Book upload fails
The book assembles, but then the upload to the store for printing fails at end. I have reinstalled the app, same thing. And of course that's after about a 20 minute upload.
Try one of these possible solutions:
A:
Here's a fix that worked for some users:
Make sure this checkbox is checked in the System/Sharing preference pane:
If it is, uncheck it and then recheck and try ordering again.
B:
Quit iPhoto.
From the Finder menu bar, choose Go > Utilities to access your Utilities folder (or press Shift-Command-U).
In your Utilities folder, open Keychain Access.
Find the "NetServices" entry in your Keychain Access window.
Select the "NetServices" entry and press the delete key.
Reopen iPhoto and attempt to place your order again.
You should be prompted to enter your account information if you deleted the Keychain entry successfully.
After entering your account information, you should be able to complete your order.

Hi Guys, Im trying to send a 80pages IPhoto book to the store but the uploading fails, I tried several times and always a message "an error occurred" without clarification, can you help me?
Is there any size limit? or a limit of time to upload? (as it takes more than one hour!!!)Preview the book -
Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.
if it is good boot into safe mode, preview again (only limited fonts are loaded in safe mode) and upload
LN -
Can anyone help with the Photo Book process? I have tried at least a dozen times and the Photo Book always fails at the very last stage of the process. I ordered Buy Book, it assembles the book and files are transferred until the very last moment... it says " An error occurred while uoloading one of your files. Please check your network connection and click Retry to resend your files." It fails every time, any advice? My server is TalkTalk which may explain everything !! ?? Help.
Boot into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, and order from there.
Also make a PDF file of your book according to this Apple Document, iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it, before you order to check for errors. Keep that file to compare with the printed copy when it arrives.
OT -
What do I do if upload fails for my photobook? now frozen - have hit retry, started then failed again, now whole system seems frozen - won't cancel, can't close computer as it says close iphoto first and can't close iphoto. Never had a problem with another type of photobook
Force quit, launch iPhoto and preview your book to be sure it is ok and correct as the printed book will exactly match the preview - if it still will not upload then boot into Safe mode, preview again (safe mode has less fonts so things might change) and if it is good order while in safe mode

Book Purchase Failed, Charged Anyway
Was making a book.
Went to buy it. All seemed to go well. It made the book, then started connecting, then gave an error about my form of payment. Something like "could not verify credit card" or similar.
I tried it again twice, re-entering my details, etc. Still no luck. I go to iTunes and notice my details aren't verified, so I re-enter the info and it fails.
I went to check my bank account and during the process, I've been charged about the cost of the book for some reason, despite being given repeated error messages that the purchase could not be made.
What is going on? Where has my money gone, has the book uploaded? This is extremely irritating.Bottom right of every window on this website: see the Contact Us link? You need to talk to Apple about this so I'd start there.

Hi All,
upload failed your changes were saved but could not be uploaded because of an error. you may be able to upload this file using server web page. save a copy button.
This is the issue which I am facing while working with SharePoint 2010. In a sharePoint 2010 document library I am having an excel file and I am trying to open it from Windows 7 and is office 2010.
I cam e across few suggestion as mentined below but unable to find the location where to do
Go to Resource Policies > Web >
Rewriting > Custom Headers > (if 'Custom Headers' is not visible, click
Customize on the right top to enable the view).
Create a new policy with the Resource as <fully qualified domain name of the SharePoint server:*/*> (for example https://sharepoint.juniper.net:*/* ).
Create the action as Allow Custom Headers.
Apply the settings to the required roles.
Please suggest.Hi rkarteek
All things you have to do is as follows:
1. Open regedit.exe
2. Naviagate to following key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\Internet]
3. Click Edit Menu -> New -> DWORD with name of "FSSHTTPOff"
(without quotes)
4. Click on "FSSHTTPOff" and enter value of 1
5.
Close any Office Applications and browser sessions
6. Try to reopen your document (no more read only or failure to upload)
have a nice day! -
ADFDi Excel upload failed in a new session
ADFDi Excel upload failed when a change was made in a locally saved ADFDi Excel file. This should be a very common disconnected scenario. I must miss something. Here are high-level steps that I have done.
1. Open a ADFDi Excel from a ADF page.
2. Download data to Excel
3. Modify a row in ADF table component in the Excel, then save the Excel file locally. (If I clicked the 'Save' button instead of saving the file locally, the change was uploaded to the server correctly).
4. Open the locally saved Excel, and accept the option to connect to the server and login. A new session should be created in the ADF web application.
5. Click 'No' in the popup window of "Do you want to discard the pending change?"
6. The 'changed' indicator is shown on the changed row in the Excel. Click 'Save' button, which has two actions - Upsync and ADFTable.upload
7. On the server, a 'Row not found' exception is thrown from DCJboDataControl.setCurrentRowInRSI(). In this method, it tries to find the row in the ViewObject instance using the uploaded row's key. The code is rsi.findByKey(key, 1). I checked the value of key. It looks correct. But no row is return from findByKey() call. Then 'No row found' exception is thrown.
My JDev version 11.1.1.7
Greatly appreciate any suggestion on what could be wrong?HI
I am facing the same issue. Are you able to resolve this issue or any solution around ?

Hi All,
I am just trying to deploy my sample Portal Project Application from NWDS through Quick PAR upload into Portal Server, this is the first time i am getting this error, i don't know why
The error is like below
PAR upload failed:
i did all settings also, if i miss any settings let me know.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks and Regards,
Abhi.HI Abrahim..
There r various ways of deploying a par file:
As thread shows u r deploying it with NWDS. U can also deploy it with SDM and through admin consloe.
Steps : Through Admin Console
you should have system admin role to upload it from portal.
go to system administration-support-portal runtime-administration console from there you can upload par files
With the help of SDM:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/22/a7663bb3808c1fe10000000a114084/frameset.htm
One another way:
well for redeployin a par file the easiest way would be:
1. open a browser
2. go to http://<your portal host>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prttarget/PortalAnywhere.default
3. Upload the PAR file
That's it, changes take effect immediately.
if have any querry pls revert back:

PAR File upload Failed in NWDS
Hi ,
i.While i m trying to deploy PAR file from NWDS it showing Error like this"<b>PAR Fileupload Faild Please Check the user Name And Password</b> " .Also I tried this with admin Userid and Password,it showing the same error.
ii.I can able to Login in to the Portal,But i cant deploy the PAR File.
Help me to get through this .
Regards,
Malini.VHello Malini,
There is no configuration on server side for uploading PAR files. Please check your EP Server settings they can be the only cause of error. In NWDS please go to Windows->prefrences->SAP Enterprise Portal. Provide all the necessary details over there.
You should use a user id which is having super_admin role assigned to it.
In case you still get error that upload failed, In NWDS please go to Windows->prefrences->Workbench->Proxy Settings. remove proxy if it is there.
Also the upload can fail depending of the content of the file, please ensure that there is no error in the code you are using.
Regards
Atul Shrivastava

Unable to submit form without attachment if file upload fails
Hi All,
I have a form, in which I have a input file component.
Scenario 1 - If i don't attach anything and submit the form, it is successful.
Scenario 2 - If I attach a file of size less than 2 MB and then submit, it is successful.
Scenario 3 - If I attach a file of size greater than 2 MB and then submit, ADF gives an error message saying " File is large" which is expected.
3.1 - In the scenario 3, after file upload fails, I want to submit the form without attaching any file. But the form isn't submitted and the warning message always pops up.
3.2 - If I upload file of size less than 2MB again and then submit, it is successful.
Please help me in resolving the issue.
Thanks,
Harini.Try clearing the error messages
<af:resource type="javascript">
function clearMessagesForComponent(evt){
AdfPage.PAGE.clearAllMessages();
evt.cancel();
</af:resource>Now all yo uneed to do is to call this javascript method e.g. using a <af:clientListener method="clearMessagesForComponent" type="focus"/>on a button or any other field.

The hard drive on my Mac Book Pro failed last week. I just put a new Samsung SSD in this thing and had to load the Snow Leopard OS that came with the computer. I had Mt. Lion on the old drive that I had purchased last year but no boot disc made. I have made several attempts to get the Mt lion soft ware on the computer but the Apple store does not have it only mavericks but my Snow Leopard version is too old for it so I cant get it either. How do I get something to run the software that I had on the old drive?
Unfortunately I lost my life and am trying to rebuild. Isn't the technical era great.
Backup, backup, backup
As a minimum, use 3-2-1 (or even more)
3 copies of your data (original copy counts as 1)
2 different backup utilities/storage formats (protects from bugs in the software)
1 copy off-site (protects against theft, fire, and natural disaster)
More backup copies are even better.
Backup disks are cheap compared to the lost of personal data that does not exist anywhere else. -

File upload fails when the file is larger than about 50kb. The upload returns a blank page when it fails. I have searched the world over and cannot find an answer to this problem. Does anyone have any suggestion of what to do?
Thank you,
ChrisWhat mechanism are you using to handle uploaded files? Some libraries place a configurable limit on the size of the file.

IPhoto '08 Book upload errors with squid transparent proxy - tip
Hi folks
I've just "solved" a problem I was having with iPhoto Book uploads. The solution may apply to other publishing products from iPhoto and possibly iDisk uploads too.
My firewall & proxy setup is basically Linux iptables redirecting all outbound http (port 80) connections to a dansguardian filter, which in turn is passed onto a squid instance running as a transparent proxy (oh, and there's a privoxy in this all too!). Yeah, OK, I know, slightly paranoid, but I don't want my children accidently browsing stuff I don't think they are old enough for yet!
Now I had the problem before with iPhoto '06 as well, but at the time just didn't have the time or inclination to figure out what the problem was, and just did the book order and upload from the office, where it went through without a problem. This time I decided to dig a bit and see what was happening. The clue that triggered off the solution was watching the part of the order process where the book data is uploaded. In my default setup, the upload bar would scream through to 100%, and then sit there for ages, before coming back with a connection error. Watching the network flashy lights on the NIC on the firewall though, it suddenly dawned on me that what was happening was that the upload was screaming through to the squid (as there was no outbound network activity from the firewall while this was happening) and then sitting there waiting for squid to pass it on to the Apple site (as shown by the outbound NIC activity light suddenly going bonkers once the uoload bar hit 100%).
So clearly there's a problem sending book orders via a squid proxy setup as a transparent proxy. It might also very well be dansguardian interfering and wanting to take the entire upload and checking it before passing it on to squid. I already have site exception setup for all apple.com urls though in dansguardian, so didn't think it would be that. I thought about dicking around with the squid acl's but didn't have the enthusiasm to spend half the day getting that working.
So what I did in the end was tail the squid logs to see what was being proxied whilst the book order was going on, and then dropped in 3 new rules in my iptables setup just before the redirect rule. Tried ordering the book again, and voila!
The three rules I inserted were:
$IPTABLES -t nat -A PREROUTING -s ! 10.1.1.1 -p tcp -d mercury.apple.com -j ACCEPT
$IPTABLES -t nat -A PREROUTING -s ! 10.1.1.1 -p tcp -d configuration.apple.com -j ACCEPT
$IPTABLES -t nat -A PREROUTING -s ! 10.1.1.1 -p tcp -d publish.mac.com -j ACCEPT
The "-s ! 10.1.1.1" bit is obviously particular to my setup, as I wouldn't want connections from the router itself being proxied, so that may need to either be customised or left out altogether. These three rules are then immediately followed by the redirect:
$IPTABLES -t nat -A PREROUTING -s ! 10.1.1.1 -p tcp --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 8081
Hope that is of some help to someone out there!
