Bootcamp doesn't recognize Win 7 64-bit iso file

Downloaded the official Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit version from Digital River and tried to create the Win 7 installation media using bootcamp.
The bootcamp assistant automatically selects the downloaded iso-file. But when I click "Continue", I get an error message saying that Boot Camp only supports the 64-Bit version of Windows and that I should use that version.
Why doesn't Boot Camp accept it?
Anyone can give a another link to download the 64-bit version of Win 7 Home Premium?
I do have a valid product key for Win 7 Home Premium, but my installation DVD is only the 32-bit version, that's why I have to download it.

iso file is an image of an optical disc
any burner programs can burn as such to a dvd
bootcamp didn't have any problems installing from my windows 7 ultimate disc which contain both 64bit and 32bit install

I have install Windows 7 32-bit on my iMac couple of months ago. Yesterday i tried to upgrade it to 64-bit( what i mean by upgrade is that i wiped all my windows partition from the iMac side and the started the installation), but when i was done doing all the bootcamp stuff and my computer booted with windows, it says i still run a 32-bit version of windows 7. I'm sure it was a 64-bit version and i have no clue what could be the problemm

Are you sure your Mac supports 64 bit?

Answer this: do you have NTFS for OS X installed?
That is the only time normally though not always that Windows won't show in
System Preferences: Startup Disk: control panel
    > i have upgrade Bootcamp over Win7, i upgrade too Win7
Boot Camp is only Apple drivers.
So other than language, you are running Windows natively. Only.
You don't upgrade Boot Camp. You probably do have Windows updates of course.

You should read the Boot Camp Installation Guide.

And you should visit the Boot Camp forum. You posted in the Snow Leopard forum. https://discussions.apple.com/community/windows_software/boot_camp

  • ITunes doesn't recognize all of my music files

I recently updated to 11.3 - My music library has always been recognized in its entirety up until this point. I am super OCD about it, everything is well organized and all my artwork is in place. For some reason it does not recognize all the music files now, including the fact that I lost some of my album artwork. I went ahead and followed steps (1-6) in re-creating my iTunes library and playlists. After doing this it still doesn't recognize all of my music files. What should be my next step so iTunes shows/sees everything as it did before the update?
    Thank you!

    Yes,

  • Windows 10 64 Bit .iso file won't load.

I have recently downloaded Windows 10, and because I had 32 bit before on Windows 7 it upgraded to Windows 10 32 Bit. I got some new hardware all capable of 64 Bit,
but I can't get the Windows 10 64 Bit .iso file to load. Isn't the mount feature supposed to make it so you don't have to burn it on to a disk. Well I did that and when I click the setup it says, this app can't run on your PC.  Any help?

Make sure your computer is compatible:
For 64-bit installations of Windows 10 Enterprise Technical Preview, a small number of older PCs will be blocked from installing the preview because they don't support CMPXCHG16b,
    PrefetchW, and LAHF/SAHF.
You can not install 64 bit from a 32bit installtion.
You may want to try a USB key: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool

The thunderbolt ethernet adapter works without issue on my rMBP with Windows 7. Did you download and install the Windows Support software? Did you refer to the Windows help regarding networking? Did you try a different adapter? What happens when you try to use Ethernet networking?

  • Acrobat Printer doesn't recognize SWF as a printable file form

Acrobat Printer doesn't recognize SWF (even if a static/single frame file), as a printable file format! Please fix the issue,
I am confronted with 'The file cannot be printed. Please try opening the file with the correct application and printing from there' and The issue is encountered while dragging one/many SWF into Acrobat Printer's  printing list.  Its displays that troublesome  error.
And, please add CRTL+P feature to print an SWF from Flash Player Standalone.

No, that doesn't work for me.  And things seem to be inconsistent.  Where it lets you vary the file size (small/medium/large/actual) when large and actual are the same, it doesn't send the actual jpeg file for windows to open.  When large and actual size files are different when you toggle between the two, the file seems to go through to my windows pc ok.  When I tried this through preview, that's when I noticed this difference, not through just email or Aperture yet.  Help!

  • Iphoto doesn't recognize black and white jpg files

I scanned in an old black and white photo and it is a jpg file. When I try to drag it into iphoto it doesn't recognize the file. I tried changing the file by going to soft proof with profile, checking RGB, saving it and re-importing it but no luck. When I reopen the file, I noticed that my settings never saved in preview.  How do I permanently change this files settings?

a common problem is that you don't have permission to upload those files, but it is an easy fix
    1) Finder
    2) Users(it should have the account name on it)
    3) pictures
    4) right click on iphoto library then click info
5 on the bottom of the new window there should be a sharing and permissions tab
    6) make sure you have permission to read & write
The only other problem I can think is that you are having problems with hard drive space. if so you might want to clean up your hard drive to free up some space. please let me know if that worked for you.

  • IMovie HD doesn't recognize sound track from MPEG1 files

My camera creates MPEG1 files which IMovie HD doesn't recognize the sound track. The Apple Store tech told me to purchase Quicktime Pro & save my files as MPEG4. After doing so IMovie finds no audio source.
Also I tried to reinstall IMovie (not HD) which worked fine, but it won't reinstall.
    What to do?

no, QT can not 'demuxx' ...
and avoid re-installs, MacOsX is not Windows.. ;))
simply download and use for free

    Mpeg Streamclip
open your mpeg1, choose 'dv stream' as export option.. done.

  • CS2 doesn't recognize DNG 5.4 converted files.

Ran the new DNG converter files on Panasonic LX2 RW2 files.  The conversion went well. When I tried to open up the files in either Bridge or CS2 I get: Could Not Complete Your Request Because Photoshop Does Not Recognize This Type of File.
The older DNG converter worked fine.
    Any suggestions?
    Daniel

    Gabor, Simon,
To clarify my earlier (admittedly brief and not very helpful) post, we must be careful to distinguish between the raw image data itself and the (possibly required) processing of that image data. The raw mosaic image data itself from a .RW2 is certainly compatible with earlier DNG versions (e.g., 1.1, 1.2). However, the reason that earlier versions of Camera Raw create linear DNGs, instead of mosaic DNGs, is given in Tom Hogarty's CR 5.2 release notes:
    http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/2008/11/camera_raw_52_and_dng_converte.html
To quote the relevant section directly:
This exception is a temporary solution to ensure that Panasonic and
Leica's intended image rendering from their proprietary raw file format
is applied to an image when converted DNG files are viewed in third
party software titles. The same image rendering process is applied
automatically in Camera Raw 5.2 and in Lightroon 2.2 when viewing the
    original proprietary raw file format.
    In
a future release Adobe plans to update the DNG specification to include
an option to embed metadata-based representations of the lens
compensations in the DNG file, allowing a mosaic DNG conversion.
We can debate what level of processing is required to obtain an acceptable image.
However, the original claim -- stating that "The raw data of several Panasonic cameras did not fit to the imagination of the DNG designers" and then concluding that this is the reason that "the raw data had to be converted in 'linear' format" -- is incorrect.

  • Installed digital camera raw update 3.8, but Aperture doesn't recognize Oly E-P3 raw files

I was excited to see that the digital camera raw compatibility update 3.8 purported to provide support for Olympus E-P3 raw files. I installed it from Software Update, and Aperture 3.1.3 (OSX 10.6.8) still showed the raw files as "unsupported". I restarted my Mac, got the same result. I downloaded and installed the standalone update, and again got the same result. Has anyone else had success with the update?

I found a solution. My E–P3 raw files still showed up as “unsupported” after reinstalling the update from the standalone updater. I discovered that selecting one of the “unsupported” raw files and having Aperture reprocess it (even though it had never been processed at all) made the file recognizable by Aperture and allowed me to make adjustments to it. I then reprocessed all of my E–P3 raw files and the only problem I have noted is that the vertical files were not auto rotated.
In reprocessing the raw files, I selected "only photos without adjustments" and "reprocess existing images". I hope this helps anyone who experienced this problem.

  • Bridge cs6 doesn't recognize my cs5.5 .indd files?

I just upgraded from CS 5.5 to CS 6. When I go into Bridge and double click an old CS5.5 .indd file it tries to open in MS Word. (I find this very strange) If I right click the file and click "open with" the only option it gives me is MS Word. I don't even get that "try another program" button. When i go into InDesign and click file/open the file opens fine. The problem is that Bridge is much faster and I really want to use it. I checked with a coworker that upgraded the same time I did and she is having the same issue only she saves her files to her desktop and can no longer double click to open. Also when she does an "open with" she has multple options but none of them are InDesign. So with that said, I don't think this is a Bridge issue but I wasn't sure where else to post it. Thanks for any help you can give.

Maybe also try the InDesign forum for this.
When you look in to Bridge preferences you have the section 'File Type Associations' and inhere you can select the default application to open the files in. Inhere should be a list of all installed versions of ID visible and you can select one as the default.
Bridge is version specific and it might expect ID CS6 for bridge CS6 but usually it auto selects the correct version upon install. Can you check if the ID version you need is still in the File Type Associations?
And since your colleague has the same problem, are you working on a server environment?
