Bookmarks in iPad2

How can I manage the Bookmarks in Safari on iPad 2? Once placed on the Bar or in the folder, I'm not able to either modify or delete them. Thanks!

I would assume that you have to export the bookmarks to your desktop and them import them into the Safari browser and then sync the bookmarks from Safari within iTunes. This article explains how to export the bookmarks.

The only bookmarks that you can sync to the iPad are Safari bookmarks - I think - so you will have to download Safari as well if you are not using it. It is available for Windows and for Mac.

When using Safari go to File>Import Bookmarks to import the bookmarks.
There may be an easier way, but this is the only way that I can think of.

ok, i figured it out.
go to your ipad2 settings>icloud>bookmarks. turn bookmarks off. it will ask you if you want to delete. say yes. plug your ipad to your macbook. open up itunes. in devices, click on your ipad. go to info tab. scroll down to bookmarks. you should be able to choose 'sync bookmarks'. then choose 'apply'.
look at your ipad safari page. your bookmarks will be updated and synced with your macbook.

Albums and photos created on the iPad, like the Camera Roll and Imported Albums can be deleted by deleting all the photos within those albums.
Albums that you copied to your iPad during a sync with your computer are removed by doing another sync.
Start iTunes on the computer you sync with previously and connect your iPad. Select your iPad in the left column of iTunes on your computer and select Photos in the top bar of the right column of iTunes. Then deselect the album you want to delete and click on Apply. The iPad will go through a sync process and remove the album or albums you deselected.

MacBook Pro not synching Safari bookmarks to iPad2

I am running 10.7.3 on my MacBookPro and ios5.1 on my ipad2. I have just aded bookmarks to my Safari on the Mac and it does not sync with the ipad2...It used to, but I just caught this issue....what is the fix?

With iTunes Match enabled on iOS devices traditional syncing via USB or Wi Fi is diasabled. All music management takes place directly on the iOS device. To sync via USB turn off iTunes Match on the iOS device.

On the iPad, go to Settings; iCloud; and turn Bookmarks to Off. Then when you connect via iTunes, under Info; Other; this allows the Sync Bookmarks to be checked. Don't ask me why it doesn't work via iCloud, but this should at least fix it.

Not able to sync bookmarks to iPad2 after iOS6 upgrade. I am not using iCloud, just manual syncing thru iTunes. Tried to re-sync bookmarks from iMac but not successful. My iMac operating system is10.6.8.

I've spent way too much time trying to do this on my ownl HELP! Purchased a refurbished iPad2 from Apple online. My local Apple store "set me up" with iCloud. I expected this to move my bookmarks over from the MBA to iPad however, when I use Safari on iPad, none of my bookmarks are there.
Manual is warning that if I transfer with iTunes and have iCloud already set up, I may duplicate some info. I'm confused - is iTunes used for transferring info initially then iCloud to store and move info back and forth?

You need to set up iCloud on your computer by going into System Preferences > iCloud.
You can only do that if you are running OS X Lion (10.7).

I've had my iPad2 for a few months now, and I noticed that my iMac Safari bookmarks are more current than those on my iPad2, even though I think I'm set up for them to be kept current using iCloud. I use the cable to sync with iTunes on my iMac, and I've set it up to use iCloud storage. Obviously, I'm probably causing a conflict somehow, so please review how to ensure the iPad2 bookmarks are current with the iMac.

This generally worked for me (finally!), though I think there is still a tricky place where your bookmarks in Safari on the iPad "over-write" those on the iMac. I was expecting some type of merge where bookmarks that were different in either system would be added to the other, but that may be expecting too much.
I would also suggest two slight modifications/additions (though I have not thoroughly tested these):
In step 3 - press "Keep on my iPad" after you turn off Bookmarks
In step 5 - back in your iPad, leave Bookmarks "Off"
I am disappointed that the iPad user guide fails to adequately describe how this process works. If you have both an iPad and an iMac, syncing the bookmarks seems like a pretty important function to get right.

last thing you can try would be go to settings, general, settings, reset all settings
if that does not work, a factory restore will be needed...

Maunally restore it. In order to do this:
-Download the iOS 5.1.1 firmware from here http://www.redmondpie.com/download-5.1.1-ios-for-iphone-4s-4-3gs-ipad-ipod-touch -direct-official-links/
1. After downloading the firmware from the given link, open iTunes and click on your device.
2. Now press SHIFT on your keyboard and while pressing it click on "Restore".
3. A dialog box will appear.
4. Select the firmware you downloaded and click ok.
5. Done!!! Your iPhone will now be restored to 5.1.1 and if you had backed up your iPod before, then you can put all its settings afterwards.

On the iPad's Info tab when connected to your computer's iTunes there should be an option to sync bookmarks from Safari on a Mac or PC (from the manual) :

2 In iTunes, select iPad in the sidebar.
3 Click the Info tab, select “Sync Safari bookmarks” under Other, then click Apply.
