Bootcamp windows 7 usb won't work

I have a Macbook Pro 9,1 (mid 2012) non-retina 15". I have recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit. The bootcamp version that I used was 5.1.5621.
Everything seems to be running properly, my keyboard (including apple buttons), trackpad, etc. The problem is my USB ports. Nothing I connect to them functions at all. My mouse, external HD, and USB flash drive are not recognized by Windows at all. Only the external HD seem to even get power. My mouse functioned fine during the Windows install and is lit up until about halfway through the "Setting up Windows" boot screen. After that the power is cut to it and will no longer function.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled bootcamp twice now, but nothing changes. I have to use a Microsoft uninstall fixer because when I try to uninstall bootcamp from the uninstall screen, I only get "change" and "repair" as options. I tried to repair as well, but after it finishes and my computer reboots, nothing is different. I am unsure if there is an installation issue because I can't easily uninstall it or if bootcamp just naturally works that way.
Everything works perfectly on Mavericks.

Glad you got it solved, BTW there is a Boot Camp forum if you ever need it. You can find it at:

  • USB won´t work with Canon software

Since the last couple of OS updates the USB ports on both my iBook G4 and G5 Dual(older model) won´t recognise Canon´s Digital Photo Professional`s Capture utility. Since this is the only software that can control the aperture, shutter speed, ISO etc. from the computer - it is really important to me.Can anyone please give me advice how to get rid of the updates?
    Thanks

I am also running Windows 98SE as one of my operating systems. I had a heck of a time getting USB 2 to work, but here's how you do it: Put the CD Driver and Utilities Disk in your CD/DVD drive. Go to USB\USB20\Win9x-ME\Intel. That's where the inf is that you need.
You will have 2 USB entries under your Device Manager in Windows 98SE. If you have a yellow ! on your enhanced controller, point it to where I said and it will update the drivers in your system. This worked for me.
I'm attaching an Orangeware driver link that you can download and install first. Then update the driver after reboot and point it to the location above
    http://www.orangemicro.com/bin/USB2/Setup.exe
After your update you will see an Intel Ehhanced USB 2.0 Controller and a USB 2.0 Root Hub under the top entry USB set under Device Manager.

  • Bootcamp Windows 7 bluetooth mouse not working

From my macbook air with bootcamp windows 7 my bluetooth mouse is not working.  It was working before and it still works fine under mac os but I don't know why it's not working anymore under Windows 7.  I also tried to find bluetooth from control panel or device manager but bluetooth is not showing.  Anyone can help me to solve this problem?  Thanks.

getting blue tooth device to work after install
iMac 21.5 inch OS X Lion (10.8.4), Bootcamp 5 install of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
At the end of my install, I noticed that Bootcamp was not available from Windows (e.g., no hidden taskbar
icon). Other issues with missing USB drivers. Magic mouse worked ok, except the trackpad-like swiping
features were absent. Ran setup in the BootCamp folder of the thumb drive (not the setup in the thumb
drive's root directory), which indicated it was a continuing install (guess somehow the first one stopped
prematurely), installed all the special Apple etc. drivers for the Bootcamp interface with Windows.
After restart, all the troubleshooter warnings for USB devices had cleared, but Magic mouse was not
    communicating with system.
Attached a standard Microsoft optical USB mouse.
Then, in Windows control panel > devices and printers:
right clicked the magic mouse's icon (was labeled apple-username's mouse)
    selected Services tab
(Bluetooth Services refreshes, then shows checkbox for Drivers for keyboard, mice, etc (HID))
    check the checkbox
Windows installs the driver and the magic mouse works with all its features in Windows.
incidentally, noticed that had lots of internet cutouts with both wi-fi and lan connected. maybe an issue
with my ISP, don't know, although issue only apparent in Windows, not Mac OS X.

  • BootCamp + Windows 7+ Firewire  Doesn't works

Hello I'm trying to connect an external HardDrive using the firewire in Windows 7, using macos it works fine using both USB and Firewire, but in Windows 7 I can only use it with the USB, the firewire doesn't works, I plug it and it doesn't runs, it does nothing.
I'm using the first model of MacBookPro 13" with Windows7 Pro 64bits.

Apparently you did not read the Bootcamp Install and help manuals. There is no Windows Support Software download for Snow Leopard. The Windows Support Software (drivers) for Windows in Snow Leopard are located on your Snow Leopard Install Disk.

  • Acrobat X XI Windows 7 just won't work

I don't know if this is the appropriate place for this question, there doesn't seem to be much of an altenrative.
I attempted to use a trial of acrobat x pro some months back but was not able to get the product to work no matter what I tried (installing reinstalling etc etc ad nauseum)
Acrobat 9 works fine without any issues.
    Acrobat X will not work
Today I've tried xi pro - I thought great, maybe it has been fixed; however, I have the same kinds of issues. All the program dialogue boxes are misshapen, bits are missing and I have to resort to task manager to shut them down as they won't otherwise. There's also weird looking - big, misshapen text that has 'crossed out' lines through it - one lot mentioned security certificates.
I'm attaching a screenshot of the kind of dialogue box I get.
I'm using CS6 as a trial, though I've purchased the PS subscription.
    I'm using windows 7 64 bit
I plan to purchase the full CS6 next year as a student, but theres not much point if it won't work,,,
I'd love a solution to this.
    Thanks

Thank you so much, I don't think I would have ever found that post - and it worked, I'm extremely grateful for your help, you've made a big difference to my day

  • Satellite C50-A-157 Sandisk USB won't work in Recovery Media Centre

I can't get Sandisk Cruzer USB to work in Recovery Media Centre. Have tried formatting but no luck.
I read on another Toshiba forum that Sandisk USBs don't work and that you have to use a different brand.
    Anyone know if that's true?
    Thanks

To be honest I dont think that all Sandisk USB flash memory stick dont work in connection with Recovery Media Creator. But of course due to some compatibility issue between the device and software, it could be possible that an USB flash memory stick would not be recognized.
I never experienced such problems with my Recovery Media Creator software.
I could create a recovery medium using two different USB sticks from two different manufacturers. One of them was a flash memory stick from SanDisk.

  • Using Time Capsule with Windows 7. Won't work when modem connected directly to Time Capsule, must be connected through another router.

Apple Time Capsule working with Windows 7 PC will not work when modem is connected directly to the Time Capsule.  Only when a Cisco Linksystem is connnected inbetween the modem and the Time Capsule.

Sorry but it needs much more specific info than this..
What modem? Is it cable or adsl or some other?? Is it pure modem or broadband router included?
Cable has specific issues different to adsl.
If you used to use the Cisco/linksys router.. and have not reset the cable modem it will not work. Turn off the cable modem.. it must be powered down.. if battery backup drop out the battery. Remove the coax cable.. get it off. Power down everything else in the network.
Plug in the modem to the TC wan port.
Power up the modem.. wait 2min
Power up the TC.. wait 2min
    Power up the clients.
If it has worked you will now be able to open the airport utility on the windows computer and see the TC has a public ip on the WAN port. If not redo the whole thing but leave the modem off.. 15min.. 1 hour.. 1 day.. ring the cable company and ask them to reset. Usually a few minutes is enough.
If you have a modem with combined router.. then bridge the TC. Just google search it.
For other combos.. tell us specifics..

  • Bootcamp: Windows 7 x64 won't see my graphics card

    Hello everyone.
A few months ago I bought a brand new iMac 21,5 2013, been loving it.
I used Bootcamp to partition my HDD yesterday, and installed Windows 7 x 64 on a small 250 GB partition.
A bit sloppy, but works fine. The problem is, I could play Games like Skyrim on ultra without any lag on Os X,
but Windows doesn't pick up the graphics card (Intel Iris Pro 5200), it keeps saying I have a standard VGA adapter.
I tried downloading the latest drivers from Intel, but I get an error message saying that the computer does not meet
the minimum requirements to install the software. I installed Windows so I could play Cabal Online, and this is really bugging me out.
I've already installed the bootcamp support drivers, but it's still not working and still "don't have" a graphics card.
Please, someone help me, I'm really starting to get annoyed from all this.

with bootcamp you want to get the latests drivers from apple not intel
the osx bootcamp app should have given you the oppotunity to make a driver pack but you can also download the zip file from apple directly
    http://support.apple.com/downloads/#macoscomponents
not just with your video driver but likely if you have problems with other stuff you need those drivers too
if the root setup.exe don't work for you then you need to navigate to the sub dirs to get the drivers you wish manually
if a iris pro 5200 can play skyrim very well I can't say
seem youtube is full of videos showing what performance one can expect of these various low range video cards setups

  • Windows PC suddenly won't work with Airport Extreme

Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated. We had a storm this past weekend....had to reboot the modem and Airport Extreme. Two of the three computers were back on line with the Airport instantly: my G4 and a Dell PC. The third computer (my work computer and the one I'm writing this posting on) can't talk to the Airport anymore. Have never ever had a problem before. Getting "limited or no connectivity" status. Did "ipconfig" and not getting any reading on DNS Suffix or Default Gateway. My ISP won't help me because I'm not renting their wireless router from them. Please help! Thanks in advance!

  • Bootcamp windows 7, trackpad doesn't work

I've installed windows 7 ultimate on my partitioned mid-2010 macbook pro running snow leopard.  When I tried to download the drivers while going through the bootcamp process, it said they were "unavailable."  Now that I'm running windows, I'm finding it impossible to right click anything, and the two finger-scroll functionality is not working either.  How can I fix this?  I've tried two finger tapping, putting down two fingers and clicking, option+click, etc.  The trackpad will only function as the left click.  Thanks

Apparently you did not read the Bootcamp Install and help manuals. There is no Windows Support Software download for Snow Leopard. The Windows Support Software (drivers) for Windows in Snow Leopard are located on your Snow Leopard Install Disk.

  • Windows 7 Setup won't work on Lenovo B560

My Lenovo B560 Laptop was slow to a point it would crash a few minutes after login, and after restarting one day it would blue screen when I tried to start it up in safe mode, last known good configuration and startup repair. Everytime I would boot to my Windows 7 install disc for Lenovo it would get to the Disc Partition select screen and just stay there loading. I had my hard drive taken out and reformatted and when trying to install windows 7 again, it gets to the Disc Partition select screen and just stays there loading. This screen only loaded once, and it got to the unloading windows files and stayed there. How do I get the setup to go all the way through?

Your hdd may be in trouble, please check the state of your hdd by using and of the hdd diagnostic tools(bootable ones should help)

  • Bootcamp - Windows installation disk won't read

I have a late-2011, 13 inch MacBook Pro and I am running OS X 10.9.3 with all the latest updates. I am trying to use Bootcamp to runs windows but the windows disk isn't be read by my laptop. I run Bootcamp, it downloads the latest support software but when I put the windows installation disk in; it starts to spin up, makes some noises like it is being read, then it ejects the disk. Anybody have this problem, or now a way around it?

I have about 8 different burners on my systems, and some will read DVD's better than others will. On my workstation, I have one LG and one Plextor. The LG does the best, and when it fails, the Plextor usually can read. When this happens, I just do a Copy from the drive that can read the disc, to the other drive, using Verbatim, or Taiyo Yuden blank media. If neither can read, I have six others to try. Sometimes, it's just the burner.
One little hint would be to make sure that your burner's firmware is updated to the very latest. That can improve the burner's ability to read from a slightly damaged disc.
Otherwise, contact Adobe. For many programs, they sell replacement media. Do not know if there are version limitations, but one call should give you what is available.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
