Bottom box that shows contents of messages is gone

My message viewer shows all the mail messages in the inbox. It used to have a box below that showed the contents of the mail message that was highlighted above. Now the box below is gone and I can't figure out how to get it back.

The panes on the mail browser window are resizable - it sounds like you've just resized the message pane to be zero, leaving the full window for the message list.
All is not lost, though - the divider will just be at the bottom of the window. You should be able to click it and drag it up to restore the message view.

LR5 when I use the crop tool or the brush tool the DONE box that shows up in the bottom corner is gone. How do I get it back?

When I go into the crop tool (or any other tool) there is usually a DONE box that shows up on the bottom to exit the tool. Recently it disappeared. Now to close the crop I have to use the short cut key or click the tiny little "close" on the side. Is there a way to get the done button back? I updated with the latest software update and also reset all custom setting just incase I changed something accidentally. Any help would be appreciated.

Need To Create Box That Shows Previous Month Label And Amount Of Sales

I am using CR2008
I am creating a report for our salesmen and one of the fields in the report will be a text box that shows what the last month was. For instance, if the report is run this month, the report will plug July 2011 into the box because that was what last month was. Tied to this will be a salesman's total sales for last month that should show up in a box. I will place this box right next to the salesman's name on the report as the names will be static.
I have several of these to do and if I can see the method I can re-create it for the others.
How would I do this?

You can create a formula to get last month and this formula can be placed in a text box.
dateadd('m',-1,currentdate)
or
Month(currentdate)-1&" ,"&Year(currentdate)
This formula can be placed for all your salesmans

I also want it to not only select the layer on the actual project, but put a hashed line around it that allows me to resize it manually, without having to do it in another window. Does that make sense? I cant even get the layer to select. PLEAE HELP. Id also be able to just click on the layer and drag it. It wont let me, and I am confused.

If you were serious to learn Photoshop, I'd advise you to take Photoshop classes at your nearest community college or some such institution, to take a subscription to lynda.com, to watch all the Photoshop videos at Adobe TV, to google for specific video tutorials on You Tube and for other tutorials in text format.
Even the Help menu in Photoshop can be a great starting place.
Don't expect to find in Photoshop the kind of hand-holding features that Elements has and that appeal to beginners and amateurs.

If you check the raw message source you will see that the content is there but it is under "alternative" content. To show this "alternative" content in lion mail press:
Command+Option+P
Unfortunately you need to do this each time you view the message.

How do I get rid of small Squares/boxes that show in pdf document in Reader X

I received a document as an attachment to an e-mail. It has a tiff extension, but shows on the e-mail as a pdf. It looks fine when I view it on my browser. When I download it and open, It opens in adobe reader and has small squares in the background. I am using the free version of adobe reader X.

Weird black box that shows what i am on but won't go away.

i have no idea why it popped up but it is annoying cause there is a black outline that surronds something and if i dont notice it and try to scroll down on the page it will pop me back up to were i was. Help!

Probably VoiceOver. Go to System Preferences - Universal Access - and turn off VoiceOver.

How t change name that shows for messaging

My husband and I used to share an Apple ID and devices now we each have our own. I changed my Apple ID information so it only has my name. I signed out and then back in on my iOS devices but the still show his name on instant message. To make matters more confusing, it show his nickname when I instant message which we can't find anywhere in the Apple ID profile. How do you change the name that show for instant message. Where does that name come from if not the Apple ID profile?

Ditto on Clinton's suggestion using OmniDiskSweeper. It is an excellent tool.
It may seem elementary, but do empty Trash. Only then do you gain storage space.

I have this problem too.
The entire email says
((No Sender)
(No Subject)
This message has no content
Two are dated 12/31/69
and one came in today at 8:34pm (This last one has a "2" next to it which may indicate there are two of them?)
There is no trash icon on the screen and there doesn't appear to be ny way to delete them.
How do I delete them?
