Book delivery times in the UK

Anyone got experience of book delivery times in the UK? Does it vary by number of images/pages?

Last time I got one printed it was 7 working days, that was for a twenty page book. Delivery was from Holland.

Anyone else having extra long delivery time for the late 2013 macbook pro 15" 2.6ghz 1tb model?
As of today feb 15 i have been waiting for 78 days. Finland doesn't have an official apple store (only authorized resellers) It was my mistake because i should have bought from apple.com. But i think 2.5 months is too long and i have no information about when i can get it..

    The low-end 15” rMBP with a 8 GB or RAM and a 256 GB SSD costs $2,000.
    The low-end 15” rMBP with a 8 GB or RAM and a 512 GB SSD costs $2,300.
With 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD it costs $2,500.
    The high-end 15” rMBP with a 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD costs $2,600.
All cost $500 dollars more with a 1 TB SSD.
So the SSD size is not a differentiating factor unless you prefer 256 GB.
If you think you need 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD then you might as well spend the extra $100 for the high-end model.
The high-end model will make a difference on gaming and graphics-oriented applications.
They tend to run other applications at about the same speed.
Both models are rated with 8 hours of battery life.
Benchmarks on PhotoShop comparing memory sizes:  https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5659174?tstart=30
The speed was about 10% different between 8 GB and 16 GB models.
On other applications your mileage may vary.
    Application benchmarks:
    http://www.macworld.com/article/2059215/15-inch-retina-macbook-pro-review-a-tale -of-two-laptops.html
The low-end and high-end performed the about the same on non-graphics oriented applications.
    Graphics oriented benchmarks:
On the Cinebench OpenGL benchmark the high-end was about twice as fast.
On the Unigine Heaven Benchmark benchmark they ran at about the same speed.
On the Unigine Valley Benchmark benchmark the high-end was about 1.5x as fast.

  • Book Delivery Times

How many days longer has anyone seen between express and standard delivery for books?

It might help with questions like this if you mention where on the planet you actually are. The delivery times vary from country to country.

  • Delivery times for the UK?

I'm waiting for delivery of a new Intel iMac (my first Mac). I've just had notification of dispatch and was wondering if anyone in the UK could give me an idea of how long delivery is likely to take? Thanks

What if it's shipping from China to UK? Anyone had experience with MBP times from the factory to London? Mine shipped Friday 24/3. On the apecode.com website it had 5/4 as estimated time of arrival but it's changed to 30/3 and says this:
    29 mar 06....86 14....booking slot obtained....Apple Shanghai....30 mar 06
It'd be great if it did come tomorrow!
    Any ideas?

  • IPhoto Book Delivery times?

Does anyone know off hand what the average production/delivery time is to receive a book made from iPhoto? To be more specific, if I created one tonight (Mon Feb 9th) would I possibly receive it by Friday or Saturday? Do they have expedited shipping?

    Spez Guy
Welcome to the Apple user to user assistance forums
    see this Page - http://www.apple.com/support/photoservices/shipping_prices/
    and this one - http://www.apple.com/support/photoservices/shipping/
for shipping and production timing information
Yes there is expedited shipping - ordering tonight may make it iffy for receipt by Sat even with expedited shipping - the sooner you order the better the chance
I'm in California and my shipping has been great even using ground - but to guarantee it - not really

  • IPhoto Book Delivery Time

Can anyone tell me the average delivery time for an iPhoto book. I'm doing one for a class project that is due in one week. If I submit it now, will I receive it in time? I've never done a book before, so I have no idea.

You may get it on time. It took me about 6 days to receive mine. But Beware!! I proofread mine numerous times and previewed it in PDF format and there were numerous mistakes in the captioning.

  • What's the usual delivery time to the UK?

    Hi there,
I've had a few Apple photobooks but I can't remember how long they take. Can any recent UK customers advise me how likely it is that a book uploaded on Tuesday or Wednesday next week would make it to my address BEFORE the following Thursday (ie, by Tuesday 12th or Wednesday 13th)?
    Unlikely, I know. Just wondered...
    Cheers,
    Owen

  • Book delivery time...there is a Santa Claus!

Uploaded a 34 page hardcover book (3 copies) on Thursday, Dec. 18. Message indicated it could not be delivered before Christmas. Followed the tracking, the book was printed, FedExed, (cleared Canadian customs!), and at my door 3:30 pm Dec. 24. Thank you Santa/FedEx/Apple.
BTW, the images printed exactly as I hoped!

  • MRP - Auto creation of del schedule lines based on planned delivery time

    Hi,
We have activated MRP (type PD) where Purchase requiesition is auto created by system for requirement quantity. We require to optimize delivery schedule in such a way that entire PR quantity is broken into various delivery schedule based on planned delivery time and requirement.  Scenario can be further explained with following example.
Material Requirement for a month is say 1,25,000 units
    Closing Stock say 25,000 units
PR Generated by system for 1,00,000 units. The entire quantity is schdulled with only one delivery schedule line as per planned delivery time.
The requirement is to generate multiple delivery schedule lines automatically in Purchase requisition based on planned delivery time so that Purchase orders can be placed with system generated delivery schedule lines.
How can it be achieved ?
    Regards,
    Nirav Kinkhabwala

    Nirav,
This subject has been discussed repeatedly in this and other forums.  I must assume that you overlooked the rules of engagement, which state that you should first search the forums and other public sites, before posting questions here.
Standard SAP MRP cannot be made to generate multiple items in a Purchase requisition.  The functionality you seek is usually achieved when converting purchase reqs to Purchase orders, where many single purchase reqs can be adopted into a single Purchase order.
You also might want to investigate use of Vendor Scheduling agreements.
    Best Regards,
    DB49

  • Planned delivery time in Scheduling agreement and MRP

    Hello,
Do you know is it possible to determine system so that MRP run will consider the planned delivery time from the scheduling agreement line instead of material master? Now the system read planned delivery time from material master when creating schedule lines automatically by MRP-run.
    Regards, jaana

    This can be customized in
    SAP Customizing Implementation Guide
    -> Production
    --> Material Requirements Planning
    ---> Planning
    > Procurement Proposals
    > Define External Procurement
Here you can select the indicator "Scheduling according to purchasing info record or agreement" either at plant or MRP group level.

  • Planned delivery time issue

    Hello Experts,
    We have below requirement.
Created sales order for a particular material. Planned delivery time is picked from info record for that material and PR has been created.
We are converting PR into PO and the planned delivery time is fine. Now we are updating the ASN from vendor with some prior dates. In MD04, the same got updated. However the sales order still shows the old planned delivery time only. How to get the new planned delivery time  in the sales order based on the ASN updated in PO.
    Example:
    Material: A
Planned delivery time is 10 in info record
Created sales order. Planned delivery time in the sales order is 10. PR created with fixed vendor and planned delivery time is 10 days from the date of creation.
    Converted PO.
Now we received the ASN from Vendor that the vendor will deliver this material in five days. So accordingly we are updating the ASN in PO with delivery date.
In MD04, we could the new planned delivery time based on the ASN. However sales order delivery still shows the previouls delivery date only.
How to get the new delivery date in the sales order based on the ASN update?
    Regards
    Bala

This is not standard SAP logic. Required delivery date on the original line item stays as it was when you issued the order. Then you create a confirmation (ASN) that is relevant to MRP with the updated delivery date. Planning sees the new date and acts accordingly, and also in the order you can see both "old" and "new" (in the confirmation tab).

  • PO Delivery time

    Hi gurus,
Something really strange is going on, when I create manually a PO system should calculate the delivery time based on GR time + planned delivery time + values at vendor level or purchasing organization. I have neither of this values but the vendor delivery time so I want that system adds to todays date this number of days and take it as the planned delivery time, the problem is that system behavies really strange, here is an example of how is populating the dates:
Planned delivery time 5 days working days in calendar is only from monday to friday, lets say I put the order on March 10 which is thursday I spect delivery date on thursday 17 but system is saying Tuesday 15
I changed the pln del time to several values to see if there is any patron and I noticed that if I put 2 days system gives monday 14 (cos sat and sun) but if I put 3 day, it also say monday 14th, and if I put 4 days it also gives me monday 14, only when I go for 5 days then system says tuesday 15th, and this is valid with all the numbers I put as delivery time, looks like system is trying to match the last digit of my planned delivery time with the last digits of the day like 14 with the 24th
I know this sounds silly but it's what I am facing, any ideas or does someone have seen something like this before.?
I have checked and this happens for all my materials

Saturday and sunday are holiday for you, but not for the transporter.
if goods have been despatched on   friday, they will move on sat and sun as well and reach on time i.e after 5 days.  i.e. 15th.
the basic concept being that goods(transporter)  will travel/move  on your holidays as well.
    FYI
Delivery date calculation takes into consideration :
    1) Purchasing processing time in the Plant parameters in the customization and is calculated based on the Factory calendar days.
    2) Planned delivery time maintained in material master  and is calculated based on Normal calendar days
3)GR Processing time Maintained in Material master record, calculated based on Factory calender.

  • URGENT-Plnned delivery time in schedule

    Hi gurus,
I have maintained the planned delivery time in material master for which there is a schedule agreement. I have source list and quota for the same too.
But the planned delivery time has no effect on the schedules created and schedule lines are created on same day as of required day.
Suppose if required date is 10.04.08 and I have given planned delivery time as 5 then schedules must create on 05.04.08, Which I am not getting.
Pls help me out as soon Possible if I have missed any Configaration or does it has no effect in Schedule agreement?
    Regards
    Shashi

    Hi,
Have you added the planned delivery time to the material master after creating the scheduling agreement?
If so, then this data is not copied to the scheduling agreement. You have to make the entry manually in the scheudling agreement. Also, creation of the delivery schedules does not get affected by the planned delivery time. The delivery scheduls should get generated as soon as the requirement is detected.
    Regards,
    Prashant

  • Automatic updation of planned delivery time in material master.

    Dear all,
Is it possible to update the Planned delivery time in the material master automatically by the system based on goods receipt date.
what customisation needs to be done.
    Regards,
    Dayanand

It is not dynamic field so you  can't retrive automatically.
