Booting of usb? wont work

Hello about a month ago i installed windows 7 of a disk i am not liking windows 7 and i have a usb with bootable files i went into bios and changed it to the usb booting thing and it just booted my normal os Here is a picture

You should be able to boot your Mac and use the Bluetooth keyboard. I would make sure it is discovered first while at the Desktop, if you can. Then test by restarting and pressing the OPTION key or COMMAND+R if you have Lion or above installed. Make sure the keyboard is powered on. Also, make sure the BT keyboard is not paired with any other device when you test.

please help me out . i have a new mac air . when i conect my cable to usb socket wont work . it wont charge my i phone either . whats wrong

I'm sure you've done everything like rebooting or testing other usb devices...have you tried to create a new user account and see if you get anything that way?, I would imagine you'd have to return the machine for an exchange at the Apple store.

  • Usb wont work.help!

i got an ipod nano for x-mas and i have 3 usb cables now and none of them work i have itunes dowloaded and everything i already synced sond onto my ipod before but its not working now what do i do? should i just take it bak and get a refund or get a different mp3 player because im going crazy!

Try resetting it by depressing the center button and menu button for about 6 sec. That is the 1st R for troubleshooting. If not, go down the list of R's.

I will tell you, I have never experience as many probs that people are having since getting involved in this iPod discussions. I have 3 iPods. There have been probs, but was able to fix it on my own or just getting little info from other sources.
There are lessons within Apple's site that will assist end users with their issues. Apple has a search engine with plenty of info.
Another rec, is to research things that you buy. Look into the product before you buy it or if someone buys it for you.

  • Usb wont work :/

the white usb i had broke , so i got a new one , from the brand called dynex , but my pc wont recognize it , im broke and cant buy a new one , what can i do?

Since the issue is likely with the 3rd party branded cable, you'll need to purchase an Apple Branded USB cable or borrow one from somebody you know who has one.  There really isn't much else you can do. Sorry.

  • 2.0 usb wont work with my 3.o usb port

I have a gemini firstmix and apparently it does not work with my macbook pro because it isnt compatible with usb 3.0. Is there anything i can do on my mac that will allow me to use it?

    Sorry.
I was thinking of an Hard Disc.
I have just seen your device is a Midi Controller.  Sounds more complex.
I had a look into its specs. It supports USB 2.0 only.
USB 3.0 should be compatible with 2.0 but ptobasbly with a complex device it is not so simple.
I am thinking what could happen if you put a USB 2.0 Hub in between. Probably not working too but a cheap try.

Do you have a wired USB mouse to try?
It seems to me that the drivers from the WIFI mouse is not of the correct version for the OS you are running on.
You may want to google for the correct drivers as well.
I have tried a wired usb mouse and that wont work either :(
There are only 1 set of drivers for the wifi mouse I have, checked on the manufactures website and the driver version is the exact same one as I have on disk. The mouse worked on my other pc with the exact OS
A ps2 wireless mouse works but that mouse has no range :(

Hi - I hope this helps. The problem may be hardware related in which case I can't help, but if not, try this.
Right click and delete both of the yellow mouse HID drivers in device manager. Then do a normal shutdown and Restart with the keyboard using Ctrl-Alt-Del to bring up Windows Task Manager.
This should force the system to reinstall drivers when it next boots.
You may find that a simple Scan for Hardware Changes also works after you have deleted the yellow drivers.
Another trick is to try the mouse in other USB ports - sometimes the system just gets confused and sets the device to a particular port. If it is put in another port it often can't find the device.
    Good Luck
I have tried the wireless mouse in every usb port, also uninstalling them in device manager - all had no effect :(

  • Satellite C50-A634 wont boot from USB or DVD

My new toshiba Satellite C50-A634 wont boot from usb, or dvd ,
i have downloaded win 8.1 and burn image to dvd but i still get an error message "no bootable device......please restart system" .
    Can some one plz help?

    Hi
Does Satellite C50-A634 supports internal CD/DVD drive or did you try to boot from external optical disk drive?
You have to know that _Satellite C50 & Satellite C50D models *without* a built-in ODD_ are not able to boot from an external ODD due to a technical limitation.
    Details here:
[Limitation of external boot media for Satellite, Satellite Pro C50 & C50D devices|http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB3B03JA0000R01.htm]
Only USB flash drives are supported as external boot devices!
It is necessary you can use a USB flash drive as recovery media on notebooks without a built-in ODD.

  • Usb & sdcard port wont work in windows 7

    Hi all,
my usb & sdcard port wont work in windows 7, also i cant install drivers for coprocesor and the sm bus controller,   I have a macbook pro 13" A1278,
I have tryed to install the drivers from the osx cd,  but to no avail it just wont work,
    Please can anyone help

the reason i ask is base system device can be a few differant things but about 90% of what i have seen it show up is the card reader. try to uninstall anything in device manager that has to do with the mic and restart the laptop. this will allow windows to try to find and install the correct drivers. also open realtek HD audio manager and make sure the mic is not muted.

  • Trackpad or USB mouse wont work

I am struggling with my Macbook pro. Its an early 2010 model. Just in the past couple days the mouse wont work. It just decides it does not want to click at all. Sometimes i can get the right click to work. If i restart with keyboard commands it is fine for about 10 min then does it again.  I thought it was the trackpad but it is performing fine.  I can feel and hear it depress and clilck properly but no action on the screen when it clicks. If i plugin a USB mouse i get the same problem.  I have reset PRAM, repaired permissions, done a hard drive verify and run the hardware test from install disk both easy and extended hardware test. And everything comes up as fine and the permissions repaired fine.
A couple months ago this computer was acting really weird and i decided to reformat with a fresh system since it had been over a year since i got it. It was a struggle to do even that. It would not install the system after a basic HD erase (which has never happened to me).  I had to zero out the HD to get the system to install.  It worked fine after i finally got it reinstalled and setup until now this mouse thing is happening
I am just wondering if this seems more like system corruption or a hardware issue like bad HD or bad board.  I am about to reformat again but I hate to go through all that setup again if it is hardware. Anyone have any thoughts on what to try next. Thanks

The regression reported here http://marc.info/?l=linux-usb&m=137523956310060&w=2 did not solve the problem as i installed the patch found here https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/36296
Still the same message shown in the xorg log.
    EDIT:
Also, after being connected the mouse connects as a keyboard, but the actuall mouse functionality dosnt work.

  • [solved]USB wont boot on some computers.

    Hi all.
I have installed arch on a usb from a running arch system after doing pacman -S arch-install-scripts.
It boots on my Acer Aspire One which picks it up as a USB-HDD however when I tried to boot it on a different computer it didn't work and faliled with the error "Boot Error".
I have succesfully booted both ubuntu and fedora on the same pc.
    Any ideas?
Not able to access my arch system right now but will the fact that arch is installed to a partition (sdb1) and not directly affect it(sdb)?
Previously I used the universal usb installer from pendrivelinux.com with it set to format the drive. I believe it did not use partitions.
I believe I just answered my own question. Anyone mind confirming if I'm correct ?

Some older bioses boot from USB in "floppy mode" (it shows the disk as a floppy if it is not partionned, otherwise the first partition is shown as a floppy, possibly with a limitation of size). If you know your bootloader, you can manage to make it bootable (I think this is much easier with syslinux than with grub, because it can detect at boot time from where it is booted; without having you to explicitly tell it). You can also try the plop boot manager (http://www.plop.at/en/bootmanager/index.html). It is able to boot USB devices in hard disk mode even without Bios support.

The both other devices are my USB Keyboard and Mouse.
    2. My other problem is, that after the update my resulution of my console is very weak, this is just bad but not a real problem, I can live with that.
