Booting in Recovery mode After Update

I have an Early 2013 MacbookPro Retina with Maverick and I was having issues connecting to my Wireless Router so I decided to Reboot the laptop.
After it rebooted, the Mac logo on the Grey Screen showed up with a progress bar. The progress bar took a while to complete and then computer shutted down.
I then pressed the power button to turn it back on and it started in recovery mode. Using the DiskUtility I see the disk, I see the Partition but cannot mount it. I ran the DiskUtility's Verify and it tells me to Repair the Disk. I click Repair the Disk and it tells me the disk could not be repaired and I should to backup the maximum number of files possible and then format and reinstall the OS. But for the sake of God, it cannot even mount the partition! How am I suppose to backup anything?
I'm so ****** off, I lost a week of work. Spent the week working away of the office and the Time Machine Backup is a week old.
*** Apple!
Please someone tell me that there is something I can do to recover my work!

Here's what I'd try:
Hook up an external drive. Boot to the Recovery partition. Partition and format the external drive, then install OS X on it. When that's done, boot while holding down the Option key and choose the external drive. From there, see if you can now read the internal drive and get your files off. Once you have what you need, you can reformat the internal.

  • How do i get my photos back, if I didn't back up my iPhone 5 and now its in recovery mode after updating to iOS 8.0.2?

How do i get my photos back, if I didn't back up my iPhone 5 and now its in recovery mode after updating from iOS 8.0.1 to iOS 8.0.2?

In you case, the only way is to use data recovery app to get back your lost photos, so the chance is uncertain. It depends on how smart the app it's. The good news is that most of the apps allow you to try them out. You can test them out by yourself. The steps are:
Install data recovery app on your computer
connect your iPhone and allow the app scan iphone
    display scanning result
choose local folder to store recovered items
You can choose to recover your photos from local disk, iTunes backup or icloud.  More details can be found out here.

Once in Recovery mode, personal data is invariably lost.
It is recommended that personal data should be backed up often.

    Hello soccerlime,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
The error code "9006" in iTunes when updating or restoring your device indicates that access to the iTunes update servers is being blocked.  Please take a look at the information below to help resolve this error.
    Check your security software

  • Iphone in recovery mode after update to bug fix on IOS 7

Iphone 4 has gone into recovery mode after updating a bug fix on IOS 7. Is there any way to fix it without having to restore?

    No.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
    1. Turn off device
    2. Connect USB cable to computer; leave the other end alone
    3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to device
    4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
    5. Release the Home button
    6. Open iTune
    7. You should see "iTunes has detected the device in recovery mode"
    8. Use iTune to restore device
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your device

  • Mountain Lion only boots into Recovery mode after using iCould lock

    Hi everyone!
I have searched the forums for hours now, but I can't seen to find an answer to my question, so I'd like to ask it.
Recently my system partition failed due to frequent kernel panics caused by a cable in the screen I think. The kernel panics still occur, but I don't know what to do with them.
I managed to save my files and reinstall my osx, which is Snow Leopard (the disc came with the computer). Then I wanted to install my purchased copy of Lion through Appstore, but it said it's no longer available in my country and I couldn't download it again.
Then I decided to buy a copy of Mountain Lion which I tried to install. I managed to do it, and I tried to explore my new operation system.
I tried the iCloud app as well, including the Lock. It locked the computer, and rebooted, but ever since I couldn't unlock it.
When it asks for the password I enter it and it accepts it, but doesn't unlock, only lets me into Recovery mode. Now I reinstalled the whole thing over again and when the Mountain Lion install finishes, it only boots into the Recovery HD without asking.
So if I reboot my computer, no matter what I do it only boots into Recovery Mode.
    Please help!!
    Mike

I was afraid the Apple Store wasn't going to be an option.
Based on your previous post, I was under the impression you could download Mountain Lion, but when you installed it, it locked up again. Not true?
I don't know how to remove it. You can try contacting Apple support through the link below to see if they can help you get this unlocked.

  • My iphone 4 stuck in recovery mode after updating to ios5.1

i got my iphone 4 updated to ios 5 months ago and it was successful. However, i was updating my software to ios 5.1 using the phone itself and it went into recovery mode after that. The moment before updating it was fine and now it stuck in recovery mode, showing the itunes logo and usb cable.
I connected my phone to the itunes on my laptop and it shows that my iphone is in recovery mode and must be restored.
I've tried restoring it but after the restoration cycle was done, it pop up a window saying there's an error (1) occuring and my iphone was unable to be restored.
I've tried it again and again for hours from yesterday evening until now but it's still the same. Anyone can help? I got no more phone to use at the moment.

download a program called RecBoot, very easy to use, connect your iphone and click on "exit recovery mode" and it will restart normally. I had the same problem as you, but I solved it with this program.

  • Fix iPhone 4S in recovery mode after updating from IOS5 to 6.1.3

How do i get my iPhone 4S out of recovery mode without losing all my data? I am not very tech savvy and too scared to do anything without instruction. My phone went into recovery mode when updating from IOS5 to 6.1.3 (or whatever was the latest yesterday). Oh how I wish I hadn't. I think I want my IOS5 back!
Can I use Google Maps on 6.1.3?

Okay I have read that info but the iTunes sreens I am experiencing has different messages.
1st = iTunes has dectected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore the iPhone before it can be used in iTunes.
2nd = iPhone is in recovery mode. Restore
3rd = Are you sure you want to restore the iPhone "iPhone" to its factory settings? All of your media and other data will be erased, and the newest version of iPhone software will be installed.
iTunes will verify the restore with Apple. After this process is complete, you will have the option to restore your contacts, calendars, text messaes and other settings.
.. now will my music, apps and photos be saved too? Here are the three messages.. you can see that the iTunes settings/screen configuation is not like those in the tutorial in the link. There is nothing in my "summary" and no restore to back up shown at this point. So I am wary to proceed.
Thanks again to my helpers. Also I don't mind if the whole update was aborted.
