Bonjour not available on 10.4.11

I have an iMac and three other office macs networked together (Linksys wired router). Today, I noticed that no Bonjour services are available. I use this for printing and for my Acccountant Edge program that uses Bonjour to connect to the shared files. I can see any Mac from each other from the Finder/Go/Network area but Bonjour has ceased to function. Bonjour is "seen" on the other three macs with no problems. I repaired privileges and restarted several times. I know the mDNSResponder and Bonjour files are built in the system.
Any way to diagnose and avoid an Archive/Install?

That's usually what happens when System components take a hike. I don't see anything relevant in the console. No Bonjour Printers are available in the Printer setup prefs.
It's going to be a long night. I just had to repair my MBP as in lost network settings/airport for one of the users....

Importing CD's, shows as 'Not Available'

This problem has plagued me for around a month or so now, and my mrs is driving me nuts moaning she cant upload her new cd's.
I've tried, read all the 'fixes', performed installs etc.
I've run a diagnositcs check and pasted it here, if anyone can see where its all gone wrong, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just to sumarise, i put in audio CD, iTunes asks to rip it, click ok, it rips some song normally, then just whips through em all really fast. Once it says its 'finished' i check in the music folder and the songs are there, wont play, shows not available in song length section

Crikey ... that's a brand and model name I'd never seen before.
Do XFX have a support site with downloads and drivers for your/her model of PC? Checking, because there's newer LG firmware available for the GH22LS50 (rev TL03), but if the PC manufacturer provides their own tweaked versions of firmware and drivers and whatnot, it's best to get that firmware rather than going to (in this case) LG and getting the firmware they supply for the drive.

I am trying to find a fix for this...just bought a new computer with windows 7, all updates have been performed. Itunes will not install...it just stops and says "windows installer service not available" Can't find a stand alone downloadable version of installer 5.0 which is what comes with 7 from the research I have done. I have the newest version of itunes saved on desktop, tried running it from desktop, tried running as admin, tried several other ideas that I found on here and Microsoft..but nothing is working. Any advice?

Doublechecking ... by any chance did you migrate a 32-bit version of the iTunes, Apple Mobile Device Support and Bonjour programs to the 64-bit machine from a 32-bit machine using the PC Mover utility?
(Your symptoms are consistent with that ... the installer service throws the message when trying to uninstall the 32-bit itunes and related 32-bit componentry prior to installing the new 64-bit versions.)

Bonjour not working

Hi everyone,
I hope someone out there can shed some light on this problem: I have a G4 AGP with an upgraded OW Computing processor running at 1GHz. I had never needed to utilize Bonjour until I recently purchased a new printer that hooks up via Bonjour (not Appletalk). I cannot get the computer to see the printer either via Bonjour, or via the printer's static IP address. I was running 10.4.11, and everything seems to work BUT Bonjour. Networking with other computers was fine, internet access was fine, email was fine. My computer and the printer are hardwired to a Belkin router.
I am at my wit's end trying to figure this one out. I even wiped my drive, and reinstalled 10.4, but to no avail. The 2 laptops I also have (running 10.4.11) does not seem to have any problems connecting to the printer via Bonjour. I even tried changing ethernet cables, and moving to different ports on the router. Any ideas on what I can try at this point?

Thanks for the reply, but no, I did a FRESH system install, no printer sharing. I also tried to see if Bonjour is working by showing Bonjour in the Safari bookmarks, but still no response. Did it to the laptop, and the printer shows in the bookmark without a problem. Not sure what is going on. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Laptop (Running Windows 8.1) no longer able to print and now see message Active Directory Domain Services is not available

Have a very recent Lenovo Ideapad Laptop running Windows 8.1. Connected via USB port to HP LaserJet Pro CM1415 frw Color MFP Printer. Was able to print fine nearly 2 weeks ago, but something recently happened - either a new windows or office 2013 update
or perhaps I blew away a certain file by mistake. I can see the printer installed but cannot print to it from anything (Word, Notepad, IE, Firefox etc.). The one thing to note is that usually when I plug or unplug a USB related device, Windows 8.1 recognizes
this and makes a certain chime noise, but with the printer USB cable it never makes that noise - making me think that it never fully recognizes the printer. Also when I select the printer (from within the control panel) and right click for properties (via
admin rights) It never lets me fully connect to it.
I have tried all the usual remedies - remove, install all drivers, reinstall printer, Windows update, start/stop print spooler and all other printer related services, etc. Its really annoying because this printer was working fine nearly 2
weeks ago. Looking for any advice now. Thanks.

I noticed that you had reinstalled the printer. Just a confirmation, when un-install this printer, please check
if this printer still exist in registry. For more details, please refer to following KB.
Registry entries for printing
If printer entry still exist in registry, please delete that printer entry and re-install this printer again,
then check if this issue still exists. (Please backup registry entries before operating registry. It will help us to avoid unexpected issue.)

My external hard drive is not recognized by Time Machine; "The backup disk is not available" according to Disk Utility

I'm not completely tech savvy, but I'm having troubles with my external memory & time machine. I'm a student, and thus its very important to me to be able to back up my computer.
I wanted to back up my Time Machine the other day. I clicked the icon at the top of the page (beside the battery icon, etc.) and the message "The backup disk is not available". My macbook pro is version 10.7.5 Mac OS X Lion. My external memory is only about a year old. It hasn't been dropped or anything; it permanently sits secured to my desk.
What appears when I click "Repair Disk":

I don't want to wipe my memory on my external disk just in case the disk doesn't restore (as I do not have another disk to back up my computer on to).

Sounds like it either has, or is about to die.
If you don't need anything off the old drive, then yes, replace it immediately with something a little more reolaable. I use WD Caviar Black personally. But anything that has a known low failure rate.

In Pages 5.2, some fonts "not available", yet present in Font Book and working in other apps

Using Pages 5.2, I open a document created in a previous version, and I get error messages about certain fonts within a font family being "not available" in OS X. However, these supposedly unavailable fonts are present in Font Book and work just fine in all other apps running on OS X. In fact, I still have the older version of Pages on my system, and it still finds the fonts without issue. The specific fonts troubling me at the moment are Myriad Pro Semibold It and Myriad Pro Cond. Pages 5.2 replaces them with Helvetica. I have wasted hours of time trying to resolve this problem, and I am at a total loss. What can I do?

Like so many other thing is is probably gone. Why not use Pages 09 that has about 100 features more than Pages 5. If you haven't deleted it it should still be in Applications/iWork 09 folder.

My app did the exact same thing. It is still unavailable on the App Store and when Rue La La's site directs you to download their app, the "not available in the U.S. message appears. This happened to me last night. I tried to update and it keeps telling me to get the Application Manager. And this is what happens

Saving master page in search template throws error "UserAgent not available, file operations may not be optimized"

I was trying to save basic search template master page "seattle.master" after making change to the template.
I have added just "CompanyName" folder and update the line below in seattle.master.
Change is this : <SharePoint:CssRegistration Name="Themable/CompanyName/corev15.css" runat="server"/>
When I save it, and refresh page on browser, it shows "Something went wrong" error.
ULS says the following error : "UserAgent not Available, file operation may not be optimized"
Pls let us know if there is a solution.

Data Federator data source not available causes Universe Connection error

I created a Data Federator project that connects to 20 servers across US and Canada. All data sources are SQL Server 2005. The DF project maps 40 source objects into 4 target objects. I created a universe based on the DF project and we have been quite pleased with Webi query response. Today one of the source servers was taken off line and this generated a connection error when trying to access the universe (not trying to access the data source that failed). We do not want the universe connection to error when one source server is not available u2013 is that possible?
If the answer is no then I see us abandoning what appears to be a great solution for real time distributed reporting and resorting to ETL and moving data.
