Both Firefox 5&6 freeze my Galaxy Tab everytime when visiting certain sites:

One that is small for the page with all the images and the other is the full size image. Decoding full size images take a lot of processing power. Until phones have better processors and more memory pages like this will be a challenge to load.

thanks for the answer but not only can I not obtain my security Key. That is half of the problem. Also when I go thru the motions of entering a 12 digit key on both my computer and android I get a "progress" bar on the android and the screen says "waiting for device" and eventually firefox on the android crashes.

I'm having the same issues you are having on my S3. I was on the phone with tech support (Verizon) last Friday for about an hour. I had to get a bit nasty with the tech when he attempted to blame Samsung for this (Samsung didn't release that update without Verizon's OK- and have you noticed Verizon has added their logo to the startup now?).
My data usage has gone up, battery draining much faster (and I have an extended battery!) and I had to re-load some of my widgets on the phone (including the My Verizon widget). The tech had me start the phone in Safe Mode (holding down the power, volume rocker and Home button at the same time until the Samsung logon screen shows then let go of the power button while continuing to hold the other two buttons until the phone logs on completely).
Whatever he did remotely seemed to make the phone act better yet he decided I need the update 'reflashed' to the phone. First he credited my account $30 to take care of any possible data overages. He then contacted my local Best Buy store to see if they could 'reflash' (upload the update again) the phone.
I went to Best Buy and had it done the next day. I think the phone was better before the 'reflash'! The tech gave me his personal Verizon cell number so I will be calling him back today.
An update for the update is coming yet the release date hasn't been confirmed. The tech said my account will be monitored for any overages in which I will received credits to cover it.

How do I stop Firefox for Android from popping up the on-screen keyboard when loading a page with a search box on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2?

When I go to certain sites on the web which have search boxes, Firefox will pop up the onscreen keyboard as the page load completes, without me doing anything to focus the search box. It's annoying to have to tell the keyboard to go away each time before I can navigate in the page.
I specified the device I am using (Galaxy Tab 2 7 inch) because it uses a nonstandard keyboard applet, called simply the Samsung Keyboard, which could be doing something different than the regular Android one. I don't have the option of switching to the stock Android keyboard.

That won't help iamjayakumars. That pref blocks popup windows on load. The keyboard is not a popup window.
This behavior happens because the website sets focus to a text box on the page. Firefox is following the standard behavior for desktop browsers.

How do I get Firefox for Android to recognize the built in camera on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7plus running 4.0.4?

The new Firefox works great on my Galaxy Pad, but does not recognize the built in camera allowing me to upload videos to the web. I do not have that problem with Dolphin.
When I go to a website that allows me to upload videos and click on record, Firefox states that I do not have a webcam connected. The Galaxy Tab 7Plus has two cameras, one facing each direction. I do not have this problem with other browsers.

When you click the internet (globe) icon you may be able to choose check the 'Use by default for this action' check box then select Firefox.
If not then you will need to open the Settings > Applications > the click on the default browser and press the clear defaults button. Then follow the above directions.

Font rendering is screwed up on my Galaxy Tab 2 7

I'm using the latest Firefox Android browser on both my Galaxy Tab 2 7 running Jelly Bean as well my old i9000 phone running Gingerbread. On the phone, font sizes are rendered consistently across sites. However, on the tablet, pages such as Google News home page are messed up with text blocks that are rendered in the same font size on the desktop or phone being rendering in varied font sizes. This problem is also found on other sites. Is this something to do with the different font rendering on Jelly Bean that trips up many an Android app since Firefox seems to work fine on Gingerbread and, if so, can something be done about it as it is an excellent browser otherwise?

Firefox and every other smartphone browser uses an algorithm to make pages designed for desktop browsers more readable. Though you see it more often on Firefox because website designers have been building restrictive mobile sites that only work on Safari iOS and the Android stock browser.
There are certain web sites such as forums where this algorithm does not work so well. This results is 'random' text sizes. If you want to make the text size regular but smaller on desktop websites you can go into the Firefox settings.
* Press the menu button
* Scroll down to the settings and tap it
* Scroll down to 'Text size' and tap it
* Press the small 'A' till the text size is at the smallest size
* Press set

I downloaded Firefox for Android on my Galaxy Tablet 7.0. The browser works fine when I first open it. When not in use and try getting bk on, nothing loads up.

Firefox has suddenly gone wrong. I was successfully running both Firefox and Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7. My laptop is new and has plenty of RAM and HDD. I auto-accept upgrades including the most recent Firefox upgrade and the suggested upgrade to Adobe Flash 10.1. But after this, Firefox stopped working and does not work when I re-load Firefox 3.6. Also IE8 now works very slowly and does not locate major websites like Microsoft without a 'can't find the website message' and having to pressing Return a second time. When I do get to the Mozilla website and click on the button to try to download Firefox 3.6.6, I get this message "Oops! Internet Explorer could not find mozilla3.snt.utwente.nl". Can you help with what has gone wrong? As it stands, I can't use Firefox at all. Note: because Firefox did not work after the upgrade, I've downloaded the IE8 version of the Adobe Flash 10.1. What I really want is to be able to use both Firefox and IE8. But is this possible if they use different versions of Adobe Flash?

I have been having the same problem as the original poster. After upgrading to Ffx 3.6.6, the program asks you to upgrade to Flash Player Plugin 10.1. I download and installed 10.1 only to find videos weren't loading.
In my case, the problem is the previous installation of Flash Player (9.0.47) was somehow messing things up. To fix this, because I already had Flash plugin 10.1 installed I had to uninstall 10.1 using the uninstaller from adobe and then manually remove any files related the old flash player plugin 9.0.47
Here is a run-down of my process:
0. To check if you have a previous installation of the Flash Plugin lurking around, in Firefox go to Tools -> Add-ons -> Plugins (tab). At this point you may seen both Flash plugins.
1. Proceed to uninstall Flash Plugin 10.1. Adobe provides an uninstaller here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
( you have to make sure you have nothing running when you execute the installer).
2. On my Mac (sorry I don't know what it is in Windows) I searched the hard drive for any files/folders with "Shockwave". I found a folder called "Shockwave 10". It wasn't removed by Adobe's uninstaller. For safety I deleted it and then emptied the trash.
3. I then went to My HD -> Library -> Internet Plugins.
Remove the file and folder named "Flash player.old"
4. Restarted; ran the Adobe Flash Player 10.1 installer. Restarted again.
5. Opened up ffx and double checked the plugins list (see step 1). Version 10.1 is installed and available. Went to problem sites to test it out and Success!

HP Deskjet 2540 and Galaxy Tab 3 - cannot print wirelessly

I would be very grateful for help with the following issue.
I have an HP Deskjet 2540 and a Galaxy Tab 3 (Android) and wish to print wirelessly from the tablet.
I have installed the ePrint app and the ePrint All-in One Remote app on the tablet.
In order to print I have to change the tablet's wifi connection from my home wifi to the printer's wifi which means that I cannot print straight from the internet.
I have tried saving web pages and then printing i.e not using the home wifi but a message appears on the tablet saying " Connect to Samsung printer".
My question is therefore, how do you print when you can only have one wireless connection on the tablet at a time i.e either the home wifi or the printer? Every time I want to print, do I have to change the wifi connection on my tablet from my home wifi to the printer's?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that you are unable to print web pages from your Android Galaxy Tab 3 tablet because you are using the printer’s wireless direct feature which does not have internet connectivity.
Let’s get the printer connected to your home wireless network. If you have a computer running a Window or Mac operating system it’s fairly easy to connect the printer. Please follow the steps in the Installing the Printer Software for a Wireless Network Connection document for the operating system that is running on your computer.
If you only have your tablet available, please follow the steps in the post by @Jon-W titled “How can I setup a Deskjet 3050a/J611 to my Chromebox?”. Please start where he says “There is another alternative but it can be hit or miss”.
Once you have the printer connected to your wireless network you should be able to print web pages as both devices will now be connected to your wireless network. Please let me know how it goes.
