Before is ok, can't remember when this problem show up.
Don't know where to go, please give me a hint.
You have to give us a hint.
What is your processor?
How much RAM have you?
What is your video card/ship set?
What kernel are you running?
I spotted this in your dump:
[drm] HPD interrupt storm detected on connector DP-2: switching from hotplug detection to polling
In this case, drm means Direct Rendering Management and has to do with your Video subsystem.  An interrupt is where the hardware sends a signal to the processor that something has happened that requires the urgent attention of the processor.  The kernel is protesting that the hardware is barraging it with interrupt requests.

  • VMM 2012 sp1 keeps on crashing when starts the VMM console

This problem has bothered us so much since we installed the last 1 or 2 update rolls. I was not able to find any relevant info online after digging for hours. The forum is my last hope now so any suggestion would be very much appreciated.
We are currently on 3.1.6018.0, with all the updates for SP1 installed. Every time we start the VMM console, we have to keep our fingers crossed, very likely it will crash and we have to restart the VMM service. Then we would be fine for a while until later

  • Fails to boot, freeze during start-up

I have been having the following problems: In past few months, while OS is running, the computer freezes, the screen image gets a smokey overlay color and a white text on black (approx 3x5") error message appears telling me that I must reboot.
Upon reboot the system generally seemed to run OK until it happened again.
More recently the computer is not booting up. Generally I get the gray apple logo screen with the spinning wheel, it spins 1-1/2 to 5 times and then freezes. I have removed the non-apple extra 512 RAM, I have reset the PRAM, I have pushed the reset button under the keyboard, I have reset the PMU; and lastly I have tried to boot off of the Apple Hardware Test CD and the original Apple OSX CD. When booting off the CD and holding down the "C" key either the disk ends up poping out without starting up or nothing happens and the CD remains dead in the drive. If it does start-up it seems to try to do so off the HDD, but continues to freeze at the apple screen. One out of 30 tries got a successful startup, but then it froze again when I opened my first application.
I don't know if it is related, but when plugged in, the back of the computer under the 8 9 keys seems to get excessively hot.

I went to the Apple Genius today.
The computer would not start up
He plugged in an exterior firewire hard drive with it's own startup disk OS software
After several attemps at pushing the start button the computer started up
It did not show the internal hard disk icon
but with utility software it showed up on the hardware list,
The Genius ran a disk utility software, found that the disk needed directory repair
Did so along with an optimization and then the imternal hard disk icon showed up and a quick check indicated all my folders were intact.
We shut down the computer, disconnected the firewire drive and then tried to
Restart, nothing happening, no whirling or chimes or light from the monitor.
The keyboard caps lock and numlock lights worked
Tried to get the power button to function or the keyboard equivalent.
Even tried the voodo of plugging the firewire drive back in,
But it justs sits their quietly and dark.
We agreed that the logic board must be the problem.
    What do you think?
Do you know whether you can upgrade to a higher speed processor or would you go for a new one?

  • MSI ATI R4550-MD1GH card installed, boot freezes at starting windows

Hello.  This is my first video card install,
I have upgraded the hard drive, added ram, etc, but never touched the bios, or video area. I installed the MSI R4550 after getting advice from HP that this card would work with my system, and the screen freezes at the starting windows page.  I can boot up in safe mode, where I am now, but I cannot successfully download the drivers or the live update from safe mode.  What do I do next to get this to work?  Thank you very much for your time and help. I included system information in my profile as suggested, but will add here as well.
    HP Pavilion a1430n
    Asus A8N-LA socket 939 motherboard
    300 watt power supply
    AMD Athlon 64X2, 3800, 2GHz
    FSB 2000MT/s
    Chipset GeForce 6150LE
    4 GB DDR1 DIMM installed
    500GB Seagate Barracuda SATA
    Windows 7 Ultimate (Media Center)

It sounds like there's a problem with the drivers somewhere.
To start with, when your computer first starts up press the 'del' key and enter the BIOS. Look under any of the pages for an option to disable the onboard graphics. If you can't find this option then exit from the BIOS and move on to the next step. If you find the option then disable it, save changes and exit the BIOS.
Go back into save mode, go in control panel --> programs and features and uninstall the ATI drivers if they are present. Also check the nVidia graphics drivers are definitely uninstalled.
In device manager, click to uninstall any drivers installed for the graphics card and reboot.
See how that goes for now.

    Hi Tomas,
Did I read in another thread that you have a Thomson-Alcatel SpeedTouch modem ?
Can you tell us which model and which firmware it is running ?
With some of their range it can get intermittent results.
Out of 50 Buddies you get about 10 you cna contact all the time, a similar number of now and then contact and about 30 who you can never contact.
If you Buddy list is much smaller you may not have noticed this.
Also things are subject to change when the OS is updated or Upgraded.
Can you also tell us which device is doing DHCP ?

  • Firefox freezes when starting a download

When I start a download and choose the destination, Firefox freezes for about 2-3 seconds before starting to download. In that time, Firefox doesn't respond and acts like it crashed.
My computer is completely new, running Win8.1 64Bit from an SSD, Core i5 Quad, 8GB Ram and Avast Antivir. FF is configured to clear the cache everytime I exit.
It's almost the same as in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/937267 but in my case, every download makes FF freeze, not only the first.
I already tried deactivating the Web Protection of Avast and the integrated scanning feature of Firefox but this didn't solve the problem.

Try using DownThemAll, a Firefox addon, it works perfect.

  • Error coming when starting SAP Management Console

    Hi
Error is coming when trying to start the Server in Microsoft Management Console  . Well this has started coming just now , it was working fine except one point i want to highlight is that on the machine WAS620gui was installed and i upgraded to WAS640 gui , so is it related to with the upgradation of gui ?
    The error is :
Snap in failed to initialize                 |
Name : SAP system Manager                    |
    CLSID {633547EE-A302-11D1-AE59-0800009B07DBB}|

    Hi
It seems that the registration of the sapmmc.dll failed.
You can recover SAP Management Console again by manually registering the MMC snap-in. Do the following:
Open a CMD.exe and walk through the directory containing the sapmmc.dll file (mostly is under %systemroot%\system32 directory) then execute the following command:
    Regsvr32 sapmmc.dll
You should see a message confirmation that registration was successful.
Then start mmc again...it should now work smoothly!
    Hope this helps!
    Best Regards,

  • Brcmsmac - boot freezes when wi-fi is off

I am having witch my wi-fi card BCM4313 running on the brcmsmac driver on the latest Arch kernel 3.4.4-3-ARCH. When wi-fi is off (my Toshiba A660 have a hardware button to control the state of wi-fi card) the boot process stuck after starting wicd, when wi-fi is on at boot everything works fine. And if I turn off the wi-fi while the system is already booted I don't get any problems, the system works fine (I tried to search networks - no freezers). It is possible to fix it witch out changing the driver (I don't like wl driver)? As I remember this happens sinc 3.2 kernel, on previous it works fine but downgrading the kernel isn't a solution. An idea?

Not really a solution for my problem - wicd deamon starts automatic at boot, and I don't wan change this.

I just installed xp pro on 36 gig Raptor on sata 1  when i o/c i get a freeze at boot screen or dmi update sucess or it says ctrl alt del to restart read disc error.  I can run a stable overclock when it was just my ata drive @ 2.59 mhz on air cooling,  boot up just fine, but when i boot from an o/c with the sata drive connected i get the errors or freezes,  i can boot a default setting and have core center overclock to 2.39 mhz but that is it.  I am discouraged.  Can anyone help?

    nu tech 8x dvd burner
    450w psu w/ x-blade case -- rails r stable

Thanks guys that worked!  Now i have to get my bench marks back up there with the overclocking, although i could overclock higher on the ide vs sata but 100 mhz does bother me, its stable at 2.48 ghz, so i am happy bench marking better than fx-53 and 3800 in cpu scores, i got a 10000 in sisandra so i am happy.
    again thanks
    i was pissed.

  • Libreoffice freezes when starting to TYPE ANYTHING. Cant reproduce.

I cannot do anything in libreoffice. When I first installed my default language showed up as afrikaan. I have fixed that by removing what I think was libreoffice-af. I have disabled jre and all extensions. I have tried reinstalling. (dont know how to purge packages though.) Basically I start math or writer, type a character and the whole program freezes and I get a popup saying libreoffice is unresponsive... click force quit. I have a feeling that if I completely purge libreoffice and reinstall *manually* (libreoffice-common libreoffice-writer libreoffice-math libreoffice-gnome) instead of installing by group it would solve the problem. I have searched the pacman wiki but can't find anything similar to apt-get remove --purge (came from aptosid).

Try moving the file ~/.conf/.libreoffice to something like ~/.conf/.xxxlibreoffice then restart libreoffice before re-installing it.
I, too, came from aptosid and find pacman much easier to work with than dpkg or apt.  No need for purge in the debian sense.  However, we need to deal with *.pacnew files now and then.

  • [SOLVED] System freezes when starts using swap

When my system starts using swap, it completely freezes. Switching to tty doesn't work either.
There is already a topic on this problem, but the only advice it has is "use zswap" or "do not open 20 tabs at the same time", which is not really a solution imho.
I'm using a swap file in my home dir with swapon.

There is not much configuration going on.
    What I do is this.
I'm kind of new to Arch Linux (used Ubuntu for a long time). How can I enable or see logs in Arch?

  • 60+ Second Freezes when starting ASIO Applicati

Hi, I'm having a problem with my Audigy2 ZS - it seems that every time the ASIO driver initializes, my PC freezes COMPLETELY (even the mouse) for about 30-90 seconds. After that, it goes back to normal. I've got the newest drivers installed and the applications in question are Guitar Rig 2 and Cubase SX 3.
    Any suggestions?
I'm running Windows XP Pro SP2 on an A64X2 3800+ with 2 gigs of RAM, if that hel
    ps.
    Thanks in advance!

Yes I think that's it. The Play > Pause trick didn't work on my source device, but what does work, is if I have two or more seconds of silence at the start of a track, is to press the RECORD button in Audition the moment PatchMix's "LOCK" indicator lights up. (I just put Audition and Patchmix on the screen, side by side.)
Unfortunately some discs have only 1 second or so at the start of the first track, so that doesn't work then. Audition seems to need at least 1 to 2 seconds (at least in Edit mode) to initiate the recording after pressing the RECORD button. Would be nice to reduce that latency, if there are any tricks - maybe using Multitrack mode?
