Bookmarks are loading slow, and it takes 2-3 times to save a bookmark to the toolbar.
I just switched to a new laptop running Windows 7. I am on Firefox 3.6.6. I brought over my bookmarks from my XP machine and everything came over except for the toolbar. However now when I try to save a bookmark to the toolbar it takes me 2-3 times before it will actually save it. And accessing the toolbar is very slow.
Actually now I can't even get to the bookmarks.

If you have not saved the document and Acrobat closed then it's not possible to retrieve the lost data on the pdf file.

Videos played via internet are so slow and choppy, SLOW Firefox
Was wondering if anyone knew for sure the reason why videos/movie trailers played thru either Safari or Firefox are extremely slow and choppy on my G5 imac or G4 iBook laptop. Not sure if the outdated processors cant handle the flash embedded videos Youtube, Quicktime and other sites post, but it is really annoying not to be able to watch anything smoothly. Even if i let the entire video load (if it is a quicktime), then play it, it still is very choppy. The audio plays fine, but the video never keeps up. I have a 6mb DSL connection, so that cant be the problem. Any video I play via my iPod Touch (aside from flash videos it cant play) they are as smooth as can be (And that is via a wireless connection). Which makes me think it is a processor issue. Any thoughts?
Anyone have any suggestions on how I can remedy this situation? (aside from buying a new computer...)
PLUS, does anyone notice how slow Firefox is, or is it just me? Seems like even when i type in this form field, time lags as the letters show up. I have the latest version, and it is so slow. Switching tabs takes time... Reading and accessing RSS fields in the Feed Sidebar plug in is really slow...

It's not based on the Internet connection speed.
Apple movie trailers use the newer (2005) H.264 video codec and they demand a high CPU (Intel is best). You should get better performance on your G5 than on the G4.
Videos encoded using Flash will be equally difficult to view on older machines -
My iweb site which is hosted by .mac loads slow and grey on pc's. The grey goes away when loaded but I would rather not have that.
Any suggestions?You are thinking along the right track. The problem is the PNGs so try to eliminate the PNGs. Where do the PNGs come from? Well, it turns out that iWeb converts your JPG images into PNGs if you let iWeb do ANYTHING at all to the image. This includes resizing, rotating, framing, opacity changes, drop shadows, reflections...anything.
So what do you think the secret to minimizing PNGs is then??? Right....don't let iWeb do any of these image manipulations. Resize your images outside of iWeb if you can. Apply the effects that you like to your images before bringing them into iWeb. Etc, etc, etc...
I know it seems like this is what you'd expect iWeb to do for you, but unfortunately a side effect of letting iWeb take care of these things is PNG conversion.
Even after doing all that you can do, iWeb still has templated items that only exist as PNGs...so you will not be able to completely get rid of PNGs, but you can for a lot of things. That will help your site load faster in general and without those ugly grey boxes where YOUR images should be. -
WHen I first installed iOS 6 the App Store crashes...and now having iOS 6 for 2 weeks now, all my apps are buggy and now are crashing! Safari and built in apps are becoming slow and crash. I hate how apple leaves iPod touch 4g and iPhone 4 in the dark and basically force us to upgrade to newer devices. Apple could of done better with the update and needs to resolve these issues.
Try:
- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Is there a way to transer from my main account their new accounts? And can I share music from my account with them?
You can't currently transfer content from one account to another account. As long as the tracks are on the computer's iTunes that they use/sync to, and your account is authorised on that iTunes, then they should be able to continue to use them.

Mac Mini very slow at 4 gig memory, upgrade to 16 still slows down but takes a longer time
I bought a Mac mini a year ago. With an i7 and i terabyte and it cam with only 4 gig of ram. It worked fine for a while and i installed some apps then it started to get very slow. seeing the colorful "hourglass " turn round and round quite a few times. Then i went to the activity monitor where it told me that the memory used was about 3.89 gigs. I purchased a memory cleaner app from thr app store which helped a bit.
Today i upgraded to 16 gig memory and bang my computer ripped. The activity manager said i was using 6 gigs of ram and had 9.8 remaining.
after being on the internet for a couple of hours and using Firefox with about ten tabs open the computer started to get very slow again.
I checked the activity manager and it read 6 gigs used and the cash read a whopping 9 gigs. Did not think i would need the memory cleaner any more but after doing a clean it worked better.
Why did i get a whopping 9 gigs in the cash ? which is what it read after my computer slowed down again.You may want to post in the Mac Mini forum, this is the iMac forum. If you would like me to I will ask the moderator to move the thread.

After updating my Multibar couldnt work so i re-installed Mozilla Firefox. Now my Boomarks Toolbar works but it deleted my Bookmarks and it wont allow me to add Bookmarks onto the toolbar. Help Me!
