Hi Sunil,
I don't think there is any such book for BPC Financial Accounting. But you can look out for IFRS.
To gain Financial Knowledge you can learn SAP FI and then you can use that knowledge in SAP BPC Consolidation
which includes Finance part.

Can I have a different address book for each mail account?

I have several email accounts that I use with Thunderbird. When I create a new email and begin typing the address, it autocompletes based on my personal address book. I would like to know if I can have a different personal address book associated w/ each account.
For example, I have an account for work and an acount for personal use. Suppose I have two contacts: "Mark Smith" a friend & "Mark Jones" a colleague. If I type "M" in the adress field of my email I would like for only "Mark Smith" to appear if I am composing that email from my personal account and only "Mark Jones" to appear if I am composing that email from my work account.
I am running Thunderbird 31.3.0 on Ubuntu 14.10.

Logical System for Financial Accounting FI lacking; information systems

Hello,
we`ve got a problem with the creation of a SC. After the selection of a product (doesn`t matter if it`s a "free text", good or service), we got always the following Error:
"Logical System for Financial Accounting FI lacking; information systems"
I`ve already checked the attribute "ACS" in PPOMA_BBP and the RFC-Connections. Have anybody an idea, what i can do else or where i can get further information about this error (like System Log,...)?

Kindly check the following SPRO settings in your system
1. SPROSRM ServerTech Basic settings--Define backend system for Prod category. (Ensure that your category which you are using in your SC is defined here with source/target system)
2. SPROSRM ServerCross App Basic Settings--Define Objects in backend systems. (Ensure that Purch grp, prod category, source system, and PO details are maintained here)
3. SPROSRM ServerCross App Basic Settings--Define G/L account for prod category. (Ensure that your Prod category, Source system, Acct assgnmt categry and G/L account are maintained)

FI-AA Financial Accounting for investments.
The useful life is with us a "required field" what is strictly necessary for the calculation of depreciation values an entry.
When customizing I can not leave the field empty. The field needs a number greater than zero.
Is there the possibility of the "useful life" field with values not to fill.
If required, the field can still create user manually at / change the system be changed to a different lifetime value.

The extract from the movement ODS to the cube for one of the extractors is quite heavy as not only does it update the cube it also updates the period ODS - and creates up to 144 entries for every entry in the base ODS
You have to play around with parallel/serial and package sizes or up the memory and CPU processign power to deal with it
BW FI_AA is really very very heavy for this reason..
One record for a movement in R3 will generate
one record per currency type X say 2 (local and group) = 2
mulitplied by number of depreciation areas - say 4 = 8
multiplied by number of periods (say we are in period 1) - x 12 = 144 records!!!

Customizing financial accounting for SD

Hi there,
I'm customizing SD from scratch and don't know what to do in order to have accounts in G/L account master (company code) - table SKB1. I have assigned company code to Chart of accounts, but still SKB1 is empty. What else should I do?
BTW. what is status "productive" in financial accounting SPRO in "Set Company Code to Productive"?

Hi,
In SD account determination, lot of settings need to be done. You need to create G/L accounts for different type os postings (Revenue, Deduction, taxes....etc).
Assigne all these accounts to your chart of accounts.
Based on the type of posting you need to assign each of these to the combination in VKOA. You may go to this transaction code for more details.
Alternatively, you can search this forum for 'account determination', you will find lots of step-wise configuration details.

When I'm trying to assign CHN Chart of Depreciation to c.Code 0319 the below error message is giving by SAP Sytem. This Chart of Depreciation is already 4 C.codes are using.
Could you pleasea provide the detailed procedure...
Error Message is:
The result of the check of company code 0319 shows that important global parameters from Financial Accounting are missing for Asset Accounting.
One or more of the following fields are affected:
Currency
Chart of accounts
Fiscal year version
Input tax indicator for non-taxable transactions

The solution is in the error message itself i.e
Input tax indicator for non-taxable transactions
Firstly you have to create tax codes for non taxable transaction in TR Code FTXP for the respective company code.
Secondly you have to assign these tax codes to your company code in TR code OBCL and save
Then You can proceed and do the assignment of Chart of Depreciation to the Company code.
I think this will solve the problem.

Cannot see the tab for Financial Accounting in SPRO after Support Pack

We applied support pack level 21 for SAP_APPL and after the application of it (Still in the correction phase), the tab for Financial Accounting has disapered from SPRO. Has anyone faced a problem like this before?
Any pointers to the same will be very much appreciated.

hi Anirban,
basically it is something with the New G/L funcionality, you should have Financial Accounting (New) anyway, but can you do a authorization check? Right after you press F5 in SPRO, /nsu53 into the command line...

How to change a password for BPC account (admin)?

Hello Experts,
We need to periodically change domain user passwords for SOX Compliance. One of those accounts is the one used to install BPC. What is the proper procedure to do so?
My guess:
- Change account password.
- Change account password in Server Manager (would also change identity for all COM+).
- Restart server to clear cached credentials.
Is that the right approach or there are other steps specific for BPC? Is there SAP documented procedure?

Hello Akim,
You might also want to check SAP note 1163288. It mentions that you could also check Services and COM+ components after using server manager to update this account password (check the account column in order to confirm that it was correctly updated.

LIFO Valuation for two financial books Tax and Statistics

Dear Sir,
Please let me know if my following requirement is possible in SAP or not.
We would like to generate LIFO valuation for two financial books Tax and Statistics
Tax book begins from April to March and
Stat book begins from August to July.
We are able to execute LIFO valuation only for Statistic books, as our financial books are from Aug to July.
Also in LIFO configuration there is no setting for two fiscal year periods.
Please let me know if our requirement is feasible for not.

I assume that iBooks is limited in the same way that iTunes and the App store are. That is, you can only change the AppleID associated with a device once every 90 days.

So if you log out of the iBook store with her AppleID, and use yours, you will have to wait 90 days before she can use her AppleID with that same device again.
