Both Indesign CS3 and CS6 installed on the same PC?

Is it possible to have two Indesign versions [CS3 and CS6] installed on one desktop PC [running Windows XP]?
I would only use one version at a time. The problem is I’ve been working with [and would like to continue working with] freelancers who still use CS3; but I’ll soon be hiring others who have migrated to CS6.

Thanks for the reply. I’m far from being a sophisticated user of Indesign. I do export .indd files to PDF on occasion. As for colors, I occasionally use the swatch tool, although I couldn’t tell you the difference between RGB and CYMK. Hopefully I could make adjustments to the CS3 version for any slight changes incurred by installing CS6 on the same PC.

Yes...the license is cross platform and allows 2 licenses installed (cross platform), not to be used at the same time.

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. But you'll still need the password.
Once you have the computer authorized to use the account she could change the password again to stop you buying apps on her card (assuming it's not on yours!). It would lock you out of upgrading them too but they should work unless she uses the deathorize all feature.

The warning about the warranty is light hearted, I think at one stage it warned "here be dragons" but also intended to make us think as it warns that making changes may produce problems.

This happens to me all the time.
If is a one page PDF it seems as though it comes over already open and inline in the body of the email. Multiple page PDF files show as the PDF icon.
I can't find any official documentation of this - other than based on my own experience with PDF attachments in my various email accounts.

You can install Crystal Report 8.5 and 9 on same box.
However, there are chances that dll may conflict and few issues may occur.
Try to install on different harddrives.

Getting Logic master to send to both 1-2 and 3-4 at the same time

I have an native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1 'sound card' that I'm running 2 different sets of M-Audio monitors off of. My question i, can I run the master output to both 1-2 and 3-4 at the same time so I can easily check mixes on both sets of speakers without changing every single tracks output?
Also, is this possible to do in iTunes also? I can find nothing in Logic (or anywhere) that will allow this and I initially thought my device was broken until I simply choose 3-4instead of 1-2.

How about routing all the outputs that are currently on Output 1-2 to a bus first then:
Option 1: Switching that bus's output between outputs 1-2 and 3-4 (for A/B comparisons)
or
Option 2: Use the Send on that bus's output to another bus, route that second bus's output to 3-4 (so both busses are sending audio to both sets of speakers simultaneously).
As an alternative, the Mackie Big Knob is a great hardware solution for routing a signal to 3 sets of speakers, allowing you to switch among them with simple button presses.

First restart your mac and try again.
It could be
that the router and the TC are interfering wirelessly with each other.
You can check this by pressing the option key while clicking on the wireless icon on your screen
Open Wireless Diagnostics
enter your user password
Press CMD 4 then Scan
You will see all the wireless channels being used in your location and you can check if they are on the same channel
Make the SSID for the TC simple like MyTC
Set 5Ghz to auto
Update the TC
Try again

Can I install both Snow Leopard and Windows 7 on the same version of VMWare 5?

Even though I am running Apple OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.3 on my new 2013 iMac, I have just installed VMWare's "Fusion 5" so I can have Windows 7 installed on the "Fusion 5, for limited usage needs.
I also would like to have a running version of Snow Leopard available to run my large collection of original Lynda.com training DVD's and CD's ... which unfortunately, now only allow the Lynda.com GUI player to operate in (and up to) Snow Leopard (at least this is what the Tech folks at Lynda.com have told me).
Since Lynda.com is no longer producing any or their training programs on CD or DVD any longer, and because they have stopped supporting their training programs to run on Lion and above, I will have to have a version of Snow Leopard installed to run these training programs, and still be able to run them using the Lynda.com GUI player.
So here's my dilemma:
1. Can I install both a version of Snow Leopard OS on my "VMWare "Fusion 5" .... along with a running version of Windows 7 on the same "Fusion 5"?
2. Do I install only the Windows 7 on the VMWare, and find some other "device" to run a version of Snow Leopard off of?
3. Do I consider using "BootCamp", in conjunction with "Fusion 5", to get access to both Snow Leopard and Windows 7?
Has anyone had any experience installing BOTH a previous (older) version of Apple OSX ... AND ... a Windows OS version on one installed version of VMWare "Fusion"?
OR
Any suggestions on how to set up having access to both Snow Leopard and Windows 7 .... while keeping OS Mountain Lion as my main OS?

I am not a lawyer, so I am only giving an opinion. Basically there is the intent of the license as I read it (you might refer to the license if you want to interpret yourself) is to have teh software installed on at most 2 machines and be used by you on only 1 machine at a time. Within this context, if you had both 9 and XI on the same machines and are only using one at a time, the intent seems to be met. However, lawyers love technicalities, as that is what keeps them employed. I might go to my machine with XI and take a brief look at the license and I would suggest you do the same.

You can activate the check-out option in the configuration for your site.
Sites/Manage Sites. Then klick the name of your site and click the edit-pen.
Choose Servers, Click the name of the site and then the edit-pen again.
Finally choose the Advanced button and check the "Activate file check-out" box
and fill in name and email.
Now every time you or your partner works on a file on the remote-server
you get a little icon saying that so and so have checked in or out this file.
Also try the Design Notes under Advanced settings that can be handy when
working in a team.

Can I have both iMovie 11 and iMovie 6 on the same computer?

I like the ease and layout of the previous iMovie. In my mind, it's quicker and more precise. But, at the same time, there are some good features of iMovie 11 I also like. So, I was going to download iMovie 6.0.3 and just use both of them, but then I started worrying that if I installed it, it might mess up iMovie 11, or the installation simply might not work. The pop-up window told me it is supposed to automatically upgrade anyway. I want both of them on the same computer, is that possible? Is it okay to just download and install it?

The famous 'free' 6.03 was NO fully functional version of iMovie!
It was just a special update for those, who didn't like then new iMovie08 - which wasn't more than just a demo, imho.With appearance of iM09, v6.03 was pulled by Apple…-
You need a 'real' installer disk with an old version of iLIfe to install iMHD6.
There's no legal way to download an obsolete version of iMovie.-
iMHD6 and actual iM11 can co-exist on the same Mac.
Afair, you need MacOS 10.6 to install it…

I am combining the functions of a PC desktop and PC Laptop onto a new iMac. I do have VMware's Fusion to run Windows 7 Home Premium, but I'd really like to sync both my iPad (first generation) and iPhone 4 to the Mac and move away from the Windows platform. In addition, with iCloud, can I determine which apps are synced to each device since some apps are designed for the iPhone and don't have corresponding iPad versions (with full screen size). Just plug the two devices into the Mac, as if the other one didn't exist. iTunes will keep them separate and allow you control sync of apps and media content as you wish.
As to iCloud, for the iTunes in the Cloud feature, if you use the same iTunes Store account on both the iPad and the iPhone, you'll want to turn off the automatic download option in the Settings -> Store preference pane on your devices. Then you can sync, download and update as you wish on each device.

How do you uninstall and re-install on the same computer and keep all of your 'stuff'?

My TBird has gotten a little wonky and despite the best efforts of your support forum, it appears it is gonna stay 'wonky'.
Therefore, I would like to uninstall and re-install it and see if that solves the problem, but, of course, I would like to somehow export my messages/folders and address books.
I used an add-on called IMPORTEXPORTTOOLS to export my folders It gives you various options though and I didn't know the best one to choose.
Also, I couldn't figure out how to export my address book. I exported all of this to an Email product called CLAWS (which I can't even get to work...lol). However, if worse comes to worse, I can perhaps import them from the CLAWS client.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

ImportExportTools is good for saving/backup of your mail. For what you want, probably the zipped folders would be the easiest. You can export your address book(s) to a file (use LDIF; it's much easier to import later).
However, these are only pieces of the profile. With TB NOT running, you can copy your entire profile to another location/medium just by doing a file copy. Look at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-tb#w_how-to-find-your-profile I copy mine to a USB memory.
When you uninstall and reinstall TB, you will not be changing your profile! So if you want a really clean start, see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/using-multiple-profiles to create a new/clean profile. Don't delete your old one; you may need parts of it.
If things are still 'wonky' after a new start, let me know.
