Both Pages 4 and 5 on Mavericks?

Can I have both Pages 4 and 5 on Mavericks? Is that possible?
I need Pages 4.2 for opening old AppleWork files, but prefer to work in Pages 5.

If you have Pages ’09 v4.2 in /Applications/iWork '09, there are no further updates coming from Apple for that release. There is a standalone Apple iWork updater available from Apple that will update this older version of Pages to v4.3. It also updates older version 2 and v5 releases of Numbers and Keynote to the latest '09 releases. You may want to copy the /Applications/iWork '09 folder with the Finder (option+drag) to your home directory, as a backup, before you use the updater.
I just opened a couple of AppleWorks 6 word processing (text) documents in Pages ’09 v4.3 on OS X 10.9.4.
LibreOffice v4.3.1.1, released in the last week or so, does open ClarisWorks/AppleWorks word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics documents. It will figure out which document it can open and eliminate the guess work.
Why not drag/drop /Applications/iWork '09/Pages.app to your Dock. Repeat this with /Applications/Pages.app, so the icons are adjacent, and look like a dog and its owner sitting on a park bench. Don't have to move the programs around on your machine.

Under "Basic" in the "Printer Settings" of the Print menu, the dropdown menus for both "Page Setup: Sheet" and "Media Type" are frozen.

Frozen selections: I'm working from my Intel iMac trying to print (from both Aperture and Photoshop CS5) to my new Epson 4900 printer. When the Print menu comes up, under the "Basic" section of the "Printer Settings" the dropdown menus for both "Page Setup" and "Media Type" won't activate. All other options and selections work fine. Print Preview
Page Setup
Sheet
Then the print area and print titles (Rows to repeat at top, columns to repeat at top)
are all grayed out and cannot be selected.
If, however, I choose the
page layout bar and click print titles then
everything works fine.

How can i have Page Curl and video in same pdf?

Is ther a way that i can have both Page Curl and a Working video in the same PDF ?

Sorry, you are insisting in a functionality which is NOT supposed to work and will not work in some rare exceptions. It makes no sense to say I will that it works this and that way, when it does not work,, because this functionality is explicit not supported.
With Acrobat 9 and X it was possible to use SWF without extra Flashplayer on Computers, but with XI it will not work without Flashplayer,
It will never work with computer without Flashplayer installed or on any Android or iOS.
If you implement it, you must have first no-one-needs-it curly effect, and after it is done change to another page where with a page action will run a movie. But this will not work with many users.
Why do you want to have this effect, if you know that a lot of users will not able to see it? Even yourself will experience problems, when you try it on a different computer which has a different capability.

Download failure for pages, keynote and numbers

Can anyone help me?
I was having a very tough time updating pages, numbers and keynote under Mavericks - so, I upgraded to Yosemite.
Then I had a very tough time upgrading to Yosemite - now finally done.   And again, I receive the messages "Numbers/Pages/Keynote failed to download Use the Purchases page to try again"
Getting a little tired of this multiple failure process!!!
And thoughts on how to get these 3 programs properly installed? Nothing seems to work.
Please advise.

Please test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Stop when the problem is resolved. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
Rebuild the Spotlight index. If you try to search now from the magnifying-glass icon in the top right corner of the display, there will be an indication that indexing is in progress.
Step 2
Unlock the Network preference pane, if necessary, by clicking the lock icon in the lower left corner and entering your password. Cllck Advanced, open the DNS tab, and change the server addresses to the following:
          8.8.8.8
          8.8.4.4
That's Google DNS. Click OK, then Apply.
Step 3
Quit the App Store if it's running. Force quit if necessary.
Please triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
defaults write -app "App Store" ShowDebugMenu YES
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.

Can't open Pages '09 Document (Upgraded to Mavericks and Pages 5.0))

There is one Pages '09 file that I can not open now that I have upgraded to Mavericks and the new Pages. Of course it is an assignment that my son needs for school! When I double-click on it I get the message that the document could not be read, that it does not have a valid format. I tried opening it with the 4.3 version of Pages, but get the same result. I also tried to pull the document from the time machine, and same problem.
Any suggestions/work-arounds? I tried simply renaming the file format--no luck. Do I need to repair permissions?
I am on a 3-week old iMac 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 with 8GB 1600 MHz DDr3, 1GB old school drive.

While in Safari with your first window open go to the File menu and select New Window. That will open the second window on which you can navigate to your second web page. Resize both windows to fit on your display.

I am having an issue where whenever I am at the document list and do edit, to copy or delete a document the iPad locks up. Happens for both pages and numbers. Also happens on my iPhone, but only once in a while. Help.

Printing on both side of the form page front and back

Hi experts,
             while developing a purchase order i have come across a requirement to print on both sides of the page on the front side i wont to print the normal calculation and on the back side i have to print the terms and condition of the company what should i do for this please help.i have already created the PO which has to be printed on the front side just i wont how to print even on the back of the PO,Should i create a new window or should i go for a seperate smart form.

1. Assign next page of first page to terms and condition page. and assign terms and condition page to next Page. Goto terms and condition page attributes and uncheck the counter button.
In Case the printing ends of only in first page then put a command line with condition based on your requirement to trigger the Terms and condition page.
ex: page1 -> first page
      page2 ->second page
     terms-> terms and condition page.
assign Page1->terms
    and terms->page2 (Uncheck the counter)
    and page2->terms

They are not free unless you purchased them in the past on the App Store. However, if the following applies then you can get them free:

You should also be able to access your docs (even without the Pages app on your iMac) by logging into iCloud.com and using the Pages for iCloud beta app via your browser.
(By the way your iPad uses iOS and not OS X)

It's not correct at all. It is true that Apple is offering Numbers, Keynote and Pages for free, but only for users who have purchased a Mac after October 1st, 2013, and for existing iWork '09 users. If you have not got iWork '09 and you purchased your Mac before October 1st, you need to pay for these apps.
The new iWork version (Numbers, Keynote and Pages) is criticised by its lack of features. Instead, I recommend you to get LibreOffice or, if you need the most complete productivity suite, Office for Mac. Give LibreOffice a try first

Your Windows system will not open any Pages, Numbers or Keynote documents. No applications exist for Windows that can open those formats. You will need to export your documents in Word, Excel and PowerPoint formats, respectively, before you'll be able to view and edit the documents on your Windows system. The iWork documents can natively open Word, Excel and PP documents, though there are limitations on what can be imported (for instance, Numbers does not support all possible Excel functions). Consult the documentation for the relevant iWork application for details on importing and exporting.
If you are asking how to get the documents from one system to the other, then there are several ways to do that, including file sharing, using an external drive (hard drive, USB flash drive), or emailing the documents to yourself. Which would be best for your situation I can't say without more details about your usage.

Installed OS X Mavericks Now Pages, Keynote, and Numbers is not longer free

I just purchased a refurbished Macbook pro with retina display on sunday and I recieved it yesterday, I went into the app store and pages, numbers, and keynote were all free before I upgraded my system to Mavericks. After the update the programs are all 19.99 now. Any ideas on what I should do? Thanks in advance

Both Pages and Numbers have stopped working. All my other apps seem fine. I can open the initial screen for both apps with the gray background but nothing else functions. I regularly update and sync the iPad and the linked pc.

Before you take the drastic step of restoring your ipad as gire.prasad suggested, it may be that the apps have not fully downloaded to the iPad. First check that the icons on the springboard don't say either "Downloading" or "Installing". If they do, then tap them again to restart the download.
If that doesn't work, go into the Appstore app and find them in the purchased tab. There may be an indicator that allows you to restart the download process there.
