Book of Business-Tagging Users to Book

Hi all,
I have a requirement like restricting set of users to view only active accounts while other users can see all the accounts.I implemented Book of Business concept for the same.I added all active accounts in a book.It is working fine. But the issue here is ,the set of users who can see all the records are less than the users who can see only active records.Since users can only be manually added under book, this process is a tedious one.Could anyone please suggest some best method to implement the same.
Thanks in advance,
Ashan.

Hi Bobb,
Thanks for your reply. But could you explian me how to add users to a book through web services?
I am new to this concept.Kindly explain.
Thanks in Advance,
Ashan.

  • SQL to retrieve business areas, users and their reports?

    Hi,
I've been able to retrieve by sql, users and their reports or business areas and thier users, but I'm unable to retrieve business areas, users and reports in the same sql.
I've been looking in eul tables without success. I guess someone has already done that?
    Thanks

    Hello
The problem you have is that you are trying to mix objects that don't go together.
As you have already determined, you can have a script to query users who have access to business areas, and you can also  have a script to query users who have access to or own reports. However there is no link between business areas and reports.
Discoverer reports are validated against folders, not business areas. If a report uses 2 folders and there are 10 business areas that contain those folders which business area do you think the report was written against? The answer is none of them. You just happened to have a business area open at the time the report was written but truthfully you could have used any of them. Therefore, if a user reopens a workbook that uses folders found in multiple business areas, Discoverer will default to the first business area by name that contains all of the folders used and that the user has been granted access to.
    Hope this helps
    Best wishes
    Michael

  • SAP Business One User licenses

I am developing an addon for B1 and I would like to have the addon check the number of SAP Business One user licenses avaialble. The puspose is to enforce licensing mechanism for the addon. Is there any way I can get to that number using the DI API or somewhere in the SBOCommon database?
This is a big issue for us. I would appreciate any help in this issue.
    Thanks
    Gopal

C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One ServerTools\License\B1LicenseFile.txt could perhaps be used...
Also most of the time the number of user for the system often are the same as the licenses, but of cause you can make a dummy user that have not got a license
Sorry. My mistake... that can only be done in a single machine system

  • How do I transfer website from one business catalyst user to another?

Our Company website is currently being hosted on our web designers business catalyst in one of his 5 free slots. We want to transfer it to our own business catalyst so we can upgrade it to web marketing and maintain it ourselves. How do I do this? Thanks in advance!

If you are a paid partner contact support and they can guide you through the steps to transfer a site. If you are a free partner then there is no way to switch sites from one user to another, as sites cannot be transfered to a free partners. However, you could transfer all of the files over and re-launch your website. Would take a little bit of work but is doable.

  • Windows Small Business Server User Roles - Missing or deleted

    I have a small business server sbs 2008 r2.
The user roles, Standard, Administrator, Standard w/ admin are no longer available. I don't know why, or how. All I can guess is the previous IT admin, removed the roles, without permission.
I am wondering is there a way to simply get them back?

As Robert says, You can create them manually.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc794287(v=ws.10).aspx
    KnowHow :
Behind the scenes, each User Role is created as a disabled user account in Active Directory, and these accounts are used as “Templates” for user creation. To view these, open Active Directory Users and Computers (from the
Administrative Tools start menu folder, or through Start à Type “dsa.msc” and press enter. Drill down to the SBSUsers folder under “<yourdomain>\MyBusiness\Users\” and you’ll see several disabled user accounts listed.

Using "@" in a password for a DB User is not supported at all (allthough it works).
I did so myself once and I think it was possible to get a connection utilize quotes,
but I do not remember which ones in what way.
    Could have been like
    sqlplus "sapsr3/admin@1234"
but not very sure any more.
My be toy around with this, but more easy is to use brtools and change the
password to contain only valid oracle letters.
The problem with "@" is, that it delimits the SQLNET Connect identifier.
    Volker
Oh, and for executing brtools, do not provide a user at all or only "-u /"
This should do a sysdba connect.

  • CRM business role - user mapping initial load

    Hi,
I'm tyring to initial load the data from the CRM systems into IDM. I'm able to get all data of the users expect their business role mapping(parameter in CRM).
in the read pass of the user from the abap initial load , the attribute for the parameter is as follows,
                        Target                                                                             Source
    sap%$rep.$NAME%Parameter1:Info:VARCHAR:255|                        parameter1
but no data is stored in the parameter1 table though the user has some parameter mapped in the CRM system
Can anyone plz help to load this user-business role mapping details.
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Pricy

    Hello Pricy,
can you just give me some hints on what you are trying to do exactly?
    My assumptions:
    - CRM business role is stored as user parameter in ABAP SU01 user data, right?
    - you want to read all the ABAP user data from your CRM system INCLUDING the user parameter data from ABAP SU01 user data, right?
If that is the case at least the loading part should work pretty fine. I just tried this on my local system and had no issues, all user parameters of my existing ABAP users where loaded into one temporary table.
    -> Pass: ReadABAPUsers -> table "sap%$rep.$NAME%Parameter1:Info:VARCHAR:255|"
Did you find this temp table created on your database correctly? My table is there and is called "sapT01_001Parameter1" (where my repository is named T01_001) and it contains all the existing user parameters.
    What exactly is your issue?
    Regards,
    René

  • Business partner - user ID relationship

    Hi experts,
When I have a business partner number (e.g. from a requester or goods recipient) how can I derive the user ID? Is the a table or a function module that will help me?

  • Business Partner User ID

    Hi,
Someone can please let me know where the business Partner (Employee) is linked to the User ID (SAP) . I am not asking about the screen where it shows the user Id , but i am asking about the DB table & the logic how this partner is linked to the user Id & from where the value in the screen is populated .
    Thanks ,
    Md Kashim Raja

    Hello Kashim
The relationship of BP(Employee) to Username is as follows:
    Tcode: SE16 , In Table HRP1000
    Field OTYPE = CP
Field UNAME = Provide Employee username (Should be maintained in Tcode BP, Role= Employee in tab identification)
    You'll get OBJID.
Use the OBJID from above in table HRP1001.
    OTYPE = CP
    OBJID = OBJID (from HRP1000)
    RELAT = 207
You'll get the BP number in field SOBID.
    I hope this helps.
(Note: We have HR integration with CRM)
use FM BP_CENTRALPERSON_GET to get BP from USERName and vice versa.

  • Business One user license and connected users

Where in Business One, either application or SQL database, can I see all the license assignments for all the companies? If a user exists in one company but not another I have to search through both (or multiple) companies to see who has what type of license. License assignment spans companies, right? So is there a table in SBO-Common where this info is stored?
Also, where can I see current users logged in to what companies? Is a value set in the company database in ousr or someplace else.
    TIA
    -Cindy Lange

    Hello Cindy,
There is no specific table to see the license assignment either in common database or not. you could consider to use this path :
    C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One ServerTools\License\B1Upf.xml
to see the current user logged in to a certain company.
    Rgds,

  • Business catalyst user registration

How does one setup (is it even possible) to set up two factor user registration in Business Catalyst.
i.e. The users registers and is sent an email with a link to validate that the user is using a valid email address.

    Should not be the case.
The Email is the primary identify, if you are using the proper email field and not a custom field BC will only add the form data to a single CRM entry. You wont find there are multiple customers in the CRM with the same email.
A user can always fill in the same form, and new cases attached to them. There is no system email check on the field itself at this time. You just need to design how your site and registration flow works so people know not to keep registering.

  • Do you have HP 30b Business Professional user guide in Portuguese?

Hello HP Support Team, how are you?
I want to get the User Guide for the product with the HP Part Number NW238-90001 in PORTUGUESE. I only found it in English at http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02651527.pdf.
Basically, the HP 30b Business Professional calculator was purchased via internet from Livrarias Curitiba (http://www.livrariascuritiba.com.br/), but it didn't come with the manual. Then, we already contacted them, however, they have never answered us back.
The order number is 10853564, so I would like you to help us to resolve this bad situation.

    Hi,
I have found the 20b guide in Portuguese:
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03057321.pdf
The 30b is very similar to the 20b and the English manual you reference is for both the 20b & 30b - use the english manual to see the extra parts for the 30b e.g. programming and Black-Scholes.
Please note this forum is not an official HP support page, at is only a forum where mostly users help each other.
For official HP support in your country, please see the contact numbers at the end of the manual or try the support pages of your country (e.g. for Brasil: http://www8.hp.com/br/pt/contact-hp/support.html ).
    Best regards.
Note: I do not work for HP, I just like playing with calculators :-)
