Books Purchased On iPad
Can you sync Apple digital book downloads with other computers?
Yes, as long as the other computers are authorized to the iTunes Store account via which the iBook was purchased. Just use the Transfer Purchased from iPad command and don't allow iTunes to sync. See this support article:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848?viewlocale=en_US
Alternatively, once you sync the iPad to your primary computer and have the iBook in iTunes, you can then copy the iBook from computer to computer via file sharing or removable medium. Again, the other computer will need to be authorized to the iTunes Store account before it will be able to sync the iBook to another iOS-based device.
Regards.

Books purchased on ipad not syncing with itunes
I have a purchased around 20 or so books on my ipad. I bouth them over time. The books that I purchased earlier in the year synced as normal and show up in tunes. The last 10 or so books will not show up in itunes?
Do they copy over if you do File > Transfer Purchases (File > Devices > Transfer Purchases on iTunes 11) ? If they are still in the store thne you should also be able to re-download them on your computer via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page.

Unable to transfer to iMac books purchased using iPad
I have several books on the iPad that are not synced on my computer. I tried to sync the books using iTunes but I get a message saying that the books on the iPad will be replaced by the ones on my computer--to me, this means that they will be lost. Does anybody have an advice for me as to how I can backup/synch/transfer books from iPad to iMac??
My ultimate goal is to setup iPad to use iCloud and the ability to synch media (Inlcuding books) on all my devises. I need to update the iPad to v 5.1 (from 4.3.5) and I receive a notification that all media will be removed. I would like to keep the books purchased using the iPad though. I appreciate any ideas or help.I found the solution on a discussion board related to iPad. Here is the answer: "With your iPod Touch connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPod Touch/iPad."

Cannot sync / downlaod audio book purchased on ipad
I purchased the audio book version of Ecce Homo on my ipad via iTunes. Unlike music, it has not appeared on my iPhone and has not synced to my pc. How can I transfer it to my iPhone without purchasing it again?
Is the AudioBook in your iTunes library on your computer?
If so, transfer the AudioBook to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process. Not sure if AudioBooks are included with the automatic downloads option, but apparently not if you have this option enabled on each device. -
HT203433 Can not read book on computer that was purchased on iPad
Book purchased on iPad, shows downloaded on Mac (Mt. Lion) all software updated. Book can not be opened on this computer. Authorized computer. Tell me I do not have to pay additional fee or upgrade to some other Apple trap.
Ibooks are only for ipod touch/iphone/ipad.
They have never been available to read on a computer. -
i purchased 2 books for my iPad and they downloaded successfully. They show up in iTunes when my iPad is connected to my Mac but do not show up on the Mac. Is this a synch issue? When I click the Synch box I am warned that downloads on my iPad will be erased. Is that true? My ultimate goad is to be able to read the books on my iPhone as well. Thanks.
You should be able to copy them to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases and you can then sync them to the iPhone (or you could re-download them directly on the iPhone)

I purchased a book on my iPad 1 with iOS 5, and can't see it in my library on my iPad 2 with iOS 7.1.1 how can I sync this book without having to repurchase?
You should not have to purchase the book again. Are you looking in the purchased section of the iBook Store on the iPad?

Why when i buy books on my ipad, when i log onto the store it does not show that i have purchased them?
how many books and songs were therefore lost when i had to wipe my ipad?
this is SHOCKING from Apple... this is not in my domain of settings!!!In the iBooks application on the Mac, there is a checkbox to sync highlights and notes across devices.
I don't see a similar setting in the iBooks app on my iPad. It may require iBooks on the Mac as a mediator.
Also:
Can I highlight text and make notes?
Yes, iBooks includes built-in Highlight and Note features. Highlight any word or passage of text within a book. You can also create a Note from your highlighted selection. Review your Highlights and Notes by tapping the Table of Contents button and then tapping Bookmarks. Highlights and Notes appear in their own section under Bookmarks. -
Can I transfer a book I have downloaded onto my Mac in error? I purchased a book meant for ipad only. Silly me. Could I for example transfer it to my wifes ipad - if so - where would I find it on my Mac.
Mac OS X 10.9 can read the book. Do you have that?
iOS will not run on MacBook Pros. -
Can I share books purchased from Apple with other IPad users
Can I share books purchased from Apple with other IPad users
You can share them this way:
Suppose you and the person you're trying to share with (I'll call her Jane) have two separate computers with two separate Apple IDs. Each of those two computers have a current version of iTunes.
You could copy your book from your version of iTunes over to Jane's. How you do that depends on what types of computers you have, etc.
So now your book is sitting in Jane's iTunes. But you own the book, so Jane cannot access it. What you have to do, then, is authorize Jane to access the book you bought.
You do that on Jane's computer in iTunes by going to Store > Authorize This Computer in iTunes' menu. Enter your Apple ID and password there.
Then once Jane syncs her iPad to her iTunes, she will have access to your book. -
I am unable to download my purchased book to my ipad
I am unable to download my purchased book to my ipad. Can you please advise?
I have been asking this same question for two weeks now...ever since I upgraded to iOS 5. I have backed up, synced, deleted iBook app then reinstalled, restarted iPad, reinstalled newest version of iTunes with and without firewall on my PC...all of this several times. ALL other apps work fine, but iBooks will not download from iCloud
No one has replied here, and apple support has sent me links to pages describing how to do all these things I've already done!
I still have NO access to any of my iBooks orbPDFs (75+). I hope someone can help us. This is extremely frustrating. Ive had to repurchase ebooks from other vendors so I can complete my university assignments. -
I updated to version 6.0 on my iPad and did not back up my iBooks. I lost all access to books purchased. How can I get them back?

I purchased a book on itunes but it won't allow me to download the book on my ipad. It allowed me to download the book on my computer, but I don't know how to transfer it from the computer to the ipad. Can anyone help me?
You should be able to re download the book on your iPad.
Try here > Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
On your iPad tap Settings > iTunes & App Store
Swipe down and make sure Books is switched ON.
Purchased books should appear when tapping the iBooks icon now.
