Bookmark names and URLs mixed up

Upgraded to 4.0.1 and now all my bookmarks are shifted over one name. For example, I had Yahoo and Amazon next to each other on the bookmark toolbar, in that order left to right. Now, when I click the Yahoo bookmark, I get the link to Amazon...and when I click Amazon, I get the link to the Orioles homepage, which is the 'name' of the bookmark to the right of Amazon. Not to mention, I have about 8 that are missing completely from the toolbar. I really don't want to have to go back to rename all my dang bookmarks. (It is like this in the drop down list as well as on the bookmark toolbar.)

In your profile are 5-10 bookmark backups try restoring to an earlier date.
"Ctrl+Shift+B" (show all bookmarks) > Import and Backup > Restore > choose date the problem occurred or the day before, if that doesn't work try the next day back.
The Restore is done by Firefox with Firefox up and running , a restore goes very fast.
Backups are taken once a day early in the day.
FWIW, you should also have your own backups of your user data from all applications external disk drives are cheap. Backing up your Firefox profile would easily fit on a thumb drive. But you really should be backing up all user data youself.

Basic ?: application name and URL

I have a basic question. The web.xml file has one name for an application. If a war file is named something else, that seems to affect the URL you have to use. WHat is the relation between 1) the app name given in the web.xml file and 2) the file name of hte war, for the URL you need to use to run the application? Thanks.

the name in the web.xml can be used for backend purposes, it's a bit obsolete. The context path in the META-INF/context.xml file is the actual context name that will be used. If you don't have a context.xml file, the name of the directory inside the webapps directory will be used. I don't see how the name of the war file has anything to do with it.

Domain name and URL

Hi, i need help again.Now the domain name "www.edadecorationetarchitecture.com" is now available and i can use it or transfer it but when i publish my website there is this message : "The requested URL /index.html was not found on this server." My new URL is "www.edadecorationetarchitecture.eu" and not "www.edadecorationetarchitecture.com" anymore. What can i do to transfer the old URL to the new one without changing my new domain name or the new one i paid for 3 years.

Run preclone, change the hostname at the OS level and in the hosts file then run postclone.

Since your URL is dynamic and there is a chance that the protocol is https, it is better to use SOAP Receiver Adapter instead.
Make sure that you check Do not use SOAP Envelope to make it behave like a Plain HTTP Receiver.

From the link, URL is TServerLocation, etc... Use dynamic configuration via UDF to fulfill your requirements.

Any way to trim off .url from bookmark name import from html?

just import bookmark.html from IE, and notice that all bookmark show as XXXXX.url?
why? checked bookmark.html from IE, no .url there.

How do I not show image file name, only url link - Acrobat Pro 9

Both file name and url ink show when placing cursor over image. I want to only have url link appear.

Use a button field for the link. You will have to add the action or JS code to open the link.

Why are the stored site names and adresses randomly mismatching?

I open Firefox 16.0.2, Windows XP,
and find my bookmarks system corrupted.
Site names have the wrong addresses attached.

i find i can not delete folders, or content within folders, or rename/edit, site names.

How do I get Mozilla to use the page name for the actual bookmark name instead of the URL when I bookmark a page

I just noticed this (in comparison to Internet Explorer): In IE, when you favorite a webpage, it uses the actual name of the webpage (for example, for this page, it would be "Ask a Question Firefox Help" as the bookmark name), but in Mozilla it uses the URL address as the bookmark name. I was wondering if it was at all possible to change my Mozilla settings in order to make it use the webpage name as the bookmark name instead of the URL address? I hope everyone understands what I'm getting at? If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Bookmark Not prefilling data with name or URL.

Driver Class name and JDBC URL Format

I need a 'driver class name' and the JDBC URL Format. But I cannot find these anywhere.

How can I hide the password and user name in url???

Hi experts,
I'm creating a login page and know I have a problem.
The Username and password are verified in a Java class, after checking the user and password, the user should be linked to the portal.
So far everything has worked well.
But when I call the lin like this
res.sendRedirect ("/ irj / portal j_user =" + UserN + "& j_password =" + passw);
then the user name and Pwasswort appears in the url.
Can someone tell me how can I hide the password and user name???

If there is no specific reason that you have to use sendredirect...thne you can try request.forward.....

My moms computer died we are putting the old drive into the new computer as a slave drive. how do I transfer all the bookmarks, user names and passwords from the old drive to the new drive?

Sorry if this posted twice I am NEW. I thought I could just go back to what I typed and add to it. Mom had a computer it died they are putting in the old drive on the new computer as a slave. What are the steps I need to do to transfer ALL the bookmarks, user names and passwords onto the new computer. We will have 3 desktops do we have to do the same steps on each desktop? I do not want to re enter all the user names and passwords on the new hard drive. Old computer was Windows XP the new computer is Windows 7 Kathryn Schwartz
