Book Module-Export saved book from collections--Book is not there?

LR6. I have been working on a book and had to travel and wanted to finish the book while on the road. I saved the book which put it in the collection I was working on. Exported the collection onto a portable disk. However, when I loaded it on my laptop, the book is not there????? The images are there, but NO BOOK. Do I have to start over.

Are we looking at printed or screen proofs here?
Not that I have an answer for you but sharpening might not be visible on screen if that is what you are comparing. Sharpening for print should differ for print processes from sharpening for screen. The 'print' sharpening, presumably for inkjet although it should be for offset, will be related to final image size, so viewing on screen at a potentially different size and resolution might be obscuring what would occur in a printing process.
I can't verify since I am still using LR3.6.

Exporting build - destination devices radio buttons are not there

I created an ios project using flash builder 4.5. but when i go to export a final build the target device radio buttons are not there on the interface. it has to be an installation issue but i've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with no success. has anyone else had this issue?

Export file list from collection/subfolder in collection window

i would find it very helpful to be able to export the file names of files contained in one a collection as a .txt or similar list. there are scripts and complicated things to do this out of folders, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do this with collections.
i might for example have a project, that includes a collection of images and renaming files differently for final output. while i'm working on the project im fine with having the collection in the collection tab. but when i'm done, i want to get rid of it, since i don't want the collection tab clogged with old collections from finished projects. but with the finished project in my archive (images renamed for output) i still want a list with the original filenames - otherwise it will be hard to find the original in the future. at the moment i am attaching screenshots of the collection before i delete it, but that only really works up to about 100 images. and of course the screenshot is not searchable.
or a client organises image selection in a collection and has to send me the files list. at the moment they have to type it all up.
this feature shouldn't be hard to program i guess, but would make things a lot easier.
also the possibility to organise the collections in subfolders (in the collections tab) would be great.

Ordinary Collections are just text files and can be found:-

SSRS exporting to excel from Report Viewer is not respecting boolean critera

Symptom:
What's happening is that we are selecting a
set of criteria eg: start date, drop down filter and a bit field.
After running the report against this criteria it comes up in the report viewer with the correct results.
However after we export the current results to Excel the results in Excel are different because it seems
that exporting
re-ran the report without the selected bit field when SSRS should have taken the current run and converted it. This isn't happening on all bit fields either
which is the oddest part. However all of the bit parameters are setup the same in the RDL.
We're Loading the report into and rendering it in the Report Viewer control and then leveraging the Report Viewer's Render Routine to export on a button click.

Problem with OWB export ext table from dev to prod not the same

in dev the OWBUNESED# does not exist it is rather the name of the field between double quote as they are in the first part of the script.
Why is that?, cause when I change the script in the database then my tables are accessing the data correctly. What caused this difference. Am I using the wrong method to deploy in Production?

Yes I did check the box for dependencies, you must note that I have something like 20 file definitons hence external tables and only 5 or 6 that had the problem, solving it by hand, still wandering what went wrong.

Instruments from jam packs are not there after new install

hi,
i ve been using all jam packs instruments in my GB2 last year on my imac
without any problems. i have them all at my external FW drive since then, and never at my internal. ( i usually dont use "loops" at all, i prefer instruments )
so, i installed new 10.4.4. on my new pb. starting GB2 i cannot see any instruments in my instrument list except the basic GB2 which are shipped.
i am missing , just for example "House Remix Drum set". so i drag it from the external onto the loop window. (the whole GB folder) it takes 5 or 10min and then its finished adding. but they are not in the window. and its also missing when i open a song from 2004 and 2005. it says "cannot find House Remix Drums" for example.

Similar problem but browser would run for 5 minutes and then freeze. only done this since 3.6.6 update. Then i checked everything could think off and found 2 firefoxs running task manager so i ended the one that was frozen, works perfect. Maybe when firefox updated it did not remove the older version. I need to download the photoshop and lightroom plan before going back to university to get started on some things, but it won't let me because it is 'not available in your region (Barbados)'. I have changed the region option at the bottom to the UK, but it doesn't make a difference. How do I tell it I'm from the UK? If I purchase it by phone will that work?

If you are normally resident in the UK you need to set up your Adobe ID with UK as the country. I've made a change in our system so please go ahead and create a new Adobe ID with UK as the country using the same email address. You should then be able to sign up.

Dropped my phone down the toilet and everything works fine still apart from the WIFI is not there.

I recently dropped my White Iphone 4s down a toilet on a night out!!!
I quickly picked it up and took it home and dryed in off and placed it in a bowl of rice and a few days later everything was fine and working just like normal apart from some water under the screen.
Also the Wi-Fi option on my iphone just isn't displayed and greyed out.
I have also recently updated the software on the phone to the new 5.1.1 which i have seen there has been problems with about the wi-fi dropping and not being displayed.

Not sure there is a direct way to export. But since you can grab the SQL statement from what you created from Query Builder, you then can use that to run in other systems, or you can create a new SQL script from it. Using SQL script allows you to export/import.

Export is not exporting the data from Page. It always gets the data from VO

I have got a critical issue, where I am Not able to export the current data from the page.
I have an export button and the VO is attached to it.
1) My page will execute the VO and I do some calculations to remove some rows, add the grand total etc.
2) The export button just re-executes the query and exports, which is not that, I want. I would like to export the current contents of the VO, which I manipulate and it is shown on the page.
To give an example -
My VO query is executed, when I click the Report button. I then adds Grand Total row to the VO and it gets displayed on the Page also.
Now, when I click the export button, it just exports the data which is coming from the VO SQL query, whereas I want the data from current state of VO i.e. with the grand total, which I added and is coming on the page also.
I will be really grateful, if someone can help me with this as it is really urgent.

Is the export to csv opening fine with the data showing in individual columns when opening from internet explorer. What version of IE are you using? For us the export works fine from Firefox but does not work well in IE. From IE, the data shows with the commas in a single string. Appreciate your response as it will help us understand if our issue is local to our environment.

Why does saving down from Illustrator 6 to older version sometimes not work?

We have some users with CS6 and some with CS3 and 4, when a user tries to open an illustrator file from CS3 and 4 saved down from CS6 it will not open. some files will open but most won't.

Try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it functions properly in that configuration, then one of your add-ons is the culprit.

Book Module: exporting from Lightroom as a 2 page spread

Hello Lightroom people,
I have begun to create my albums in the lightroom book module, and I am about 85% happy with it. I have one major complaint, and I'm wondering if it can be corrected:
My album company wants me to submit my album pages as two page jepg spreads. For example, if I am making a 10" x 10" book, rather then submitting pages 1 and 2 as two 10" x 10" jpegs, they require a single, 10" x 20" jpeg that is then printed as pages 1 and 2.
When I export from lightroom, it exports instead as single pages (to use the example from about, two 10" x 10" jpegs for pages 1 and 2). I've noticed that if I design a 2 page spread--then it will export that the way I want it, but obviously no album can have all 2 page spreads.
My work around for this is to import the jpegs in photoshop and lay the pages together the way my album company likes, but this is somewhat time consuming.
Is there a setting in the book module I am missing that could correct this?

If I must export images and use outside software to finish the job (InDesign or otherwise) I may as well give up Lightroom as a "workflow solution" ... I could get the same job done working with Bridge/ACR/Ps workflow ... however ... I bought into the paradigm of Lr being the answer for RAW processing to output workflow ... though Adobe seems to pick and choose which features they really care about ... If Adobe is going to include a Book module, and expect me to financially support the effort ... they could at least offer a module that is functional without being tied to a single vendor ...

The digitization of data has introduced a complexity to our interactions with it that we continue to struggle with. "Picture" and "Photo" now mean different things in different contexts. You record a set of instantaneous data with a camera.
That data is processed by your camera and saved to a file.
The file format is usually either RAW or JPG.
You transfer those files to your computer, and you import them into the program Aperture (often in one operation).
From each camera-file imported, Aperture creates a record in its database (called, imho unhelpfully, a Library) and an Image that you see in the Aperture Browser and Viewer.
Aperture links the Image and the imported file.
The imported file is called, within Aperture, an Original.
Every Image has an Original.
The Image is not the Original. The Image is what you see in Aperture.
The Original is a file that is stored on your computer.
You can make changes to an Image.
Aperture calls these changes Adjustments.
Adjustments are saved to another file attached to the record in the database. Let's call this file the Changes File.
Aperture uses these two files attached to the record in the database to create the Image.
Image = Original + Changes File.
The Image is not a file.
Because the Image is not a file, it cannot be shared with other programs. It exists only inside of Aperture.
In order to share an Image with another program, you must first create a file of the Image.
You do this by exporting Images ("File ▹ Export ▹ Version" is the command in Aperture; should be, imho, "File ▹ Export ▹ Image").
You may ask, "Why all the complexity? Why doesn't Aperture save Images as files?" The answer is simple: Images can require less — and in many cases very very much less — storage space than files of Images. Rather than save a full-size file for every Image, Aperture saves only instructions on how to make that full-size file. The gain in storage efficiency is huge. The trade-off is that although your Images are always available to be made into share-able files, you must create those files when needed (which you do by exporting selected Images).

No, there is not. Images exist only in Aperture, and are not accessible for use in other programs. You must create, for each Image in your Aperture Library, a new file outside of your Aperture Library in order to use it with another program.
Aperture does allow you to create and save within your Library share-able files of your Images. These files are called Previews. You specify the file parameters in Aperture Preferences on the Previews tab. These files are available to other programs via the OS X Media Browser. These files are what you get when you drag selected Images out of the Aperture program and drop them on another program or on your desktop (which is part of the Finder).
