Bootcamp Windows 7 bluetooth mouse not working

From my macbook air with bootcamp windows 7 my bluetooth mouse is not working.  It was working before and it still works fine under mac os but I don't know why it's not working anymore under Windows 7.  I also tried to find bluetooth from control panel or device manager but bluetooth is not showing.  Anyone can help me to solve this problem?  Thanks.

getting blue tooth device to work after install
iMac 21.5 inch OS X Lion (10.8.4), Bootcamp 5 install of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
At the end of my install, I noticed that Bootcamp was not available from Windows (e.g., no hidden taskbar
icon). Other issues with missing USB drivers. Magic mouse worked ok, except the trackpad-like swiping
features were absent. Ran setup in the BootCamp folder of the thumb drive (not the setup in the thumb
drive's root directory), which indicated it was a continuing install (guess somehow the first one stopped
prematurely), installed all the special Apple etc. drivers for the Bootcamp interface with Windows.
After restart, all the troubleshooter warnings for USB devices had cleared, but Magic mouse was not
communicating with system.
Attached a standard Microsoft optical USB mouse.
Then, in Windows control panel > devices and printers:
right clicked the magic mouse's icon (was labeled apple-username's mouse)
selected Services tab
(Bluetooth Services refreshes, then shows checkbox for Drivers for keyboard, mice, etc (HID))
check the checkbox
Windows installs the driver and the magic mouse works with all its features in Windows.
incidentally, noticed that had lots of internet cutouts with both wi-fi and lan connected. maybe an issue
with my ISP, don't know, although issue only apparent in Windows, not Mac OS X.

All my drivers are up to date, my mouse has new batteries, and I tried this fix:

    Hi everyone!
I had problems with my new Rapoo 6080 mouse, it didn't want to work with my laptop anyhow.
The connection was successful, but the cursor was dead, and in a few minutes Windows removed the mouse connection with the following error in Event Log:
Initial connection to Bluetooth HID device failed.  The device has been removed as a personal or paired device.  You must reinstall the device.
I called Lenovo techsupport, they have referred me to this thread.
Now I have found a solution, that might not be perfect and requires some skills, but IT WORKS (at least for me). I have installed Toshiba bluetooth stack on my laptop, replacing the drivers from Lenovo.
Toshiba has ceased support for other manufacturer's devices in their stack, but a little fix of VID and PID values in tosrfusb.inf file did the job.
Not sure if I should provide details on how to do the whole process, as it requires some skills and accuracy. I guess those who are familiar with Windows will find their way.
BTW, the stack I downloaded is not latest, it was version v80012T_20110809_x64. But I guess the latest may also do the job.

  • Bluetooth mouse not working in Mavericks

    Hello
After upgrading to OS X Mavericks, my bluetooth mouse stopped working. The OS can see the bluetooth mouse and it connects to it, but after "mouse connected" it doesn't work, i get no mouse response at all. Tried some other users solutions but none of them work. I've tried the bluetooth mouse in other computers and it is working fine.

Restart the computer holding down the command - option/alt - P - R keys before the gray screen appears. Continue to hold until you hear the startup chime for the second time.
    Reset NVRAM/PRAM
Try a SMC reset. The article covers when this is required, but doing this will not affect anything.

  • Bluetooth mouse not working from sleep

Have had this problem a couple of time's nothing major but annoying when i have woken the comp up from sleep or restarted the mouse will work as a pointer only clicking is not recognized only way to to it working is to turn mouse off and on

    HI Karl,
When you wake you Mac from sleep mode, it can take about 5 seconds for the system to recognize any wireless devices. Just move the mouse around slowly on the mouse pad for a second or two.
    Also, in System Preferences/Keyboard&Mouse/Bluetooth. Select this box;
Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer.

  • Bluetooth Mouse not working properly

I have a MAC bluetooth mouse and recently the scroll wheel only works to scroll up, left and right, but not down. I have tried turning off/on the computer, force quitting the Finder, turning off and on again the mouse. Nada...
Any thoughts how to fix this?

This is a common fault with the MM. There are many threads on this. Certainly googling will gives you plenty of results!
The best solution I found from a tip was to remove the batteries or turn it off and then rub the mouse upside down on a clean piece of white paper. Move it in all directions - 360 degrees.
Carefully though so as not to put too much pressure on the buttons.
After a while look at all the dirt on the paper which has been transferred from the ball.
Turn it back on and voila! A fully functioning MM.
    Try it! You'll be surprised.

  • Windows 8 Mouse Not Working

The mouse on our Toshiba Windows 8 laptop suddenly stopped working. The mouse does not appear on the screen with all the panels, or the desktop. But it does appear on the login screen and the screen with all the user options. This problem is only occurring
on the admin account. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could fix this problem?

I have encountered this problem on several recent patches on three different machines: two laptops and a desktop.  After reading other related pages in TechNet, my best guess is that the installation of a patch causes Win8.1 to rebuild/reload/or-otherwise-muck-with
its USB drivers, and sometimes this process fails to complete properly. Sometimes the problem resolves itself after another boot or two. Sometimes the problem reappears with some really nasty behaviour (e.g. having the mouse randomly shift around the screen
-- in one case wreaking havoc with my partner's Outlook files).  Often it's only a partial failure of the mouse, e.g. on my laptop I usually just lose the use of the left-mouse button.  Eventually I'm sure MS will track down this bug (or bug-cluster)
and fix it but in the meantime I'd suggest the following workarounds:
    1.  If you're using a laptop with an external mouse, unplug it whenever it misbehaves and shift to using the touchpad or whatever mouse-replacement is builtin to your laptop.
    2.  If you're using a desktop, purchase an inexpensive backup mouse.  Not a bad idea to have one of these anyway -- mice don't live forever so if your "main mouse" is misbehaving your first port of call should be to try another one!
    3.  Having a spare keyboard is also a good idea IMHO.  I haven't experienced keyboard failures myself -- thank goodness! -- but other threads in TechNet complain about this, and I *suspect* it's a closely-related issue to the mouse failure.
Anyway; if you have a working keyboard and some wizardly person is nearby, they'll know all of the strange (and hard-to-remember!) tricks for driving a Windows box solely from the keyboard (after unplugging the misbehaving mouse ;-)
I *suspect* that all of this difficulty arises because the Windows team is trying to address some security problems (e.g. the possibility that some malicious software might be monitoring -- or even controlling -- your mouse or keyboard, if you don't
have good anti-virus protection on your box) and/or because they have overshot a bit when trying to minimise the boot-time on a Windows box.  A fast boot-time is a very desirable feature but -- of course -- if the existing boot-image is
defective or stale, and this defect isn't detected & repaired during the next boot, this defect could manifest as a malfunctioning USB device (or in many other ways...)

  • Bluetooth mouse not working after upgrade to Yosemite

I have an early 2014 Mac Pro. I'm using an Apple Magic Mouse with it, purchased around the time the Mac shipped at the beginning of May. I have another Mac and mouse combination nearby, but no other Bluetooth devices in the area.
Two days ago, I upgraded the OS from 10.9.9 to 10.10.2. Before the upgrade, I never had a problem with the mouse's connection dropping.
After the upgrade, the mouse started dropping its connection regularly. At first, it would restore right away. Each time, it took a bit longer to reconnect. Now, it won't reconnect at all.
What do I have to do to get these Apple products to work nicely with each other? At this point, I'll need to run out and get a wired mouse. If I don't Apple's own software upgrade will have bricked my very expensive machine...

Have you tried disconnecting and powering down all peripherals except monitor, mouse and KB to help determine if interference from those is causing the problem.
Next I would try another BT KB simce maybe a defective KB.
You can also make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store and bring the Mac and KB.

BTW, there is no 2104 Mac Pro desktop. The latest is still the late 2013 Mac Pro.

  • Bootcamp windows 8 installation not working

Hi everyone, I am trying to install windows 8 in my MacBook Pro late 2011 13". When I try to install windows 8 everything goes just fine but expect there comes an error saying "please load driver" driver cannot be found. I literary tries everything but nothing seems to work. Btw I used 2 USBs to install windows 8. 1-bootcamp drivers and 2-windows 8 bootable USB. If anyone knows how to fix this problem please post the answers.
    Thanks Apple Community!!!

You can start the Windows installation because you have started in EFI mode. You can install Windows in this way, but you won't be able to install Boot Camp drivers and you might have issues, so I don't recommend you to do it.
You don't need any additional driver during the Windows installation, and this is probably caused because your Macbook Pro isn't designed to install Windows in EFI mode

    hi erabbath,
    Welcome to the Forums.
If you have the Intel Centrino N2230 Wireless + Bluetooth adapter, can you try to:
    1. Navigate to the Control Panel (large icon view) > Devices and Printers and try to pair a bluetooth device (i.e. Bluetooth Headset) and observe if it gets detected under the device list.
    2. If the Bluetooth Headset is listed but it's not working try toright click on it > choose Properties. On the bluetooth properties Window, go to the Services Tab and check all the appropriate bluetooth services.

Problem : System Freezes frequently on any hardware scan or changes.
Symptom : Wireless Keyboard Mouse not working.
    Caused by : VMkbd.sys located in C:\Windows\System32\drivers.
Issue : VMware player or VMware Workstation installed on Windows 8.1 causes compatibility issue leading to system freeze
Soultion : Please follow steps below
    Step 1: Start > run > regedit
    Step 2: Locate to this registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e96b-e325-11ce-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Step 3: On the left side plane, Right click on the registry {4d36e96b-e325-11ce-BFC1-08002BE10318} and then export it as backup. Just to be safe.
Step 4: Edit the UpperFilters, The value current would be kdbclass vmkbd. Remove the vmkbd. So only value left would be kbdclass.
Step 5: Restart your system and connect your USB wireless reciever. If all is well it will not freeze your windows now.
This worked for me. Hope this works for you. Enjoy..!!

  • Volume for bluetooth devices not working

I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones and since updating to Yosemite 10.10.3, I have not been able to control the volume of them with the volume keys on the keyboard or the volume in the menu bar 99% of the time.  I have once gotten it to work and have no idea what I did for it to work.  If I take the volume all the way to 0, it does mute the audio and the mute key still works as well.
Changing the volume manually in individual apps (such as with the slider in Spotify or in a youtube video) works but thats only when I use the mouse to move the volume slider.
I've done some searching around and it seems like Yosemite has numerous Bluetooth issues... I even had the horrendous screeching noise in 10.10.2 but that seems to be fixed now.
    Mid 2009 Macbook Pro 5,3

I cheated and installed Windows 7 RC. ^.^
But something you can do is:
    Click on the Start menu
In the search bar look up 'Services'
    Open up Services
    Double click 'Bluetooth Services'
In the 'Log On' tab check to see if 'Local Service' or 'Use This Account' is highlighted
If 'Local Service' is selected then you're SOL and you're best bet is to re-install Windows. That's what was selected on mine and no matter what Account I set it to Bluetooth would not work. I even tried re-installing the Apple drivers from the OS X disc.
But if 'Use This Account' is selected than I would look into the normal Bluetooth settings, as the problem is most likely there. You can also call MS and have them screen share with you, the guy I talked to said if 'Use This Account' was selected he could do more for me.
Anyways hope this helped a bit.

  • Bluetooth Mouse stops working after software updates

    Hello,
I've been using a Bluetooth mouse with my X220 Tablet for several months now. After fiddling with device manager to ensure that the Thinkpad Bluetooth device does not have the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" setting set, things were working perfectly.
However, after running through some windows & Lenovo updates, the mouse now seems to work for a while, but after any idle time, the mouse stops working. Turning the mouse off & back on seems to cause it to reconnect, and it works until the next time it goes idle for 2 minutes.
I've gone through device manager, and made sure both the Bluetooth & USB Root devices are set not to power down (per http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/Bluetooth-mouse-stops-working-from-time-to-tim... ), but still no luck.
The software updates applied from the Lenovo System Update tool were:
    ThinkPad Power Management Driver: 1.67.04.05
    ThinkPad Power Manager: 6.64.4
    Lenovo Solution Center: 2.4.002
    Intel G1/G2 Display Driver: 9.17.10.3347
Also, some windows updates  which don't seem related (mostly security), but I can lookup the list of KB numbers if helpful.
Are there any known issues with the power manager updates that might affect this? If so, what's the best way to revert to the last working version?
    Thanks!

Try doing a PRAM reset and see if that helps, also put in new batteries as that may make a difference.

  • Bluetooth mouse stops working when adding a printer: 10.10.2

    Hi,
I'm using a MacBook Pro 2012 Retina, upgraded to 10.10.2.  Since upgrading to 10.10.2 I have been unable to connect to my Canon MG6150 that is plugged into the USB port of the Time Capsule (3TB).  Those problems will be detailed in a separate post.
I have tried deleting the printer and creating a new printer and when I click on the + and get the window to select a printer, the bluetooth mouse stops working - the message comes up to show "Connection Lost".  I have to select the printer manually and only when I have returned to the main Printer window in Settings & Preferences does the mouse connection work again.
Weird.  Between this and not being able to set up the scanning features again (that used to work), I'm feeling underwhelmed...

sounds like an IRQ conflict. See if disabling plug and play in the bios solves it. Arch's kernel provides this already.
