Bookmark images are not showing up. The menu of folders is there but no images show
to the right. ???

From the Safari Menu Bar click Bookmarks/Show All Bookmarks
If that doesn't help to go ~/Library/Safari and move the "Bookmarks.plist" file to the Trash and relaunch Safari. See if that helps.

How can I change the icon for the bookmarks menu button

Using linux, the default icon for the bookmarks menu button is quite ugly. Is there a way to change the icon for the button with some code in userChrome.css ?

After several intents, I found a solution.
This is my userChrome.css file:

Why can't I delete what appears to be a "phantom" bookmark from my Bookmarks Menu?

I have a very peculiar bookmark entry in the Bookmarks Menu that appears to be a phantom entry of some type. I see the entry but it doesn't have a folder icon in front of it like the other bookmark entries do. Furthermore, even after I highlight this particular bookmark, I cannot right-click and go to the website, nor can I delete this bookmark. Indeed, the Name and Description panel below the bookmarks doesn't get updated when I select this particular bookmark.
How do I remove this "phantom" bookmark?
I have a screen capture of this "phantom" entry and the correct entries above and below it if that would help but I don't see a way to attach an image in this post.

I turned the Bookmarks Toolbar (BT) back on per posted instructions (Relax...!) and no BT appeared. I've also lost the Organize Bookmarks option in the Bookmarks menu. I'm using a Mac 10.5.8. Restoring back to Firefox 3.6.whatever didn't help.

Upgraded to Firefox 4.0 earlier this week (4/11/11). Have been using and recommending Firefox for years (in spite of the websites that don't work well on it) but liked very little of the new 4.0 look (flat, colorless, buttons not very visible against theme graphics...) Do like the new Zoom buttons (thank you for that!), but re-arranged all buttons immediately. Don't like Tabs on Top - changed that - and turned the Bookmarks Toolbar (BT) on as well. Tabs shifted correctly, but no BT appeared... The Bookmarks sidebar works fine, but I no longer have Organize Bookmarks in the Bookmarks menu.
Today (4/16/11), after trying to revive the BT several times, researching problem in support, trying out the App Tab (OK, but not a substitute for BT), I restored to previous version of Firefox. The window looked like what I remembered, except the BT was gone. Aaarrgh! I've done nothing else to Firefox or my Mac recently.

Drop Down Menu with images in Muse and Animate

Hello,
i am trying to create a drop down menu with images as you can see on this website:

In Adobe Muse the menu with all pages in it doesn't let me insert pictures.
With the empty composition widget i archived something similar but when once activated the action it doesn't close.
My last try was to build a menu in Edge Animate. The Problem i had was that when i used the action click, open URL.
Inserted in Muse the new page opens in the created animation and not on the same page fullscreen.
What have i done wrong?

I am having a similar problem. I have multiple widgets on a page -- menus, accordions, tooltips, slideshows. As soon as I 'activate' a widget (eg: expand an accordion or play a slideshow) it disables all the triggers below it, as well as all the hyperlinks. This seems like a bug... I hope there's a workaround?

"Organize Bookmarks" does not appear under Bookmarks menu, even though Help advises to go there.

I've needed to eliminate Bookmarks. Because I have no "Organize Bookmarks" or "Manage Bookmarks" option under the Bookmarks menu, I've tried dragging bookmarks off the list onto my desktop. I've tried right-clicking to get a "delete" option (but there is none). I've gone to "Help" where I'm advised to click on the Bookmarks menu item, select "Organize Bookmarks," and proceed from there. An image of the items in "Organize Bookmarks" appears in this "Help" instruction. BUT -- "Organize Bookmarks" does not appear when I click the Bookmarks menu item.

That menu item was changed to '''Show All Bookmarks''' in Firefox 4.0.

The bookmark menu will not stay in the background when I select a bookmark to view.

when I open the bookmark menu then select a bookmark, it opens properly, then the bookmark menu returns to the front. I have to click somewhere on the screen I want to bring it forward again. This happens with each bookmark I open. The menu doesn't want to stay in the background.

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.

To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
#Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

I can't get Sort By Name to work on the Bookmarks Menu. How do you sort your folders alphabetically?

I have my bookmarks sorted in folders. When I create a new folder it goes to the end of the list. I have tried going into Bookmarks/Show All Bookmarks, right click on Bookmarks Menu and Sort By Name but nothing happens. I have to manually move the newly created folder.

I have no problem sorting an individual folder by name, I can't get the list of folders to sort. As you can see by the attached images, several folders I've added are at the bottom of the folder list and even after I right click on Bookmark Menu/Sort By Name, they don't alphabetize.

Bookmarks menu subfolders drop down and block permanently lower bookmarks unless I click away from the menu entirely.

I'm using a MacBook Pro running OS 10.5.8, and I just recently upgraded from Firefox 4 to 5. Since then my Bookmarks menu has been a nightmare. I have a lot of long bookmark names, but that's never ever been a problem for me - Firefox used to cut them off at a certain length and use ellipses to indicate a longer title. Now when I pull down the Bookmarks menu it's super WIDE.
Additionally, I have to click on the Bookmarks menu title first, then when it drops down I have to move my mouse off to the side and quickly find what I want lest I trigger a subfolder. When a subfolder gets opened, it doesn't go away. My mouse will move up and down other options if they're not wholly covered by the subfolder dropdown, but NOTHING will be highlighted except the subfolder. Not even another subfolder will be triggered when I let my mouse rest of it; I have to click on the website already loaded or my desktop to make the subfolder drop down go away.
I cannot browse my extensive Bookmarks list at all this way. I've got 20 subfolders and a bunch of unsorted links beneath that.

I'm not familiar with Windows 7, but... is it possible there is a permissions problem with your profile folder, or read-only set on any database files?

You can use custom style rules to modify the appearance of many parts of Firefox's user interface. Here's an example of a custom style rule applied using the Stylish extension's preview feature (see attached screen shot).

I keep searching and cannot find out how to bookmark a website in Safari on IOS 7. On 6 it was an arrow that took you to a number of
options. It appears to be gone.

It's now in the "Action" menu (the icon with the arrow pointing up out of the square box). Tap that icon, then tap "Bookmark".

I want my default Bookmark Menu to be my Desktop Bookmarks

If I want to access my bookmark menu on my Android device I have to do the following:
1.- Tap on the Address bar
2.- Tap on the Bookmark tap where it shows the "Top Sites/Bookmakrs/History" tabs
3.- Tap on Desktop Bookmarks
4.- Tap on Bookmarks menu.
Those are 4 things I have to tap BEFORE I'm able to go choose which site I want to visit. What I want is for my "Desktop Bookmarks/Bookmarks Menu/" folder to be open as soon as I tap on the Address bar, could you please let me know how to do this? Thank you!

I go to websites I visited only about 15% of the time.
More often than not I want to go to a site in my bookmarks, among all of the folders that I have spent years cataloging and creating for that purpose.
Also, more often than not, I have cataloged those bookmarks by general, hierarchical folders so I don't HAVE to remember what the URL or the name of the site was called.
Example - I do a great deal of Android data / ROMS / research with numerous forums - about 15 of them in a folder. On the desktop version I have my bookmarks toolbar at the top. I go to Computers / Android / Forums and pick where I want to go. That's GREAT UI design!
Trying to do that from the Android awesome bar has taken me...way more time than a good UI should. Makes it NOT so awesome...Cumbersome, actually...
Is there an API I can tweak or a hack for the about:config that would make any of this easier?

My bookmark menu moves too fast when I try to pick a submenu with my mouse.
When I am trying to surf to a website using my bookmark menu and
navigating with my mouse, I click Bookmarks, then a main menu item, and then a submenu item. While moving my mouse from the main menu item to the submenu item, if I happen to stray off the main menu item briefly before I get to the submenu item, Firefox picks the wrong submenu item. I ran a utility program recently to "speedup" Firefox on the internet, but I did not want to speed up the menu operation. Please help me get the menu delay back.

Web Browser with Bookmarks menu in xcode?

Hello, I am new to programming and have followed several tutorials on programming a web browser using xcode. So far I have a history menu, a google search, and a url field, and a home button that brings you back to the default homepage. I would now like to implement a bookmarks menu in the menu bar. For the ability to store bookmarks. seeing as how i am new, I have no idea about how to go about doing this. Could someone please either post the code for this feature, or either lead me to a tutorial or give me instruction on how to do this. Than you, any help is greatly appreciated.

there and compare to the Address bar, if same then
block that website.That would be quite a bit of work. An easier approach would be to block addresses based on words appearing in them.
