[bootcamp windows7] wifi being disconnected after conneting to a cs server
hi im a new macbook user and im using macbook pro 15" i5
there are games that not able to play on osx so i installed windows 7 ultimate
also the bootcamp 3.1
then i installed steam and counter strike.
but when i trying to connect to any server, the wifi disconnect automatically.
then reconnect, but if i connect to server again, the wifi disconnect again
so i want to ask if there is any way to solve this problem?
Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :)

Wifi gets disconnected after sometime while watching youtube on iPod Touch.
When I'm watching video on youtube, the wifi network suddenly gets disconnected after some time.
Even when I goto settings->wifi, I'm unable to find the wifi network.
However, at the same time I can find the wifi network and am able to browse internet on my laptop and mobile phone. I get the wifi network back, on when I switch off wifi and switch it after some 2mins of time.- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Power off and then back on the router.
- Reset networks settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
- Does it happen with other networks?
- Next would be to restore the iPod. -
Wifi Auto disconnect after 5-10 of sleep.
Here's my technical data:
Iphone 4s
iOS 8
I connect to wifi and lock my phone, after 5-10 minutes of sleeping the wifi auto disconnect.
To test this, I tried sending a LINE message and as expected, I didn't receive the message.
Is this a problem with the OS or is it normal for wifi to disconnect automatically?Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You may have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.
* No data is lost due to a reset -

Wifi still disconnecting after closing lid with Lion 10.7.1
I updated Lion, thinking this issue would cease, since Wifi fixes were listed as included in this update.
When I close my mid 2009 MBP lid and later open and log in, wifi is disconnected. I have to open Network Preferences and reconnect. Very annoying! Thanks, guys.
My sleep is off.
My MBP never did this before I updated to Lion. I have been using this since 2009 and Wifi never disconnected when I went on standby.
I see on the web that this is a common issue with Lion. I was hoping the update would fix this. I tried all of the "fixes" reported on line. None have worked.
I am posting here for help and hoping that Apple will read this as well. -

My iPad mini has problem staying connect to my wifi after I connect. It seems like after a long period of non usage I have to connect o my wifi again where as my iPhone stays connected
Try #5.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

WRT1900AC - Nest Thermostat disconnects after 30 mins
Just swapped my EA6500 for the new WRT1900AC, and everything is rock solid except for my Nest Thermostat. After about 30 mins the Nest will say that it can't take to the wireless, and if I reselet the SSID again, it will stay connected again for about 30 mins.
I believe this issue has been seen before. Something about routers not supporting low power mode correctly and/or the default for timing about a client is less then 30 mins. The EA6500 never had this issue, but it looks like the WRT1900AC does.
I've even set the 2.4Ghz to WPA2 personal only (as suggested by Nest) and the channel width to 20MHz only, but it's still being disconnected after the Nest enteres low power mode and before it wakes up again 30 minutes later..When I had the Netgear R7000, my 3M Wifi Thermostat would not connect and hold the link between the router and thermostat. I researched this on the 3M site and it was buried deep in their literature that there unit was having some compatibility problems with certain routers, they didn't name which make or model. According to their article they were soon to release a new FW for the device and an updated app for the iOS. Sure enough, almost 20 days later a new FW and app, and the thermostat was SOLIDLY connected to the R7000 and responding to all commands from the app.
The WRT1900AC connected to ALL of my components right from the get go ..no hiccups. I suspect Nest needs to update their FW and all should be good. -

Did anyone buy a MacBook Pro Retina 13" from Best Buy this Black Friday?
I'm having an issue where the WiFi disconnects after the MacBook wakes from sleep but only after a couple of minutes.
Once the WiFi disconnects, I can't reconnect to the same network and sometimes it won't find nearby networks.
I have to turn off the WiFi and wait for at least 5 seconds before turning it back on for it to auto-reconnect to my home network.
If I wait less than 5 seconds, it will continue to attempt connection to the home network but won't connect.
I've tried reformatting and deleting my network configurations as well as resetting my modem, power cycling it, etc.
I am using 2Wire Gateway modem/router from AT&T on b/g network.
I've tried connecting to a friend's network under Time Warner Cable and the same issue occurs.
I exchanged the MacBook at a Best Buy for a brand unopened one (I hope) and the same exact thing happens with this new one.
Really, I can't be the only one with this issue. Unless in a 0.00001% chance I received two defective units in a row?
Please.. does anyone have a clue why this is happening? You're definitely not the only one. I have the same issue. I spent 6 hours over multiple days on the phone with Apple support trying a variety of things (some of which are mentioned above), and none of them worked. They finally sent me a replacement laptop. I made sure to try it periodicaly as I was moving files and installing applications to see if I ran into it again and things seemed okay at first but now I am running into the same issue and it is terribly annoying. I've got 5 other devices that connect to the same router and I've never had this issue with any of them.
My router is a Linksys E2000. I haven't tried changing the router channel but I have tried to cnnecting to other networks in the building I live in and I have run into the same issue there. -

Is there any problem running again "bdls" after being disconnected while r
Hello
I have an emergecy question
Is there any problem running again "bdls" after being disconnected while running it (my network connecton to laptop got broken)
Thank you in advanceHi,
Be sure that it does not continue to run. If it was really interrupted, yes, you must run it again. Otherwise you would have a lot of inconsistancies.

Hi. My wifi keeps disconnecting. I keep turning the wifi on and off in settings but will disconnect again after a minute or so. I use an ipad2 and my ios is updated. How to troubleshoot? - kay peralta
Is this happening with one particular network or with all? Make sure iOS is updated on the device.
Try this:
Reboot ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go. Then try to connect to network.
Go to settings, Toggle airplane mode on/off. Make sure bluetooth is off. Turn on wif (airplane mode off). Try to connect.
Reset Network Settings
Go to settings/general/reset/reset network settings. Then try to connect to network.
If its your home router, then reboot router by unplugging for 5-10min. (do this while you're resetting network settings).
If problem persists, then check for firmware updates on your router.(you check router manufacturer support website for downloads and instructions). -
OS X - Fix for wifi disconnect after suspend/resume
OS X - Fix for wifi disconnect after suspend/resume
I've purchased a Mac recently and since upgrading to Maverick have been having some problem with wifi after suspend/resume. Looking into the issue, I've found this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5495375 and some people have reported that turning off bluetooth did fix the issue.
For my case, this was not possible, so I've tried to make a little fix, that disable bluetooth on suspend and enable it on wake, but with a 10 seconds delay, in order to let the wifi connect successfully.
Here is my github repo for anyone to look at the code: https://github.com/Setsuna666/osx-wifibtfix
Here is the latest version of the fix, which include an uninstall script: https://github.com/Setsuna666/osx-wifibtfix/archive/v1.0.2.zip
If you have any questions or issues, please post it here so it can be easier for me to keep track of.Installed properly this time:
It appears to work, when I resume from sleep the Bluetooth icon is off (gray) and wifi connects, after 10s Bluetooth icon comes on again.
Here is the correct output:
Antzcrashing-MacBook-Air:osx-wifibtfix-1.0.3 Antzcrashing$ sudo bash install.sh

Why does my iMac WIFI disconnect after 3-4 Hours?
I have an iMac 3.06 Intel Core 2 and my wifi disconnects after 3-4 hours of use. I can't reconnect to the network until I turn-off the wifi and turn it back on. It appears the ip lease time is up and must be established manually by turning off the wifi and turning it back on (just a guess). Is it possible the firewall or another piece of software is blocking the process? I have an iPhone, MacBook and iPad in addition to the iMac and they all connect properly and stay connected. Does anyone have any ideas what I should verify to get the process working? During the period of time when the iMac is connected all is well. The iMac is running 10.7.2 op system. Thanks for your help.
