Borwser link in SRM

Dear All,
I am learning SRM.SRM 5.0 Ides has been installed in my system. I try to login through browser link. As per the below step I got the browser link.
Go to transaction SICF
Search Service Name BBPSTART
Right click the BBPSTART and Test Service
Browser is opened and show you the logon screen.
URL looks like this.
http://[hostname.domain:port]/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbpstart?sap-client=800
Now I am successfully got the browser link.However system not allow me to enter anything in Users & password field.
It give the following error.
No switch to HTTPS occured, so it is not secure to send a password SSO logon not possible: logon tickets not activated on the server. Choose logon to continue. A dialog box appears in which you can enter your user & password.
Kindly help me to short out some the above issue.
Your input will highly appreciable.

In tarscn RZ10(you'll need BASIS person for this),
1-Set instance parameters:
Login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
Login/create_sso2_ticket = 2
2-Restart the application server
3- Launch transaction SSO2
4- Check service BBPSTART in SICF transaction.

DMS Object Link for SRM

Dear All,
Can you please provide me the object link for SRM( Inbound Delivery).
Our team requirenment we should need to integrate with SRM through DMS (object link)

Hi RS,
Kindly follow following steps. Add the new object in DMS object link and DMS screen on new object screen with help of Abap'r.
This can be achived with help of Abap'r and following steps:
Purpose
You can also link documents with SAP objects for which no linking is supported in the standard SAP System.
Prerequisites
In Customizing for the Do cument Management , you must maintain the key fields for the SAP objects that you want to link to document info records, by choosing Control Data  Maintain key fields.
Process
1. Program two screens for the following module pools for the SAP object that is to be linked additionally:
u2013 SAPLCV00
u2013 SAPLCVIN
The process logic must be according to that of screen 0204 in program SAPLCV00 and must not be changed.
2. Create the function module OBJECT_CHECK_XXXX (XXXX = name of the SAP object).
If this object can be classified, this function module already exists in the standard system. Otherwise, copy the existing function module OBJECT_CHECK_EQUI (linking of equipment) and change it to suit the new object.
Result
After you have completed the above, documents can be linked with the SAP object that you have added. You define the settings for this in Customizing for the Document Management System (see: Object Links).

or you can go tcode BBP_PD, check in item level.

ESW: No link for SRM / EU5 in the ES Workplace Homepage?

I have registered into ES Worplace some time back and accesssed the SRM 7.0 then.
I have re-registered today and find that access information to EU5 is not provided and also the access link to SRM backend is not in home page.
Is the SRM access from ES workplace removed? Kindly advice.

Not really, ESR is just definition and if your services are available in ERP then it is enough to use them.

You can goto transaction "SPROXY" on ERP and search for your service then execute it from there, read documentation for field information and type of data supplied, as it could be very frustating to understand GDT.

If you are on ABAP system then you can call this service internally as you can call any class. See the underlying implementation class of this service in SPROXY.
PI is useful for A2A communication, if you have third party program and want to communicate with ERP services (sepcially async) then you can create mappings in PI and allow thirdparty to communicate with ERP.
Typical usage scenario is: Legacy->PI->Proxy(ERP)
PI will play role of translator (if your legacy application send message in different style) and postman (to transfer message from one location to another).
Async services are useful when there is bulk transaction and NO realtime response required.

Does anyone know how to disable the Help link in SRM?
We are displaying SRM transactions through the SAP Portal, and have decided to use the Portal's help links for context-sensitive help. Therefore, the Help link in SRM is redundant.

You can either remove the HELP link completely by modifying the template as suggested by Andy OR you can modify the template in the service BBPHELP in SE80.
Go to BBPHELP service ,template BBPHELP_1000.

Confirmation Link in SRM to Goods Recipt Link in R/3

Hi All-
We are on SRM 5.0, Classic scenario. Currently, we have problems with the Confirmation extract from SRM, so we want to implement a change, where we only use the GR Extract from R/3, but we still want to include the SRM Confirmation Number. In order to do this, we have two approaches we can take:
1) Do a call from R/3 to SRM to get it (but we need to know how they are linked, and I am told that the link is from SRM to R/3)
2) Change the Conf to R/3 process to pass the Conf number from SRM to R/3
Question:
1.) How are the confirmation number in SRM and Goods Receipt number in R/3 linked?
2.) How does the information of a Goods receipt in R/3 brought back to SRM? (I know the BBP_GET_STATUS_2 Job does it, but i am trying to understand what tables this complete link of S/C->PR->PO->Conf->GR->INv are stored in?

You can find these values using transaction BBP_PD for object type BUS2203 (confirmations).

The business scenarie is that poeple working in only SRM not in ECC system at all and they want easyly reach or link some document in DMS to SRM objects by using object links.

create suspend outbound plug and resume inbound type
when create an outbound plug of Suspend type a parameter Url is automatically created,
fire the outbuond plug with the Url to a BSP page where you have JavaScript.
and fromt he BSP navigate back to WDA again which you can do using by reading the url parameter sap-wd-resumeurl, which contains the WDA URL

Where can I modify the SRM program to redirect the help link of shopping cart screen to this third party user help URL?

CUA linked with SRM - USERS_GEN

Hi all,
We will implement a new SRM 7 system that is linked to an existing CUA.
Users will be brought from CUA to SRM's SU01.
But afterwards we'll still have to execute the USERS_GEN transaction in the SRM system I presume since the CUA doesn't hold the organisational unit or position of the transfered user. Or is there a way to let CUA provide the necassary data without we having to do the manual USERS_GEN in SRM?

Yes. Saravanan is correct.
you must integrate the user in to the SRM Organisation level.
then only User can perform any function like create sc, po , contract etc..via WEB ..
till the user integrate into org it is like dummy user ..

Where is the workload redistribution link in SRM 7?

I can not find the workload redistribution link that I use in srm 5 to change the purchase group of one SC or resdistribute the SC to other User.
Is in any role? or is a program or service.

CCM category links in SRM

I have published items from CCM into SRM and they have populated new catalog categories in the schema. So, the number of links displayed to the end user has gone up. Now, I would like to remove the items and republish. However, after the items are gone from the categories, the links are still there. Is there a CCM cleanup process to remove the empty catalog categories from SRM?

Greg: we're experiencing the same issue. You can try re-publishing using the "Entire Catalog" method, instead of "Publish Changes", and see if it cures it.
As a side note, in the search engine, your users can go into the index display of categories. In this view, only populated categories are shown, in contrast to the hierarchical view.
