Bomb error in Mac Performa 580CD

Hi all
I had no applications open and inserted a 3.5" floppy and received the bomb error. There is no text and the computer is no frozen. Tried to shut down by holding down the power button on the keyboard and nothing happened. Please help me to force eject the disk and restart the computer without damaging it! I use this computer to process some old collections I receive.

If it's what Tom mentioned, did you click on the button? If so did the Mac restart?
If not, there is a power switch on the back of that Mac which over rides the power switch on the keyboard.
But to remove the stuck floppy you can use a straightened paper clip. There is a small hole just under the slot for the floppy disk, stick the paper clip in that hole and this will pop out the floppy disk.

Mac SE FDHD bomb error

I just recently upgraded my Mac SE to a Mac SE FDHD with 4 MB of RAM & Mac OS 7.1. I've also installed System Update 3.0, Drag and Drop, SimpleText 1.3 & Thread Manager 2.0.1. Whenever I try to run Space Quest III and then exit out of it I get a bomb error and I'm forced to restart. Also when the game is open Roger Wilco never gets out of the escape pod he uses to escape Vohaul's asteroid on Space Quest II. I've even waited ten minutes and nothing happens at all like the game is frozen. Why am I getting the bomb error and are any patches available for any of Sierra On-Line's Mac adventure games?

The good news is there is a patch for some of Sierra On-Line's VGA Mac games. It affects Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist, Space Quest IV & Space Quest VGA remake, Leisure Suit Larry 5, Quest for Glory VGA remake (there may also be other affected Quest for Glory Mac VGA games) & King's Quest V & VI. Here's a URL for the patch: http://www.umich.edu/~archive/mac/misc/update/sierrapatch.cpt.hqx. I recommend saving the uncompressed file to a floppy disk as it's only twice the original size. The reason for this is that it's compressed using a old piece of shareware called Compact Pro. The first extraction must be done with StuffIt Expander or MindExpander (MindExpander is faster than StuffIt Expander too). .qlt file gives 415 error on mac, not on Windows

I encoded H.264 files (hinted for streaming) and placed them on my server (OSX server 10.3). From Mac: rtsp://path/file.mov works fine. Also http://path/file.mov works fine om Mac.
To make it more compatible I generated .qtl file, both from Quicktime Pro and texteditor. Same result.
When I paste the url in the browser: http://path/file.qtl, it performes OK on Windows 2000, but in Safari and Firefox(Mac) I get the Q sign and after a short while error 415, unsupported media type.
Also tried a javascript, xml, etc,but get the same error on Mac.
Have no idea what to do. The files in themselves stream OK in very good quality (H264 is really good, 300 kbs) Example: rtsp://212.45.53.76/aanbidding/vineyard/LW1Introductie.mov

Premiere CS6 + Yosemite + R3D "An unspecified error occurred while performing a conform action"

Hi there!
I seem to have an issue with Premiere Pro CS6 and Yosemite:
I have a Premiere project made in Premiere 6.0.5 composed entirely of R3D media. While running Mavericks 10.9.5, everything seemed to work just fine. I could play the timeline with or without rendering and I didn't have any error messages to speak of. After doing some research and finding out that CS6 works fine in Yosemite 10.10, I decided to take the plunge and upgrade last night. Today, I opened up the same Premiere project and I got the infamous "An unspecified error occurred while performing a conform action" error message for seemingly every R3D file in the project, and I could not play the timeline without rendering every frame.
I went back to the install disc and restored Premiere to the original 6.0.0, but that didn't help. So while in Yosemite, I updated Premiere back to 6.0.5 and found myself (unsurprisingly) with the same issue. I have a backup of Mavericks 10.9.5 that I can easily revert to, but I'd like to figure out what's going on! Yosemite is the only variable that changed, but I want to figure out what to do to allow Premiere Pro CS6 + Yosemite + R3D files to all play nicely together.
Please let me know if I can provide any more information or if there's anything I can do to get this up and running again.

Update from Adobe's Tim Kurkoski (on another thread):
I have verified this problem. After Effects CS6, Premiere Pro CS6, and Adobe Media Encoder CS6 experience problems with RED .r3d files on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite.
More specifically, the ImporterREDServer process used by these applications is failing to launch or crashing. You may be able to import and use some .r3d files for a short time, but once the ImporterREDServer process crashes, frames from imported files won't be returned, and importing new files will result in error messages.
We are investigating the problem.
This problem does not occur in the CC or CC 2014 versions of After Effects, Premiere Pro, or Adobe Media Encoder on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. If you do not have access to these versions, my suggestion for workarounds are to transcode the .r3d files to a different format (ex., QuickTime with ProRes or other high quality intermediate codec) or roll back to Mac OS X 10.9.

I have used to Java of BO dir as well as the program files\Java (1.6.03)
I run the runPublishUtil.bat and get the below error

Has anyone else gotten this error in any of their projects? I've searched around Adobe support pages and elsewhere on the internet, but have found nothing.
It comes up in the events window and I can't even read what file it's talking about because it's on the next line, but the error message only shows one line and I haven't figured out a way to expand it.
I'm not even sure if it's causing any problems, or not (the project seems to work ok). This message shows up twice, as a red circle with an 'X' in it, but I also get the following message numerous times referring to a large amount of my .avi files:
"File importer detected an inconsistency in the file structure of filename.avi. Reading and writing this file's metadata (XMP) has been disabled."
That message shows up as a yellow triangle with an '!' in it. Since I haven't been able to turn anything up about these messages, I figured I'd ask here and see if anyone knew what was going on, how to fix the problem or if I should even worry about them.

I am having this problem now when i use dynamic link from Premiere to after effects. I copy the footage from premiere then paste into after effects, i add alittle text maybe some light rays etc save it then go back to premiere. Then i get this message "An unspecified error occurred while performing a conform action on the following file C:\Caches\Media Cache Files\text comp 1 48000.cfa." does anyone have any idea as to what this is? i have had a few problems using the dynamic link from premiere to after effects problems such as Premiere freezing, not playing the after effects comps back in real time, crashes etc. Its as if the 2 programs dont like the dynamic link.

I am making a short video on premiere elements 10 and I seem to get this conforming error everytime I open the project and I cannot save it either!!
"Unspecified error occured while performing a conform action on the following file:
File0002.AVI 48000.CFA"
This happens everytime I open premiere elements 10 to lots (or all) of my video clips and I can't find any help in the adobe forums or anywhere else online!
Also, I want to save this video as an AVI file, but when I try to export it, it says it has finished quite quickly and has not even added anything to click on or when it does, it does not play. Sometimes it says it has finished then comes up with: "Error compiling movie. Unknown error". one of these happen everytime that I try to save it.
Lots (or all) of my avi files come up as this same conforming error when I load the project and I have no clue as to what to do!...
It also crashes nearly everytime after these compiling errors!

Issue faced:
When i run the page for the first time data gets inserted into custom table perfectly on clicking upload button,
but when clicked on add another button on the same page (which basically redirects to the same upload page and increments the attachment id by 1)
i am getting the below error:
Error
Unable to perform transaction on the record.
Cause: The record contains stale data. The record has been modified by another user.
Action: Cancel the transaction and re-query the record to get the new data.
Have spent entire day to resolve this issue but no luck.
Any help on this will be appreciated, let me know if i am going wrong anywhere.

I get error frm-40505:ORACLE error: unable to perform query on oracle form in 10g environment, but the same form works properly in 6i.

Hi everyone,
I have block created on view V_LE_USID_1L (which gives the error frm-40505) . We don't need any updation on this block, so the property 'updateallowed' is set to 'NO'.
To fix this error I modified 'Keymode' property, set it to 'updatable' from 'automatic'. This change solved the problem with frm-40505 but it leads one more problem.
The datablock v_le_usid_1l allows user to enter the text (i.e. updated the field), when the data is saved, no message is shown. When the data is refreshed on the screen, the change done previously on the block will not be seen (this is because the block updateallowed is set to NO), how do we stop the fields of the block being editable?
We don't want to go ahead with this solution as, we might find several similar screens nad its diff to modify each one of them individually. When they work properly in 6i, what it doesn't in 10g? does it require any registry setting?

It is standard Mountain Lion error due to the networking ability which is comparable to wet string. (actually that was lion.. it dried out some with Mountain Lion.. higher in the hills perhaps!!)

Error occured while performing nmConnect : Cannot connect to Node Manager.

Hi There,
I am trying to connect to my node manager via WLST, however when I try to do so I get the following exception:
WLSTException: Error occured while performing nmConnect : Cannot connect to Node Manager. : Read channel closed
I have searched Google for the reason behind this exception, but I couldnt find anything that explains why I am getting it.
Could someone help me out? All I want to do is connect to the node manager and then kill one of the nodes.
I should point out that the AdminServer and the node are the same machine.

The nodemanager will not accept SSL connections, I checked the config on WL itself.
I can confirm that it is also in nodemanager.domains
I have restarted the service and also bounced the box, but this hasnt helped. I get the following when running this command:

Mac Performa 405 Won't Boot

I have a Mac Performa 405 that won't boot. It's running Mac OS 7.6.1 with maxed out RAM & VRAM. I have installed a networking card with optional Motorola 68882 FPU in the LC PDS slot. It has a Revision B LC II logic board. I have already tried replacing the power supply. I also updated Open Transport to v. 1.1.2. My next move is going to be trying to replace the fan. The Mac won't even bong. What should I do to get my Mac working again? Is the hard drive dead?

Update: I have swapped the RAM in my Performa 405 out for the RAM that originally came with it. This resulted in some very odd things happening. The RAM I was using before was parity memory. The RAM I found in the Mac when it was given to me was non parity. The RAM I had in the RAM slots before had three memory chips. The RAM I found in the Mac originally only had two RAM chips. Swapping the RAM also appears to have affected the logic board too. Now polarity on the fan plug as measured with my digital multimeter has changed. Before when the parity memory was installed the plug at the left was negative & the middle plug was positive. Changing back to the original non parity RAM changed the polarity of the logic board's fan connector so that now the middle plug is negative & the plug on the right is positive. I was also wondering what other tests I should perform too. The Mac also now bongs & is acting more normally than before.

Error message in iWeb 07 'publishing error to .Mac'

Hi there
I know there were a few questions related to the changes from .Mac to ME and I asked one. What I am now experiencing is that even though my new entries are all published and can be read online, in iWeb, everything is still marked red (unpublished) and once the publishing process is done, I get a message 'Error publishing to .Mac'. Well, I can well imagine that there is an error, since .Mac is no longer continued, but is there a way to get rid of this message and see published entries in 'blue' again?
I am happy if there is no solution, it is more cosmetic anyway. But would appreciate a short answer.

Chris ~ You're welcome. MobileMe was a re-branding of the .Mac name — so any reference to MobileMe also relates to .Mac.

Problems with iWeb's blog are a recurring theme on these forums: Lost all blog entries or all comments or unable to publish, etc. If you switch to a dedicated blogging platform you're likely to have a better experience.
