Bonjour is MISSING!

My MacBook got formatted and now I can't seem to find Bonjour anywhere. I need it to print wirelessly. Is there somewhere I can download it from or is there another way to print using a shared printer?
Thanks...

Hello,
If your Mac is running 10.4, then you need to post in the: Tiger Forum
Check your System Preferences (Applications folder) and click: Print&Fax. For trouble shooting, with the System Preferences window open, from the Menu Bar, click: Help and use the Help Viewer to search for help.

  • Hello. help! My bonjour is missing for my itunes. I tried reinstalling and I get this message: "Support personnel could not write value manageLLRouting to key \SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ServicesBonjourService\parameters

Hello, my Bonjour was missing from my computer for Itunes; I cannot find it in my programs so it seems it has been accidentally deleted. I tried re-installing and got this message: "Support personnel could not write value ManageLLRouting to key \SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BonjourService\Parameters".  Someone please help as I am trying to get my itunes reinstalled and recognized by my phone. I use a Windows 7 software.
    Any assistance is truly appreciated.
    Thanks!

That particular message might be triggered by Trend Antivirus. If so disabling the real time scanner while updating iTunes and other components should work.

  • "Bonjour Printers" missing from  "Printer:" pull-down in Print dialog box

One of our users has recently lost the ability to add Bonjour printers. For example, if he presses Command-p to open the Print dialog box, then clicks on the arrows icon to produce the list of available printers, the "Bonjour Printers" option does not appear in the list. None of the others in our small group (six of us, all with identical 1.67Ghz G4 Powerbooks running identical OSX versions - 10.4.3 with all updates applied) have experienced this problem. The user in question reports seeing the expected Bonjour option in the recent past and claims to have installed noting more than the recommended OSX updates in the mean time.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Chance

    Thanks for the reply.
Our user's problem was "fixed" when he arrived at work a day later and happened to look in the pirnter menu only to discover that the "Bonjour Printers" option had reappeared. He had made no configuration changes in the mean time.
I can confirm that he wasn't imagining things in either instance. In fact, we used Bonjour Browser when things were broken and again after they were "fixed". In the former case, only two or three Bonjour items were listed, while in the latter there were 13 local services, including the Print Spooler.
All our Macs get their IP configuration via DHCP, so it is possible that various network configuration changes were made without our intervention. Nonetheless, this is very odd behavior.

  • Cannot see Apple TV in iTunes

Help!.. Cannot see Apple TV in iTunes...
Have Dell PC running Windows 7 64-bit Prof. Hard-wired into d-link wireless router/modem.
Followed all Apple TV trouble shooting advice to no avail. As a final resort have even fully reinstalled PC operating system and still cannot see the device.
As a test Apple TV was found over the same wireless network by my laptop running XP - so I am sure it is not an Apple TV or network fault.
Has anyone got any adive pls?

had the same problem. The following was found in another thread on ATV disappearing from iTunes. It was posted by Cima113. I tried it. It brings ATV back in iTunes. Mine has been fine now for a month. I hope this helps someone.
    (Copied part starts here)
It appears the best and only known solution for the AppleTV issue (windows) isn’t actually iTunes build 9.1.0.79. After the helpful postings to this thread it appears that the recent update of Bonjour is the actual culprit. Users experiencing this issue (Apple TV stopped appearing in iTunes 9.1.0.79) should try the following if your setup stopped working after iTunes 9.1.0.79.
    1) Uninstall Bonjour version 2 :
    Start> control panel>> uninstall a program>>> Select Bonjour>>>> Uninstall
    2) RESTART your computer!!!
    3) Open iTunes…
You should get a message that Bonjour is missing… This is what you want.
*While you have iTunes open make sure “Find AppleTV’s” is selected in iTunes, under:
Edit> Preferences>> Apple TV tab>>> Check box bottom.
(The above step must wait until after you install Bonjour 1.0.6, restart and open iTunes. This option is noy available while Bonjour is not installed)
    4) Close iTunes.
    5) Install Bonjour 1.0.6 (reputable download site: Cnet’s Download.com see below)
    http://download.cnet.com/Bonjour-for-Windows/3000-18507_4-93550.html
    6) RESTART your computer!!!!
    7) Open iTunes
    8) Start AppleTV and …
    Go to: Settings> Computers>> locate the “iTunes/Add library” option>>>
Go to PC and Enter code in iTunes.
Restarting after uninstall AND install are critical!!

  • For the past 2 weeks I have been trying to download itunes, everytime I try i get a install interrupted screen, please try again later, What do I do?

2 weeks ago when I started itunes I got a message that Bonjour was missing, it recommended I Unistall itunes and then re-install it.
I uninstalled iTunes and now it won't re-install, everytime I've tried I get a Window that says " Installation Interrupted, Your computer has not been modified, re-run the installer again later.  Evertime I get the same thing. What do I do?

I get the strong feeling that you did not read my earlier response. Apps @ 4.71GB. Android OS @ 3.52GB. Everything else is in the low MBs, since I keep everything I can on my SD card.
If you would like more detail, "Android OS 3.52GB" "Available 467MB" "Apps 4.69GB" "Pictures 24.70MB" "Audio 214KB" "Downloads 1.30MB" "Cached data 57.74MB" "Misc. 101MB".
I regularly move screenshots and any other pictures that somehow end up in my internal storage. I also do not text nearly enough for the memory to be eaten up at the rate that my memory appears to be eaten up. I do delete old threads fairly regularly.

  • 9.1.1 up and running.

    I installed itunes 9.1.1 a while ago.
Restart of itunes updates your library.
(takes around a second or two unlike some previous updates)
iTunes connects with all my tv's.
iTunes syncs with all my tv's.
No UI/functional differences that I note.

The following was found in another thread on ATV disappearing from iTunes. It was posted by Cima113. I tried it. It brings ATV, but in streaming mode. Better than not being there at all. Still have not been able to get ATV ti sync the way it did onve upon a time. I hope this helps someone.

  • When I try to download iTunes I this error message "an old version of Bonjour cannot be deleted" and when I try it won't let me saying that the bonjour.msi is missing.

I am trying to download iTunes, it gets so far and then I get an error message that says that an old Bonjour cannot be removed, it goes on a bit further and says and old Apple Software Update cannot be removed; and then it says that the installation was interrupted and to try again.
I have gone to the control panel and tried to remove all traces of Bonjour, Apple, Quicktime but the two will not be removed it says that their .msi file and missing and to try to find them.  I have even reinstalled the programs from the ProgramData files in an attempt to repair or replace the missing files but I still get the same answer.
Can anyone help me? I need iTunes up and running to sync with my phones.
    Thank you for your help,
    Barbara

    Hi Barbara,
I had a similar problem recently and using the "more like this" feature I discovered an answer. To a problem posed by Holo7,  who like myself was a newbie on this platform,  b noir proposed a solution to Holo7's problem that also worked with my problem. It involves downloading a version of MS Windows Instal Cleanup and using it to completely remove all traces of the old version.
If you look at my problem (follow OldGit66) and the link to Holo7's problem then you will find b noir's answer which I think may help you. I am new around here so you might want to wait for one of the higher status correspondents.

  • IAhave am iPad 1. I downloaded PrintCentral Pro and also the Bonjour Printer Wizard as prompted. I still can not print. What am I missing?  I am new to this...Please help.  Thank you!

I have an iPad 1. I downloaded PrintCentral Pro and also the Bonjour Printer Wizard as prompted. I still can not print. What am I missing?  I am new to this...Please help.  Thank you!

Depending on what you are trying to print you may have to print from within the app.  For example, to print an email or web page you have to open what you want to print from print central pro.  If your printer is not a supported printer there is another app from the same developer that allows you to print from your iPad to your printer via a wired pc.  You may want to drop them an email.  They have pretty good customer service and respond to emails very quickly.

  • Printer Settings dialog missing when printing to another Mac with Bonjour

I want Photoshop to manage my color settings rather than my Epson 4800 or Epson SPRX 580 printers, so in the print dialog box I select the "Printer Color Management" tab and set color adjustments to the OFF position. This works fine as long as the printer is connected directly to my MacBook or my MacBook Pro. But if I try to send a job on my MacBook Pro via bonjour to either of the printers when it is connected to my MacBook, the print dialog is missing the choices of "Printer Color Management", "Printer Settings", etc.
All that is available are things like "Layout, Cover Page, Scheduler, Summary." The "Printer Settings, Color Management" options only show up on either computer when connected directly to the printer.
Is there a way to get those other choices (Printer Settings, Color Management) when printing over a bonjour network?
I'm on Mac OS 10.5.6 on the MacBook Pro and Mac OS 10.4.10 on the MacBook. I have downloaded all the driver updates from Epson and deleted and added the printers again with the same result.

HP must have release a driver update because we no longer encounter the problem.

  • Missing top of page when printing to C4280 via Bonjour

We have two PowerBooks that are identical. We have an HP C4280 printer hooked up to one, and share it using Bonjour. When I try to print a legal sized PDF file, the first half-inch or so at the top of the page is missing, almost like the margin has disappeared. I saw something similar happen using Pages and business card stock. That problem mysteriously disappeared a day later.
Is there something about the C4280 and problems with not aligning the tops of pages correctly? I am stumped!
    Thanks!

  • Cannot download, delete, update Itunes. Missing Bonjour.msi

Cannot download, delete or update my itunes. I'm missing bonjour.msi. There has to be a way to fix this without purchasing those fixit programs or rebooting my whole system.

Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)

  • Bonjour services erratic or missing, mDNSResponder quitting on boot

I've searched the forum, and found that several users have had trouble after the update to 10.5.5. I think my problems stem from mDNSResponder not launching correctly. What happens is that my MacBook and my PowerMac G4 no longer see any Bonjour related services on the network. A printer connected to an AP express won't show up, Airport Utility can not see the AP express or the Time Capsule. +"File > Configure other..."+ will see the units, so the problem is down to Bonjour. Same for the printer, it works on the MacBook where it's already installed. On the G4 it's missing all together. Shared folders will not show up "bonjour-wise", but mounting them manually by IP-address works. This line appears frequently in system.log:
    22.11.08 22.31.16 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.mDNSResponder[26]) Exited abnormally: Segmentation fault
In short, my network is functioning as it should, but none of the Bonjour-enabled services advertising across the network register on the Macs. The network consists of a single 192.168.1.0/24 subnet, a Time Capsule as the main router, an AP express connected via WDS and three connected computers, two Macs and a Vista PC. And all Bonjour services work on the PC! And it all worked just fine a few weeks ago, prior to the update.
    Please help...

I 'm unable to down load updates, can anyone help? Missing Bonjour and msi.installer for I-Tunes

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

I can't seem to find any information on this. But have done the following things on my iPhone 4 recently. Upgrade to 5.1 and then to 5.1.1 (Photostream failed before 5.1.1 upgrade). I've also copied and deleted all the photos from my phone to my PC.
