Bose Sounddock remote doesn't work with 6th Gen 160GB iPod Classic

I have recently purchased a Bose Portable Sounddock and whilst my iPod Classic (160GB 6th Gen) will work in the docking station, the only buttons on the remote that work are the volume buttons - everything else has to be done on the device. It does charge when in the docking station as well. I have an iPhone 4 that works perfectly a Nano that works perfectly but the Classic won't. I have spoken to Bose who tell me that there should be no issues with my Classic. I have reset it to factory settings and it hasn't helped. I have tried another Sounddock in a local shop and it has the same issues.
Can anyone suggest a way to fix this? Any help appreciated.

Assuming that the Bose Soundock, is brand new and not refurbished or pre-owned
My Suggestions
Check that the remote batteries are good.
Hard Reset the iPod, (press menu and select buton for about 10 secs or till the Apple logo comes ON)
Restore the iPod (this is to fix any corrupted firmware)
If the above doesn't work, bring the iPod to the Bose store and try it on their Soundock (bring your remote and test)

Firefox command line option "-no-remote" doesn't work with profile.

I want to run the stripped version of firefox in background with one application and another full version of firefox for normal browsing. I have created the profile for the stripped version of firefox and loading the same using command firefox -P "stripped" -no-remote/firefox -no-remote -P "stripped". But when I start the full version of firefox by launcher "firefox" than it directly loads the stripped version even used the -no-remote option with profile. So I have created launcher for firefox and used the -no-remote with default profile like "firefox -no-remote". It works when first time I click on launcher but for second click it shows the message "Firefox instance is running, or not responding. close the firefox and restart the system". I have gone through the online available documents that suggests that use the -no-remote option with profile so the default profiles works correctly. But -no-remote option doesn't work with the profile. So is there any way to launch the full version of firefox by launcher on second click on launcher?

If I use the above command than the new firefox window get the configuration from the stripped even if I have used the -no-remote.
I use the -no-remote with firefox default than it works for the first time.
I have created the launcher for firefox default. So if I click second time on launcher than it doesn't work.

Remote sync well with iPad .. Impressive
However, it doesn't work with any hyperlinks!
It's simply an image and swiping the pages ... Ignoring all hyperlinks ... It does work with media but u would have to put them in sequence in your slides. If you work with many hyperlinks within a slide, you can't get any to work with the remote!
Quite disappointed that Apple actually charges for an app so simple with no value added services!
There are many free apps doing the same simple tasks.

Remote doesn't work with Universal Docking Station

I have an iPod nano 3rd gen. Whilst in the dock the remote doesn't work at all until I select some music manually using the nano controls. Then I get a response. This is the second docking station from Apple.
Surely it has been designed to work with the remote as soon as it has been docked to enable scrolling through the menus? There are archived discussions from years ago about the same problem and no solutions! It appears that this product is known to be defective by Apple yet they do nothing and when you call them they act as if the problem doesn't exist. They appear to be selling products that don't work and then do nothing about it.

Now, I have to be in iTunes music to get it to work and it only allows volume, playing of files in a playlist and to next song. Are any of you guys having issues with VERY limited use of the remote and lack of really a benefit from using a remote because you have to touch it anyways to change through songs or video??? Are you guys wondering why you even bought it if the remote is not supported as a functional addition?

The iPod "classic" model from 2006 would be a 5th gen iPod.
According to the Apple Store listing for the Earpods

that iPod model is not listed under Compatibility.
For the 5th gen iPod, I believe the available remore control from Apple was the Radio Remote (MA070G/A), which connects through the dock connector.

Keynote Remote Doesn't work with iPhone, iPad

I have the latest versions of Keynote on my iPhone 5S, iPad 4 and MacBook Pro 13" with Retina Display.
All three devices on the same WiFi network. Using WiFi I was able to remotely control/play the presetatnion between iPhone 5S and MacBook.
However, it doesn't work between iPhone 5S and iPad 4. Any help ?
I tried Bluetooth as well. They seem to not discover each other and neither able to remote control.

After having to upgrade to the latest version of iOS Keynote (because I edited one of my presentations online through iCloud), I received the message that Keynote Remote is to be discontinued. The alternative they offer is to download Keynote onto your iPhone as they have integrated the remote feature into the full program.
The problem that I found is that space is more of a premium on my iPhone than my iPad and I don't use the full program on the iPhone, as the remote app takes only 3MB and the full app? 444MB.
I hope Apple receive similar complaints about this as nearly half a Gig for what will amount to a remote for Keynote is preposterous. I have already purchased my 16GB 5S, it's not as if I can put more memory in it now.

Iphone remote doesn't work with itunes anymore.

I've replaced my wireless router in the last week, but I think remote still worked after that. I don't know what is going on. Firewall is turned off, bonjour is running (I can see the homesharing from another computer) But iphone remote doesn't find the library.

In iTunes > Preferences > Devices - check what remotes are currently paired, then remove any and start the process from scratch. Also, check you are signed into iTunes with the same account on your phone and mac.

Apple Radio Remote doesn't work with the iPod Touch?!

In the Future it will be possible to use the iPod touch with the radio remote. About a week before on the apple store site the radio remote was supported by the iPod touch.

Remote Doesn't Work With RCA TV

I have a Philips RC1445302 remote. I tried programming it for an RCA TV/VCR combo but can't get it to work. I tried all the RCA codes and then the process described in the manual when the codes don't work. Nothing works.
I'd appreciate any suggestions anyone has.

I double checked in the security pref pane and the IR port was not deactivated and it wasn't coupled to any remote.
Was the option to disable the IR receiver present? If so, did you try to "pair" the remote? If that doesn't work, you might use the Accounts System Preferences to create a new user, log out and log in as the new user. Does the new user have the same trouble?

Apple remote doesn't work with 2011 Mac Mini

Purchased today, 8/17/2011, from Apple store new Mac Mini with Apple remote. Sucessfully paired the remote in "Security & Privacy" area, the "Disable remote" box is NOT checked.
When I press the menu button nothing happens. If I start a show in iTunes the "play/pause" buttons work but nothing else. Front Row doesn't show up anywhere. Apple rep said remote worked w/new Mini just like it does with all Mac's.
Anyone heard why it doesn't? Is this a Lion issue that Apple will remedy. Total deal killer for me, as we prefer to use the remote when watching shows

Apple earphone remote doesn't work with lion

I usuly use my apple in-ear with my macbook pro; and the remote worked fine.
Until I updated the OS from Leopard to Lion, I can't use the remote anymore, as the in-ear as the original iphone earphone!
I precise that the microphone is OK.

When you say that your label data was kept in Appleworks was it kept in a database?
If so there is probably nothing that can open it under Lion.
I know when I did my migration from AW, all of my document I was able to open in Pages and all of my spreadsheet I was able to open in numbers.
The information I had in AW databse I had to export using AW and then I imported it to Bento. I did all of this before migrating to Lion.
If this information is that important to you, it may be necessary for you to run Snow Leopard again at least on a partition to get the data exported.

I do have AppleMobileDeviceService.exe running.
My USBs are plugging in straight into the laptop. All 4 work. Just today, I synced my iPod with multiple USB ports. It works for the iPod, but the iPhone won't pop-up. The iPhone does not appear in iTunes as a button anywhere.
I am unable to use another computer for this. I can actually go into iTunes, add file to library, and add photos that way. So, it's recognized by my computer.
This should have been seperated. Basically, I don't have another computer accessible to me to back-up sync on iTunes with.
The last part means in iTunes, I can click "File > Add file to library" and the iPhone is shown as a camera icon. I can click on it and have access to photos. I can add those photos to the iTunes library. That's about as far as the connectivity goes with the iPhone right now.
