Bootcamp, Windows 7: EN option not showing up in input method selector
Hi,
I added a Japanese and a German input method on my Bootcamp Windows 7 install.
For some reason only JP (Japanese) and DE (German) are shown as options in the input method selector - but no EN, which should be the default...
In the settings the EN entry is shown however:
EN English (United States)
+-+ Keyboard
+ United States (Apple)
JP Japanese
+-+ Keyboard
+ Microsoft IME
German (Germany)
+-+ Keyboard
+ German (Apple)
When starting up, the German keyboard is activated and there is no way to switch back to the English one.
When adding another English keyboard, US for example, an EN option is shown - but it selects the normal US keyboard and not the "United States (Apple)" one...
Any idea how to solve the problem?

Could you please explain a bit for the system compression in cleanmgr?
I only seeing the option under the drive properties for Compress this drive to save disk space, and I never heard of the new '' system compression".

Windows (tool) panels are not showing.
Windows (tool) panels are not showing, or letting me use most of the tool features. e.g. when I klick windows>align but no align window shows up, even though it is ticked in the 'Windows' drop down menu. This is the second time this has happened since subscribing. Help!

It may be time for the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save curent artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

My photostream in windows 7 PC does not shows any pic. when i click on slide show it start showing me slide shows of pic but when i try to copy files i cant do as no photo is viewd in list mode. This problem has arised since IOS is updated.I reinstalled my icloud and checked if icloud sharing is ON. I can see pic in my photo stream in PC only in slide show mode. Hi all. I can’t tell you how to solve your iCloud 3.x issues. Heck, I don’t think they’re even solvable.
But if you had a previous version of iCloud that was working correctly then I can definitely tell you how to solve the “iCloud Photo Stream is not syncing correctly to my Windows 7 PC” problem. …without even a re-boot.
Log out of iCloud 3.0 and uninstall it.
Open My Computer and then open your C:\ drive. Go to Tools/Folder Options and click on the View tab. Select the “Show hidden…” radio button and click on OK.
Open the Users folder.
Open your user folder
Open ProgramData (previously hidden folder)
Open the Apple folder – not the Apple Computer folder.
Open the Installer Cache folder
In Details view sort on Name
Open the folder for the newest entry for iCloud Control Panel 2.x – probably 2.1.2.8 dated 4/25/2013
Right click on iCloud64.msi and select Install.
When finished, the synching between iCloud and your PC will be back to working perfectly as before the 3.0 fiasco. The pictures will be synched to the same Photostream folder as before the “upgrade”. Now all you need to do is wait until Apple/Microsoft get this thing fixed and working before you try the 3.x upgrade again.
I think the iCloud 3.0 software was written by the same folks who wrote healthcare.gov with the main difference being that healthcare.gov might eventually be made to work.
For those of you who hate to go backwards, think of it as attacking to the rear. Which would you rather have, the frustration of no synching or everything working on an older version?

Why would the new trackpad options not show up after upgrading to Lion and downloading all of the updates? It's not as easy to get between full screen apps without the ability to swipe.
2008. That's probably why. I didn't realize that it only supported a couple years back. You'd think they could fix something like that in the software...

I can't download the Adobe Premiere Elements 13. Akamai Download pop up only the download window but downloading do not start. Alternate download Method will start but downloading will stopped always after 655 Megabytes. I have tried with different browsers, fire wall and virus protection off and also to download the trial of Adobe Premiere Elements 13 but result is every time same.

failure to obtain that cookie results in an error page being displayed after clicking a link on prodesigntools.com or initiates the download of an incorrect (eg, current) version. -
Windows 8.1 do not show DISCONNECT option for VPN, why? bug? Please fix!!!
I created a VPN connection. Once I connected to the VPN in Windows 8.1, it does not show DISCONNECT option when I click on the VPN again. It just keep showing CONNECT option only. Why? This has to be a bug! Please fix!

Is the connection an incoming VPN connection?

To disconnect an incoming VPN connection, follow these steps:
Open Network Connections. To do this, use either of the following methods:
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, or point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search. Then, type ncpa.cpl, and then click the Ncpa.cpl icon.
Press Win+R to open the Run window, type ncpa.cpl, and then click
OK.
Right-click the incoming VPN connection that you want to disconnect, and then click
Status.
On the General tab, click Disconnect.
Close Network Connections.

Updated mavericks and now my bootcamp windows 7 partition no longer shows up
Hello and thank you in advance for the help!
This problem started when I updated my Mavericks. My start up into the windows side of my computer is normally a bit slow but works never-the-less. After installing the update to 10.9.5 my windows partition first gave a screen where it would ask me to press enter to get into the windows side of the computer but the keyboard did nothing so I restarted the computer. Thereafter, my windows 7 partition no longer shows up when I press option from start up or from system preferences > startup disk. I was able to find the partition on the target disk mode which leads me to believe that the partition is damaged somehow. I have some of my data backed up, but not all of it. What is the best way to make a data recovery and get my windows partition operating again?
I have also tried all the basics like PRAM and starting up from Safe mode but I cannot see the windows partition anywhere except for when I open the target disk mode from my other computer.

3D option not showing up for me in Photoshop!?
Hey guys, I'm using my Photoshop CS6 Extended & I'm trying to utilize the '3D' effect feature, but it's not showing up where it should be.... I been following video tutorials & such online from other users of my same photoshop version, & I'm seeing where there 3D option shows up, but it doesn't for me!
Also I have tried going to Edit>Preferences> Performance .... the Graphics Processor settings section says, " No GPU options available with Photoshop standard", the 'Use Graphics Processor" option is not checked in, nor is photoshop allowing me to select this option ... when I run my cursor over this section the description box at bottom reads, "Photoshop detected an error in your display driver. Update or reinstall the driver and check Use Graphics Processor to retry."
I'm not sure if the above mentioned information is relevant or not, but from what I've gathered through my online searches it MAYbe... figured I'd include it incase it is relevant to speed up the troubleshooting process.

Join CD tracks option NOT showing up in iTunes 11.4
Once again, Join CD tracks option refuses to show up when I am trying to import an audiobook CD. The tracks are sorted consecutively by track Name, I am selecting all the tracks, and the options menu upper right of the window does NOT show Join CD Tracks.
I have separately and together varied the following: toggled the compilation CD box off and on;
restarted iTunes;
switched from one CD to another in the same set;
change the 'type' from 'spoken & audio' to audiobooks to music to unclassifiable
and still no joy.
I have used Join Together to join tracks from Audiobooks but if starting from individual tracks, CD by CD, there are always a few chapters out of place. I need this first step to work.

You need to sort consecutively by track number for the Join Tracks option to be available. -
System Compression option not showing up in Disk Cleanup tool
I am trying to give the new "System Compression" option in cleanmgr a spin but for some reason it is not showing up on my system. I have installed Windows 10 TP into a small partition on an eSATA hard disk, leaving my internal HDD for Windows 7,

Windows 7 boot key not showing up in boot menu.
I have installed the Windows 7 ISO to a flash drive to use on boot up, using the instructions here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5488789?tstart=0
I have a Late 2009 iMac and the optical drive is broken; that's why I had to use those instructions and intend to use a boot key. However, when I boot up with the option key, the only options presented are Macintosh HD and Recovery HD. No Windows boot or EFI boot to be found. Does anyone know why this might be? I have gone through the partitioning process in Boot Camp Assistant. I really don't know why it's not showing up. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I can't think offhand of why it would not come back like this (but if you have configured ZPM to use content-repo to store its bundles I would recommend getting http://download.novell.com/Download?...d=f0VuQBxq8DI~ as that fixes problems where a patch isn't cached, even though it thinks it is). Does the patch status tab show any errors? Otherwise we're basically going to need to look at logs...
