Bookmark refresh

Hello,
We have a query which uses the current date. The users in our company save bookmarks but the data that the query uses is the date which the bookmark was saved. Is it possible to refresh the date?
Thank You,
David

It is not possible to refresh the date in Bookmark.
The possible workaround is you can ask the user to personalize all the selection variables except the date <b>in the selection screen</b>. And for date use a customer exit which populates the current system date amd make it not ready for input .
So when the user clicks on the report, automatically it will get executed for the current date.
Hope this helps.

  • When I open Firefox Home, it crashes

I installed Firefox Home today on my iPod Touch 3rd gen, with 4.2.1 software, and Firefox 4 with sync on my desktop. The login works fine on the iPod, the initial sync seems to have worked for tabs and bookmarks, but there is no history synched, and every time I open Home it crashes as soon as I try to go to a page, open a bookmark, refresh the data, any action at all. The app crashes within a minute of opening. There is plenty of space left on my iPod, I have not much on it, so I don't think that has anything to do with the crashing. What should I do?

Look in windows reliability History for the Photoshop Crash and double click on it to see what is crashing within Photoshop.

  • Add "home button" to toolbar

I found an old thread/question about this, but it was outdated. It suggested https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/home-links/ and https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/back-home-269533/ but back home isn't compatible with the latest FF and home links doesn't do anything I want. Any addons that will do this? If not, can I get a pointer to a tutorial on adding something to the toolbar/url bar on FF Android?

OK, since I cannot seem to get an answer to "is there an addon" let me ask "can you point me to a tutorial on adding a button to the area with bookmark/refresh/triple dot menu or url bar using addons". I know I can add a button to the url bar because of the refresh in url addon (i think thats the name), but it would be preferred to have it in the toolbar.

  • How do I restore all bookmarks from an external hard drive to a refreshed firefox?

I just "refreshed" Firefox and lost ALL of my passwords, even though the instructions said they would be saved. I have tried copying them from the Old Firefox Data folder and this does NOTHING. I have all of the data I need on an external hard drive and the ability to browse ( have already found my Firefox profile on the backup drive) and copy and paste data from that drive to my C drive. Please tell me EXACTLY how to transfer my bookmarks to the refreshed version of Firefox. I have YEARS of bookmarks that I CANNOT AFFORD TO LOSE. I will be more than happy to simply restore my old profile even though that will slow Firefox down. That would be a small price to pay, but I must have the bookmarks back. Please help!

  • When I start it up it shows two two nested windows on the screen, has a Firefox yellow tab in the corner, does not display the toolbar bookmarks, the back and forth buttons do not work and there is no page refresh. No clue what is going on.

Every time I open up Firefox it appears to open two nested and linked windows, each with their own minimize, maximize and close buttons but the both work the same. The homepage does not come up, the back and forth buttons do not work. Both the refresh button and F5 do not work. The Bookmark Toolbar does not show up until I disable it in View and then re-enable it and this causes the outer nested window to disappear or close.

This issue can be caused by an extension or theme that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Firefox 13.0+ bookmarked RSS feeds won't auto refresh

Hello. Since Firefox 13.0 and above (up to the latest 17 pre alpha nightly) the feature that allows your bookmarked RSS feeds to be automatically updated is GONE. Previously popular browser.bookmarks.livemark_refresh_seconds (I had to enter this value) either broken or does not exist in the latest FF versions, it is simply does not work.
I've tried everything, starting from disabling add-ons to safe mode but nothing helps in solving this problem. Could you please tell if this is a bug or this feature is no longer supported in Firefox so I can stop bothering and switch to another browser
    Best Regards

Yes, you now need to refresh the live feed items manually because live feeds now work as regular bookmarks.<br />
Only the initial loading is automatic the first time you open a live feed bookmark.

  • How do I change colour (actually, give colour) to icons such as Refresh, Bookmarks, etc? They are all grey-black.

It makes it much easier for me and my family if the commonly useed icons such as Refresh, Bookmarks, back, forward, history and stop are coloured. Firefox 4.0 has all of these in a grey-black shade. I would like to be able to change the colurs of the current icons, or have a list of colours and shapes to choose from in the Customise menu - which it doesn't have now. Thank you.

  • I have to "refresh" my bookmarks almost every time I open my browser, and sometime it takes many attempts.

My bookmarks do not open from the icon I have in my Yahoo toolbar. I constantly have to "refresh" it, which I put in quotes because that doesn't work most of the time.

If the Yahoo toolbar loads those bookmarks from the Yahoo server then it sounds to me like a Yahoo problem.
You can try to disable all other extension and some plugins as well to test if one of them is interfering.

  • Why do I have to keep refreshing the Yahoo bookmarks with my homepage in Yahoo

Every time I open Firefox I have to refresh the Yahoo toolbar bookmarks, sometimes several times before I can use my bookmarks. This was happening with the previous version as
    well as 4.0.1

I HAVE RESOLVED THIS!!  The problem was that I was signed in to iCloud on my iphone with an old Apple ID and using a different Apple ID on my pc. I signed out of iCloud on my phone, then re-signed in with the same id as the iCloud on my pc. Presto chango. All is well.

  • How to restore all your bookmarks after refreshing your computer and reinstalling mozilla?

my computer started bugging and then I was obliged to restart it but the computer proposed me to refresh because my computer does not start well and I did it and i hadto reinstall mozilla. now my problem is that i lost all my bookmarks and i really want to have them back because they are important. i tried all i can to restore them but without success

If for instance you reformatted the hard dive and reinstalled the Windows 8 Operating System then unless you had a backup disk image or specific backups elsewhere of Firefox data then you will have lost your bookmarks.
It depends rather on what you did when you refreshed the computer and reinstalled Firefox.
Firefox itself tries to keep bookmark backups, and WIndows tried to keep some previous versions of files.
Please try to give more detailed information about what you did.
'''Immediately backingup your Firefox profile''' may help to preserve some of those bookmarks and backups so you should do that. Then post back and explain what you did when refreshing the computer. Try use the same jargon as was in the instructions you followed, for instance did you reformat the hard disk drive?

  • How to get bookmarks and top tool-bar back after the Mozilla Refresh operation.

I did the Mozilla Refresh, the recommendation for which popped up today on my browser. It promised that I would get my bookmarks back - but they AND the top Toolbar are now gone. Tried Mozilla Help but can't see any detailed help on restoring the bookmarks and the top of the window browser tool-bar. (found notes on restoring bookmarks, but without the tool-bar they are not accessible). Need to get those back.

Also check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
Open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
*"3-bar" Firefox menu button > Customize
*if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the Restore Defaults button to restore the default toolbar setup
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/customize-firefox-controls-buttons-and-toolbars
You can toggle the title bar on/off via the "Title Bar" button at the bottom left in the Customize palette window.
You can have the Menu Bar visible via the right-click context menu of a toolbar to have menus like the File menu with Print (Ctrl+P) and Print Preview and the Bookmarks and History and Tools menus.

  • Refresh button is missing from location bar and bookmarks toolbar is blank when I first start FF30

When I start Firefox 30, my bookmarks toolbar is blank. I have to deselect it in View > toolbars then reselect it and they appear.
Also my refresh button at the far right of the location bar has disappeared and all I see is a magnifying glass.
Another issue I now have is that when I copy and paste the URL for any page into the location bar, this then triggers a Google search and doesnt go directly to the page associated with the URL.
I have tried renaming the FF profile and uninstalling/reinstalling FF but this hasnt resolved.
Any pointers to what my next step should be would be most welcome.
    Im using Windows 7 Professional SP1 32-bit

    Hi Tora Bisu,
Thanks for the reply, however this didnt help me because you didnt tell me where to find the setting "hide urls stop/reload button", and i couldnt find it myself.
However I did resolve the issue myself by disabling addons one by one and reenabling them til I discovered the culprit.
The culprit as i discovered was the Classic Theme Restorer, which has now been duly disabled and will not be used again.

  • Bookmark drop downs that go outside the Firefox window are left on the desktop when bookmarks closed requiring a refresh to clean up

If I open Bookmarks and select a folder that is longer than the Firefox window is high, the part of the bookmarks list that falls outside the window remains on the desktop when I leave bookmarks or close the window. I must then do a refresh of the desktop to get rid of the junk. Does not happen with MS IE9. I am using Windows 7 Home Premium on a SONY VAIO laptop. It started when I went to the VAIO last November. A "Show Desktop" or a refresh of the desktop cleans it up.

Could you try disabling graphics hardware acceleration? Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches with some graphic cards/drivers.
You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If you restart Firefox, is the issue resolved?

  • Used firefox refresh & my bookmarks were deleted

i used the ff refresh feature. now i have lost ALL of my saved bookmarks. have searched on how to retrieve them, but to no avail.

Hi, the Refresh Firefox article [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings here] should help. It might also be worth looking in Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import and Backup > Restore.
    Hope that will help.

A strange toolbar popped up, had to refresh my pc as it turned out to be malware, now all my bookmarks which I need, are gone..have tried all the suggestions on how to get them back, nothing worked..also I am a senior and not too pc savy...thank you

    Hello,
Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be helpful if your bookmarks are lost or missing. To recover them, follow the instructions below.
#Use <u>one</u> of these methods to open the Bookmarks Library window:
#*Click the ''[[Display the Firefox button menu instead of the menu toolbar|Firefox button]]'' to open the menu and click on ''Bookmarks''.
#*Click the ''Bookmarks'' menu and click on ''Show All Bookmarks''.
    # At the top of the Library window, click the "Import and Backup" menu and select Restore.
    # Click the date of the bookmark backup you want to recover.
    # In the new window that appears, click OK.
    # Your bookmarks from the selected date should now be restored.
For more information, see the [[Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer]] article. For other solutions, see the [[Recover lost or missing Bookmarks]] article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
    Thank you.
