivot and drag this column to Columns block of pivot. But keep this column up of Measure Labels and Now, go to column Format values.
Mention cell horizontal alignment to Center

Document Parking Workflow Responsible Agent for Two level release

Respected Members,
I have done all the configuration for document parking workflow.
i had said if the amount is greater than one lakh it should go two-level amount release.
My organisation hierarchy includes two positions,
SUB_HEAD with user xyz
HEAD with user ABC.
i have assigned the position HEAD with two level release workflow in spro.
When i am creating a parking document above one lakh, the work items are generating and it is coming
in the inbox for the both users ie xyz and abc.
MY requirement is that when xyz user execute the work item then only it should go to abc user inbox.
it should not go to abc inbox as soon as document is created.
Please give me the answer as soon as possible,

Getting two same workitems in PO release workflow for 2 level

Hi experts,
I am working in PO Release workflow upto two level of release.
But while triggring my workflow by creating PO I get two same workitem.One of the two has correct Release Code(I have checked that in workflow log) and another has Release Code with no value.If I execute one of them Its working fine.But 2nd one still remains in inbox.I think my workflow has been triggred twice while I am creating a PO.
Can someone suggest, where is the problem?

Dynamically Determine the level of approval in OIM

Hi All,
I have a requirement in which the level of approval has to be determined dynamically based on the requested resource. We have two levels of approval (first& second) and my customer wants second level approval only for certain resources and these details defined in a csv file. e.g., (resource1,first_app,second_app). So if the file contains second level approver data then 2nd level is required otherwise not required. Also the second level approval task should be intiated after the first level approver approves the request.
e.g., When the user request for a resource , the request should go to first level approvar. Once the first level approver approves the request it should validate whether second level approval is requred or not for the requested resource. If required then second level otherwise it should provision the resource to the user. Is it possibe to do that in OIM?
I have created 3 task , First one is for first level approval (unconditonal) . Second task is for second level approval (conditonal) and I have created another task (conditional)is just to validate whether second level approval is requred or not. With this task have attached an adapter and passing the requested resource as an argmuent from the object data , this adapter invokes a java and will return TRUE if second level required or FALSE if not required.
FIRST LEVEL -- Response Tab - For Approve -- Task to Generate -- I have mpped IS SEOND LEVEL task.
IS SECOND LEVEL -- Response Tab -- For TRUE - Task to Generate -- I have mapped SECOND LEVEL task (Status C).
IS SECOND LEVEL -- Response Tab -- For FALSE - Task to Generate -- nothing (Status R).
if IS SECOND LEVEL returns FALSE the approval ends with Rejected status. If IS SECOND LEVEL returns TRUE it immediately execute the provisioning process and then assigns the request to SECOND LEVEL approver. Am I missing anything?
Can you suggest me how to process with this?

Hey the only basic problem I can see with that is already written over there.
IS SECOND LEVEL -- Response Tab -- For FALSE - Task to Generate -- nothing (Status R).
So you have defined that with 'FALSE' response status you are rejecting your task, and if you are rejecting your task then your approval is finished. What you need to modify over here is just change the Status to 'C' which will let your workflow know that now there is no second level required and the approval stands completed.
I think you will not be able to change the response to 'C' for this because you have already used this 'Task Response' for some tasks. What you can do for this is -
1) Eitgher go and update the database for this mapping.
2) Send some other response from the file in place of FALSE. eg Send NO and then mark it as completed- 'C'
You should be done.

Two level of tabs - only 1 level shows up

Hi all,
I have an application, previously set up without using tabs, but I added two level of tabs. It looks like everything is fine, but only the standard tabs are on the pages, not the parents.
Invionment: Apex 4.1, Oracle 10gR2 on Windows 32 bit
This is what I've done:
- set the page component default in the theme (26) to 'Two level of tabs, no sidebar'
- I have a parent tab set ('PTS1')
- I have 4 parent tabs: PTAB1, PTAB2, PTAB3, PTAB4. All parent tabs have one or more tabs under it and the tab target is the right page.
- all the tabs have the 'standard tab set' set right, ie PTAB1. All tabs are in parent tab set 'PTS1'
- alle the pages have page template 'use theme default'. I also tried setting it explicitly to one of the templates with two level of tabs, but with the same result.
When I open a certain page, I only see the tabs, I don't see the parent tabs! Is there something I forgot to configure?

Ok first go to shared components > Tabs. Select your parent tab set.
Go to manage tabs. Does every parent tab got at least one subtab? Do they all refer to pages?
If that's ok go to edit standard tabs and check out the right column. Do all tabs there have a parent tab set? If they don't then edit those that don't have one.
If that did not solve it go to "Tabs".
Select your parent tab set PTS1. Check if all your parent tabs are viewable.
If they aren't then you created your parent tabs under different tab sets and you need to delete those that aren't on the right one.
I hope you can find a solution here somewhere.

Workflow PR-Next level pop-up for release

Dear All,
I am working on PR release through workflow, with three level release codes. I need your help in setting:-
Example:
In case PR received through workflow at 1st level for release code Z1, and if he could not able to release it within 5 Min, PR/task should be forwarded to next 2nd level for release Z2.
And in case 2nd level do not release within 10 Min, PR/task should be farwarded to 3rd level for decision
etc etc
It is some thing with lastet End, Request Start, Latest Start & Request End , but could not able to understand how to work with them in case of above situation.
Any tips/link/document would be great for me?

Two level tabs

I have an application with two-level tabs set up and when clicking on the 2nd level labs, I consistently get, not every time, the message, "Page cannot be displayed." Instead of having the tabs start displaying on the fifth page, do they need to be set up on all the pages?

Template Two Level Tabs should be set on everyone page.
Moreover, Parent Tab Set should be selected on everyone Standard Tab.
