Borderless on a 5.5 in by 8.5 in sheet

I want to print borderless on a 5.5 in by 8.5 in sheet and Photoshop CS5 won’t do it.  I make a custom sheet size but when in Photoshop it disables borderless printing. In the printer software I can make the custom sheet borderless but it is still disabled when I go in Photoshop. I was able to do this in CS3 with no problems. I have wasted several hours on this already and am fed-up

Hey there ersbro. I recommend checking out this document to see if it helps resolve the issue: HP LaserJet 1160 and 1320 Series Printers - Troubleshooting Paper Feed Problems
If this does not resolve the issue I suggest posting in the Business forum since this is a commercial printer. Here is the link: HP Business Support Forum -- LaserJets

  • I can't control borders properly when printing in Lightroom

I use large sheets of paper in my printer and typically want to print several photos on one sheet. In order to use the entire 19" length of the paper I select "borderless" printing in the printer options of my Epson Stylus Photo R3000 printer.  For example, I create a template with five 5x7 photos and two 4x6 photos on one 13x19 sheet of paper. I then want each cell to have a border of 7 pts. I set this in the appropriate print option in Lightroom. I select each photo and drop it onto the appropriate cell.  When I print this selection, Lightroom fails to preserve the 7pt borders of the various cells that lie on the outside edges of the paper.  It preserves the 7 pt borders everywhere else.  This occurs for any possible expansion setting I choose under the 'borderless' selection.
Conversely, if I do not select 'borderless' printing I get double width borders around the outside edges of the paper, single width borders on the interior edges, and therefor I cannot fit the last two 4x6 prints on the paper.
Is this a bug or is there a combination of settings which will give me what I want.

If you click on page set up in the bottom left corner a dialogue box appears, near the bottom it says "source" the default setting is "sheet" which is what you require, click on this and other options such as "sheet borderless" appear. Check that the source is set to sheet not sheet borderless.

  • How do I print borderless on HP Deskjet 1510

HP Deskjet 1510 doesn't allow me to print my ACTUAL SIZE document on a A4 size paper. My documents are in PDF form and are all in A4 size. When I print it, bottom part of my documents gone. Am using a window 8, Adobe reader latest version 11.09.

    Hi,
Your printer does not support borderless printing, there are two options:
    (a) you can use advanced option to minimize border
click the Advanced tab in the print driver, and then select Minimize Margins.
    (b) use Custom scale to reduce the page size in Adobe reader,

  • Issue on borderless printing using android HP ePrint app with HP LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw

    Hi,
I am trying to print a pdf document which is of A4 size (11.7 x 8.3 inches without any borders) from android tablet using HP ePrint app along with the printer HP Laserjet Pro 200 color M251nw. When it is printed on A4 sheet, it adds the border on all the sides around 12mm-left, 11mm-right, 8mm-top, 9.5mm-botton margins.
On the printer the firmware datecode shows 20121026, Also the ePrint app which I am using is latest and upto date.
Please let me know how to print the borderless print in A4 sheet.
    Regards,

    Hello revlib,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Turning off the Wireless Direct on the LaserJet Pro 200 color M251nw should have disabled the SSID from broadcasting. Since disabling from the front display did not resolve, let us try from the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
To access the EWS you need to enter the I.P address for the M251nw into the address bar of your web browser. The I.P address can be collected by touching Setup ()> Reports> Network Summary.
Once in the EWS, click Network> Wireless Direct Setup> select Off and Apply.
Let me know if this has help

  • Borderless printing with Adobe reader or acrobat and HP Officejet Pro 8100

    Hello,
When printing borderless with my Pro 8100 the printed pdf moves about 2mm to te left on the paper. (White vertical strip on the right side is the result and on the left side something is missing!).
What causes the problem seems to be that the HP Pro 8100 printsoftware makes the A4-format a littlebit larger (214,55 x 300,91) than an actual A4-format (210,00 x 297,00) when you choose borderless printing.
Therefore, I suppose that the pdf shoud be centered before printing. Adobe reader doesn't seem to have the possiblity to center the page however.
    Any tips?

The borderless printing option is intended to print photo's on photo paper.  When printing borderless the print is slightly oversized to eliminate (or reduce) to chance for white edges due to media skey.  Depending on your operating system you may have a setting in the Advanced tab of the driver for Overspray, set this to minimum and see if it helps.

  • Print module - exporting to a .jpg file - borderless printing

I'm attempting to export a picture as an 8 x 10 .jpg file in the Print Module - I want the image to be borderless. I have gone ahead and changed my page setup to reflect the same dimensions, I've removed margins and I've also gone into the Layout section and adjusted my cell size dimensions and removed margins...I can't seem to get two borders to disappear - if it's a portrait image, the sides have white borders and if it's landscape, the top and bottom have white borders.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. If more information is required, let me know. Thanks!

If your image is not in exact 8x10 (4x5) aspect ratio, you'll need to select the "Zoom to fit" box.

There is something that I have to do before start to configure these modules...? enable some feature or license in order to see the ports with show running CLI...?

I am trying to print a borderless 8x10 pic from my iMac to my Canon i900d printer. I've done it before, but it's been awhile and now every time I try to print I get a 2mm border all around the picture. Again, I want the pic to be borderless, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Welcome to the forums!
You don't give any detail - what, exactly, you are doing (keystrokes, etc.), which program you're trying to print from (KN or PP), and what your settings are, so I'll guess: you're trying to print from KN. When you try to PRINT, in the window which appears you have checked "Slides with Notes". Those notes, even if there's nothing written there, are probably what's taking away space from the slide on your print-out. Instead, check "Individual Slides" (you should see the results of this reflected in the example print-out on the left: the slide should now take up most of the page, rather than just the upper portion of it). To make your slide even a bit bigger, make sure "Use page margins" (under OPTIONS) is unchecked.
If I've guessed wrong, or my solution doesn't work, come back with more details.
    Good presentation!

  • How Do I BORDERLESS PRINT on Epson RX500 in 10.4.7?

    Hello,
    When I set up my Epson RX500 All-In-One printer/scanner I was using 10.3 Panther.
The Print Setup Utility looked just like it does in the setup guide that comes with the unit.
I never used Borderless Printing but in the "Printer List" it showed Stylus Photo RX500 and Stylus Photo RX500(Sheet Feeder - Borderless).
Now a year later (after upgrading to 10.4.7) I want to do some borderless printing with 4x6 and 5x7 photo paper but the "Stylus Photo RX500(Sheet Feeder - Borderless)" listing is not there anymore.
Also the Printer Setup Utility has changed. The screens aren't like they were in 10.3 (where I select EPSON USB from a pull-down menu, etc).
I went to the Epson Website to download new drivers but they only have
TWAIN Driver and EPSON Scan Utility v2.65A for Macintosh OS X (v10.2.x - 10.3.x)
    OR
Printer Driver v3.0aAs for Intel-based Macs with OS X (v10.4.4 or later). There isn't one for PowerPC 10.4.
I CAN print a supposed 4x6 borderless print using Page Setup and "4x6 Borderless" setting for Paper Size but it doesn't come out borderless -- it has borders. There is a 5x7 setting but it doesn't say borderless.
Any help with this problem? I really would like to see the "Sheet Feeder - Borderless" in my Printer List again and do some true bordeless printing!
    Thanks!!
    PowerMac FW800 (G4), iMac G4 800 SuperDrive   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Thank you so much that was a big help.
After you do that, though, you have to click on the Page Setup drop down menu and select Borderless Sheet Feeder instead of Standard from the list -- that's the part I wasn't doing. It defaults to "Standard", whatever that is, and doesn't make the Borderless Printing available if you don't change it.
After that, though, I couldn't get the border even when I wanted one (which I do sometimes) using the RX500 regular setting (NOT borderless) -- it's makes about a 1/10" border instead of a 1/2" one.
FWIW I found that if you then delete Borderless Sheet Feeder (that I tried so hard to get!) from the Printer List and re-start the computer you will then have true border printing again! Re-install Borderless driver to get true borderless again (ugh). I guess I'll have to do that because sometimes I want borderless and other times I don't.
    Thanks!!

  • Borderless printing from Windows 7 64 to a shared printer on XP Pro system.

I recently bought a new dv7 HP laptop with Windows 7 64 bit to replace a Dell laptop running XP.  The XP laptop and other XP systems can print to my HP PSC2410 connected to a XP pro system fine.  The XP systems can print both 8x10, 5x6 or 4x6 borderlessly fine.  However, the new HP laptop with Windows 7 does NOT even have the option of 4x6 or 5x7size paper!  If I connect the printer directly to the win7 system, that works, but when I print to the same printer via the XP pro "shared printer", most of the paper size options go away.
I found a post that shows how to present a 4x6 paper size option to the win7 system which now works, but borderless printing to the 4x6 paper doesn't work.  The 4x6 photos all print with thin white borders.  Please tell me I don't have to replace my PSC2410 printer in order to print from my new windows 7 system (borderlessly) via a network!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909a Print Cancelled when printing borderless A4

    Hi
We have an HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909a that normally works very well. We need to print  a brochure in full colour on A4 borderless and the printer starts printing and then cancels the job itself after printing about a fifth of the page. I have tried all different printing options and it works fine if there is a print margin but will not work for borderless. This applies to printing from all different applications (Microsoft and Adobe).
We urgently need to print the brochure so a speedy resolution would be gratefully received.
    Thanks in advance.

I am having a similar problem printing a two-sided 3-fold brochure in full color. The first side prints normally, but the second side prints two fo the three panels and then printing cancels on the third. I am printing from a Windows 7 laptop over a Wifi connection onto an HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless printer. A solution would be much appreciated!

  • Borderless Printing issues with HP Officejet 4500

I have created a document using Microsoft word 2007 and am having trouble printing this document without borders. I have a HP Officejet 4500 which does support borderless printing. I have gone into properties when getting ready to print and made sure to check the borderless box. I am still left with a small 1/8 inch border around the entire page. I tried the shortcuts and selected brochures with the same results. I also tried changing the settings through word. I went into page set up and made the margins "0.0" on both sides as well as the top and bottom of the page. It still prints with borders. What am I missing???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Having the same issue. I tried to print boderless from many different programms and with all settings I could choose. I get out a full photo or document after maybe 20 prints. Everytime the printer wants to print at least 2 pages, stops printing after 10-50% and restarts again.
I really would like to hear back from HP.

  • In elements 12 how to print borderless on custom paper size

how do I get rid of margins on custom paper printing so the print is borderless?

    Paul,
I have an older version of PSE, but I doubt that they have changed the print dialog.
In Editor, go to File>Print, and on the bottom of the screen there is "More Options". Click on that to get to the "Custom Print Size" tab.. Check "Scale to Fit Media." Does that work?
Have a look at the "Printing Choices" tab as well. Is everything unchecked under "Border?"

  • Borderless 8.5x11 on DeskJet 9800

I've seen this question asked in various forms all over the forums and net, but it's rarely this printer with this paper size, and it's rarely this printer and these dimensions. So, here's hoping someone here will have an answer for it.
I am having a problem printing Borderless 8.5x11 documents to my printer. The 9800 series is a wide-format borderless photo printer. Specifically, the problem appears when trying to print from word, excel, adobe acrobat, and other applications. Office is the 2007 edition, and paper is a standard 8.5x11 sheet of paper (exact dimensions). Here are the steps I have tried so far:
    1. In word, used standard 8.5x11 paper size, set margins to 0". When printing, select properties for the printer driver and set it to print borderless. It automatically changes the paper type to a "borderless photo 8.5x11". Told it to print, word warns about the margins being out of bounds. Printed it anyway, and the text/graphics are off on the left and top margins (as in they print off the top/left of the page). The word 'TEST' in the upper left barely shows the bottom stem of the last T.
    2.  In word, used standard 8.5x11 paper size, set margins to 0". When printing, DID NOT set print driver to print borderless. Paper size in the driver is standard letter. Told it to print, word warns about the margins being out of bounds. Printed it anyway, and the text/graphics are still off to the upper left, but in a slightly different place.
    3. In word, selected the "Bordless Photo 8.5x11" paper size. Set margins to 0". When printing, turned on the borderless option. Paper type changed to "borderless photo 8.5x11". Told it to print. No warning from word about margin sizes. Printing is still off, but slightly more text appears in the upper left corner.
    4. In word, selected the "Borderless Photo 8.5x11" paper size. Set margins to 0". When printing, DID NOT select borderless. Printed with no warning about margin sizes. Upper left corner still not correct.
I have even tried printing the document to a PDF and using similar settings, but the same issues happen. Typically either a margin is enforced by making the surrounding print have a trim, or the document prints off the edge of the page in the upper left corner. Publisher and Adobe Acrobat experience the same problems when attempting to print images near the upper edge of the paper. I have also tried printing using the old 9600 series drivers, which suffered from the same problems.
If I am forced to upgrade, does anyone know if the Photosmart B8550 prints borderless documents from word, publisher, etc well?
Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

I'm having problems with borderless printing on B8550 so I would say stay away from it.
