Books photo WYSIWYG in Book Preview vs. Book pages

my phtos appear differently in the book preview under the “order book” section vs how they appear on the book pages in the program..
the differences are subtle..but very important..colors brightness, clarity etc...
my basic question is...which is more accurate...more WYSIWG....the appearance on the book preview pages...or the appearance on the Aperture
book pages in the “create a book’ section..

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. That feature only works in a one of the themes, Folio. There were others in iPhoto 6 like Yearbook that had that feature but those are no longer available.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Preview Aperture Book in Full Screen

Hi,
I'm working on a Macbook Pro 13" and would like to view my photo book in full screen so that I can get a better look at it before I send it off for printing (the inspector takes up 1/3 of the screen which limits the size of my book pages). I recently moved from iPhoto to Aperture, and I'm sure I remember previewing my books in full screen in iPhoto. I'm sure there is a way to view the book pages in full screen in Aperture, but I can't figure it out. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Back in December I ordered two books via iPhoto. They were for my mother about my father who had recently passed away. As I went through the process, I observed that two of the photos indicated low resolution. Rather than delete these two particular photos, I took a chance on them. Also, during the process I observed that a couple of the B & W photos appeared like "negatives", I switched them around or used smaller "frames" When I was done, only the two color photos indicated any problems. Turns out these turned out fine but some of the black and white photos printed like negatives even though they didn't appear like that on the screen after being adjusted. I am not one for returning things but I would like to know if there is any recourse, as this was not for me and it definitely has significant sentimental value.

All I can say is the books I've created as gifts to my children for their children were received with absolute joy and appreciation (each book chronicled in pictures the first year of each grandchild's life). Granted the sentimental factor had a lot to do with the recipient's enjoyment of the book but they were spetacular. The book with its glossy dust cover is a very impressinve way to present your photos.
As Larry has pointed out so many have posted here that they were very satisfried with their book and Apple is very good about correcting problems.
To make sure there are no errors in the book before you order preview the book as described in this Apple document: iPhoto '11: Preview a book, card, or calendar before you order or print it. If the PDF file shows no errors, either in text typos (my biggest problem) or in missing photos, etc., the printed book will be error free.

I printed a book for a relative a couple of years ago to celebrate his 21st. then this year his younger brother also turned 21, I printed a new photo memory book and used some of the photos in his older brothers book in this new one. Those photos that were used in both books came out fuzzy in the second one when they were fine in the first one. Why could this be and can it be rectified?

Did you use different versions of the photos or different sizes? Have you now used a different iPhoto version? The book templates changed between the versions.
Compare the printed book to the PDF preview of your book. The printed book should look exactly as the preview, see: iPhoto, Aperture: Previewing an order in iPhoto or Aperture

HT1040 Previewing a book in Aperture

In previewing my book as a PDF in Aperture, the wrap-around dust jack displays the title of the book just fine. However, the hardcover book does not display the title correctly. It only shows the top of the letters in the title. Is there a font size maximum requirement?

In the middle of creating a book in Aperture I need more photos. How can I add them to the browser at this stage?
You can add more images to your book, by dragging them from the browser to your book album. Switch to the Library Inspector, select the album or project with the images in the source list, and then drag these images onto the book icon. That will add them to the book album, and then double click the book album again to continue working with the book.

Want to Buy Book in iPhoto 9.4.3 told 1 page had photo missing but not so. Changed page to 1 photo only

I want to buy an iphoto book but each time I click on button BUY BOOK I get the message that 1 or more pages have no photo which is not the case. It shows me one particular page with exclamation mark and I have changed the layout to even ONE photo but still get the same message. Tried various different layouts but still the same. Then I tried to preview the book like LN described "Assembling book" came up, blue bar finished but then nothing.
When the preview fails, your book contains a photo that cannot be processed. So it will not help to try to send it Apple, SafeMode or not.
You have to find out, which of your photos is causing the problem. Is there a partial preview, so you can check, how far the preview proceeded, before it crashed? Is there anything suspicious in the pdf you saved? Any photo not looking like it should?
I'd try to make a duplicate of your book (select it in the source list, then use the command "Photos > Copy".
Delete half of the photos from your book and try again to create a preview. Does that work? if not proceed with deleting photos, until you hit the bad one, that will make the preview crash.
Then replace that photo in your original book.

Are you buying from the correct Print Products Store? If you are using the wrong store, your AppleID may not be valid.
Is the Print Products Store set correctly in iPhoto Preferences > Advanced? It should be set to the same country as your billing address and delivery address, and match the settings of the Apple ID you are using.
And you are using iPhoto '09 or '11, right? you can no longer buy books from earlier versions.
When you reenter your settings as LarryHN described, don't forget to enable Express Checkout. It is required.

Depends on exactly what you want to transfer:
The Original files: Export from iPhoto on the MacBook (File -> Export, set the kind to Original) and copy the files to the iMac. Then import to the Library on the iMac
The Edited files: Export from iPhoto on the MacBook (File -> Export, set the kind to Jpeg or tiff, note the options for adding metadata to the export) and copy the files to the iMac. Then import to the Library on the iMac
Both and all the Metadata: Link the two Macs together and use iPhoto Library Manager

Try to boot into Safe Mode and order this way, or sign into a different user account and try to order as a different user.

Message on computer for eReader says "This computer is not authorized to preview this book" but it is authorized and I've bought the book. Am trying to access information that will tell me how to retrieve books that I've tried to delete from the reader (but appear to have deleted from the computer).

This is typically caused by file corruption. Delete and redownload those songs if doing so is free in your country.

Soory, no, it is not possible. You can only combine multiple copies of the same book into one order.

I have just finished one and changed the cover photo the same way I did on any page. Bring up the page, right click on it and then click on Remove Photo. Then just drag the photo you want into the empty space. You have to have the phot sidebar up on the right side to do this. Hope this helps

It doesn't appear under the iPad device on the left-hand sidebar of iTunes, you need to select the iPad device on the sidebar and then select the Photos tab on the right-hand side of iTunes e.g.
