Bookmarks not showing up

I have recently "bookmarked" (well I think I have) two websites and they are not popping up when I click on the tab which pulls my bookmarks down. There used to be an option to "bookmark this page" but that is no longer listed in the pull down menu. So, I hit the star to the left of the pull down menu and I am hoping that this is a shortcut for bookmarking. Please help!

Yes, you can click the star on the Navigation Toolbar to bookmark the current tab to the unsorted folder.
You can click the blue highlighted star that now has an "Edit this bookmark" tooltip another time to move the bookmark from the unsorted folder to another folder.
The button next to it is its drop marker and open a list of the bookmarks, but this list doesn't include bookmarks in the unsorted folder.
You only see the Bookmarks Toolbar folder and the Bookmarks Menu folder in that list and a few menu items.
You can tap the Alt key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar with the Bookmarks menu.
If you bookmark a page then "Bookmark This Page" in the Bookmarks menu changes to "Edit This Bookmark"

Bookmarks not showing up in Printed Documentation

Hello all. I'm evaluating Robohelp 7 and all seems to be
working ok except for printing the documentation to PDF, (or word
for that matter) but that isn't so much of a concern at this point.
When I get to the second screen of the wizard to organize the
chapter layout and choose to do this from the TOC, some of my
bookmarks do not show but some do. I can't see what a difference to
determine why some do and some do not show up there.
Anyone have any suggestions. I would be grateful!

Sorry for the confusion what I meant is of the bookmarks that
aren't showing up some of them have spaces (not actual spaces), and
some have none.
Upon looking further at the TOC I did notice a difference in
the bookmarks that are showing up and the ones that are not. The
ones that are showing have a # symbol rather than the underscore. I
tried changing one of the ones that isn't showing but it didn't do
anything.

Restored bookmarks not showing up on menu

My bookmarks suddenly got erased by themselves and i could no longer add any bookmarks, i reinstalled firefox and connected it to my sync but the bookmarks do not show up. I have tried manually restoring them from a json file and nothing shows up. I have tried it using firefox 17, 17.0.1 and 16.0.2 Any ideas?

Are you using Firefox Sync or another extension to sync bookmarks?

5.0.4 some bookmarks not showing

I can see some bookmarks and folders when I do Show All Booksmarks. They are in the Booksmarks Bar folder. But they are not showing in the bar! (They are not to the right - not too many on the bar.)
This happened after I did a sync with my MobileMe Bookmarks.
Any ideas?

my advice was
Having made a backup copy of bookmarks.plist, use Safari-File-Export Bookmarks.
Then quit safari, trash the bookmarks.plist (you made a copy, right) & import using Safari-file import...

Bookmarks not showing in menu dropdown but still are in url line. When doing the restore feature, it says 807 items but nothing shows up still after.

Earlier today my bookmarks were there. Later tonight, not there.
I've tried the whole restore bookmarks process, I've copied the folder and deleted the places file thing. None of that has worked.
What's weird is if I type something in in the URL box that I know is in my bookmarks, it will show up like it's in the history. But nothing shows up in my bookmarks folder at all.
I need some help on this as I've tried almost every way I've read and nothing has brought them up. And like I said in the title, I have over 800 bookmarks and a lot of them are work related.

Another user had a similar problem a couple of days ago, but was fortunate to have a backup of places.sqlite to restore. See: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/981306 Invisible bookmarks].
When you deleted places.sqlite file and Firefox regenerated your database, it presumably used the most recent backup. I wonder whether the most recent backup contains the same mysterious corruption. Do you want to try recovering from the next older one?
In your profile folder, after exiting Firefox, open the bookmarkbackups folder and move the most recent JSON backup file(s), anything from today, to a safe location (e.g., your Documents folder). Then go back up a level and rename places.sqlite to something like places.wtf.

When you start Firefox, it should rebuild the places database again, this time with that older backup. Any difference?

Why do my bookmarks not show current website pages

I have noticed that my bookmarks on the toolbar seem to go to the last webpage that was accessed by the bookmark and not to the current webpage i.e. one that has been updated since. last using the bookmark Am I doing something wrong ?

On my bookmark toolbar in Mozilla, I have an icon named Azay which takes me
to a website "crostontwinning.co.uk" which I edit and update. Whenever I
update the website and then click on the "Azay" icon, I expect to be taken
to the updated website, but unfortunately I arrive at the
"crostontwinning.co.uk" as it was before I updated it, no matter how long I
wait or how many times I click the icon. The only way I can access my
updated pages is to search for and re-enter the website address again via
google or yahoo etc, which really makes the icon ineffective as a means of a
rapid access to the site.
In Windows Explorer however, I have the same icon on my "favourites" toolbar
which, when clicked, shows my updated website instantly without having to
re-enter the web address again.
I hope that this outlines the difficulty more clearly but please contact me
further if not

Bookmarks not showing thumbnail symbols next to name of site...how to fix this?

I was using Chrome after issues with earlier builds of Firefox, but have recently switched back. On Chrome, Most bookmarks show the symbol (thumbnail?) next to the name as in the search bar, but not in Firefox...most of my Bookmarks are empty boxes next to the name. Any help if fixing this is appreciated.

Nested bookmarks not showing

Running 8.0 I have bookmarks, like most people, nested by categories. Under my main bookmarks I have a folder called sports. Under that are ones for football, soccer, etc. Some of these folders show the bookmarks in them , some do not. I have tried and delete the folder...add it again and add a bookmark but once I get to the nested folder no bookmarks will appear. They do appear if I go into show all bookmarks.

Viewing in the sidebar is easier and more straightforward for me -- most of the time. The only disadvantage of the sidebar is that there is no way to collapse everything at once (subfolders and main folders all at once).
The entries from Bookmarks menu (menu bar) or the Bookmarks button with the drop-down are delayed, try exiting Firefox (File > Exit, or "Firefox" button > Exit -- using the Mac equivalents of those shortcuts), and then restarting Firefox that should update your Bookmarks menu.

Chrome bookmarks not showing up on iPhone Chrome browser

I can see this subject has been beat to death, but I am not getting any results from the fixes I have viewed.
I have tried exporting bookmarks from Chrome on iMac to Safari and then syncing via iTunes.
I have logged into Chrome on iMac in order to sync via the Chrome login and then logged in via the iPhone and can see the same count of bookmarks.
But I don't see them anywhere within the IOS Chrome browser. I don't see any button that says sync, so I am assuming that it is supposed to be automatic. I can't really tell if the sync has happened. What am I missing, if anything?

I agree - I think you can submit feedback about apps if you look at them in the App Store/iTunes on your computer; there should be a link somewhere for contacting the developer to submit feedback.

Bookmarks not showing when bookmark icon tapped

Hi, I have created an ePub and am seeing a problem with it when trying to add a bookmark. Sometimes tapping the bookmark icon in the top right of the book will result in the red bookmark ribbon appearing, but then on other occasions, however much I tap the bookmark icon - the bookmark just doesn't appear.
I have found that this does also happen on other ePubs, so I am wondering if this might be a known iBooks bug.

Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist (preferences can become corrupted)
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist
Click Go
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file to the Desktop.
Quit and relaunch Safari.
Try adding a new bookmark of bookmark folder. If you can, then move the .plist file to the Trash. If not, move it back to the Preferences folder.
If that didn't help, open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to Bookmarks, then reselect it.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a bookmark again.

Saved bookmarks not showing website icons

I have all my saved bookmarks and they all work,but instead of having the little icon of the site,they have what looks like an explorer logo in front of it.Ex.ebay would have the ebay logo in front of the bookmark.

You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.

Bookmarks not showing when log on

All my bookmarks that appeared on my startup page when I launch safari are gone.. they are still in the bookmarks menu but how do I get them back to where they where? I like to have access to them on each page I am on.

Safari - History bookmark not showing - cannot use cover flow

How can I get the Cover Flow to work in History. It did work but since the upgrade I can only get the History list not the Cover.

Ah... that'll be it then, they are 512 x 512. well i guess that bugs been hanging around for quite some time now, anyone got any ideas if anyone's trying to fix it? i guess making 128 x 128 icons wouldn't be the end of the world but it does seem like a step backwards.
one thing that still confuses me... an icon file contains icons of all sizes, why does cover flow not select the right size icon to display?

Bookmark Toolbar entries not showing up in blank space allocated for them under Navigation Toolbar.

Using Firefox 3.6.13 and 4.0b8. Both are not showing up my Bookmark Toolbar entries. The item does exist. I've used Firefox for years and that toolbar has always showed up. Confirmed that it still exists and was not inadvertently trashed by viewing item and listing when opting to Manage Bookmarks. The item is checked off for display in the menu drop-down (View-Toolbars-Bookmark Toolbar), the space where it would normally display my entries shows up directly under the Navigation Toolbar, but it is blank with no entries displayed.

In the View menu select Toolbars, and then Customize to open the customize toolbar dialog. With the customize toolbar dialog displayed, there should be an icon with the label "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" on the bookmarks toolbar. If it is not there, drag and drop the icon called Bookmarks from the customize toolbar dialog onto the bookmarks toolbar. There will be 2 icons called Bookmarks, the one you want will have an icon that looks like a sheet of paper (it does on Windows, I believe it is the same on the Mac).

My PC and IPAD are synchronised but recently I see that new bookmarks made on my PC do not show up on my IPAD

I have a PC with Windows 7 that is synchronised with my IPAD 6.0.1. Synchronisation work fine for a while but now I see that when I add or modifiy bookmarks on my PC, it does not show up on my IPAD.
What can I do.

Is it possible that the person who sent the message to your phone sent it to your phone # instead? Try sending a message to your phone via the email address and see if it shows up on the iPad.
