Bonjour Wont start (Error 6)

Question

I seem to be yet another person having trouble getting bonjour to install correctly. I am currently running on windows 7 64 bit, i can get itunes to install fine but i get warnings about bonjour not starting resulting in not being able to access remote speakers or home sharing.
When trying to reinstall bonjour separately i get the standard error message of not being able to start the service please check you have permissions ect.
But if i goto the event viewer i am getting errors from MsiInstaller
Product: Bonjour -- Error 1920. Service 'Bonjour Service' (Bonjour Service) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
As well as Bonjour service
WSARecvMsg failed (6)
any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Here's the theory, first.
Standard instructions for "complete" uninstallation/reinstallation of BonJour, as per for example:

... are incomplete. Like QuickTime, BonJour stashes some components down in the system files. (In BonJour's case, there's stuff in both your 32-bit and 64-bit system files on a 64-bit machine.) Like any other file, they can get damaged, and so there's the potential that they can silently fail to be removed/updated by any given BonJour/iTunes update.
So I'd like us to try an "ultra-clean" iTunes/BonJour uninstall, removing the BonJour files from the system folders as well as clearing away documented program files and folders.
Here's the procedure.
Head into your Uninstall a program control panel. Uninstall iTunes. Uninstall BonJour.
Next we'll clear away any left-over program files and folders.
In Computer, open Local Disk C:\ or whichever drive you have your program files installed on.
Open the "Program files" folder.
Right-click on the "iTunes" folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Right-click on the "BonJour" folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Go back into Local Disk C:\ or whichever drive you have your program files installed on.
Open the "Program files (x86)" folder.
Right-click on the "iTunes" folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Right-click on the "BonJour" folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Go back into Local Disk C:\ or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on.
Open the "Windows" folder.
Open the "System32" folder.
Right-click on the dnssd.dll and dns-sd.exe files (if they still exist), and select "Delete".
Go back into the "Windows" folder.
Open the "SysWOW64" folder.
Right-click on the dnssd.dll and dns-sd.exe files (if they still exist), and select "Delete".
Empty your recycle bin, and restart the PC. Try another iTunes install.
Does it seem to go through properly? If so, try launching iTunes. Does it launch without the errors this time?
