Bootcamp won't load after Yosemite Update

So after trouble with Yosemite freezing in which i was able to fix, i tried to boot back into Windows on my bootcamp drive.
When i went into Startup Disk, i selected the Bootcamp Drive i had windows installed on. All i got was a black screen and then saw the message that the boot device could not be found. I restarted the computer and held down option to see the boot drives on that, but only drives that showed up was my OS X partition and Restore option. So my partition for windows was not found on boot.
I see a lot of people posting about losing their bootcamp partition or saying it was renamed, i don't know if this is the same issue. Is there any way to fix this or will i have to reinstall windows?

Here is the output for the following commands
Sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0
sudo fdisk /dev/disk0
diskutil list
diskutil cs list

  • Mini won't startup after Yosemite update - beeping

    Hey All -
Just updated my Mac mini 2013 to OS X Yosemite.  I left it alone for about an hour after it was finished downloading to complete the installation.  When i came back, the mini was powered off and beeping a series of 3 beeps every 5 seconds.  It won't power up.  Was starting to get quite hot so i unplugged it.
    Any suggestions??
    Jason

The 3 beep error generally indicates a problem with RAM. (i.e. bad, unseated or incompatible)
If you have upgraded the RAM modules yourself:
    1. Check to make sure that the modules are firmly seated in the slots.
    2. Compare the spec's of the RAM with the "How to" link below.
    3. Reinstall the original RAM modules that came in your Mini.
If you did not upgrade the RAM modules:
    1. Check to make sure that the modules are firmly seated in the slots.
    2. Seek help from your local Apple Authorized Service Provider.
    For reference's:
see > Mac mini: How to remove or install memory
To find an AASP, go to > https://locate.apple.com/
Lastly there are no 2013 Mac Mini's. If you bought it new in the last year or so, then you most likely have a Mid 2012 model.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try to launch Mail. Select any lines that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

  • Macbook Air won't start after Yosemite update

    Hi all,
I have a late 2013 model macbook air (just out of the 1 year warranty). I updated to Yosemite last night and to complete the install I restarted the macbook when prompted, but it never turned back ok.
I can now hear the macbook trying to start up but it does nothing. I have tried to reset the SMC and I can see the power adapter change colour from orange to green for a few seconds but this does not appear to fix the issue.
    Any help is appreciated,
    Peter

If that doesn't work, this link may help you identify the problem

If you still think its SMC issue you can try manual SMC Reset (At your own risk ). Steps are..
    1. Open the lower case
    2. Disconnect the battery connector and after few secords connect it back and close the lid

  • Motion 5 won't launch after yosemite update

After updating to yosemite on both my iMac and my Macbook pro, Motion will not launch on the iMac but it will on the pro. A window pops up after attempting to launch, saying: "You can’t use this version of the application “Motion” with this version of OS X. You have “Motion” 5.0.5."
    Any ideas? Much Thanks.

You need to login to the App Store with the same Apple ID that you bought Motion 5 with for the update to show up.

  • BootCamp won't boot after  security update 2010-001

I just installed the security update 2010-001 and my bootcamp partition is not booting anymore is stopping on a black screen with a white line (cursor), just before the splash screen of winxp.
Anybody else had the same problem?
    Somebody can solve this?
    Thanks

Sorry probably my question wasn't clear. I'll try to explain myself better. After installing security update 2010-001 the bootcamp doesn't boot anymore. If I try to boot it, it remains on the black screen and there is the flashing underscore. Please help me, I don't know what to do!

  • OS won't load after software update.

I've got an older powerbook running 10.3.x sitting in the kitchen, and recently performed a software update. It had been a while, so iTunes 7.2 got installed, as well as at least 2 security/OS updates.
The machine crashed with the grey "You must reboot your machines" box about 3/4 of the way though the installation. Now, when I turn it on, everything goes normally until I select a username to log in.
The wallpaper gets loaded, but nothing else. No dock, no menu bar. There's a cursor that I can move with the mouse, and pressing the power button brings up the "sleep, restart, shutdown" box, but I've got nothing else.
Any idea what went wrong, and how to get it back?
    Thanks.

Possibly iTunes needs 10.3.9 at a minimum. You don't say which version you're running.
The first thing to do would be to boot from the Install & Restore disc that came with your machine by:
    1. Inserting the disc, pressing the power button, and immediately after the startup chime, press and hold the C key until you see the spinning gear icon appear on the grey splash screen.
    2. After the machine has booted, pick your language, and when the Installer window appears, do not press Continue, but go to the Utilities menu in the menubar and open Disk Utility.
    3. In Disk Utility, choose your normal startup volume in the pane on the left and then click Repair Disk. If any errors show in the window, run Repair Disk again until you see 'The volume appears to be OK' in green.
    4. Quit Disk Utility, quit the installer and attempt to restart into your regular startup volume.
You may need to re-install Panther, update to 10.3.9, then iTunes if you need to
