Book Nook Tablet

I can not get by book nook tablet to show up on the adobe home page to download library books.  I made some changes to my tablet registration and downloaded the updated adobe.  I have the same e-mail address for both the tablet and adobe registrations.

Could you provide more information about your system configuration?  Do you actually have a Nook tablet that is running the Android operating system or a Windows 8 tablet with the Nook Windows Store app?  Neither one of them seems related to this forum for Adobe Reader for Windows 8 Tablets, though.

  • Password for Nook Tablet

I have a Cisco/Linksys home router- got it for my laptop which is not working right now...anyway we purchased a Nook Tablet for our daughter which needs to connect to wifi- but when I go through set-up on the Nook, it says I need my 'wireless password'! So I type in my 'usual password' and it disconnects and says it's the "wrong password"....
    Update:
‎....So, today I called Cisco/Linksys support and the gal w/ the heavy accent tells me that to give me my current password OR to reset it so I may use it (my own router) I have to pay her $29.99 for a "one time tech support fee"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????
So, I say 'well my router's not broken and there's NO problem w/ it...it's just that Century Link installed it for us and they don't support it or even know what the password is!? For the laptop it just connected right away and I didn't have to type any password!!
So now I'm stuck between the terrible and UNFAIR policies of two greedy corporations!
Century Link can't help me and Cisco- which can wants to charge me 30 bucks just to TELL ME THE PASSWORD THAT CAME W/ MY ROUTER!

"I would like to understand what password you are using. What is your router model? What security are you implementing on your network? Login to your routers admin page and check under wireless->wireless security."
"password and connection issues are usually easy fix. answer Reuel's questions"
"Hey Reuel, where is my "router's admin page"? I'm running AVG Security. My laptop that does not 'work' ( I believe the charger quit charging, so the battery's dead) is why I had Centurylink install it. I don't recall ever having to 'login' via a password, just had to turn on the router and all was good.
I use the same password basically for everything w/ just minor variations but none of those worked according to the results on the new tablet?!"

  • How to connect iphone 4s to nook tablet

Where can I get a cable to hook an iPhone 4s to a nook tablet?

    For what?
If there is such a cable, you wouldn't be able to do anything such as transferring data.
I believe the only cable connection for a NOOK is for charging the battery.

  • Please help: Nook Tablet app development with AIR/Flash CS5.5?

    Hello,
I developed my first-ever iOS app using Flash CS5.5 (the app has stability issues, addressed in a separate thread).  Next on the list is Android deployment.
Can anyone indicate if Flash CS5.5 can be used to develop Android apps for the Nook Tablet?  My problem is that the Android-based guidance I've read tells you to take your Android device and configure it for "USB Debugging."  The Nook Tablet has no such setting, unlike many other Android phones and tablets.  Basically, I need current step-by-step guidance on Android development, plus any guidance on anything different that needs to be done for the Nook Tablet.  Thank you for any advice.

Hi, I can confirm that you can develop apps for the NOOK color and tablet. You must use Air 2.6 since the device is pre loaded with that version of air.
Some devices dont support USB debugging, like my kindle fire however a more painful way of doing it is to publish out an apk and then manually load it on to your device either through a file manager of some sort or by emailing yourself the file and then installing it. Be sure to enable your device to accept unknown source files.
I recently published a couple of apps to the NOOK store that I had only tested on an HTC phone and the kindle fire and they both passed the test so I believe the NOOK seems to behave very similar to most android devices and the kindle fire, same dimensions at least as the KF.

  • Outgoing mail on Nook Tablet issues

My wife's new Nook tablet receives emails through the nook email app fine but she cannot send. We have Yahoo Verizon and I've tried port 25, 587 and one other I spotted in another post. Just get a Connection Error.  Also her deleted mails just sit in her Trash.
Any ideas? I can't find another Nook Tablet mention.
    Thanks

  • Help unlocking book on tablet.

Why can't I unlock a book that's a Reader file, on my tablet? I can't type within the username/password box to unlock it. It works just fine when I access it from my PC. On my tablet however, the fields don't behave like form fields but rather as non-interactive images on the page.

    Hi,
Could you please forward the pdf file to us at [email protected] so that we may investigate? Also, please note that Adobe Reader mobile products do not support PDF documents that use third-party DRM technology, such as "ProtectedPDF" by Vitrium.

  • ADE Does Not Recognize My NOOK Tablet

I have searched the forum for answers, but so far no one seems to have the same problem I am experiencing. I have been using a Win 7 PC to download EPUB books from my local library for nearly two years with no problems. Seemingly overnight ADE no longer recognizes my NOOK. I have tried rebooting the PC, uninstalling/reinstalling both ADE 1.7.2 and 2.0 (I am now back to 1.7.2 after seeing other posts re: 2.0). I have unauthorized and reauthorized ADE, and it still does not recognize my NOOK when it is plugged in. The cord/connection seem to be fine; I can see the NOOK in Explorer, but not with ADE. I have also deleted the ".adobe-digital-editions" and "digital editions" folders on the root of the NOOK's drive to initiate the download process. No luck so far; does anyone have any ideas on next steps? Thank you

With Sony ereaders you must have some extra Sony software.
If you don't, you get exactly what you see; the device is seen in Explorer but not in ADE.
I don't know if there is anything similar with the Nook, but I mention it just in case.
    In the case of the Sony, the extra software is installed with Sony Reader software;
but you don't have to run the Sony Reader for the extra software to have its effect on ADE.
If for some odd reason you can't get the Nook recognized,
you should still be able to borrow books as usual and download the file using ADE,
and then transfer the .epub file to the Nook using Explorer.
As long as the Nook is still authorized with your ID, you will be able to read the books on the Nook.
A bit more of a faff than direct ADE transfer, but not too inconvenient.

  • How do I get Firefox on my Nook Tablet? I can't find "applications" in the tools as the Amazon download tells me to look for for a Kindle download. Somehow I managed to turn on Java but I can't even figure out how I found that anymore??

I'm not very tech savy and this Nook is new to me.

    Hi,
I'm sorry you're having this problem.

Unfortunately, you have to make some 'tech savvy' modifications in order to get Firefox on your Nook.

  • WLC ACL blocks internet only on Nook tablet

Win7 laptops work fine. Nook gets IP but No internet.  ACL is on the Controller and even if I remove all rules and permit any/any, still no internet on Nook.  If I take ACL off, Nook gets internet.  I have googled this & can’t find anything.  Anyone ever come across this?  4404 running 1142 APs.

  • Niche publisher that wants to publish pocket books to Tablet and Smart Phone Device

I am a niche publisher (partime), we have 5 books published updates every year, 3 book will contain 350+ pages, 2 others 128 pages.
Currently they are Colour Cover with Black and white text(will turn to colour when published digitally).
I have published one via an Epub APP both on Itunes and Android, but this has not worked epub destroyed
the layout and the reall function of these pocket books as Reference with the illustration to text.
I have looked at other vendor to use a supplyed solution, but they only cater for the Magazine that has X pages a month, or has xxx downloads a month. Expensive and time consuming.
I Know I will not make a huge amount of money on either at the moment, but the costs to Run ADP.
Single edition one off cost £345.00  ....... but does that mean exactly that. I can only publish once and be damed!!! ?
so if I want to publish 3 books it would be 3 x 345.00?
Or do I have to pay £300 a month to publish more then one publication. ( I don't earn that from the book sales).
Some months I would be paying for nothing.
Can someone advise which is the best way to approach this!
Adobe Digital Pubishing is this really the correct solution or is there another ways?
PS --- I am not an APP programmer.
    Regards
    JH

Single edition is exactly that. Once and done.
There is no monthly cost and no download fees besides the Apple 30% commission.
I warn you however that Apple has been known to reject books as apps so you’d be well advised to consider this carefully before proceeding and make sure to have significant interactivity.
