Bonjour found and added my Printer... but only Pretends to Print.

Windows 7; Cannon Printer USB Connected to a 2010 Model Airport Express (Firmware has been upgraded)
--Bonjour did as advertised. It helped me discover and add the right print driver to my Printer list in Windows 7.
--Then the PC does a great job of pretending to print. The driver comes up as normal; the dialogue boxes are right.
--Then it even queus the document for printing.
--Then NOTHING happens. It all stops and dissapears.
Firewall? I read in an archived post that firewals may be causing this.
So, I turned off the firewall. It didn't work.
VPN? I read somewhere that it's possble a VPN can interfere with the Port.
So, I turned that off too. It still didn't work.
I hope someone can help.

Hi,
Right click the PCL 6 printer icon and select Printer Properties.
From the Device Settings tab change the Mode from Automatic to Color and confirm the changes.
Can you see any differerent while orinting now?

I can't help with the scan/print problem. You seem to have done everything I would try.
I don't know if maybe using a registry cleaner would help.

Google -- images found 57,800,000 results but only 30 or so showed up. How do I view more images? I like the older firefox better: I could scroll through hundreds of images.

I like the old firefox much better. When I go to Google --> images and type in "spider", Google tells me that 57,800,000 images were found, but only 30 (or so) are displayed now and there doesn't seem to be a way to access more images. Prior to the upgrade, I could scroll through page after page of images to find the best image for my needs. Tools --> options didn't provide any solutions.

rimsx: Thank you once again for the ideas. No error message is generated. I did try disabling all extensions to see if that did anything, too, and restarting firefox.
I work on a government computer, so maybe it's a problem getting through our firewall! Who knows? Chrome and Internet Explorer allow me to search through pictures, though, so I've got other options. For some odd reason, I was a little partial to firefox.
The way things work around here is that I can try using firefox again in a few months and everything will work perfectly!!!!

The only way I can get it to close anymore is to go to the task manager and 'end process' itunes. I do get an error at the beginning saying " the registry settings used by the itunes drivers for importing and burning CD's and DVD's are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please re-install itunes." I have searched the internet for possible fixes to no avail. Please help...anyone!

Lets see whether this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
Now open itunes and see if it is working?

Just got a macbook, and I cannot print on my printer. I used to be able to print on my printer with my old Dell laptop, but I can't print with my macbook. I can see the printer network on on my macbook, it says it is my default printer, but I can't print.

You may have to visit the printer manufacturer's web site and look into their support pages to get a print driver for your Mac, and install it. Or see if you can see if a driver may already be in your Mac by checking settings, since there are many drivers already installed in Mac OS X.

Audibook files can be found and played on the iphone only with spotlight. Help me get them to show and play.

I download audiobooks to Overdrive console, then all parts are transfered to iphone 4s with IOS 7.1. Files can be found and played on phone only with spotlight. This is a difficult procedure for my wife. Help me to show and play audiobooks downloaded from library using Overdrive. Tried Sync and beboot several timnes.

I used it once for audiobooks with a phone that had iOS 6, and the audiobook was transferred into the music app.
I think the audiobook in question was in the WMA format, though, and was converted to MP3 in iTunes and then transferred to my phone, now that I think about it a bit more.
There is a program/app for the computer that can play liason between phone and computer, rather than just using the app on the iPhone. That could be contributing to the issue here.

You can get Aip Drop to work on earlier Macs running Lion which Apple say are not compatible, well I did on my Early 2008 iMac.

HP Deskjet 5550 issues-can't print but iMac definitely recognizes printer!

I recently added my iMac to my network of PC desktop and laptop, supported by a Home Portal (router) and an Airport Express for streaming music from iTunes. Works great! With the new iMac, I cannot get any documents to print, even though the iMac recognizes the printer in the Printer Setup Utility Assistant. The laptop still prints easily via the wireless network to the printer. Apple Tech support has not been helpful. I've downloaded the newest HP drivers for both the iMac and my PC, so everything's up to date. Any suggestions??

Can't offer you an answer as I have exactly same problem - did you discover a solution? I currently get a couple of lines of text on printer and then loads of page feeds. If you set up the printer as a hp gimp 550c type then you do get your document printed but its followed by the page feeds, so not much good.
Any further ideas would be gratefully received.

Make sure that the printer is powered on, has ink / toner, and that there are no alerts on the printer’s control panel. Note: If you cannot clear an alert on the printer's control panel, stop here and check the printer's documentation or contact the manufacturer for support.
Ensure the printer is properly connected to a USB port on the Mac or AirPort base station / Time Capsule. If the printer is a network-capable printer, make sure that it is properly connected to your home network.

Open the Print & Scan pane or Print & Fax (Snow Leopard) pane in System Preferences.
