Booking a material  for Service (NCAMC) Vendor / Contractor

Dear SAP Gurus,
How to issue the Material to Service vendor to rectify the equipment in AMC contract & how to reconcile the same in SAP?
We know issue movement is 941 & booking movement is 943, but how to do the process & what is the procedure?  We are having Material code for the same item.

Generally, Repair of Materials are handled via concept of Gate Pass (Returnable & Non-Returnable). But, SAP doesn't provide any option for creating Gate Pass (Returnable & Non-Returnable) in standard.
Try the below suggested procedure as a work around process;
Repair Process via Returnable Gate Pass: -
1. MM01 - Create Material Master for every Spare Part / Machinery to be sent to Vendor for Repair as Non-Valuated (Material Type "UNBW") (Do not extend Accounting and Costing views since you don't require postings of Stock value and consumption values, you only want to track the Service/Repair Charges)
It's not necessary to have materials as Non-Valuated always, it depends on your requirement.
2. MIGO - Goods Receipt > Others (Receive the quantities of these materials using Movement Type 501 / 511) - Only if Stock of Material is not available.
3. ME21N - Create Subcontracting PO (Here Main Material and Component will be same material)
4. MB1B - Transfer Posting w.r.t. Subcon PO (Mvmt Type - 541, Spare Part stock will get posted to Vendor Stock)
5. MB90 - Take Print out of this Material Doc as Returnable Gate Pass (U need to configure Message Determination of Inventory Mgmt)
6. MIGO - GR against Subcon PO (101 - Receive Spare Part, 543 O - Consumption of Spare Part form Vendor Stock)
7. MIRO - LIV for Service Charges w.r.t. Subcon PO
Note: - If PM Module is implemented then use PM Order as origin of the Repair Process. If it is not then follow the above process.
Else use Service Process Cycle: -
1. ME21N - Create Service PO (With Item Category D and Account Assignment Category K )
2. ML81N - Create Service Entry Sheet w.r.t. Service PO
3. MIRO - LIV for Service Charges w.r.t. Service PO or Service Entry Sheet

Without a legitimate alternative - Oracle Press and/or Self Test - honest test takers have a harder time passing. It's logical to assume that cheaters would comprise a higher percentage of all passers of this test than they do in tests with legitimate prep material.
    Oracle does have a course with a manual for 1z0-146. However, the course has yet to actually be offered anywhere, live or virtual, as I have checked. I don't know if Oracle would make available in some way the manual for us to study from. I still think Oracle should produce an Oracle Press book as well as pressure or subsidize Self Test Software to make a prep exam.

    I have a scenario like this, I want to send an Asset material for service at a certain vendor, material has to send to other plant in the same company. As matter is urgent Please explain clearly what business process and documentation has to follow.

    Generally asset can not be issued to the vendor, so you have to created the dummy material for asset and then issue to the vendor for service and receive back.
    once oyu create the dummy matierla then it is sub contract procedure oyu have to follow.

    Make new material with material type DIEN....this shd solve your problem....
    Since services cannot be stored, a material master record of this material type does not contain inventory data or inventory management data. No fields for gross weight, net weight or unit of weight are included in the basic data for a service, as are for other material types.

    I have to procure material from vendor in the container sent by me to him. However I dont want to use item Category L / Subcontracting for the same. We wll not maintain BOM as well. Please tell is there any other way round for the same. The stock of the container in my plant is non valuated.

    For this you need to follow the "Quota Arrangement" Process.
    Go to MM02 - In "Purchasing" view, enter "Quota arr. usage" as '4" and save.
    Also maintain MRP views of the material master.
    Now go to OMI4 - here for MRP Lot Size (For e.g. EX), activate "Splitting Quota" for Short-term as well as Long-term planning both and save.
    Now go to MEQ1 - here for material master and plant and press enter, here maintain valid to date and pres enter and double click on this
    Here enter Procurement as "F" (External Procurement), also enter all the vendors and enter Quota as "1" for all the vendors.
    Prerequisite for Quota Arrangement is Purchase Info Record and Source List must exist for the material.
    Now maintain Planned independent requirement for material in MD61 and then run MRP for the material in MD02 and check system will generate the PRs for the material for all the vendors maintained in MEQ1.

  • Issuing material to Service order contractor and tracking it

    Hi Experts,
    We are creating service activity PR, PO, Service acceptance as per standard SAP. We would like to issue materials to this contractor on free of cost and he would return balance material, if any.
    We can reserve material for this activity and goods issue against this reservation (using movement type 221). But this material will be consumed in project.
    Is there any solution for this?

    Hi Murthy,
    From the scenario explaination I believe you make a common procurement for the project and provide it to the service executed by various departments such Electrical Instrumentation etc.
    In that case create a Procurement WBS element in your project structure along with the mechanical,electrical instrumentation WBS structure.Make all project related procurements under this procurement WBS element by attaching material through dummy Internal activities(as you cannot attach material directly to WBSE).
    Your department WBS element will have all the subcontractor service activities.When you want issue the material to a particular subcontractor activity,make a stock transfer from Procurement WBS element to the WBS element to which the service activity is attached(in your case 1000 M).Till now it will be in the inventory.When the subcontractor provides you the actual consumption data, make a goods issue to that service activity(in your case 800M).
    In this way you can track the
    1)total procurement of cable
    2)Cable lying with each subcontractor
    3) actual cable consumption by subcontractor
    4)actual material cost realising against the actual execution activity.
    But there are some points to be noted,
    Hope you will be following Project stock concept, with procurement type being Res+PR for WBS.In this case the reservation will be in the internal activity under with Material(Cable) is attached.That is in the procurement WBSE.So while closing the project you have to clear those open reservation.You have option for clearing open reservations while confirming.As I mentioned earlier the internal activities are dummy, you should have a control key with cost irrelevant.
    One more point to note, while issuing the material to the service activity, you have to make a manual issue as there wont be any reservation against this service activity(that is you cannot adopt details of the reservation).

  • Vendor evaluation - Quantity Score for Service Items

    Hi experts,
    Vendor Evaluation is active in our client system.
    There are both material and service vendors for score evaluation.
    One of the service vendors is having a Quantity Reliability (Delivery criteria) score of 100.
    Only services (item cat SERVICE) is procured from this vendor.
    The On-Time Delivery performance score is 0 (not calculated).
    Why is Quantity Reliability set to 100 if all material documents are related to service items?
    Anybody face such issue before?

    Hi.
    You need to configure Output type NAHN (Dunning).  Define condition records. Follow the same steps as you configure PO output type NEU.
    Make sure the 1st/2nd/3rd reminder days are maintained n PIR.
    These days are displayed in Delivery Tab of the PO.
    If the above output type is determined, then a standard SAP batch job automaticall ryns  ME9F to send reminders /expeditors to the vendor. You dont have to do any other config for this

    Hi,
    You can create a new material type if you want to or use any of the exxisting material types that have qty and value updating set on.
    This is because you simply have to use an account assignment category on the PO etc. to post the costs to a GL upon receipt. leave this at space (for the same material) and you will; bring it into stock and update the stock account.
    So the main thing is the account assignment category and NOT the material type.

         Our client's new requirement is we need to give material number mandatory for Purchase Requisition. But it should not affect for Service Purchase Requisition (as we don't have material number with material type DIEN. Till now, we were using Acc Assignment Category K and Item Category D with only Short Text description). We have separate document type for Service Purchase Requisition(ZSRV).
        In order to make Material number mandatory, in PR, we need to give in "Define Screen Layout  at Document Level for PR",right? Is there any way to give, "Material Number Mandatory at Document Type Level"?

    I've been trying to book an iPhone in for service via the Apple Support site for a few weeks now because my nearest Apple store is about an hour and a half away. Every time I try and do this I get this error after clicking continue after doing the my address section.
    "Service is not available in this location. Please choose another solution (addrapi.08)"
    I've had to book another iPhone in for service before and never had this error, and I've also tried doing it from another PC with a different IP etc.and I get the same issue.
    Any help would be appreciated as I need to get my phone sorted

    I'm going to assume base off that message is that whatever you need done to your iphone - that location doesn't do that kind of service.

    I have doubt, if i do a sale of material 'X' and for the same material if i have to do a service invoice for rendering some service at the customer end. eg:- service charges for transportaion of the material to the customer place, doing installation charges for the material at the customer end etc.,

    b) DIEN (Service with Delivery)
    Based on the same you could bill the customer.
