Book marks bar disappeared suddenly

Hello,
I am using Safari 5.1 on OS 10.6.8 and suddenly while opening a new window the book marks bar disappeard. I restarted the system but it is not coming back. In the safari preferences, the options for bookmarks bar and menu are enabled and in spite of that I cannot see it.
Did any one have a similar problem or how can I debug it?

Sorry guys, false alarm. I must had some how pressed shift+command+B that removes bookmarks bar and there fore was unable to see it. Please ignore my question.

You may have been using the old Multirow Bookmarks extension in Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox, which wasn't updated for Firefox 4.0 and 5.0. This is a different version of that old extension, which adds a few new features.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

How can I get the book marks bar back to showing all bookmarks?

The recent changes to the bookmarks bar are really annoying.
Previously I could see all the bookmarks, even if they flowed onto two or three lines now I can only see one line and the rest are in a drop down. This makes it slower to access things that I go to on a regular basis.
Also, how do I hide the folders???!!! They take up so much room on the bookmarks bar. It was so much better before the last few upgrades.

My phone contact - phone book number - notifications disappear suddenly

i bought a q10 before 3 weeks ago , it was working perfectly, till 2 days ago, i was using the browser to check some pic's on Google, while i was browsing the internet stop, i closed it and tried to check my facebook, it couldn't even load, so i thought it from my net supplier, i restart my phone, and after it worked i check my facebook, but it was too slow, then i went throw my browser it was to slow to, i went in to my phone book in here was the suppress, that it never showed any calls, it just showed (no recent calls), then i tried to access my contacts, it also gave me (add accounts),
in the same time i lost my emails which my connected to the phone too,
now when i make a fone call it doesn't show it in the phone book
when some one make for me a miscall it doesn't show to
it doesn't save a contact
it doesn't notify me in any notification(bbm,msg,wassup..etc)
can't browser vedio, pics anything from browser or facebook in the time that my internet plane is still working perfectly
i lost all my contacts and linked contacts
can't even link my emails anymore
i which find for my the solution because my life ill get scrow if i didn't get my contact back

Cant edit book mark bar

Went to edit a few of my bookmarks in the bookmark bar but for some reason i cant seem to access anywhere to edit them or re-arrange them.

you can edit/move them direct from the bookmark bar - by dragging them to different places/orders and by ctrl/right clicking & choosing 'edit name' etc etc.
In your screenshot - see the three horizontal lines that form a handle at the bottom/centre ? - Click & drag that upwards, then you should see the individual bookmarks rather than the huge preview.
But... there should, even in that large view, be a scroll bar just above that 'handle', to umm, scroll through the bookmarks you have - so I winder if there's more going on here.
Do you see the same thing in a new user account? If not, first try trashing the file : home/library/preferences/com.apple.safari.plist for your regular account.

I accidently unmarked the book marks tool bar, the tool bar and the menu bar how do i get them back ?becaus now only the tabs are visible and i cant access my features or book marks

i was getting to know my firefox so i accidentally unmarked the menu bar the book marks tool bar and the tool bar. so now only my tabs are visible and i cant get to any of my add-ons or extensions.
and even surfing the net has become difficult cause there is almost nothing i can do with a new empty tab.
how can i get these bars back. i tried taking the cursor up to the thin line above the tabs and the window border but the menu to mark the above mentioned features does not appear any more.
i tried restarting firefox several times but it didn't work. i even uninstalled and completely downloaded a new version of firefox and installed it but the problem still persists.
i am operations system is windows XP.

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.
Hit the '''Alt''' key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark. 
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

Found some instructions but they called for using keys my computer doesn't have ( key in OSX There is no file, edit , history, help, tools, navigation, all the things your directions say to use. Also I always get hung up and the message a scrip is running. I don't know what thises scrips are but I sure don't need them.

I would like very much to turn it on in the Laptop I just bought and am having a fit trying to figure out all the differences,.I very much like this function; however, I am now using win 7 which in and of itself is difficult to figure out troubles when they occur such as if the MSN Bing program opens a video window while I am playing, the media center will lock up, or if I am listening to BBradio.org and click on lestening to one of the pastors the laptop will show static on the screen and all you hear is static like you just went to the twilight zone.

How can i set the book marks below the address bar like IE9

Dear Sir, I am a new user for firefox, now i am using firefox 4.0 beta version. In this how can is place book marks in below the address bar like IE8 OR IE9

In Firefox 4 you can press F10 or use "Firefox > Customize" to make the Menu Bar and other toolbars visible and remove the check-mark on "Tabs on Top" to place the tab bar in the old position.
You only see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.

Why some book marks open in side bar window and some don't, I want to turn it off

Book marker side bar opens with some book markers. I want all to open in a new tab, full screen.

For the bookmarks that open in the sidebar, right-click on the bookmark and select Properties. De-select the option "Load this bookmark in the sidebar"

There used to be a folder called "From Firefox" I had quite a lot of bookmarks in it. That folder has disappeared, taking all those book marks with it. Why?

Using Windows XP. This afternoon that folder existed. I went online a few minutes ago and it is gone. I went through the Backup and Restore process but most of those book marks are very recent. The forty or fifty I lost weren't restore-able. No idea why this sudden drastic change.

I discovered that the folder had been moved inside the folder named "From Internet Explorer". I believe this is because at one time I moved a folder from that one to the Mozilla folder. Apparently some sort of maintenance activity decided to relocate the folder.

If you went to Full screen mode then it's hidden at the top. Move your cursor to the top of the screen and it will appear. You can click the arrows on the very right to exit full screen mode.

I had a folder that was a part of firefox in the book marks are called Recently Bookmarked. It has now disappeared and i would like to know how to get it back?

This folder was not one I created, but it appeared to be a part of the bookmark area. It save all recently saved book marks and was called "Recently Bookmarked". I used this feature last night and this morning when I went to use fire fox, it is gone.
I tried restarting Firefox and it still has not fixed the problem. My question is, How do I get this feature back or how do I create a folder where everything I book mark goes into the folder until I can sort the book marks into the proper folders? thank you for your help

I have safari in my iPad but bookmark is not working. I can not book mark any things. How do I get back my bookmark working so that I can open the web page I have already booked marked. Thank you for your answer

The safari bookmark was working yesterday. Today book mark is not working. I can not book mark anything.
Did I do anything to prevent stopping bookmark to store? Please help me how to get back working my bookmark. Thank you.

See if this works.
Quit the Safari app completely and reboot the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
