Boot identity not valid.
Hi, when im trying to start one of my managed servers im getrting the error boot identity not valid.
We tried to create the boot.properties with current admin passoerd and user name. Still server is not coming up.
Few weeks before we configured the node manager for the machine. We got this error when we are trying to start through startMangedweblogic.sh. as we are no longer using nodemanager for this domain.
Plz sort out the issue.. Please refore the error log generarting

Hi,
1: remove the boot.properties file completely from the managed server directory.
2: remove the ManagedServerDir/data/ldap directory completely.
3: Always keep backup of files before removing it.
4: Now try to start the server from the command prompt and provide the username/password used to login to the Admin Console.

Initially, I only had the admin server in my domain. My application was targetted to the admin. Eventually, I created a new managed server so that my application would be targetted here and my admin server would just be dedicated to its admin tasks. Starting the admin server is fine and it uses the same boot.properties file in my root directory (user weblogic). But when I start my managed server instance (which is in the same root directory), it complains about the boot.properties ! I assume it uses the same boot.properties file. Any insights ? Thanks.Hi,
You should know the right username and password, so you have to edit boot.properties by hand.
Remove user and password entry and re-insert them.

Weblogic 10.2 ,Windows xp prof
I have only one admin server (portal domain) and my application is targetted to admin server only. When I am startting my server the server is stopped forcedly with following exception.
If any have same kind of problem and solved it. please share the solutioin or reason for this :

So I entered task manager and killed all running java process and MY domain started sucessfully.

Hi,
When I try to start up the WebLogic server by running a startup script
in the WebLogic server root directory, I am getting the following
error:

What may have happened is that the boot identity (e.g., the "weblogic" user) is no longer in the realm. Or, you added a second authenticator which has a Control Flag of Required but the weblogic user cannot be found there.
If it's the first scenario, add the weblogic user (and his inclusion in the Administrators group) to the data store for your authenticator.
If it's the second scenario, you need to change the Control Flag to something less drastic such as Sufficient. In this case, you can't make the change in WebLogic Console since you can't boot your server. Have a look in config.xml and see if your newly created authenticator is listed there. If it is, change the Control Flag and try to reboot the server.
Otherwise, copy config.xml.booted to config.xml and start your server. You'll have to re-do your security realm changes, though.

Please note that before ADF Security Configuration, I was able to run my jspx pages.
I have condifured ADF security as follows:
'ADF Authentication and Authorization' model
Form-based authentication with default login and error pages
No Automatic Grants
Redirect upon successful authentication - one of my jspx page (which was rendering fine before ADF Security Config)
Also is it possible to temporarily disable ADF security?

Thanks in advanceThis error usually occurs on Weblogic server when identity store is changed. Basically the default admin user name password which is used by weblogic when u start with startWeblogic.cmd does not work.
so this is definitely not an issue of ADF Security.
You can remove ADF security from your application from the same menu which you created ADF security. Third option removed all security configuration. Before that you may want to copy your jazn-data.xml and keep it for backup.
boot.properties is to be created in domain\servers\AdminServer\security if present just edit it and

When you run the server it will encrypt the contents.
But as i see it is not an issue with ADF security and unless you have changed something in weblogic console realm providers not an issue with weblogic also.
Easy solution is to clode Jdev and delete defaultdomain in : C:\Documents and Settings\user\Application Data\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.2.36.55.36 and satrt Jdeveloper. Your domain will be automatically created.

The question is, How to solve "The certificate is not valid and cannot be used to verify the identity of this website" error?.
Here are the details:
I have a signed applet that has been working fine, until I updated Java to 8u25 (1.8.0_25-b18). Now, the application shows an alert message "Do you want to continue? The connection to this website is untrusted". There is a note in this message too, "The certificate is not valid and cannot be used to verify the identity of this website".
The applet is loaded without problems. But when the user tries to use a specific function of that application, the warning message is displayed.
I've checked the java console when this happens, and this warning message is displayed right after these lines:

security: Invalid certificate from HTTPS server
network: Cache entry not found [url: https://sub.domain.net:9876, version: null]
The application is downloaded from a different domain, say "https://app.domain.net/ .....", so no jars are downloaded from "https://sub.domain.net:9876 ", but the applet connects to "https://sub.domain.net:9876 " to send/receive data.
The applet is signed correctly, and so far, it meets all the security requirements according to Java. This issue seems to happen when the application tries to connect internally with an HTTPS url like https://sub.domain.net:9876. That sites' SSL certificate is valid, issued by GoDaddy and has not expired.
Again, this started to happen after updating my JRE to 8u25. I've tested adding the offending URL to Java security exception list, with no success.

This is the warning message displayed:For what it's worth we discovered what the issue was. When we installed the new certificates onto our servers we also discovered that you have to install the certificates of all intermediate servers listed in your certificate. This mean that all URLs listed on your certificate, have to have the intermediate certificate for the certificate authority installed. This also includes all the Alt Names of your domains, even if they do not use the applet.

Can't solve "valid signing identity not found" issue
Hello,
I'm having a lot of trouble getting an app to build properly. I'm using the Corona SDK, but I believe that my true problem lies here:
It says, "Valid signing identity not found."
I've gone through the process of uninstalling all of my Provisioning Profiles and reinstalling them numerous times but still haven't solved this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to my question. I am under the assumption that my build issue has something to do with the "Valid signing identity not found." message that appears in the XCode Provisioning Profiles window. In all probability, this is causing my build issue, and it seems like a Provisioning / Keychain issue and not necessarily a Corona SDK issue. I did contact Corona anyhow and I'm waiting for a reply.
If there's any chance you can help me debug the "Valid signing identity not found", I would be very grateful!

I can able to use the dev provisioning after revoking the developer certificate. All the dev certificates are showing modify status. So no issue with any certificates, y becoz all are dev certificates.
Distribution:
I have already submitted one app in the app store with version 1.2. Now, I wanna release 1.3 version, but while installing the distribution provisionings. It is showing "Valid Signing identity not found" error. I don't have choice to take the p12 from my old. Only one option revoke, I think. If I revoke the distribution certificate, will it resolves my issue. If I revoke, can we upload versions for existing one. How can i resolve my issue "Valid Signing identity not found."

Boot.properties not working in SOA 11g environment (Enterprise Linux)
I need to get this working because I want an unattended start-up of the Managed (SOA) server.
Here's the problem...
The Administration server script ($MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/startWebLogic.sh) runs perfectly. I am not prompted for a username or password.
The installation gives me two (different) scripts of the same name - startManagedWebLogic.sh
One of these scripts is in $MW_HOME/wlserver_10.2/common/bin. I've ignored this one. The 2nd one (the one I'm using) is in $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/bin
The proper (single) location of the boot.properties file is unclear to me. I have placed two copies of the identical file (two files - not a link) in $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains and $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain
Each file looks like this:-

If I run startManagedWebLogic.sh from a terminal, I am prompted for username and password.
I enter the username (weblogic) and password (welcome1) and the SOA server starts.
In the unattended mode, the invocation is (effectively) this:-
nohup startManagedWebLogic.sh soa_server1 >mwl.log 2>&1 &
In this case an exception is thrown (weblogic.security.SecurityInitializationException)
It seems quite clear to me that the boot.properties file is being ignored either because there is some configuration value that indicates that it should not be used or, more likely, it's in the wrong place!During start up of the managed server, it looks out for the boot.properties within the server root directory by default. Hence you should put your boot.properties file in the Managed Server root directory.
That may be in your case : $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/base_domain/servers/ManagedServerName/ Directory.
Or else you can specify the location of the boot.properties files using the following parameter:
-Dweblogic.system.BootIdentityFile=filename
where filename is the fully qualified pathname of a valid boot identity file.
To specify this argument in the startManagedWebLogic.sh script, add -Dweblogic.system.BootIdentityFile as a value of the JAVA_OPTIONS variable. For example:
set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dweblogic.system.BootIdentityFile=C:\BEA\user_domains\mydomain\boot.properties

Outlook - The path specified for the file SharePoint Lists PST is not valid
Some users are connecting via Citrix XenApp to Microsoft Server 2008 R2 and using Microsoft Office 2010 (14.0.7109.5000) SP2 MSO (14.0.7116.5000) - Microsoft Office Profressional Plus 2010 x86 version for their email. Microsoft Exchange Server 2010
SP2 for email.
They are connected to Microsoft SharePoint 2010 SP2 August 2013 CU, via a SharePoint Calender; they have View permissions to the SharePoint calendar using Classic Mode permissions (Not Claims). No permissions have / are changing on this SharePoint
Calendar. They connect to the SharePoint Calender to Outlook.
When they open up their Office Outlook client, they receive an error "Outlook Data File" "The path specified for the file \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\SharePoint Lists.pst is not valid." OK
They select OK and they get a window popping up with the option to try to find the SharePoint list. "Create/Open Outlook Data File" (File name: 'SharePoint Lists') Open Cancel. They select Cancel.
They are returned to their Outlook client "email."
As an I.T. administrator and SharePoint Administrator, I had a remote session with them, using Bomgar software and I Go to File Menu, Account Settings, SharePoint Lists Tab but there is no list there so go to the Data Files tab and see SharePoint Lists listed.
Selecting it once, and clicking on Settings... button gives error message similar to the one above about PST not valid.
STRANGE in that, when you do that! You can go to Home tab, Calendar (Ctrl+2), and see Other Calendars and now the SharePoint calendar that was supposed to be there before, but was just "empty!" There was only the Other Calendars
option but it didn't have any "sub" calendar item.
A similar issue is when Other Calendars is listed, and has a sub calendar listed, a SharePoint connected calendar. You click on it and get "Microsoft Outlook" "The set of folders cannot be opened. The path specified for the file c:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\SharePoint
Lists.pst is not valid." OK
Click OK and go through the above steps to get the same result. After going into Account Settings, Data Files, checking on the Settings... button, and receiving the error message, again mentioned above, and the prompt to Create/Open Outlook Data File,
thgen I can go back into Account Settings, Data Files, and double click on the SharePoint Lists and instead of an error, the Outlook Data File comes up, with Change Password... Compact Now, Comment, Name, Filename, Format (Outlook Data File) OK Cancel.
Can go back to the Calendar (Ctrl+2) and Other Calendars, and the SharePoint Calendar "Sub calendar" will appear and operate as normal! All was done was go into the Account settings and "check" on the "error."
Tried to delete the SharePoint Lists and close out and add it and then go back in, and it "worked" for a few days. I later turned on Logging and for over 24 hours it was on for the user. The user was not on forever.
In the Outlook Logging folder, from the users profile, I found many *.log files, firstrun, OPMLog, ETL files, one of which is 6MB, and some prof_001_outlook....txt files. I clickedo n the SharePoint Lists.pst.log file 1KB

They are using a CRM client 2011 (Server is CRM 2011 - on premise) as well as having other connected email accounts - managed accounts, like Accounting or HR, etc.
What can I look for / provide for you all to assist? I am almost ready to open a ticket with Microsoft to resolve this as it has been happening for multiple users for multiple weeks.
When "I" go in, logged on as myself, I do NOT have this problem, however my account is not "old" in that I just logged onto the account domain\matthew.carter, where these users use their accounts day in and day out for weeks / months

Unfortunately, what was marked as an "answer" by the moderators isn't really an answer at all to the problem. We are experiencing pretty much an identical issue with a calendar people are adding to Outlook 2010 from SharePoint 2010 within a XenApp

I am having a very odd problem.
I have recently setup a Mac OS X Mavericks Server for the purposes of NetRestore.
Everything setup fine, no issues whatsoever and the server has been running non-stop for the past 78 days.
I've already imaged about 100 MacBook pros off of this server without a problem.
This morning I come in, start up an MBP that needs to be imaged and it sees the netrestore volumes and attemps to boot to it
then stops and doesn't go anywhere.
I've had my NBI's on an external firewire 800 drive (1TB Lacie Rugged) and its been working fine.
I've checked my logs numerous times and the only error I can find is: servermgrd[584]: FIXME: IOUnserialize has detected a string that is not valid UTF-8, "v\035\363d".
The exact same error keeps repeating every 10 seconds or so.
I read in another forum that sometime Mavericks Server doesn't like NBI images on external volumes, so I moved them to the standard /Library/Netboot/NetBootSP0 folder on the boot volume and turned off the external drive.
I'm able to NetRestore again now, but the process is far slower then it was previsously and the error above still persists.
I've rebooted the server, stopped and restarted the services, made sure no changes have been made on the network, and fully updated the server via software update.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I am running an SQL(CE) script to create a DB. All script commands succeed, but the DB get "broken" after creating the last costaint: after running the script, viewing table properties of Table2 and clicking on "Manage relations" gives the following error: Unable to create foreign key: InvalidArgument=Value of '0' is not valid for 'index'. Parameter name: index. Wondering what does that refer to...

I'm getting this same error message after adding a FK constraint via UI on VS2008 Server Explorer.
I can add the constraint with no errors, but the constraint is not created on the DataSet wizard (strongly typed datasets on Win CE 6) and when I click "Manage Relations" on the "Table Properties" this error pop out:

Even after vreating my table with the relation in SQL the same occurs:
