BootCamp - Win7 x64 Ult - No drivers found

Hi all,
i want to install Windows 7 64bit on my new MacBook Pro i7 and i used BootCamp.
BootCamp make succesfully a Driver-USB-Stick and i have a original Win7-64bit-Ultimate-DVD SP2.
Windows 7 Setups boots and its ok, then set language and contiune.
Then comes a error, no disk-drivers found to find a harddisk.
I search all contents of the BootCamp-Driver-Stick, but there is NO driver to found any harddisk or partition.
I boot up my MAC and the harddisk utility found the new parttion for MS-WIN7.
Please help me to find the right correct driver to install Win7 in BootCamp!
Thx
Gerd

Hi,

In my MBP is only one drive, BootCamp make correct format for Win7, but the Win7-Installer cant find andy harddrive. The setup means i must insert a driver-disk.

  • Win7 x64 Installation on late 2007 MBP+Mountain Lion

    Dear All,
As a long time mac and bootcamp user, I've never expected to face this problem but I've been trying to do this for 3 days.
I'm having trouble installing bootcamp (win7 x64 ultimate) into my late 2007 MBP (2.4GHZ core 2 duo)
Pretty much use the bootcamp assistant from start to finish, tried using install dvd and create boot-able USB stick (by changing the plist.info on the bootcamp assistant package, as my MBP isn't supported.)
With USB stick created by bootcamp assistant, my mbp just simply won't read it even during startup and rEFit startup.
Sometimes it goes into the blank state and says no bootable device.
With win7 install DVD, whenever I use built in superdrive, it got ejected after 2-3 mins,
When I tried using Samsung external dvd burner/player, in place of who-knows dead superdrive, it went into blank screen with only a dash blinking (just like when the first time you start a PC) then disc stop spinning after awhile.
Burned few copy DVDs from extracted ISO (from the orginial install disc) and came up with same results
    Recent changes, current condition,etc:
    - Changed the stock 160gb harddrive into WD500GB blue scorpio.
    - Installed fresh OSX Mountain Lion downloaded from App Store (was Lion) and updated everything.
    - Had the very same win7 on bootcamp 3 installed on snow leopard few years ago and keeping it even with Lion (the exact same dvd!)
    - Superdrive cannot be used to write but can read normally (install DVD shows up normally in OSX environment.)
    - With USB created by bootcamp assistant, rEFit shows "legacy booting" and can't find files inside the USB
    - Installation is working flawlessly on my 2011 iMac.
    - Can still boot into bootcamp on old internal stock hdd (using external case)
    - DVDs burned are Verbatim DVD-R and Sony DVD-R, both are top brands.
    - Burner I tried to burn them are 2011 iMac's, 2012 MBP's, Samsung external dvd burner (all fail to boot on my 2007 MBP)
    - Tried the method to create usb stick on windows 7, still can't boot.
    - Burned DVD using Nero and alcohol 120% on windows 7, still fail.
I wonder if you guys can help me, I'm a designer and I really need to install Corel Draw on bootcamp so I can work on some CDR files on my MBP. And other stuff such as office's finance control program that can only work under windows.
    Thanks in advance!

Found a workaround, to sum it up, it's pretty much my dead internal superdrive (as for unbootable USB, that's still a mistery). What I did was moving the HDD to my 2012 MBP and install from there. The problem is now that since I installed it on another machine (with ofc all different hardwares) I got blue screen whenever I tried to start Windows7 (in 2007 MBP after moving the HDD back there).
Next step will be replacing the superdrive on 2007 MBP with 2012's. Or if someone got a suggestion like installing the drivers via target disk mode etc, please advice

  • MacbookPro 5,4 - Failure(s) installing Win7 x64 using Bootcamp (aka help!)

I'm running a Macbook Pro 5,4 and am having a hard time figuring out why Win7 x64 keeps failing during the install process. I'll start with the failures, then add what I've attempted to fix the problem.
Following the Bootcamp guide exactly, I get through the initial copying, expanding and updating process just fine. The system reboots but never makes it into windows. Instead I get the, "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause." Sometimes it lists a driver (the list is long and seemingly random). Sometimes it lists the kernel (ntoskrnl.exe).
    My attempts at a solution:
    1. The recommendation from MS is to boot to the install disk and run a start-up repair. When I do this, it returns the message, "Startup Repair cannot repair this computer automatically". Dead End.
    2. Because it looks like a possible corruption issue I first tried the cheap route of installing from another disk - in fact I've borrowed two other Win7 Pro x64 disks (all 3 disks I've used are legitimate) and have had the same problem, so I'm ruling out the media.
    3. The system is less than two months old but it could still be the HDD so I ran a check in OS X and it finds no problems. I've replaced the drive twice and the problems with installation remain consistent.
I've run a check on the memory as well - again, no problems detected.
So far I've completed 9 attempts, with fresh partitioning and formatting and have yet to successfully install Windows 7 on this system. In contrast, it was a simple process to install the 32 bit version on my wifes MacBook Air. Am I missing something obvious?

  • Firefox 6.0.1 causes extreme problems with ATI Catalyst 10.x drivers on a Win7 x64 system. When I roll back to Firefox 6.0, no problems. Can this be resolved?

Firefox 6.0.1 causes extreme problems with ATI Catalyst 10.x drivers on a Win7 x64 system. Took me quite awhile to identify, but when I roll back to Firefox 6.0, no problems. Once Firefox recognizes this and reinstalls the 6.0.1 update then severe display driver problems occur causing very erratic display behavior and ultimately rendering the system inoperative. The problem appears to occur within a minute or two after Firefox has been opened and it occurs even if Firefox has been subsequently closed prior to the actual event taking place. I have attempted this 6 times just to ensure that the problem was associated with the 6.0.1 update.

  • P45 Platinum IEEE1394 drivers for Win7 x64

I just reinstalled my PC with P45 Platinum mainboard and everything installs fine with the drivers from the MSI website, however there is no driver for IEEE1394 controller there.
I installed Win7 x64 now, before I installed WinXP and at the time of that installation it installed fine.
I am not using the IEEE1394 controller at the moment but there is a exclamation point in the device manager I want to get rid of.
Can anyone point me to the driver, thnx.

In windows 7 there's no Firewire driver needed it should automatically install it as already integrated. Is it already installed and exclamation mark on it like it isn't working correctly or unknown device?

  • Qosmio F60 and Win7 x64 Drivers

Hi, i just purchased a Qosmio F60:- PQF65A-016002 and did a clean install of windows 7 Pro x64.
But i am now unable to find any drivers for it. i have looked in the toshiba support but it brings up no drivers for my machine.
If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.
    Thanks
    Alastair

    Hello Alastair
Why you have done this stupid mistake as hundreds of other notebook owners?
It is logic to check support at first and be sure certain operating system is fully supported and then installed own OS. Isnt it?
Qosmio F60 is newest notebook and even not available worldwide so you must be careful with support for it. The drivers will be offered soon or later but it can take some time.
    What to do now?
Either go back to factory settings or try to use some drivers for other Qosmio models with similar hardware configuration. Try with X500. It is definitely supported for Win7 x64. Maybe Toshiba tools and utilities can be installed on your F60.
Play a little bit with it. Nothing can goes wrong now.

  • Wheres all the WIN7 X64 drivers

I have a K9N2 sli plat. This is a new build w/ win7 x64. I don't see where all the drivers are. I got a few from drivers on the mainboard page, but nothing useful. I cant run live update since I don't have net on it yet. That's why I'm looking for drivers.
    CM HAF 932
    MSI K9N2 sli plat
    AMD Phenom 9600 BE

    XFX GTS 250
    Seagate 1TBx2

Don't use Live Update, it's best to download manually and then install whatever you need.

  • Stability problems with Win7 x64 and Boot Camp 3.1...

Before I was running win 7 with Boot Camp 3.0 and On top of that I installed my Chipset and Graphics from Nvidias Website. System was running without any major problems.
Now I have win7 and BootCamp 3.1 and the laptop runs like crap... System freezes sometimes only for a minute most of the time I need to hold power button.
The last time I has ScanDisk start on me and start checking. it found about 200 missing files some unindexed and MFT bitmap was repaired...
Do not know why, I'm unable to figure out what was causing that.
Currently I have win7 x86 with bootcamp 3.1 installed and The system works good.
I think there is an issue with the 3.1 x64 driver package.
If anyone has any Ideas on what I can do to figure out why the system runs so unpredictable with 3.1 x64 drivers installed. I'm whiling to experiment and reinstall win7 x64 as many times as needed so i can send an error report to apple to get this issue fixed.

Wow, i've been running windows 7 64 bit in boot camp since I got my copy as a beta tester in July and never had any issues like you're describing. Boot camp 3.0 worked fine (other than the light in the audio port and minimal touchpad control, and the still present inability to dim the screen dynamically based on brightness around me). And I've had no problems with boot camp 3.1 so far. In the previous BC versions, I went to the nvidia site and downloaded whatever the current driver was for the video, but nothing specific for the chipset. With 3.1 I haven't done even that, just using what the boot camp update installed. Have you tried it with just the BC 3.1 drivers, not getting anything extra from Nvidia or anyone, just to see what happens from that point first?
About the only time I had any issues with diskchecking is when I accidentally close fusion and it abends my windows session. I make a point then of booting and telling it to ignore the disk check, editing the registry to reset the flag so it doesn't do it, then just run a disk check from within windows telling it NOT to fix anything, so that it can verify it's clean. I found the normal disk check in the preboot environment is horrendous on the MBP, takes me literally hours to run through despite it never finding anything to fix.

  • Z87-G45 Gaming not able to install Win7 x64 with Samsung 840 EVO

    I have a brand new:
    i5 4570
    MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
    250GB Samsung 840 EVO
    1x 8GB Corsair ValueRam DDR3 1600
I got everything hooked up properly, but I am not able to install Win7 x64 through an USB pen drive (Kingston Datatravel 32GB USB3) I have a proper  official and Legit MSDN ISO, formatted by the Win7 USB tool from MS itself.
Note that i do not have an optical device (DVD) installed so I cannot use it 'the old way'.
Bios settings are okay, everything is recognized
    USB Legacy - Kingston Datatraveler
HDD Legacy - Samsung 840 EVO
Win7 setup loads properly; but before I can select the Harddrive / SSD to install Win7 on I get prompted that additional (3rd party) drivers are needed to proceed. The volume is not recognized. This happens 9 out of 10 times. In the 10% cases I do get the option to format the SSD and/or create partitions. However, installation fails after all, cannot load or find file ...
    What I've tried so far:
Switch out the SATA cables and power cables
Switch through the various SATA ports on the MB 1 through 6
Tried UEFI and UEFI/Legacy (UEFI doesn't seem to work at all)
    Update UEFI to V 1.50
All the above result in the case mentioned.
I have succesfully installed the SSD in an other PC, using the same pen drive and ISO and it worked like a charme, thus ruling out that the SSD, pen drive or image is corrupt.
Even when I switched out the SSD after Win7 setup has succesfully copied, unpacked and installed all the files (doing this on the other machine where it works like a charm). Then switching it to the MSI Z87...it fails; starting the setup procedure right from the start, like nothing was ever written on the SSD...
Finally i turned to Win8, and guess what, it installed without any glitches on the MSI Z87
What am I missing here, I would really want to install Win7 instead of Win8
Forgot to enable / disable something in the UEFI? I really don't know, google doesn't give much information on this specific problem (SSD is recognized properly by the BIOS / UEFI as far as I can tell)
The only thing I have not tried out so far is updating the Samsung SSD firmware to the 1.0 version which has been release 3 days ago...
    Any clues, tips, hunches??

Quote from: Bernhard on 25-October-13, 18:33:41
Did you disable Secure Boot in the BIOS? If not, then Win7 won't load.
Hmmm not sure, thanks for the reply, will have to look into that later today!
I didn't change it from the default setting I think, unless it is part of the Win8 features in the UEFI. All where disabled by default, and I kept them disabled.
Where is Secure Boot listed in the UEFI, and any idea wether it is enabled by default?
    ::EDIT::
Found it in some screenshots, I cannot recall from the top of my head wether it was enabled or disabled, allthough my gutt feeling says it already is disabled.

  • PrE-10 Will not start in Win7(x64)

I sincerely hope this is not redundant, but I have spent days on this forum looking for answers, but with no luck. I have seen many similar questions, but none of the 'fixes' proposed are relevant, or do not work for me.
    History:
I have been running PrE-10 since its release, on Win-7(32-bit). I recently had a system crash after installing Windows-8 Beta and had to wipe my hard drive and start from scratch. This time I loaded Win-7 (x64). All my original apps I had stored on an external drive. Some re-installed, some not. I had to re-download PSE-10, and PrE-10 as 64-bit apps.
PSE-10 and the associated Organizer, work fine as before. PrE-10 however does not start. I get the splash screen, with the options of NEW, OPEN and Organizer. Of these, only Organizer opens. The other two options either bring up a Windows Error box 'Pre-10 has failed to start', or it just sits and does nothing.
It is not a system limitation as I have far more than the requirements needed to run it and as I said, it worked fine in the 32-bit version, and nothing else has changed (that I have input), so I am baffled.
As I said, I have done many of the proposed fixes I have seen on the forum, if they are pertinent to my system, and even some that were not. I have now completed the reinstallation of most of my applications, and so far only PrE is causing a problem, but it is very important to me as I am working on a project that requires it.
I have done a Belarc report, but I do not see a link to upload it. I see links for images, videos, tables and weblinks, but nothing for files (pdf). I will attempt to load it as an image and see if this works. I do not want to post it as text or HTML as it is 7 pages long! (Nope, it does not insert). Perhaps someone can tell me how to upload the file.

This is frustrating! I just answered this post at length, but when I posted it it disappered!
Guess I have to start over and hope for the best!
    Is that an HP laptop?
No, it is a desktop. However it is an HP 'hybrid'  all-in-one, and uses a lot of laptop hardware and software to keep the low profile case.

Otherwise, unless I missed it, I do not see mention of your graphics/video card brand/model and driver number
This is why I asked how to upload the Belarc report! Too much info to post.  Here is the Graphics info.

Check the ATI or nVidia or ??? website to be sure you have a current driver
Another interesting story, that! Nvidia/GeForce does an auto detect and correctly identifies the graphics card, and sends me to a link to upgrade the driver. The driver page says it is for Vista x64 and Win7 x64 (even its long name has 'win7-x64' in it). I download and attempt an install, and it comes back with "you are running Windows 7 64-bit. This driver is for Vista only. Installer closing." I went back and tried 4 other Win-7 x64 drivers, all reported the same thing, even though they state on the site they are for Win7 x-64. I then went to the Device Manager and tried to update the driver, but it reported using 'the most current driver available'. So I uninstalled the current Nvidia driver, which put me into VGA mode. I then went to Windows Update and did a search for updates. It found a missing Nvidia driver and called it 'Nvidia Driver for Win7 x64'. I downoaded and installed it and my system returned to normal 1440 x 900 display. I checked the driver info and it is the same driver as the original, including the release date, so apparently the original driver was in fact x64 compatible, and there does not appear to be an updated driver for it.
Also, for laptops... if that is what you have

  • IOGear KVM + Apple aluminum keyboard + Bootcamp + Win7 - SOLVED

I've read many posts from people who had the same problem I encountered: the Apple aluminum keyboard does not work with the IOGear KVM on a Mac under bootcamp. Everything works perfectly on all other PCs, and everything works perfectly on the mac with bootcamp/win7 using any keyboard other than the apple aluminum keyboard.
The symptoms are that the mac/bootcamp/win7/ combination simply does not seem to recognize the apple aluminum keyboard: the caps lock light does not work and typing seems to do nothing -- although the keyboard still works to toggle the KVM between systems. With some hardware combinations, the keyboard may be temporarlily recognized after a cold start, but the problem always returns with switching between systems. I first noticed this behavior with Win7 and the bootcamp upgrades (in my case, 3.2). In my case the problem occurs with a wired aluminum keyboard, but I think a wireless keyboard would exactly the same.
I have found what I believe is the root cause and the solution.
    =========
    The cause
    =========
The cause is a failure to properly detect the type of machine attached to a KVM port: by default, the KVM auto-detects which kind of machine is attached to each port and auto-switches that port to PC mode, Sun mode, or Mac mode. Usually this works fine, but something in the latest OSX/bootcamp/win7 drivers causes the Mac to appear to the KVM as a PC, so the KVM attempts to present the apple keyboard as if it were a PC keyboard.
I'm guessing that this whole issue might be associated with the new ability for bootcamp to let you switch the behavior of the top row of function keys between apple behavior and PC behavior -- which obviously introduces an emulation layer -- but I could be wrong. If there is anybody who has this same problem without bootcamp installed then it could be a more generic driver issue. Fortunately that doesn't matter, because the solution is the same in either case.
    ============
    The Solution
    ============
All these IOGear autoswitching KVMs share the same logic, so this method should work for all. The manual for one of the simpler models of IOGear KVM is available at www.iogear.com/support/manual/GCS634U.pdf
The first thing to know is that the manual is incorrect in its description of how to use the numeric keypad to enter hot-key-mode (HKM): the manual says to hold down the "clear" key for 2 seconds, then add the "-" key for one second, then release the minus key and the clear key in quick succession. Unfortunately, this technique rarely works: one second is much too long to hold down the minus key. Instead, hold down the "clear" key for a few seconds, then just tap the "minus" key as quickly as you can, and then release the "clear key." You will see the LED flash on the capslock key, and you are now in HKM mode and can change settings on the KVM. To fix your problem you simply need to execute (HKM) (F2) on the proper port as described below.
First switch your KVM so it shows the screen of the Mac where you are having keyboard recognition problems: the correct port will now be "active" on the KVM. Put the KVM into hotkey mode and press F2 -- this will override the default autodetect setting for this port, and will set it directly to Macintosh mode. Your keyboard will immediately be recogized (and the capslock light will work!). The KVM will remember this until you change it or reset it to its factory configuration.
If you need to troubleshoot you can use another hotkey combination to print out the current settings of the KVM: open a text editor and position the cursor inside it for typing, then execute (HKM)(F4) -- the KVM will "type" its current settings. Here are mine on a 2-port KVM immediately after setting my Mac Mini port
    = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
    hotkey:
    (num lock)+(-) and (ctrl),(ctrl)

    port1 pc
    port2 mac
    kb:
    port1 english
    port2 english
    = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
It took me two whole days to research and test and resolve this problem, and I've read many other posts from people who couldn't find a solution & went out and bought new keyboards or different types of KVMs. I hope this posting can help somebody else avoid that difficulty.
    Good luck!

  • MBA Mid 2012 - Bootcamp Win7: Headset Mic not recognised in Win7

    Hi,
I have a MBA 13" (only had it about a week...). I put bootcamp on and Win 7 x64 ultimate. All is working really well except when I plug my headset in, Win 7 only recognised the headphones.
I have tried this in OSX and the mic work, its an Iphone compatible headset, so not only does the mic work but the volume buttons on headset work also. However, when I plug this in when in Win 7, no external Mic is detected.
Any ideas? I've tried reinstalling the Bootcamp audio drivers, no change. Unable to locate any online either...Cirrus Logic CS4206b (AB 86).
I have seen a few of these posts online, but from about 2 years ago... has this been fixed yet?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Thanks for your reply. The issue is with Windows, but it appears to be due to OSx drivers from bootcamp, that does not detect both input and output from the headphone jack. There are no drivers required, I have used this headset on various other Win7 x64 machines.
As above, it works fine in OSx, it is just that bootcamp drivers for the soundcard do not include that the hardware on my MBA allows both input and output from the same jack. Ms dont supply drivers for Bootcamp.
    Thanks.

  • Rocket Raid 2314 & Bootcamp Win7

I have been trying to get an eSata card to work with my 2009 Mac Pro and its been nothing short of nerve racking.
I tired the Rocket 622 but that would not recognize PM (port multiplier) cases or boot to Windows 7. Highpoint assured me that they would upgrade the drivers but I can't wait. NewEgg has a 30 return policy. So I did some research and it looked like the RR2314 would work. I returned the 622 and ordered the 2314.
Out of the box it Kernel Panicked allot. I installed the drivers from the website and it stabilized in 10.6.2. All seemed good, until I tried to boot into Windows 7.
I hold option when booting, select Win7 partition (internal drive not on esata!), screen goes black, and nothing.
If anyone has any idea how to fix this please let me know. I am really tired of throwing money to get some type of eSata backup system and seeing it fail. (This has become like a 6 month nightmare. I got stuck with a bad case, etc...)
I have 11 more days to RMA this with NewEgg. I would rather see it work.

    1. I updated using my aunts computer which I had because I was cleaning it up. It happened to have a PCIe slot. I updated the drivers and disabled all the fancy boot options but that did not work.
2.I do not recall a boot screen from the card. Weird. The computer booted normally while the card was installed. (To WinXP)
    3. My original partitioning was: Apple Provided 650GB HD split to 500GM jHFS+ and 150GB NTFS. Windows XP CD would not boot while the card was installed. I didn't bother trying the Win7 CD. I have had absolutely NO problems with bootcamp when there is no eSATA card installed. The installs must be ok. I have installed XP, Vista, and later Win7 on this Mac Pro. All worked flawlessly this past year. I have booted many times into Win7 prior to installing the card. I did consider something funky with the boot sectors. I moved all my data off one of my 1.5TB internal volumes, reformatted, moved my OSX boot volume there via CCC, partitioned and formatted the 650GB internal as NTFS and gave Win7 the entire drive.
Something else is amiss here. I have checked the computer up and down and I seriously doubt there is an issue with the computer. I ended up sending the RR2314 back. My time for RMA was running out. I am thinking about getting the RR eSATA as that runs EFI and should (theoretically) be ignored by Win7 at boot. The only problem I have is that I am out $70 so far with restocking fees and shipping back to newegg. I am abit hesitant to order the RR eSATA because of this. It will cost me another $30 if it doesn't work. And there is no guarantee that it will be supported come 10.7.
Thank you for taking the time to help me. I really appreciate it. You gave me quite a few avenues to try when I though I had run out of ideas. The one thing I didn't try and I regret not finding this out till after I sent the card back was that the RR2314 and RReSATA both share the same chipset. There is a possibility that the RR2314 could be flashed with the RReSATA EFI. Again I didn't try this as I just found out last night after I returned the card.
I will keep this thread open in case I decide to try the RReSATA card. If I can help someone else and possibly save them money it would have made this nightmare worth it.
For anyone out there that does not need bootcamp support the Sii3132 card that comes with the TR4M
http://bit.ly/6k4jIg works beautifully with the Sonnet drivers found here http://bit.ly/3A8jJK
The drivers show you all the drives in the case but do not provide any type of RAID. For a cheap solution that works this is it. If however you try to boot into another OS it will not work. Also you will not have boot support to OSX from a drive connected to the eSATA. You will also not have access to your data if you need to boot from the OSX install DVD. (Unless you hack the DVD, which is not all that hard. Or install 10.6 to a USB drive and install the drivers to that.)

    HELP - PS CS6x64 Liquify Crash Win7 x64
    current version installed: Photoshop_CS6_13_0_1_3_upd
current version when viewing About: 13.0.1
Liquify tool works, but crashes after closing Liquify window.  A simple 5x5in 72 DPI file will cause it to crash.
    nVidia GTX 680 current drivers.
    Deleting Prefs did not help.
Step 1. Hold down the Alt + Ctrl + Shift keys as you click on the icon to open ps. When asked if you want to delete the settings file, say yes.
Step 2. Reset the preferences as above.
Step 3. Close ps and let the file regenerate.

We have seen similar problems in house. We found the 335.23 and 334.89 drivers can cause crashing or hanging on Liquify exit. But the 332.21 driver seems to work without problems. The 332.21 driver is available from the NVidia website.
We are working with NVidia to resolve this.
