Books in Australia - anyone received theirs yet?

I'm just about to order my first book and curious to know if anyone in Australia has received theirs yet?
Are you happy with the quality? What was the time frame between ordering and getting it in the mail?

Well my large hardcover book arrived and all I can say is WOW! The photos look fantastic. The print looks like it has been printed by a proper offset ink printer (not a laser, dye sub or bubble jet that's for sure).
I'll try and post some pictures of the book here (as well as some of the originals) later today.
It took my book 19 days to arrive (14 business days) and I had 60 pages in my book.
If I only have one criticism: the colour reproduction of the dust cover is slightly desaturated - a satin-type paper which may have influenced this. Next time I may just bump the saturation on the cover a little. The other pictures look JUST like they do on-screen and my monitor is calibrated.

I hopped on the Apple Store app as soon as I could to order it. It said the delivery date range was 4/24-5/8. The confirmation email had a 3:03 EDT timestamp.
Interestingly, the 38mm model that I ordered at the same time arrived on the 24th, so there must have been something about the larger model or strap that delayed it a bit. I also noticed that the Apple Store app began working a few minutes before the web site, which may have made a difference.

Has anyone received their C2D MBP with 3GB RAM?

For those that have ordered a 15" C2D MBP with 3GB of RAM:
a) have you received their order yet, and if so, did it take a while to ship (mine's taking forever to ship);
b) do you feel that the extra 1GB was worthwhile paying for in terms of performance under programs such as photoshop CS2 etc.

Yes, I received my 15-incher with 3gb of RAM and 160gb HD. I ordered about an hour after the store came back up with the updated specs on 10/24, it shipped late on 10/26, and I received it on 10/30.
I've not tried CS2 - I have that but currently run it on my Dell desktop. I'll be migrating my photography workflow over to the Mac next spring, when Adobe univeral binaries become available, at which time I'll replace the Dell with a Mac Pro.
I can say, having started working with the Aperture trial and Parallels running Windows XP (to which I have a gig of RAM dedicated when running the VM), that the extra memory seems to make a significant difference. I'm not at all sorry I bit the bullet for that extra gig - especially since Apple's price vis-a-vis that upgrade seems very reasonable relative to the aftermarket memory providers.

I did the trade in for the 6...I mailed my 4s in over 3 weeks ago and still no trade in credit...and I can't seem to get anyone at Verizon to give me an update, even telling me that they received my trade in...has anyone received their trade in credit?

Anyone in Northern VA receive theirs yet?

Mine arrived in Dulles last night, no updates since but I have heard all different theories....

The web tools are horrible. It says we have a "VOD Outage" in our area but it's far more extensive than VOD. They really need to provide a nice simple web page with a list of outages. It would lower their support load and their customer frustration level tremendously.
Now on hold for 31 minutes...

Has anyone received their nMP that was scheduled for Feb. Shipment?

I'm just asking because I ordered mine in the first week of Jan. and it still says "available to ship February" yet February ends on Friday. I was wondering if anyone else that ordered around the same time as me has received any update on their February shipment date? Or received the nMP altogether?

Ordered mine New Year's day. Still haven't reccived it. Heck, the status still only shows "Feburary" on the page. I've had the amount pend and then expire. Received email saying ship in two days (Received that Tuesday). Still no charges pending and no shiping information. Of course Apple can't tell me anything. Bit frustrated to be honest. Waiting impatiently. :-) WAAAAAA! I want my computer. :-)

Anyone received their ATI X1900 G5 (Quad/Dualie)?

I placed a pre-order. OWC now says shipping is another day out.

I might be causing more harm than good, especially for myself! I have asked this a few times and never got a conclusive answer. In my search for a mac associated G5 x1900 i came across the above URL'd card. Its description is PAL/SECAM.
However putting the bits'n'pieces together then perhaps we can conclude:
1. The x1900 card from Macheaven is for the PC.
2. It is listed as a PAL/SECAM perhaps because it has a tv output, hence tv standards apply.
3. If you've spent 15 years in DV then i'll go with your you.
This means since no uk etailer has the card, either i just need to wait some more (whats another month on top of the 13 i waited so far). Or if the card is global in standard then i can import from California.
Jorgen - Is it true that a UK and US Apple cinema displays are interchangeable, assuming the supply voltage is equalised (converted if not dual-voltage) ?
I understand for CRT's there is a hemispherical difference between North and South latitudes so i was thinking this would not apply for flat panels, nor would the TV standards apply as the signal comes from the (same) mac source... thinking aloud...

I presume everyone will get them at random times throughout the day, with the East Coast possible being first because of the working hours for the deliverers. Found out mine is actually coming by FEDEX and some have told me theirs will be coming by USPS. So can someone who first receives a phone please let the rest of us know? Thanks!

It's approx. 9:45 AM here in Virginia and I have a black 32G 3Gs in hand. I'm so hapy with it! It's my first iphone. I went to my local Apple store and waited approx. an hour in line and paying the $300 was worth everything! I just love it!!!
All the basic features seem to be working OK. I can surf the web and I was able to jump on my local home network; it found it and automatically asked if I wanted to join it. Loaded some apps.: Sirus/XM - incidentally, Howard Stern doesn't seem to be on the available. I'll have to investigate more on this. It'll be a bummer if he's not accessible on iphone sirius. The camera and video works great. The Apple staff at the retail store here in Fairfax, VA's Fair Oaks Mall were great! It was painless and they were very accomdating. They even served coffee and bottled water and some fruit bars while were waiting in line. Go Apple Go! What a beautiful puiece of machinery. Everyone good luck. Goodbye Verizon.

Did anyone get their Melissa Etheridge pre-order yet?

This is very frustrating. I keep checking for purchases and nothing. No email either. It's 11:30 am PST and I could have gotten it at Best Buy by now. Did anyone get theirs yet? This is the second week in a row that the pre-orders are very late. Used to be I'd get the email the night before and be listening to my pre-ordered albums way ahead of their general release.
So I just got an email from iTunes support asking me to send them my billing address so they can "test" my account.

Anyone received lollipop update yet? Web says it has started.

Word on the Web is the Ota has started to be pushed out. Has anyone received it yet? I'm in Louisiana and have not. Software update still says up to date. Verizon Wireless Customer Support This is a repost with a better title to open up more discussion if possible. Just curious to see if it was a test run or if it's running in phases.

Several have already reported issues with 5.0.1 on the G3, so I'd be leery of being in a hurry.

Has anyone received Final Cut Studio 2 yet?

I just noticed that the Apple Store now says that Final Cut Studio ships in 3-5 business days. I've got one on order and I'm waiting anxiously--has anyone received it yet?

I just got it. Really cool, absolutely worth the price.
Only downside is the same legacy interface of Final Cut Pro... It's what pros are used to and I didn't expect a radical change but the truth is that FCP is the only with an OS-9 carbon feel (just look at the dialog windows, icons, etc.). It's not just a matter of eye-candy it's also a matter of usability and coherence with the other apps -born in OS X- of the Studio (Motion, Soundtrack, etc.). Let's hope this will come in version 7.
