Book upload won't start

When I click on "send book to blurb" button, the task appear on the left upper corner of Lightroom but the progress bar don't move even if I wait hours.
Previously, when I made a book, I had to give credential and book description in a new window when I used this functionality. Now, this window won't appear when I click on the button. No authentification, no transfer. Seem logical...
Anybody know how to fix that?
Using version 5.2. Updated to 5.3 and the problem is still there

guys i had this problem also, when it came to upload the book i got the error message but had been billed for the book. the money does eventually come back into your account after about a week.
however, i did find a workaround for the upload error and was eventually able to make my order, i am now just waiting for my book delivering.
boot your mac into safe mode by holding down the shift key. once you are on the mac desktop, open your iphoto as normal and do a test run of your book to create it as a pdf to make sure it works.
then click on buy book, enter all your details and the book should upload without any problems and your order should go through. then just reboot your mac like normal to get back out of safe mode.
i found this out from talking to a guy who works at apple and he says it's a known bug but that they haven't found out why it happens to some people and not others. he said once you've made your first purchase on the store from using safe mode you shouldn't ever have to boot into safe mode again for any further orders that you wish to make.
i don't know if that part is true though since i've only made the one order but i think i would be tempted to boot into safe mode for any orders i make from iphoto in the future.
hope it works for you guys, it worked for me.

Which model MacBook Pro do you have (e.g., “15-inch Late 2011”) and which version of OS X are you running?

This could be a software/state problem or a hardware problem.  Here are steps to resolve the former.

  • Mac Book Pro won't start

My mac won't start. Even when I start with option and click recovery hd a grey screen with apple logo comes and nothing else. I started in single user mode and checked that disk is ok. Still not starting up. It happened after sudden slowing down of mac

Then your drive is OK, but you no longer have a partitioned volume. Do this:
Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
    1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    2. After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
This should restore the version of OS X originally pre-installed on the computer.

  • Mac Book Pro won't start from hard drive when turned on

I have a new 15 in Mac Book Pro with 10.8.1. When I turn it on it always boots to the disk utilities rather than my harddrive. I select my startup disk and reboot. It starts fine. But when I shut it off the same sequence repeats. I have verified my drive and selected the hard drive as my startup disk.
What is happeneing? What should I try?

  • Mac Book Pro won't start up.

My friend's Macbook pro (probably 2011) hasn't been used for a month. When he turned it on, it got stuck on the gray screen with the logo and spinning wheel. I have tried doing all of the solutions that relate to this problem except for re dowloading the OS, which I can't do because the disk reader is broken.
It has been on the start up screen for more than an hour and does not seem to be doing anything
also, after force-shutting it down...when I restart it, there is a loading bar that dissappears after about 5 seconds. It doesn't fill up.
there is nothing attatched to it, so there shouldn't be any problem with the peripherals.
When running the safeboot, it says that there is a runtime corruption. I refuse to take the computer to the applestore because it is past the two year warrantee....

The fact the DVD drive is broken says there are greater problems.  Bring it in for service.

  • Mac book air won't start up it has a flashing folder with questions mark. How do I fix it?

    Please help!!!

Hold the option key down while booting the machine (wired keyboard) and a list of bootable options appears.
Select OS X and click the arrow, then set the Startup Disk again in System Preferences.  Hopefully this will fix the issue and no further problems.
If no bootable options appears, then your internal boot drive could be dead.
If you have 10.7 or later and doing the above shows only RecoveryHD, then your Macintosh HD partition is corrupted.

  • Laptop won't start up - help

Hello. My laptop was working just fine all last week while teaching a workshop and now I went to turn in on and the screen stays black. I plugged in the power cord and let it stay plugged in over night and it still won't turn on. The light is green on the power connection so I know it is getting a connection but when I push the on button I hear nothing. Is there a way to get this to start up or does it sound like I need a total new battery?
    Thanks

    Hello Brody,
I posted a query about my laptop and you follow up after one of your comments with Hold That Thought.... not sure if you meant to not follow the advice given??? Anyway my mac book pro won't start up although the charge light is green when plugged in. It worked fine before that but now am not sure if the battery is useless or is there another way to start this up? Battery is removeable.
    Thanks so much.

If you recently installed new ram, make sure it is seated properly.
If that doesn't work try removing one stick at a time to see if one is dead or put original ram back in.

It will make it easier to help you w/ your problem to know the exact model, size, year built, RAM installed and OS you're running. A little history will also help.

    If it's 3 beeps that's usually a RAM problem.
